My partner and I walked into Score on King on Dec 11, after walking by and saw they had a wing special for $12/pound, so we decided to take a shot. We were seated pretty quickly, although the service was a little bit slow and not as attentive as expected. We placed 2 orders of wings for $12 each (honey-garlic and lemon pepper), and a kale caesar salad ($18) to share. Honestly, the food was pretty underwhelming. My honey-garlic wings were pretty standard, but the lemon pepper wings barely had any flavour. You also had to pay an extra $1.5 just for ranch/blue cheese sauce, and there were no vegetables. The normal price for the wings is 19.5 dollars, in which I would have been really disappointed with the quantity. The salad was also lacklustre, it was very lacking in the toppings (e.g. maybe 2 or 3 cherry tomatoes, a light dusting of parm) considering what we paid for it. We left the restaurant still feeling hungry, but unwilling to order more food from the restaurant due to the previous showing. The atmosphere was trendy, a busy sports bar, and seemed popular with people grabbing drinks after work or having a casual date. Perfect for Friday night/ after-work get together with collages, if you are working close by. I was curious about this place everytime I pass by during my work time. As it has a beautiful patio always full of happy-looking people. Glad I finally came here to be one of them! This place is famous for their specialty food Caesars garnished snacks (like onion rings etc). But I opted out for this, and ordered regular Caesar this time as we ordered other snack for share. Regular Caesar is not on the menu but it is available. They have a good selections of draft beer as well! White Sangria was very refreshing, and good kick of chardonnay with loaded fruits flavor. Overall, I think what other reviewers mentioned was sound advice - I would stick to the shareables, drinks, and come for the vibes, and not for the food. When we came to Toronto we wanted to try butter tarts, beaver tails, and poutine. I had the poutine here. It was really delicious and now I know I can make it at home. My husband ordered the Korean short ribs, and both were delicious. We paired both with a tall glass of Alexander Keith's IPA, which we had first had in Halifax, NS, and were pleased to find it now available throughout eastern Canada. I've been here a couple times for drinks and eats. I love their patio with the big wooden booths. The decor inside is really nice and hip rather than a grungy sports bar. They have great drinks, my favourite being all of the fancy caesar's you can get. You can essentially just order caesar's with crazy fixings and that can be your meal! I've always passed this place whenever around Union station and yesterday was the first time I tried it! It was moderately busy for a Friday night and my friends and I sat on the patio. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and gave us good recommendations for the pineapple sriracha chicken wings and the small nachos with pulled pork. The food was good, but nothing too crazy. Portions were big enough for us to be satisfied and the nachos we had were enough for 3 people to share comfortably. Towards the end of the night, we ordered the ice cream sandwich and it took over 15 minutes to get to our table. We had to ask the waitress to get our order and once we did, she brought it out right away. Overall, the place is alright for a late-night food stop in the downtown core. The good: I really enjoyed the Ceasar cocktail, even better than the bloody mary - the ceasar is less salty and less spicy, and felt more refreshing. Also, the experience of getting a cocktail with food on a stick is generally fun, and the price was reasonable. The ok: the aforementioned food on said stick was... meh. Not bad, but not at all memorable. I got the Mac & Cheasar, which comes with two Mac and cheese balls and 3 onion rings. The balls were good in the sense that you could taste the actual macaroni in them and the breading wasn't overwhelming, but that and the onion rings lacked flavor outside of the strip of ketchup that comes on the balls. Note: this definitely didn't feel filling enough to be a meal on its own, so be prepared to eat again soon after. If you do plan to order another entree there, be prepared to pay, as entrees looked to start around $18-20. The annoying: right after I put in my order, I got noticed that their internet was downand they wouldn't be able to accept card payments electronically (if paying by card, they would write down your info... yeah, that's a no for me). The server was nice about me hopping to the bank across the street to try to get some money, but alas, they did accept American cash for the meal, which I luckily had. TLDR: treat the ceasar drink as an appetizer, and bring cash just in case. read more

This is a pretty popular spot at the King street! Do reserve a table before going here because I had to wait 45 minutes to get in but I was definitely worth the wait. Had a good time with coworkers on a Thursday evening. Nobody ventured into the crazy ceasers they have, while I was there I only saw one person but a ceaser. I ordered the jug of white sangria which was HUGE you definitely can get a couple of rounds to share from that,... Way bigger than what you'd get at a Moxie's or earls. It tasted good too, not watered down, sweet but not syrupy ... I originally wanted the king Pimm's but they had ran out of the king Pimm's The tuna nachos were good but I advise sharing it's something you wouldn't want to rest too much of. They are served on delicious plantain chips with mango and avocado. Very different. The settings were okay the sauce was a little too tangy for me. The buffalo cauliflower was pretty good too! here's my personal story about the score. I lived in Vancouver for a number of years and heard this was a great place to eat and watch sports. Unfortunately they did not have a lot of tables so i could never go went there. I have now moved back to Ontario and wanted to check this place in Toronto. So I dropped by for lunch and was impressed. I had the fish tacos with fries. It came out very quickly and was quite good with red cabbage, lime and i believe a chitpole sauce which was great. The waitress was polite professional and very efficient. I noticed that they also had peacock NBC service as well. We had one goal, and one goal only... catch the first Formula1 race for the season! A week ahead I called and made a reservation for 6 and confirmed they will be playing the race - Yes! They open at 11, and the race started at 11...so I was a weee bit nervous that we would miss the start. My friends got there a few mins early, and they were seated right away. When I arrived at 11:02, there was a line up of people already for brunch! I got to my seat just in time, and the space filled up in minutes! We had a few Caesars, and I tried the veggie benny - and absolutely no complaints! The Caesars were fun with all the toppings, but I only got a regular one. The drink itself is not too special and I wish it was a tad spicier. But honestly, it was perfectly decent for $7.50 (Sunday special). And the veggie benny was really lovely! The zucchini and mushrooms were a nice light balance against the rich hollandaise, which I though was perfect (taste and amount). It's a pet peeve when restaurants drown bennys in hollandaise. Oh and the hashbrowns (basically home fries) are amazing! I had to put my place away before I devoured the entire thing. My knowledge of the downtown core has dwindled over the last couple of years, with so many places closing, changing management, and hours. I think this place has some notoriety for their ornate drinks which are stacked with various food items such as chicken wings, onion rings and others. As cool as it looks, it's a bit gimmicky to me. But, that doesn't mean I hold that against them as they certainly offer more than that. First is that their large patio has been a godsend during COVID. A great patio is latently going to help boost a rating in my books. Aside from that, they have a reliable drink and food menu that has what you'd want from a bar. They're not necessarily aiming for a full gastro-pub experience, but the food quality is solid and good portions too especially for downtown. They offer specials each day too which are great value. I've always walked past here and saw their drink menu that had food ontop of their drinks which was interesting so I finally went with my boyfriend. Was honestly really pleased with majority of the things I got there and the general vibes. The drink I got was the 1oz scorn dog but to find out that usually they only have Caesars as the drink in it. I asked if there were other drinks that I would be able to substitute it with since I'm not a fan of the Caesar drink and they were really accommodating. I ended up getting a mojito (YAY!) but they advised that I don't drop food into the drink or else it'll start to look weird aha! Overall, really please with the drink as it was very refreshing as the corndog and onion rings on top reminded me of CNE because they were really crispy. For appetizer we got the cauliflower wings and they were good. I would honestly prefer these over chicken wings as it felt like a healthier alternative but didn't taste like cauliflower. I also got the crispy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was okay... this is probably why it didn't get the complete 5 star for me. I thought the chicken was really dry and wasn't able to finish it. In terms of experience; it was overall a blast as the employees were very accommodating and friendly. We ended up getting the booth outside in the summer during the pandemic and there were A LOT of bees. If you have a fear of bees I would not recommend sitting outside. It was also a bummer that they don't take reservations for 2 people as it was just me and my boyfriend. Would I go back? YES! It as overall very good and I would recommend this place to others. Had 'the caesar grande' which had a fried chicken burger at the top (the chicken was very dry), a nacho bowl which was decent, and a burger (the bottom was soggy because it was touching the caesar) as well as deep fried mac and cheese balls, pogo sticks (these were really delicious) and finally a peanut butter brownie topped with marshmallows and whipped cream (very sweet). My girlfriend and I check out The Score on King after the Christmas Market at the Distillery. This was been on our "foodie" list since it opened due to the outrageous Caesars posted on social media. The bar is very cool loud music, sports on the TVs and a giant magnet board with magnetic letters to leave funny messages on the way to the bathroom. It was a busy Friday and we got a seat at the bar due to a wait list for a table. They have deals every week and Fridays were 5 buck bar rail not bad I ordered a Vodka Soda. The bartenders were great very attentive and personable. We split the F**in Chicken and Sticks which were basically chicken tenders and fries. They came piping hot. The chicken had a KFC vibe going. Yesterday was my first time at Score on King for a get together with work friends. It gets very loud here so if you're looking to have a conversation with people, it might be difficult to hear them. We were seated at one of the long tables so I wasn't able to hear a lot of the conversation when people at the end of the other side were talking. We started off sharing the cauliflower wings in the sriracha pineapple sauce. I enjoyed them despite them being very spicy for someone who can't handle heat very well. The cauliflowers were crispy and tasted like "wings". For my main, I order the honey garlic chicken wings and a mojito. I enjoyed both and have no complaints on the food.
