honey garlic wings, lemon pepper wings, kale caesar salad
Suzanna G.

My partner and I walked into Score on King on Dec 11, after walking by and saw they had a wing special for $12/pound, so we decided to take a shot. We were seated pretty quickly, although the service was a little bit slow and not as attentive as expected. We placed 2 orders of wings for $12 each (honey-garlic and lemon pepper), and a kale caesar salad ($18) to share. Honestly, the food was pretty underwhelming. My honey-garlic wings were pretty standard, but the lemon pepper wings barely had any flavour. You also had to pay an extra $1.5 just for ranch/blue cheese sauce, and there were no vegetables. The normal price for the wings is 19.5 dollars, in which I would have been really disappointed with the quantity. The salad was also lacklustre, it was very lacking in the toppings (e.g. maybe 2 or 3 cherry tomatoes, a light dusting of parm) considering what we paid for it. We left the restaurant still feeling hungry, but unwilling to order more food from the restaurant due to the previous showing. The atmosphere was trendy, a busy sports bar, and seemed popular with people grabbing drinks after work or having a casual date. The music was super loud, so it was difficult to hold a conversation.

Wanted a brunch spot to watch American football while we wait for our flight.. The interior bar, food selection and reasonable pricing caught my eye. But to my surprise they had a very inviting outdoor seating situation with a $5 breakfast deal and it was a beautiful day!! Service was a little slower then I'd like BUT very nice. Plenty of food options for even the pickiest of eaters, plenty of TVs inside for the sports goer (none outside). Tator tots were the perfect crisp, eggs were fluffy. Mimosas are basically orange juice so just get Prosecco. TVs inside playing sports and music in background. And my favorite part, it cost us $40 with 20% tip! Loved this spot! Must check out t

Fried chicken lettuce wraps

Nice after-work hangout, nice appetizers Food: The appetizer we ordered, the fried chicken lettuce wraps, tasted very fresh with the crispy butter lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, crispy onions, fried chicken, and the sesame aioli with a hint of peanut that tied things together. It was a great start to our meal for sure. The Miami ribs were okay, with the ribs having a nice grilled flavour, and the egg cooked nicely, but the rice was on the dry side and the broccoli was a bit bitter. The tuna poke bowl was a little underwhelming, and was more of a salad of mixed vegetables and tuna rather than a typical poke bowl you would expect. Overall, I think what other reviewers mentioned was sound advice - I would stick to the shareables, drinks, and come for the vibes, and not for the food. Service: Our server was very friendly and welcoming, and was highly attentive. We were seated quite quickly, and the water and food came rapidly as well. We even had our plates cleared after our appetizer, and our table cleaned. The service was impeccable and fully redeemed. Atmosphere: We were seated inside as it was lightly drizzling earlier today and on the chilly side. It was on the dark and moodier side, and good for hanging out with co-workers or friends after work to share a few drinks. It was definitely on the louder side as the music tuned out conversations around us.

Perfect for Friday night/ after-work get together with collages, if you are working close by. I was curious about this place everytime I pass by during my work time. As it has a beautiful patio always full of happy-looking people. Glad I finally came here to be one of them! This place is famous for their specialty food Caesars garnished snacks (like onion rings etc). But I opted out for this, and ordered regular Caesar this time as we ordered other snack for share. Regular Caesar is not on the menu but it is available. They have a good selections of draft beer as well! White Sangria was very refreshing, and good kick of chardonnay with loaded fruits flavor. Jungle jim (cocktail) was also nicely boozy and flavorful. The egg white topping was not as creamy as I wished. Yet, it was tasty. Nacho came with a very large portion way more than enough to share with 3 of us. Salsa was a bit mushy. But the food was not what I looked for - I looked for a relaxing nice vibe space to spend time with my good colleagues to celebrate our surviving another crazy week. I think many guests around us came here for same reasons - to relax. Nice patio, efficient and friendly service, and a lot of drink options! I cannot wait for coming back with my colleagues again!

Stopped for brunch with friends, ordered Chicken & Waffles, The Lil Breakfast as well as a couple of Green Toast & Jam, pleasantly surprised with the quality of food, well prepared, tasteful and quite good. We chose to sit inside as it was quite a hot day although they have a shaded and large patio. For drinks, we had Spiked Lychee tea & mimosas. Service was great, staff friendly.

A good place to hang out and have some drinks and snacks. We stayed there for like 4 hours and had a bunch of drinks and food, no one rushed us to pay the check of leave the table and we laughed, talked and had lots of fun. Drinks felt a bit watered down but otherwise were tasty, food was subpar but still good enough for a causal night out.

Excited to eat tonight at Score on King!

I've always passed this place whenever around Union station and yesterday was the first time I tried it! It was moderately busy for a Friday night and my friends and I sat on the patio. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and gave us good recommendations for the pineapple sriracha chicken wings and the small nachos with pulled pork. The food was good, but nothing too crazy. Portions were big enough for us to be satisfied and the nachos we had were enough for 3 people to share comfortably. Towards the end of the night, we ordered the ice cream sandwich and it took over 15 minutes to get to our table. We had to ask the waitress to get our order and once we did, she brought it out right away. Overall, the place is alright for a late-night food stop in the downtown core. The patio has great ambiance and the surrounding area is nice to walk around and take photos.

Mac & Chaesar

The good: I really enjoyed the Ceasar cocktail, even better than the bloody mary - the ceasar is less salty and less spicy, and felt more refreshing. Also, the experience of getting a cocktail with food on a stick is generally fun, and the price was reasonable. The ok: the aforementioned food on said stick was... meh. Not bad, but not at all memorable. I got the Mac & Cheasar, which comes with two Mac and cheese balls and 3 onion rings. The balls were good in the sense that you could taste the actual macaroni in them and the breading wasn't overwhelming, but that and the onion rings lacked flavor outside of the strip of ketchup that comes on the balls. Note: this definitely didn't feel filling enough to be a meal on its own, so be prepared to eat again soon after. If you do plan to order another entree there, be prepared to pay, as entrees looked to start around $18-20. The annoying: right after I put in my order, I got noticed that their internet was downand they wouldn't be able to accept card payments electronically (if paying by card, they would write down your info... yeah, that's a no for me). The server was nice about me hopping to the bank across the street to try to get some money, but alas, they did accept American cash for the meal, which I luckily had. TLDR: treat the ceasar drink as an appetizer, and bring cash just in case.

I've been here a couple times for drinks and eats. I love their patio with the big wooden booths. The decor inside is really nice and hip rather than a grungy sports bar. They have great drinks, my favourite being all of the fancy caesar's you can get. You can essentially just order caesar's with crazy fixings and that can be your meal! That being said it'll be hard not to order food b/c their food is great too. I've had their breakfast sandwich and nachos. Both were large, flavourful and delicious. I'm so glad this place is near my office for after work fun!

Ain't no thang Caesar
Gurbani K.

This is a pretty popular spot at the King street! Do reserve a table before going here because I had to wait 45 minutes to get in but I was definitely worth the wait. I ordered their most in demand item the Caesar - Ain't no thang: which comes with a glass of Caesar with 4 onion rings and 4 chicken wings. This drink is perfect as it comes with snack to goes well with the drink. The chicken wings were amazing. Costed me $15 for the whole thing and it was worth the money!! The ambience of the place is also so good and inviting. The customer service is top notch. Even the water that was served was like to point, right temperature and it felt so nice. I'll definitely recommend this place to everyone!! It's going to be my hangout spot for sure.

Top to bottom- buffalo Cauliflower, wings, tuna nachos
Nadia A.

Had a good time with coworkers on a Thursday evening. Nobody ventured into the crazy ceasers they have, while I was there I only saw one person but a ceaser. I ordered the jug of white sangria which was HUGE you definitely can get a couple of rounds to share from that,... Way bigger than what you'd get at a Moxie's or earls. It tasted good too, not watered down, sweet but not syrupy ... I originally wanted the king Pimm's but they had ran out of the king Pimm's The tuna nachos were good but I advise sharing it's something you wouldn't want to rest too much of. They are served on delicious plantain chips with mango and avocado. Very different. The settings were okay the sauce was a little too tangy for me. The buffalo cauliflower was pretty good too! I didn't like the birrira tacos which were made with pork. The tortilla was delicious the meat inside was bland and the sauce it came with was thicker than what I'm used to and tasted like BBQ sauce .... Just weird

Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary's and service was top notch. Will be back on our next trip from Minnesota. Worth the stop!

I ordered the Steak & Prawns but it definitely lacked flavours. Where I know the server was not being attentive was when I had asked for medium well and it came out medium rare. The prawns were garlicky and flavourful but the steak was definitely underwhelming. We also ordered the Nachos with Chicken (chicken was extremely bland), Calamari (nothing special), Parm fries (probably best thing I had), and the Trio Dip (which was alright). Overall was a mid experience and not sure I would come back, after the way we were treated. 5.5/10 Recommend!

It is, in many respects, exactly what it intends to be: a loud, generous, unpretentious haven for those emerging from Bay Street offices or rallying before a Scotiabank Arena event. The beer programme is the undisputed centerpiece. The selection is vast and thoughtfully curated, spanning local GTA craft offerings alongside storied European imports such as Erdinger and La Trappe. Flights arrive on paddles with coasters identifying each pour -- a charming detail that rewards the curious drinker. One could spend an entire evening simply navigating the rotating taps, and many regulars do precisely that. The kitchen delivers pub fare that, while familiar in concept. Service is warm and attentive on its best evenings, with staff who clearly understand the rhythm of a busy house. However, during peak hours the pace can stretch thin, and a lapse in table attention can surface. The noise level is considerable -- an unavoidable consequence of the venue's scale and popularity. Those seeking quiet conversation will find it a challenge; those seeking energy and the communal hum of a city unwinding will feel entirely at home. For the corporate denizen of the Financial District, or the sports fan looking for a spirited pre-game gathering point, Beertown is a reliable and genuinely enjoyable destination. The beer alone is worth the visit.

I'm not sure if it was our server's break but a couple of other servers came to check on us but couldn't (wouldn't?) take our order until our actual server arrived a while later, which was maybe 20 minutes or so. Not deterred, as we were hungry and thirsty - we ordered the giant beer paddles for our table to share and also a few apps. The beer arrived warm quite a while later and also only had the breweries names on the coasters, not the actual name of the beer so we guessed on a few. The apps were not memorable and were only warmish - so was not blown away. Too bad as the location nearer to me in Oakville was much better in terms of food and service. Even though my office is steps away, I wouldn't rush back.

Ambiance - 4/5: similar to most sports bar, it's dim and loud with a lot of sports games on tv. They had a lot of reservations so the tables were split off for our small reservation. It felt a little tight. There seems to be 2 levels of seating. Service - 3.75/5: we got there early but they were nice enough to seat us early. The host sweetly pulled out my seat for me. It took us awhile to decide what to order but the server was patient with us. He checked in on us a few times. Maybe because the tables are tight, servers kept knocking into my chair seving other patrons and my seat is all the way into the table. Food - 3.5/5: I appreciate that the menu gives little historical moments that happened over the years. we ordered: Spinach dip - comes with chips and pita. Some of the chips were heavily seasoned. The pita is soft but doesnt really absorb much of the spinach dip. The dip itself is light in flavor. I prefer the chips over the pita Steak frites - we ordered medium rare and they got the cook right. The steak knife is very bendy. It should have been a AAA striploin but for some reason it felt tough and was hard to cut through. The charcoal grill marks made the exterior too burnt, giving it a bitterness to the steak. It came with an arugula salad and a very genorous portion of fries. Everything was seasoned well. The arugula salad and the chimmichuri on the steak had a tartness to it which added some brightness to the dish. I typically don't use ketchup but I needed it to help me with the fries. I could not finish the fries Sundae - there's probably only 1 scoop worth of vanilla ice cream. It comes in a cup with whipped cream and berries. Overall: 3.75/5 - If we come back, I might try other food items.
