    Nitro Cold Brew

This was my first visit to this Left Field Brewery location, and I enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and beer. The nitro cold brew was a nice touch, and the pizza was tasty. I also liked that you could order and pay right from your table with a QR code--super convenient!

Last Sunday a friend and I agreed to meet at Left Field Brewery's fairly new location in Liberty Village. We had both been to the location before when it was occupied by a prior Brewery and we met at 2:30 pm when the main floor was barren and the 2nd floor was fairly packed with people watching the baseball game (Toronto vs NY) on various big TV screens situated around the floor. The host very promptly offered us a booth seat which was cleaned for us equally promptly. I have previously visited the Brewery's original location on the east side of Toronto quite a few times so I was familiar with their regular selection of beers, and they featured 3 beers on their menu which were exclusive to their LV location. My friend and I decided to order 2 of the 3 exclusive beers - one amber red in colour and the other a wheat beer with a correspondingly lighter colour - and share them. We agreed that both beers were quite good. The service was quite attentive and friendly too. The venue does have both the appearance and ambiance of a sports bar geared toward younger people and they have space in front of their location for a patio once we get further into spring, then summer. We both enjoyed our 1st visit to Left Field's new location, and I/we hope to make it back before long.

Popped in here Friday night to watch the raptors game as I saw it just recently opened. I love what they did with the place - probably somewhere I'll return to watch sports. We were seated at the bar on the main level and Bev was our server - who was AWESOME! The corn dogs were super tasty and my favour drink was actually the seltzer they had on tap. We ended up moving upstairs as the main bar closed a bit earlier and it was live upstairs. I also loved how inclusive the washrooms were.

Came here for trivia night on Wednesday night - trivia takes place upstairs. They have a really large indoor seating area (2 floors) as well as an outdoor patio. My favourite thing about this place is that you order and pay on your phone! We got the beer flight which was really good - lots of variety. The pulled pork poutine was nothing special. The food and drink comes pretty fast. A really good location in liberty village as well

One of the staff recommended eats is the cheeseburger and duck wings. The smash burger and fries is very addicting. Maybe one of the best smash burgers I've had in a while. The duck wings are a generous portion size and a tasty sticky kind of goodness. We originally wanted brussel sprouts but it sold out so opted for the beet salad which is pretty good too. All in all, I'm surprised the food is so good! I may have enjoyed it more than the flight of beers we ordered. I told the staff to choose a selection for us. The CPA is one I prefered most among the ones I tried, with a bit more floral or complex notes than the rest. This family-run brewery and restaurant was converted from a small church and has been opened for a couple of years. Find your own seat, order and pay in the front and food would be sent to your table. The tip range suggested the same as a full service restaurant. There are six communal tables and also enclosed sheds outside for additional seating.

For a retirement gift, my boss had bought $50 gift certificates to six micro breweries in Guelph, which has been great. We've had dinner at some, but at others, I have just bought cans of beer to go (usually I put in a bit more cash and get 18 cans). This place must not have had a proper gift certificate, because I just had a "pint card" (4 beers value - $34) and the balance was rung up as 2 X 473mL lagers, for about $50. I explained to the server that I was sure this was meant to represent a $50 gift card and she said it was just a pint card and my boss must have drank the two tall boys there (while touring around Guelph to get gift cards at 2pm). Anyway, I finally took the 4 cans, which were $34 plus tax, although for $30, you could get 6 cans. I'm probably going on too long about this, but I feel like I was ripped off and this is my only way to deal with it, emotionally. Anyway, I will never go back there again, and please, never buy a gift certificate from this establishment.

We went on a weekday evening, so it was pretty quiet. The wooden tables and seating added a more laid-back vibe. The Chicken Karaage was good - big chunks of chicken and crispy. Got it, I lowered my expectations and found both drinkable but diluted the margarita to combat its excessive sugariness. If anything, their menu was the perfect hearty base before a night of drinking. Having shared two of their sandwiches, the smashed burger ($21) was a hit. The potato bun was topped with two generous sized beef patties that are a little thick for a smashed burger but still had a nice crust. I liked that there was plenty of fixings including lettuce, tomato, cheese, caramelized onion, pickles, and a house sauce to give it interest. This was a tasty burger. Meanwhile, the potato bun disintegrated with the Korean fried chicken sando ($21) making it difficult to eat. Still, the chicken breast was hot and juicy with plenty of breading to give it a crunchy bite. But despite the liberal smear of gochujang mayo, it wasn't overly spicy and needed more heat. Adding some lettuce with the pickles may also help create a barrier between the bun and sauce to ensure the bread can hold up better. Maybe Rorschach's supplier gave them a bushel of the tiny potatoes, but their fries were cut so small... it's like eating Hickory sticks in fry form. You'd think a smaller fry means more crispy edges, but we just found they were really dried out. Rorschach Brewing Co's dining room is surprisingly spacious with picnic tables scattered throughout to accommodate varying sized tables. They were understaffed for a Friday, but the two servers did their best and made sure our large table was served and out in time for the concert. Perhaps they even breathed a sigh of relief once we vacated. So long loud ladies, we can go back to swigging beers.

The bartender was the only person on the floor and she was very friendly. Her service was great and we enjoyed the pop punk collection she had playing the whole time we were dining in. We ordered some drinks and for food we shared a chicken club on sourdough and a Reuben. The food did take quite a long time to come out even though we were the only ones who ordered food at the time. The chicken itself was ok, a bit bland but had some good toppings and was well toasted. We had fries with this sandwich and it was very well fried and it came in a huge portion. The Reuben was ok, instead of the tangier russian dressing I'm used to this one was more straight mayo based so the flavors weren't what I was expecting. The marbled rye could have been buttered a little more when toasted as well. The amount of meat that it came with though was great and quite hefty. Both sandwiches also came with coleslaw and a pickle spear. The slaw was vinegar based and cut through the heaviness of the meat. I wish the pickle was more crispy though. All in all, a relaxed spot for lunch with good drink but ok food.

It was quiet and enjoyable. We ordered all 8 beers off the menu for the flight and some chips and guacamole which came out pretty quickly. I thought I would have really enjoyed the peach radler and the cream ale, neither were as sweet as I thought they would be and not what I would consider a peach radler or a cream ale. I did really enjoy their premium lager and their red ale. I definitely enjoyed here more than the brewery itself, mainly cause the service was much better and the staff was friendly.
