Came here with coworker for lunch. I recalled this place used to be a Casey's and after many months of renovation, this became the present establishment. As I walked in, they did a good job with renovation. I feel some industrial decor... quite modern. I was led to the reservation by the area that faces the corner of Front and York street. This area is like a green house/vestibule and it is very well lit with natural light. I like that. Anyhow, I started looking at the menu. I was contemplating between the pizza or a turkey burger with salad. I went with the latter choice as it is a bit more healthy than the fries option. My colleague picked a sustainable salmon. Both came out not too long after. For a lunch portion, the burger ain't bad in size. The "Landing" salad is quite good with lots of crispness from the apples. The burger itself could use a bit more balance in flavours. Cause all I can taste was the spice of the turkey. I mean I like it, but do wish other flavours were more noticeable. Overall, this downtown establishment ain't bad. It's right at the high traffic corner and the food ain't bad. Rating = 3.5/5 read more

We ate here our first night in Toronto. Fairly big place, so it was easy to get in. The food, service, and atmosphere were all good. We had the tuna and braised lamb shank, both very good. We liked the casual atmosphere and good menu and drink selection. Would definitely recommend! read more

I have always passed by this place while driving home so I'm surprised that I just came here recently lol! Anyways, during Covid-19 times - they gave us paper menus (possibly for one time use) and we sat outside on the patio. I can't remember our server's name, but he's a mix of Arab descent. He was amazing. My friends & I really got along with him, he was very informative about the menu, and the items on it. He helped each of us choose an ideal menu item and we all liked what he suggested for us. He was very attentive to our group, and was always around to fill up our drinks, and anything else we needed. In terms of the food, I liked my carbonara. Delicious, cooked and made to perfection. The white wine I had was a great compliment to the food as well. My friends and I tipped 15-22% on our bills. Excellent! read more

---------------- ATMOSPHERE ---------------- Atmosphere was spectacular the restaurant looked very nice on the inside. ---------- SERVICE ---------- The only thing that wasn't the best was the service, it took about 15-20 minutes to be greeted due to our server not noticing us there... and then we asked for an extra piece of naan for the "Moroccan Curry Chicken"(which tasted much better then expected ) waited another 10 mins or so for the naan.. Apparently it was just sitting there in the kitchen, I will say though they were nice enough to notice the wrongs and gave us a free complimentary dessert to try and right it; so a extra half star for that. ------ FOOD ------ The food was delicious, would recommend and eat again. I didn't mind my dish and everyone else in my party seemed to enjoy theirs as well. ---------------- CONCLUSION ---------------- I think all and all; we all enjoyed our time out to dinner. We had great convos and a great meal. Our party was heading to a play after so the 15-20 minute wait hindered us a little bit but I do appreciate the acknowledgement of that matter and the complimentary dessert.(I also think the server was a bit newer so I'll cut some slack on it). Would recommend. read more

A nice, fancy, a bit pricey downtown dining place. portion: pretty big, end up box half of lunch taste: pretty good service: 3/5, average service We went here for group lunch. The place is fancy and nicely decorated. It is the typical downtown-financial-district type of restaurant: people there are dressed up a bit, and it is a bit pricey. A dish costs about 20-30. I ordered MAPLE CIDER ROAST CHICKEN, which is pretty good. It is half a chicken, big portion. It is juicy and tender, with a sweet bbq favor. So of us ordered a salad with steak, which I header is also pretty good. I think the service is average, one of us ordered the steak with an extra plate of mushroom on the side, but the waiter forgot about the mushroom. It is a good fancy lunch place for business occasion, but I would not come here by myself for something casual. read more

Well. I've tried to like this place. I really have. But it's just not good enough for my patronage and money. Was out last night fir dinner with 7 GF. Holiday season celebration. Small portion's for everyone. Although 20 bucks for a sandwich with like 10 French fries. I kid you not! Margarita pizza was undercooked and bland. Wait staff extremely slow and not attentive. I know it's a hard job, believe me. I've done it. But clearing plates. Checking on us.....is not much to ask. Not worth Another try. Sorry to say. Too many other places that have better quality food. Ambiance and service. read more

First time coming to Kelly's landing. Though it's a large restaurant I don't recommend coming in with a large group especially when there is a sports game happening. We came on a thursday prior to a phantom of the opera musical and were quickly seated. However I saw a group of 4 ask to wait as the restaurant was filled before a raptors game. As for the food and service it was mediocre. We had to wait a bit before we received our beers. The burger was juicy but fries were average. Nothing spectacular. As for the carbonara I was anticipating more based on the reviews however it missed the mark for me. Pasta was a bit chewy and there was enough sauce. Price point is fairly high for bar food. I wouldn't recommend this over the other competing bars around the location. read more

Very conveniently located, just ~250m from Union Station on W Front St, Kelly's Landing has decent capacity. Even better is the fact that you can book your reservations through Open Table on busy Saturday evenings. On game nights, they even have the game on the projector. The music is played loud enough so that you don't have to yell to talk to the person across the table. There's enough room between tables so you can enjoy a good chat. In terms of food, we just ate the Nachos and boy they were good with decent quantity for the three of us. read more

We were part of team that were being appreciated by another team for our work on an initiative at work. Thus we landed on a weeknight at Kelly's. We got a counter height table and chair for about 30 of us. The weather that day was amazing and we were located right where the restaurant ended and the patio started. The team of servers assigned were really good and were very attentive. The restaurant was packed as the offices were being emptied. The location of this restaurant is amazing - right opposite Union Station, short walk from Rogers Centre or ACC ( or is it BNS Centre?). The food that was ordered was just appetizers and finger foods, not dinner. The items ordered were non vegetarian and some vegetarian. The only vegan items on the table were Fries and Sweet Potato Fries. The food looked amaze and most of them finished almost everything by the end of the event. Service amazing, good food, location you couldn't do better. What more could you ask for? read more

24 minutes. 24 minutes waiting simply for water, so why 5 stars? These 5 stars are not for the restaurant, nor the food, but for the manager. Never before have I seen someone commit to the consumer whilst carrying themself with such a high degree of selflessness. In light of our waiting, we had asked if they may had forgotten us, this is when we learned about the lack of staff. Thus the manager herself apologized profusely and went out of her way to take our order. A patron of party had ordered a Pepsi, however we were not notified about an absence of such. Instead, the manager had taken up this endeavor to LEAVE THE ESTABLISHMENT in search of Pepsi, which she did find. Overall, this dinning experience differs from all else solely based on the manager, Sabrina. Would recommend. read more

Came here after watching a football game at a sports bar. Really just wanted one more drink and dessert. Went and sat at the bar and my biggest quip about this place is that it took a little long for someone to finally realize we were there. Once we were attended to, everything else went pretty well. Their espresso martini is really strong and has a good foam. Their sticky toffee pudding is very very sweet but balanced with the vanilla ice cream. I couldn't finish mine because it was a little too sweet but the first initial bites were good. It's a good place to watch sports if you're sitting at the bar. read more

The food was excellent and service was on it. They handled my 3 and 4 yr old nephews very well and made us feel welcome.

I tried the pistachio gnocchi, and it was just okay. I got chicken on the side and it tasted slightly sour for some reason. The gnocchi was a tad too chewy and the pistachio flavor was not as strong as I would have liked. Service was okay given how busy it was- waiter gave us the wrong order at first and did not refill our waters until the very end when we asked for our bill. read more

Order my striploin steak medium rare and got it well done (see pic). I get that they were really busy at the time but it's really a joke how the steak was cooked. Came here with my Mom on Wednesday before she caught her train. We needed something quick and filling. I explained that the Landing was part of a chain but seeing as this part of the world is a land of chains, it seemed like the best option. I started with the $12 stein drink special, which seems like a real winner with the Bay Street Crowd. Lunch for me was the fish Tacos, while Mom had the seared Tuna Salad. The Tacos were quite large though it has this fancy coleslaw on top which I didn't quite fancy. The Seared Tuna was also a large portion and decent tasting Service was quite fast and efficient. Everything came out quickly so there was no danger of my mom missing her train A solid 3.5 read more

Omg, I would give this place a 1000 stars if I could! The food, the place, the atmosphere were all amazing, but what really sets this place apart is their manager Junior!!! I mean, holy crap, he went soooo above and beyond his job duties to be kind and compassionate towards us! We were so touched! It was more than just exceptional customer service. He really added the human touch in the way he treated us. We had been up since 3am, traveling from the western US to Toronto all day. We also had a difficult past few days which made everything that much more tiring when we finally got to our hotel and went over to Kelly's around 8p to eat. Immediately, Junior greeted us with a warm, friendly smile. As he made pleasant small talk, we mentioned that we had been up since 3am in order to come to Toronto and that we were really tired and hungry. So without even waiting for a server to be assigned, he personally took us to a table and brought us waters! So I asked him if he wasn't the manager here and he said he is and he normally doesn't serve the customers but he saw how tired we looked and felt our pain. So he just decided to serve us that night so that we could be seated and fed right away! I was shocked! I've been to countless restaurants but i have never seen the manager of such a big and nice restaurant personally serve the customers! But we were super touched because we really did need to sit down and eat right away and thank god for Junior, the food arrived promptly and he took amazing care of us for the rest of the night!! That's why i just had to write a review even though I hardly ever write reviews. This person really was so kind and thoughtful, this was more than business and customer service. This was genuine human connection and kindness. Junior is a winner of a man and this place deserves endless praise for being run by such a stellar human being! (The food we got were Gochujang cauliflowers, nachos, burger, and Togarashi tofu bowl which were all super delish!) read more

What an awful experience! We were a group of 10 who dropped in for a random round of drinks and appetizers and left with a very bad taste in our mouth. Due to miscommunication from the front door staff, we then had to deal with the rudest manager we have ever experienced. She arrived at our table and we hoped that she would help rectify the situation, but she simply amplified the problem. Overpriced drinks, lacklustre food, and terrible management. Never. Going. In the heart of Toronto, at the corner of Front and York, all tables on the north and east sides have an enthralling view of the bustle of the City. With the windows open you have the best of the indoors and outdoors. There is also an outside patio, with a burning fireplace, that is exquisite. The food is good and the service is welcoming. I wanted to take my sister and cousin out for some lunch after we spent all day moving things into my new apartment. We wanted a reliable restaurant, great atmosphere and service - that's exactly what we got from this place! We made our reservation for 3 PM initially through opentable and changed it a few times because we finished early. The hosts were fully aware of these changes and were able to offer us our own seating selection since it was only busy on the patio at the time. Germaine was quick to greet us and although we couldn't see her face through the mask, I could tell she tried extra hard to show us a warm welcome. She was very patient with us since it was our first time all out together at a new place. We ordered the steak frites, turkey burger, margherita pizza and the cauliflower appetizer - all were very delicious, especially the elderflower spritz! We had to have another round! I highly recommend this drink; it's refreshing and a unique blend of flavours. The steak was medium rare, chef's choice, but also mine! The turkey burger patty had apples in it, my cousin is a picky eater but he ate the whole thing! Margherita pizza is a simple one, but surprisingly difficult to master since it has so few ingredients. It was a large portion for one person so I got to share the last couple slices. What really surprised us was the cauliflower appetizer with gochujang sauce. My cousin was surprised how much it could pass a chicken alternative! Highly recommend as a vegetarian option. Germaine was very attentive, and sweet, I would come back just to get served by her! read more

Stopped here after work to meet a couple of friends. Place was super busy and we got on a wait list, estimated time 34 mins. How we our table was available in 15 mins. Our waitress came pretty much right away. We were waiting for our drinks to join so didn't order right away. Ended up just ordering a couple of appetizers. Both were tasty. The goat cheese dip as part of the trio was amazing! The garlic bread was also so warm and buttery and delicious! Service was good but a little slow, took us a while to wave our waitress down when we wanted to order something else/ when we wanted our bill. Loved the size of this place! This was our first visit at Kelly's Landing and we are impressed -- the view, the food, the service, everything was great. I had the Peruvian Chicken (which has a VERY similar taste to the chicken at Door FiftyFive in Port Credit) and my fiance had wings. The Peruvian Chicken was AMAZING! 5 stars. It's such a refreshing dish, something you'll definitely remember the taste of everytime you think of it. The wings were just as good and the exact flavour asked for. 5 stars here as well. The service was good, could have been a little better. Everyone has their off days but that energy shouldn't be passed on to customers. The restaurant has a large patio, however we chose to dine inside due to the humidity. The view is of downtown, not water or anything, however still a nice view -- good for people watching. I booked a table for 11 people for an after-work group outing. Kelly's Landing was very accommodating and OK-ed our reservation, without a need for a minimum spend. We were to be on the patio. A few days prior to our gathering, I got a call from them saying that they had fudged the calendars on their end and that we would be in the solarium instead. The solarium is an optional indoor/outdoor area with a roof that can be pulled back when it's sunny or down when it's not. I figured it wasn't a big deal so we stuck with the reservation. We were happy that we were in the solarium on the day of because it POURED and the patio patrons were all looking to move inside. We ordered only drinks and a variety of shareable appetizers. I would say all-in-all that we had a good experience. The oysters were a little bit overpriced for my personal liking though, especially since they were on the smaller side of things. Would come back. read more

This restaurant is conveniently located by Union Station so it's very TTC accessible. That's pretty much the only positive thing I can say. Well also the fact that it is a large restaurant so it is great for large parties. I was here for Superbowl watching pleasures. Ordered the Margherita pizza. I'm not exactly sure what i got..or if it was pizza, but I think I can safely say it was one of the worst meals I have ever had. It was oily...pools and pools of oil just sitting on top. I don't even recall any basil, no mozzarella that I could discern and then it had drizzles of balsamic vinegar on it. I ate 2 slices b/c i was hungry but I couldn't force myself to eat anymore It was so disappointing to say the least. This might be a great place for after work drinks, but I wouldn't even want to come back here again. read more

Kelly's Landing is located at the south west intersection of Front and University attached to the Citigroup building at 123 Front W. Fellow Yelper Tony F had made reservations for a group of us to enjoy the game at Kelly's Landing for Superbowl Sunday. The footprint inside I have to say is absolutely huge and deceivingly large considering how many places in the city don't have as much seating as this place. While this place is not exactly a sports bar they did well to be able to host the game considering there's a nice bar area as well as alternative seating which for the most part was empty for game day. The area surrounding the bar seems to be the most lively considering all the TVs are concentrated in that immediate area. For Superbowl Sunday they had a special outside of the normal menu which they were offering as a special. It was 25 dollars for what was an all you can eat pork picnic. They essentially roasted a big 175 pound pig which was disassembled at the station. Skin and ribs were in one container, pulled pork in another and other cuts were being carved at the station. Sides included corn bread, slaw, beans and considering the game was going to be several hours including the halftime show, 25 bucks is a great deal since you could always go back for more. For starters they had some sort of nacho or fries special as well. Basically they were "Fries Supreme" (a la Taco Bell) as well as "Nachos Supreme". The appetizers were about 13 bucks each and weren't that great in size and since we shared we basically just had a bit of a sample of each. The place had a variety of beer to choose from but I went with the 30 oz Dos Equis which was also on special for the day. This place may not have been the most ideal of venues for sports but it was better than decent. The food option was well worth the price of admission and the service was good as well. While I had a look at the regular menu the special just made the most sense considering the amount of time we'd be there. Otherwise this place just seems like the type of place to have business lunches or a quick drink. While it's right beside Union station I suppose it could be a consideration for pre-game meals considering how close it is to the sports venues in the area (ACC and Rogers Centre). read more

My final stop before boarding the train at Union to YYZ. Nice place but the host was rude (you can't Tellus to enjoy our meal, at least?). The server was just as unfriendly. The place is at a convenient location, but I think the price is a bit too high for the quality of food. I had a chef's special risotto with chicken, shrimp and lobster. There are good sizes of lobster chunks, but the rice itself wasn't cooked enough, it's still a bit hard. I didn't ask for redo because I was in a rush to go back to work. The price was $28. The 30oz Canadian special for $11 wasn't bad. Still a good vibe at the restaurant, maybe just don't order risotto next time. read more

I was in here for the Superbowl this year. The whole hog pig deal with sides was pretty good and service was really decent, but depending where you are in the room, the sightlines and the sound for watching a sporting event on the tvs was meh. It was especially true for the sound, basically couldn't hear anything as it was a bit echo-ey and bass to high. Also, it really wasn't much of a SuperBowl atmosphere. I've been throwing SB parties at various venues for a decade, and this basically seemed like any other night. They also wouldn't put on the American channels for the non-football fans to watch the commercials, which basically is a deal breaker. SO, this review is really for the SB night, it was ok. But I'll have to move on to another venue next year for all the reasons stated. I will come back for a regular night to see how it is though. read more

I had a great experience here, though I don't know how relatable it will be to anyone visiting here most other times. I came for their Superbowl party last week. Though they could've done more in terms of atmosphere for the party, they totally nailed it in terms of the food. For $25, they had a pig roast buffet. It was as advertised since they brought out an entire roast pig (head included) and then carved by the buffet area. The pig was cooked heavily in Jack Daniels honey liqueur. Of all meats, pork lends itself best to sweet and it certainly paired perfectly here. The skin was almost like candy and the pork belly literally shot out the marinade when bitten into. The buffet included cornbread, potato salad (dijon mustard-based - my favorite way), coleslaw (vinegar based - again my preference), along with homemade kettle chips and a few dips. A concise buffet, but each item was done very well and cohesive together. Terrific value at $25. A few at my table ordered from the menu. It looked pretty good, though I can't really speak to it. At the very least, they still deserve high marks based on my visit. It's not likely you'll come and a pig roast will be available, but I had a good enough impression of the place that I would at least give my blessing to anyone interested in checking the place out. read more
