Can I do less and a 1-star rating? Because I am borderline in tears over my nails. First time here and definitely my last. I asked the man a doing my nails more than once to fix the same things in each nail and I gave up and stopped asking. There's gel polish dropped around all my nails and in my cuticles. I asked for square nails and they're all uneven and jagged. He cut them so short that my own mails started bleeding because he kept filing. And to top it all off he let a puddle of nail glue on the bottom of my nail, then let it dry and peeled it off and my nail started to bleed a little... then he continued to put acetone on that finger to get the rest off.. SO not happy. Never going back. Not even going in to get my money because I'm counting this as a charity donation. Hopefully he gets better. read more

Review is for the eyelash extensions and eyebrow waxing ONLY. Though I will update once I've had a chance to get a mani/pedi. I got my eyelash extensions done here at a great price. $25 and everyone was complimenting me left and right. It took about 30 minutes for both the wax and the extensions; Kelly told me that the extensions go quicker once you are used to them. As it was having my eye open that way was weird to me and felt drying so I blinked quite a bit. She took her time, applying the lashes piece by piece with a very steady hand. I was incredibly impressed. The lashes are supposed to last anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Mine lasted at the low end of that but I forgot a couple of times not to wet them and I noticed that every time I did the lash condition worsened. I think now that I am a bit used to the care they should last longer. I called to verify pricing for the extensions and they did recommend I make an appointment. I got there 10 minutes early and she was able to take me right away. Eyebrows were some of the best waxing I've ever had, and she only charges $10. She got almost everything with a couple of wax strips and had to do minimal tweezing afterwards. I will definitely be going back. read more

Manicure pedicure visit. Pedicure was pretty good but my gel manicure didn't last more than 4 days before the Polish started lifting. I called made an appointment for them to get fixed. The guy was so rude on the phone. I showed up 20 minutes early for my appointment and again the guy was rude and said everyone was busy and I was too early. I waited until my appointment time went back in the shop and sat and waited. I only waited for 10 minutes then just walked out. None of the workers re addressed me and said I would be next or nothing. I will never go back to that place. read more

This was the WORST shellac manicure I have ever had. He cut my nails way too short. And never soaked my fingers to trim my cuticles or hangnails. He did no maintenance on the skin around the nail at all. No moisturizing. Nothing. The paint looks embarassing. Its slapped on and pooled around my nail and on my finger tips. And my fingers look all dried out and awful. Why on earth would you pay 20.00 to get your nails painted? Hortid work. He just didn't care at all. Never again. read more

I came here to get my eyelash extension. Before going in, I called ahead of time to ask for the pricing of the lashes. The lady said it was $25. During the service, she was interrupted multiple times. The door of the room I was in was left open during service so it felt a little impersonal. People kept coming in and out and she even stepped away a couple of times because of this. The service only took about 30 minutes if even. When I went to pay, the gentlemen told me it was $30. I was a little confused so I asked him why since I called in and she told me it was $25. He then asked the lady that helped me and she said its because I got the long lashes and its more expensive. She said she'd charge me only $25 this time but its normally $30. I had her $30 plus tip and left. Honestly, an extra $5 is not much but if you tell someone $25 and then charge $30 without even asking is dishonest. Service was too bad but I would say it was great. I walked in without an appointment and was told the wait was 20 minutes. After 40 minutes I left. It took 5 minutes before someone even spoke or greeted me. It was scorching hot in the salon and there was a lady in a salon chair who spoke up after waiting for 35 minutes and she did have an appointment. Then she didn't even wrap my bails correctly so it took forever for my gel to come off... wasn't even completely off and she decided to just do my color I picked. Excited to get a pedicure after 3 months with businesses being closed due to covid. Scheduled an appointment but still had to wait while others were taken ahead of me. Worst pedicure I've ever had!! Looks like a 5 year old painted my nails. Didn't see any covid precautions being taken...no hand washing or cleaning of chairs between customers. Employees wearing mask but some had only their mouth covered. Trying to fill every chair and not distance customers. Then I find out nail salons are not suppose to be open so it makes sense they were taking cash only and the open sign wasn't on. Never going back here again. Not sure how they get good ratings. I went here on a Friday to get my lashes done by Kelly. I should have left as soon as I walked in the door because there was a customer complaining about her appointment time and Kelly was going back and forth with her about the time that was scheduled in front of everyone in the salon. I had on lashes to start with and they were still pretty good but I wanted a fresh pair for the weekend and the lady that usually does mine is in Stockton at Hannah Nails, but I was at my daughter's house in Modesto so I decided to try Kelly's Nail Salon. She proceeded to take off the old pair of lashes that I had on and she was not gentle. I know what it feels like to have your lashes removed and I've never felt pain like this before. It was excruciating and when I told her that she was hurting me she stated that it was because I had too much glue. I told her that I've had my lashes removed at Hannah Nails in Stockton and it has never hurt me before. She proceeded to do my lashes, they were different than what I was used to, but I thought well I'll just give it a try. So that was Friday at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday morning I noticed that I had spaces in the lashes. I called her on Monday to let her know that some of the lashes had fallen out. She asked me did I wash my face duh! Of course I washed my face I told her, but I'm very gentle around the eye area. She explained to me that she'd been doing lashes for 20 years and all of her 20 years that she never had lashes fall off of any of her clients. Yeah right!!! I know for a fact that she was lying to me because I've been getting lashes for five years and it's impossible for Lashes not to fall off sometimes. Anyway she told me that she would repair the lashes but she was going to charge me half price. Which I paid her $45, and I told her no, I'm not paying half price!!! Are you kidding me 2 days later and lashes are falling out, that's because of her. She proceeded to go back and forth with me about the quality of her work and the 20 years of experience that she had. She blamed me for washing my face. I told her that she should have just apologized to me and offer to repair my lashes without all of the back and forth. It really upset me, because I'm not trying to get anything for free. But if I paid $45 for fake lashes they better last me at least two weeks. So I decided not to go back! For the following reasons number one, she was very painful and heavy-handed. Number two the whole time while she was doing my lashes my eyes were burning and tearing uncontrollably, although she did hand me a little fan. Number three I do not like the way she handled me, her customer service was unkind and not truthful. She's not perfect, because lashes fall off all the time. Except hers, yeah right! Please take my advice and do not let her do your lashes!!!! If I could give her a zero-star I would give her 50! read more

Walked in and said I want a pedicure ($15) and an acrylic white tip manicure($25). The lady puts me in a chair. one of them starts working on my toes the other one is working on taking my nail polish off my fingernails. when she's done taking the polish off my fingers, she put my hand in this little cup of water to let them soak. the worker asked me what color nail polish I wanted I respond with I just want white tip acrylic, she took my hand out of the bowl, (didn't even dry my hand off) she took the bowl & stormed off. didn't soak the other hand. after that they were just rude and rough. One of my fingernails bled, they're all bright red and sensitive, my nails aren't as short as what I wanted them to be, half the nails don't even fit my finger (there's a gap on both sides) & to fix that, she decided to push really freaking hard with her finger nail underneath the acrylic to try and push my nail under. She filed and drilled my cuticles and nails so roughly. She didn't even say anything when I showed her my finger that was starting to bleed. The lady who did my toes got mad (you could tell by her face) because I didn't want the pedicure she wanted me to get..They charged me $58. I don't get it. That's so much more than what I should have had to pay. I'm so disappointed in my experience this time. read more

I give everyone a chance and I hated this place. the guy doing my pedi was super rough, all he did really was scrub my feet (until one of them was bleeding a little) and then painted the nails. he then started my gel manicure and after one layer he made me pick up all my stuff then move. overall this place is one of the worst i went to, i should've known when i walked in and we sat and waited for kelly to finish doing her own pedicure. read more

My pedicure specialist had to cancel due to illness so I called this place to get a pedicure and asked if it could be now. Lady on the phone says yes, come now. I asked "no wait? You sure?" She says "Yes, no wait. We start now" I tell her I'll be there in a min since I'm a block away. I get there and there are only 2 people working. The place is super dirty, yuck. They tell me to sit and wait in a pedi chair. There is no liner or water in the bowl, so I wait for them to start getting ready. After 15 min, a guy fills the basin with cold water and I put my feet in. 10 more min goes by and a lady comes from the back and grabs a drill. I say hi and ask how she is. She looks at me funny and I ask her to please not drill my polish off. It's gel and usually they are soaked off in order to preserve the nail health. She tells me that soaking will take a long time and I need to wait. I tell her "you told me on the phone there is no wait. Had we started this process 25 minutes ago when I arrived, it would have been okay." She gets irritated with me and says something under her breath. She puts cotton soaked in acetone on my toes (no foil) and then immediately takes one off and starts to scrape it with the metal cuticle pusher. It's not coming off obviously, lol. She says "see, it's not coming off". Duh! I explain it takes about 5 minutes at least and she argues that it will take 30. 30 minutes to soak gel? I think not, lol. 10 at most! Finally just tell her never mind and leave. The place was dirty, she was rude, made me feel like it was my fault, and I'll never go back. read more

Like many nail places there are only a few good people and if you get anyone else they don't do vey well so here I love kelly, tony, and Kelly's daughter but all the other always mess up my nails. They have really good prices and I have been going there forever and my mom has been going since she was 16 so they know us there and I do love the work they do. Service could be faster, I have had to wait an hour to get in for a pedicure before but it was worth the wait. I will continue to go there for my acrylics and pedicures read more

Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!! Went here for eyelash extensions.................. Came out looking like a drag queen!!!!! Wow I told Kelly I wanted them to look NATURAL! No not natural at all! I got in my car looked in the mirror :0 Didn't even recognize myself :0 I went back in asked Kelly if she could take a few off she was very rude and said no. I then asked if she could just take them off all together! Kelly said "no next time she will do smaller and less lashes" Next time? Really? I don't think so! I drove home with my sunglasses on then soaked my eyelashes in baby oil,Olive oil,eye make up remover ........ After a few hours finally they came off taking half of my real lashes with them!!!!! I would telling anyone thinking of going here DON't Do It! Kelly was very nice while doing my lashes complimenting me over and over but once she realized I was not happy she wasn't so friendly at all! Offering no help or remedy.
