We sat at a window table with a fantastic view of the iconic Royal York Hotel on three occasions recently. The staff was great, including Josh, Alexis, Daniel and the manager Diell (sp). They were friendly and really polished professionals. The food was well presented and their steaks are juicy and delicious. Fish tacos, butternut squash ravioli and the stuffed chicken and risotto were also excellent. The sticky toffee pudding was memorable, with a hint of spice. Wednesday features half price wine. We highly recommend Kelly's Landing. read more

This bar is well located by Union station and close to the Scotia Centre, Ripley's and the Rogers Centre as well as the theatre district. The patio is large and plenty of seating inside as well. It's worth making a reservation if you want a table at busy times. Bar seating is available also. The food is North American pub grub and good, although I found my fries over salted although the burger was excellent as was the brioche bun. Plenty of beer on tap and a wide range of wines etc complete the repertoire. The clientele are often quite boisterous so thi is not really the ideal romantic setting, but great if you're out with your crew! read more

When you come to Kellys Landing you GET what you payed for! You also get what you DIDN'T pay for. As a kid, when I came here I was in shock! Despite it being busy because the Blue Jays just finished a close game, there was plenty of room for me and my family. They sat us in a cozy corner spot with a perfect that's right PERFECT view of the march madness games that were happening at the time. Five minutes go by and suddenly the waitress (who is super nice by the way) brought us FREE appetizers! They consisted of carrots, celery, and crackers finished off with ranch dressing. As soon as I finished off the free appetizer the main course came. I order grilled salmon with fries. I put the fork in. I lifted some salmon to my mouth. And it was IMMACULATE it was so good that I finished it and ordered a second one immediately! Once I prepared to leave the waitress brought over FREE ice cream sandwiches! Looking back I had a great time. I got to spend time with my family that I don't usually get to spend since my grandma lives far away and my parents are constantly working. I'm so grateful for this experience. I love it here! read more

Stopped here straight off the bus from Niagara Falls for a quick dinner by the station, not expecting much. It was great! The Tagarashi power bowl was so flavorful! And my server Max was professional and efficient. Great location for people-watching from the patio, too. read more

Max. 2.5 stars 1 Star -My review starts with the reservation experience. I am trying to book a business lunch of 5 people. Their reservation phone line got cut after few seconds, after at least 6-7 attempts and no success. Tried booking through Open Table but only take up to 5 people; I reserved for 4 anyway and made a note to change to 5 people. Never got follow-up text or confirmation email. We showed up and the restaurant was not full at all so we still got our table. 2 stars - Service. Our server wasn't attentive. She didn't check on us on food and drink. She dropped the dirty plate on the floor at the end, and the food splashed on my dining partner's arm, and she didn't apologize or offer a napkin to clean up the mess. 2.5 Food was okay but not authentic at all. It is on a higher price range. Will I come back? Will I recommend it to others? Don't think so. read more

AVOID THEIR PIZZA'S HERE AT ALL COST. Delissio frozen pizza tastes 2x better. The pizza here is made on like a crust so thin it rivals a tortilla. But it's also cooked so dry that it's almost inedible. Their fried chicken sandwich was fine. read more

3.5/5 Came here on a weekday night, as I had some gift cards that I won. We were seated on the patio and our waiter Alejandro seemed pretty busy but was friendly and made the dining experience pleasant. He was attentive and made sure everything was fine even when he went on break for a few minutes. We ordered some cocktail and it did take a bit long but he apologized, saying that they were quite busy right now (I think there was a Jay's game that ended). I don't drink alcohol that often but I thought the Dragon Fruit Pisco Sour was very well made even though it did not include the dehydrated dragon fruit like it says on the menu. The Landing Caesar was also made well as well. Coconut Lime Mussels This was good, but the sauce was a bit too salty. The bread was also good and it went well with the dish but it was not focaccia like the menu states. Pistachio Gnocchi This dish was fine. The pesto cream didn't have a good pistachio flavor to it and the gnocchi was okay. The texture was quite squishy for a gnocchi but it had a generous serving of mushrooms. Not much artichoke though. Truffle Mushroom Risotto I thought the dish was tasty but lacked any truffle flavor, especially considering that it was $23.50. The risotto was definitely on the saltier side but it came with a generous serving of mushrooms so that was nice. However, I wish there were more variety of mushrooms with a bit more truffle flavor. Adding an 8oz steak for $12 was a great deal though. Although the steak could use a bit more seasoning (maybe they didn't because the risotto was salty?), the steak was cooked to my liking (rare). Overall, I found the food to be a bit pricey for what it is, but the cocktails were good. read more

We stopped on our way to CN Tower. The restaurant is upscale in design and many of the other guests seemed to be business people. We got fish tacos, you can add an extra which is nice when splitting them for groups of 2 or 4. The tacos were good. I really liked the smoked chili sauce on the side. The service was friendly but slow, particularly when ordering drinks. The waiter did drop and obliterate a plate when clearing our table. The restaurant is part of a chain and it shows. But despite that we enjoyed it. read more

I came here as a large group of 20 people. A pro about this place is that it's located next to union station and accommodates large parties. I've ordered the jungle bird which consists of these ingredients: tanqueray gin, campari, orange blossom & almond syrup, fresh lime juice, passion fruit juice, dehydrated pineapple This drink tasted tropical and I can't taste the alcohol in it. If you don't drink often then I'd recommend it. The cons I would say is that there's so much ice! If you look at the picture you can. See that approximately 80% of the cup was filled with ice. So it did taste a bit diluted and not as strong as I wanted. Overall, while the drink wasn't bad, it wasn't that special compared to other cocktails that I've had at other establishments read more

Made a reservation at Kelly's Landing to have dinner before the Leafs game. It was for 4 of us and we had no problem booking. We were seated quickly which was great but we were kinda right in the middle at a really large table. It took a bit for our server to come over and was tricky catching their eye sometimes but they were doing a great job! I had the chicken bowl with the ancient grains and veggies. It was good but not great read more

The food was good. The butter chicken was spicy and well flavored. The appetizer was a hit, the sauces resemble a pesto, cheese dip and chutney offering salty, savory and sweet flavors with crispy, thin and thick carbs to match. I honestly could have had the appetizer alone, it was really filling. My friend had the carbonara and said it was great! The ambience is comfy classic, with an outside patio. The service was initially at par, we had a little confusion with seating, but our waiter was great!!!!! He was attentive, gave great advice on options and was really engaged with us! read more

Modern contemporary restaurant with lots of natural light and large accesible patio. We were seated in a half patio/half indoor dining seat and it's just a perfect ambiance since you get a feel of outdoor dining and at the same time there's less noise which creates a relaxed eating environment. Service was also excellent, our server was Jonluca who's very friendly and efficient. Food and drinks came in fast and prompt eventhough the restaurant was bustling with activity from the lunchtime crowd. Everything should have been perfect except ... for the uninspired food. It was just passable and average. We really didn't enjoy the food as much as we like to. Crispy Calamari ($15.50) - The fried Calamari here is no different from the rest, a little bit greasy and not crunchy enough which is typical pub food. It would have been better if a kick of acidity or spiciness is added to the Aioli sauce that comes with it. Charcuterie Pizza (18.25) - This dish is the biggest letdown for me! The pizza dough is super thin and more like a flatbread pizza crust. The combination of the ingredients didn't really work and I feel like I'm eating a sweet instead of a savory pizza. The dates were overpowering and cloyingly sweet. The addition of something salty like a feta cheese would have balance the sweetness of the dates and the pizza would have been bearable to eat. Togarashi Power Bowl with Crispy Tofu ($18) - We ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl but they said that the Tuna wasn't available so we settled for the Power Bowl. Salad is just plain and okay. It has quinoa, edamame and other veggies plus tofu. Eventhough the tofu is spicy this is just a blah dish. Overall not sure if I'm coming back but if I do, would just go for drinks and eat elsewhere. read more

Tonight we visited Kelly's Landing Group and we had a really positive experience. We chose to dine on the patio to reduce our exposure to covid and this was our experience. THE FOOD: We ordered the power bowl and gnocchi. To my surprise, both the gnocchi and power bowl were gluten free. (I'll definitely have to go back when I'm craving pasta). - The Power Bowl: The power bowl was presented at our table beautifully. It featured a crispy tofu, and lots of vegetables, which complement each other nicely and it was served on a bed of quinoa. I found the quinoa quite dry. I asked for more of the mango pineapple chutney to richen the dish but the waitress brought me a hot sauce instead. I literally dipped my fork into the hot sauce and then took a bite of food to reduce the spice factor and enhance the moisture factor. All over, the dish was ok. Next time I might try the seared salmon dish or the poke bowl. - The Gnocchi: My boyfriend ordered the gnocchi and it was exquisite. Bonus 1 was, it is gluten free so I could actually try it. The gnocchi was fantastic! It had the right amount of sauce and the gnocchi tasted like it had spinach blended into the pasta loading it with great nutrients for the body. This dish featured an avocado pesto sauce and my boyfriend was really happy with his order. I actually told him I wish I ordered the same dish. Hehe Would we go again? Absolutely! I'll switch my order but we really did enjoy the service, ambiance and food. read more

Conventional and classic sports bar Service: The staff at the reception area were welcoming, but our server/the kitchen was a bit of a miss today, maybe it was too early in the day. October 16/2021: Tadaaaaa!! REVIEW #600!!!With my buddy Darren in the heart of the front street restaurant district stands Kelly's Landing. It was a Leaf Game night so the place was very busy with only 50% capacity. Rough start with my beer being flat & tasteless. Ordered the Crown Nachos. Biggest order of nachos I've seen in many moons! Kellys Landing is conveniently located outside of union station but honestly you can't tell that you're near the train station. The fried chicken sandwich is standard, decent flavor. Fries on the other hand were quite dry and underseasoned. You need to eat them with ketchup. The pepperoni pizza is ranked bottom 2 pizzas I've ever eaten, and it's #2. I would rather eat a slice of Pizza Pizza without any dip than this. The beer was more on the warm side than cold. read more

SHADY service. Be very WARY during Happy hour... went with my brother for post game drinks and bites and saw they have a Happy Hour after 9pm! Great. while looking/pointing at the happy hour menu to the waitress we ordered ($10 Nachos, $7 Stella, etc...) HOWEVER when the bill comes the Nachos are $22. I'm like what? The waitress is like "oh those $10 ones are like 5 chips". But YOU DIDNT ASK US WHICH ONE WE WANTED OR TELL US WE WERE GETTING THE BIG $$ ones. Shitty service. Also happened with the Stella. Supposed to be $7 for happy hour. So I have two. Oh wait on the bill it's $24 for two. Again the waitress: "Oh, you got the large ones - those aren't the happy ones those are smaller." Again, as a warning make 10000000% sure you are getting the "Happy hour" versions 'cause they will be super shady and upsell you without asking. read more

Were here over the weekend. Fairly large place, and almost full. All of the cocktail had the alcohol on the top and was not enough but we got enough to drink and did tequila shots too. Do get the nachos it was delicious. The service however was slow and overcharged us. As it was a large group we were being charged gratuity, which is fine. My husband and I got separate bills and hood was significantly higher than mine so we asked for the entire bill and saw we had been charged extra for a tequila shot and the server agreed it was a mistake and will correct it with the next persons bill. read more

The Restaurant is on a very busy corner where you can sit and see life pass by. The ambience is very welcoming, spacious, and bright with a great patio. The menu for drinks and food is interesting and the prices are reasonable. We tried the chicken pizza, steak and shrimp, and the lamb. The food in general was ok, the steak was a little bit chewy and the lamb was nondescript. Good portion sizes, nice sides and outstanding presentation. We started with cocktails, the jungle bird , the dragon fruit pizco sour, and the next best thing. I wanted to triy the Famous last word but they did not have all the ingredients. The drinks were very tasty, with excellent presentation, just a little on the light side with the alcohol, so we ended up with beers. The service was good and we really enjoyed our time here. read more

I'm pleasantly surprised this place was able to still operate under COVID. There is a group of restauraunts under the "Landing" label, and I'd seen the Williams Landing near me close down partially. Historically, this location used to be a Casey's which closed down due to lack of customers being at a prime location. Both the interior and exterior decor has changed greatly - they've opened up the inside and relocated both the bar and the kitchen area to allow for more seating. Ordered the carbonara and the sticky toffee pudding. The 3/5 stars are justified - for every pro there is a similar con. The food was above average, however the spices and flavors weren't so amazing they demand a revisit, but subsequently our server was not as attentive. We understood the place was quite busy however we were not given cutlery when first seated, so had to wait with our plates for a bit before being able to eat (didn't want to use our hands). For the size of the place and amount of tables it did seem like they socially distanced the tables which was very considerate. read more

Overly priced - waited way too long to get even a glass of water, service is not up to par considering they are in a pretty top notch area

A chain restaurant located downtown on Front St and University. This place is great for large groups. Here for Sunday Brunch. Crispy Calamari was lightly battered. Loved it but in the small size for our group of 5. Small Ceasar Salad for 6.50 was a good deal...nice portion. Enough to share for two people or as a main for my small appetite. Had the Beef Brisket MAC & CHEESE as an entree from the appetizer section. It was very rich and creamy. The Sopressata Srambler is an omelette which was pretty delicious. For dessert, the warm Sticky Toffee Pudding was yummy! The caramel sauce was on the real sweet side for me. But it was a real hit with the party!! Loved our table by the window ... bright, airy and spacious. Hostesses were very friendly. Our server not overly friendly or personable but warmed up midway. We've had pretty good experiences, but tonight was just odd. I've been here a couple of times now and they are consistent in their delivery of a quality experience. Both the service and the food quality are top-notch. I've had calamari in a lot (and I mean ALOT) of different places, and their calamari is in the top 10th percentile. It was fried and seasoned excellently. The rest of our party (there were about 15 of us the first time) seemed to also have enjoyed their dishes. The plates looked good and there wasn't much left when they were done. On my second trip, there were five of us. I had a Bloody Caesar, which was delicious and an order of nachos. The nachos were huge. You must be careful when ordering them as the toppings are basically a la carte. The server went for the upsell as expected and "yes" I wanted the guacamole and "yes" I wanted beef. I suppose that if I had not said "yes", I would have just gotten $18 worth of chips and cheese. Those "yes"s bumped my $18 nachos up to nearly $30. I can honestly say that I've never had $30 nachos before. Granted it was $30 CAD, but still... Those nachos were enough to share and they were tasty, but for the price, there were several other options that would have been a much better value. The experience was mostly good though. And I would go back, if summoned. But if I do I'll know to go Dutch with 2 others and split the nachos. read more

We came here for brunch on a weekend. The place is conveniently located on Front St. really close to Union Station. The inside is quite spacious, with many bar seats and comfy booths. Service was very friendly and upbeat, and they gave us time to enjoy our meals. We ordered the landing breakfast and Kelly's Benny. They also have bottomless mimosas on weekends, for around $8 which comes with sparkling wine with choice of fruit juices. I prefer the landing breakfast more, and the potato hash that comes with it. It looks small, but it makes a pretty satisfying breakfast! The Kelly's benny was not the best, and the peameal bacon and english muffin were a bit dry and hard to eat. I enjoyed the mimosas, but have had better elsewhere. Overall, food could be better but it's a decent option to hang out if you're in the area! read more

My boyfriend and I came here for brunch on a Sunday morning. It was located just a few blocks from our Airbnb, and we decided to check it out. It was right around 11am (brunch is served 11-3pm), so the restaurant wasn't all that busy. We took our usual seats at the bar, and perused the menu. Since I considered myself a newly initiated expert on caesars, we couldn't resist ordering their intense loaded one. It came in a HUGE mug topped with a slice of pizza, a lobster tail, jalapeño havarti, bacon, celery, carrots, and pickles. It was out of this world delicious! Our bartender was great, and she offered suggestions when we couldn't decide on what to order. I went with the appetizer of loaded nachos. Holy cow they were huge, but delicious! I barely put a dent in them. My boyfriend got the Kellys Benny, two poached eggs atop an english muffin covered in bacon and hollandaise sauce. He said it was amazing. I really liked the layout of the restaurant, and how many tables/booths they had. There is an enormous TV in the back, so I am sure watching a sports game would be perfect! Enjoyed my patio lunch here with my friend. The restaurant opens at 11:30 and I asked for a patio table and was promptly accommodated. The tables were not too close to one another, the weather was cooperative, many people were walking by making it ideal for people watching and everything was right. Our hostess and then waiter were cleanly dressed, polite and efficient, the order arrived quickly, there was quality check and the glasses were refilled and the bill came right after we asked for it. Te table and seats were also comfortable, the plants were taken care of and the flowers in the restaurant's pots were in bloom. Sitting outside has the advantage of one not being exposed to goony millionaire jocks wasting my time on a million TV screens. It is the exact opposite of 'sports' to be sitting on a stool munching on bacon burger and French fries and watching 'the game.' Importantly, the restaurant and the washroom were clean and well-maintained. As far as the food, the portions were just right. My hamburger had a good texture, but its patty was on the bland side. Overall though, it is difficult to fault it. My juice was $4 and the meal for two came to $75, which nowadays must be a bargain and especially given Kelly's Landing's location. The restaurant also offers vegetarian options. Would recommend this place, but have to deduct a point for the fine, but unspectacular burger, and the machine prompting for ridiculous tip %s. Businesses have no shame. read more

Great location within walking distance of Union Station. The restaurant is large and quite roomy as the tables aren't put closely together. The service was good. However, they failed on the food which is one of the most important components of a restaurant. I had their Landing burger with fries. Didn't even look good enough for a photo. It didn't taste better than it looks. Very lack luster in taste & could barely tell there was cheddar. I also wonder if they ran out of French fries. If you're looking for a decent restaurant/bar to socialize around the financial district, Kellys Landing is a solid choice. The bar had a good vibe with great music and fantastic service. Though I did find the music to be too loud, which made everybody talked louder and made the entire place feel uncomfortable to the ears if you stay too long. I was here for dinner during my visit and their food menu had a few interesting items, which differed from your typical bar experience. I got the curry mussels, which came with some bread for dipping and a good amount of mussels. I liked the curry sauce with the mussels and the hint of spiciness was really appetizing. Since this is a bar, they did not serve bread for the rest of the table to eat. The carbonara pasta and seared scallops that my friends ordered looked pretty good in photos and they seemed to like the flavours. The prices were fair as the foods were about $20, which is typical for a bar close to the financial district targeting the white collar workers. My biggest complaint of the night was the overall loudness within the space, but otherwise I had a good experience dining here. read more

My husband and I had our anniversary dinner to this restaurant. I never expected to experienced awful service like we had! the server was not even welcoming, she looks like rushing taking orders, that maybe the reason why she mistakenly took my order wrong. We we're looking for her to replaced my order but unfortunately I can't see her presence and I left our table to find someone to assist us. I even tried to call the seater greater/door person but again she just ignore us and just passed by. I went to the bar where the lady was cleaning the glasses and asked her if someone can help us regarding my food and she took my food for replacement. It takes awhile for them to replaced my food and the server come back to me holding my food that needs to he replaced. Then asked me why, I told her thats not the right order. And took my order again to replaced it after few minutes she comes back returning my old plate and told me that I can continue eating and she will follow my vegetables and shrimps. I understand why she return my plate, but why do they need to do back and forth my food and that takes time my steak was actually cold when i continue eating it. And I already lost my appetite. After that the server don't even apologize, no other things done to make things right. This is not even acceptable! read more

2.5 stars My friend and I came after work on a Friday night. I suppose that was our own fault. We should've known better then to go to a restaurant near Union Station at such a time. When it was our turn to speak with the hostess she asked if we would like to sit outdoors or indoors. Definitely indoors as it was not so warm outside. Her next question was if we minded sharing a table with another party. She said it'd be about 30 minutes for a table of our own and we decided to share. The configuration was a bit strange. The table was for 6 people and we were seated at the end of the table; right beside the other party. Even during dinner we heard them comment on the seating arrangement. It was rather loud in the restaurant, from all the conversations going around as well as the music being played. Not a good place to chat and get caught up with a friend. I had the carbonara and my friend had the naan chicken club. I'm under the impression that the egg for carbonara should be at least slightly runny when broken on top of the pasta. Mine was almost fully cooked. On the menu it lists that the chicken is smoked but it just seemed like regular cooked chicken. The naan chicken club looked delicious and my friend did enjoy it. There was something going on with their card machines so paying with a card took longer then usual. The server said they've been having problems with the machines and even had to get another one since the one she brought to the table wasn't working properly. Would I come again? Perhaps when it's less busy so that I'm able to hold a decent conversation and not feel crowded while eating with strangers sitting so close by. Also, carbonara at $22 isn't exactly cheap. read more
