We had a terrible experience. We were seated inside we ordered drinks, and food. We had a few drinks. The food came late. They asked us to pay first and then go outside and sit outside with the food after paying. After paying we carried out plates ourselves to the pario outside to find a table and chair to sit. However outside they told us they had a event going on and we were not allowed to sit. We needed to have a wristband. They made us stand and be stranded with food. They didn't even give us a table. The folks inside would not be able to accommodate all of us because they said the table that we were on was reserved which was not told to us prior to us ordering. This was a terrible day its a nightmare to me and my friends. read more

In town for a competition and found Stonehooker in maps looking for a place to have lunch. The interior is small and we had a group of 9. The server set us up quickly. A couple of us tried the Humble and Fred's All Canadian, which was a well balanced and refreshing blonde ale. Our party ordered a variety of menu items starting with the jumbo pretzel. The chicken cutlet club was nicely sized on a flavorful roll, and the cutlet was nicely flavored. The Sweeter Heat pizza beat expectations. The variety of toppings complemented each other perfectly. The kids liked the burger, penne and spaghetti. The kitchen took a little bit to prepare, but everything came out at the same time and at good temperature. Compliments to all of the staff. The front lawn has a bunch of picnic tables which will be nice in the better weather. read more

Stopped by for an evening beer on the patio. There was excellent live music. Staff were all great! I had the Victoria English Pale Ale, and loved it. Hubs had the Broad Reach, and also enjoyed his. Lots of nautical references due to one owner being an avid sailer from what we gathered. (Is it just a coincidence the next door neighbour is a sail maker?) Didn't try any food so no comment there. Two stars: one for the beer and one for the live music. Knocked off three stars because: 1. The seating staff was rude. There were lots of empty tables and we asked to be seated at a specific table and she seated us elsewhere. We asked our waitress if we could sit at the table of our choice and she immediately obliged. The seating staff lady came back and asked if we asked our waitress like we were kids or something and that we're not breaking the rules. Please train your staff to not treat guests this way! 2. Painfully slow service: it took time to get our beers. When we finished our beers, our food arrived. It took more than 45 min to get our semi cooked veggie burger. Have a proper kitchen and not one chef cooking when you know there are lots of people coming to eat here as well. 3. We were billed incorrectly. I opted for email receipt but that didn't arrive in time. Since I was suspicious that I overpaid, I asked for a paper receipt. The waiter printed out a paper receipt which was also wrong one. He and I were both jaded and he eventually gave me back $2 that I overpaid. When I came back home and did the math, I realized the bill was still off by $4. So, I could've got myself another another 4oz beer with that. Overall, I'm disappointed and unhappy. read more

I read over some of the reviews before I started writing this one. It seems that the reviews were very positive a few years ago but got progressively worse. This seems to reflect our experiences. We used to really enjoy the drinks, food and especially the music, We had an awful experience today. We went this afternoon, sat for about 20 minutes and no wait staff showed up. We looked around and saw that there were no servers to be found so my husband went into the retail area to buy drinks. This took another 20 minutes as there were many people lined up to purchase their own drinks with only one person serving. There is an outdoor express bar but it was closed. The food area was similarly crowded. Because there were no servers, individual customers had to go to the cooking area to put in an order then line up again at a different spot to pay. We chose not to line up and left after we finished our drinks. Luckily the band was great so today wasn't a total bust. I am sincerely hoping that this was a one-off and not a new method of doing business as it was a wonderful, unique spot in Mississauga with great music, drinks and camaraderie. read more

The "lower deck" restaurant seating area is an awesome addition! Well done!! The huge variety of beer is always excellent - for every taste imaginable. Service from the bartender was prompt, accurate, and very knowledgeable of all the beers offered. Ask about the beers before you order! read more

The brewery is established now and has a bar where the brewery can be observed from a well laid out area reminiscent of a ship. There is a large retail area that is well appointed. The range of beers is broad and exciting with types and flavours for all tastes. A patio / lawn area is at the front. read more

Good on these guys for being one of the only microbreweries in Peel. I had tried them at a Yelp event quite some time ago and really enjoyed it, but later forgot about them. Then, this past summer, Chef Cal - a chef I follow on IG - announced he'd be working there over the summer. Beer and BBQ outdoors is always a recipe for success, but with the summer of COVID it was an 'essential' experience. I came several times and the food was always great. It's a pretty simple set up as it's literally all done with a single BBQ (and prep), but Chef Cal always finds ways to do unique takes on each item. It's available late Spring to early Fall and you'd have to check their IG to know the menu of the day. They often have live music too. Note that there's no indoor dining at all, it's not just a covid thing. It's literally a brewery in a small industrial space with several picnic tables in front. But back to the beer. Man, it really exceeded my expectations. As good as the beer had been at the event I'd been to, there's nothing life a fresh draught pour - especially at a brewery where quality control is key. They have quite a variety at all times - about 15-20 beers right from your typical lagers up to some pretty unique items. They also do seasonal. The standout for me has been the spicy raspberry saison. I had it at each visit here this past summer and all remember it as my taste of the year. But to illustrate just how contemporary they are with seasonal beers, a current one is "Frontline Heros" which is a coffee oatmeal breakfast stout. Also, all staff a super-friendly here. Check out their website for where you can find their beers as they're sold in quite a few LCBO's - even into neighbouring TO and on tap at a few pubs as well. Definitely going to be a mainstay for me, especially in fair-weather months. read more

Friendly staff, small bar in front. Walk through the small brewery to get into the venue are for live music, karaoke, sports on tv and good food. Plenty of seating. Also has a large patio area out front for warmer days/nights. Good beer selection. They also have a small beer store next to the bar. read more

Been here since it opened, at first the bbq was great, food and service, then it went to frozen pizza. Now they have a menu, so you have stand in line to order food or worse wait in line to order a beer, very confusing. No table service yet they have the tip option ? If I have to get up and get my beer and food, sorry no need to tip. We came for the Oktoberfest, ordered the Schnitzel, a chicken cutlet with a scoop of potato salad for 21 bucks, they also have a cutlet in a sandwich for 15 bucks, come on guys. Beers good, bands can be good but food, forget it. So many craft breweries have this figured out, after being open this long I can't be bothered. read more

We drove past on Lakeshore drive. The place looked intriguing with the picnic tables and patio lights, so we decided to stop in. Glad we did! Cam was the host and he was very courteous and attentive. The Lobster PoBoy sandwich was really good and reasonably priced. The beers were also good. We enjoyed and would like to come back time permitting as we are only here for 3 more days. We were there earlier this month Sat evening. The so called Team Leader is horrible!!! The attitude was crap!!!! Took and placed our order wrong. We cancel one of our order and SHE said it's cancelled but she didn't. She got mad when she noticed the receipt did not include the TIP! Well the tip was CASH!!!! This so called Tram Leader had poor customer service!!!! I'm sorry for the other team members I can't give more than 2 dots or stars!!!! Your Team Leader dragged you all down!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mississauga's second brewery, woohoo! Hopefully, it's just the beginning of the trend. Located in the same strip as Wine Butler - you've been here IF you're into wine and a bargain hunter - in Lakeview, this place just opened up! Taproom resembles the inside of a ship and is on the smaller side, maybe about 20 seats. In comparison, the rest of the facility seems pretty large and it includes an office area, fridges where cans are sold. There's no official "flight" system, you just select the size/number of beers you want. Out of the 2 I ordered, I really liked Broad Reach even though it's an IPA. It's not overpowering and there are fruitier notes in it! Prices for pours DO NOT include tax...which isn't the norm with other breweries that I've been to. Good stop to add if you're down by the Lakefront Promenade/Dairy Cream area! read more

Until today's visit I used to rave about this spot. Great selection of craft beer, nice outdoor ambiance and good music (but not always). A place we could bring our dog who was provided with a bowl of water. Today, might be our last time there. When we arrived there was a host at the main entrance who quickly disappeared inside. After 5 minutes, no one at the entrance so we grabbed a table. After another 10 minutes, still no staff/servers in the main area. So got up and went into retail store. 10-12 people were lined up ordering their drinks. Took me another 20 minutes to get served (outdoor "express" bar was closed). To order food, you had to order at the grill then line up again to pay the host at the entrance who finally showed up. We only saw 2 Stonehookers staff members the hour and a half we spent there (really felt sorry for them). I don't know what model Stonehookers is using for customer service, but not for us. I used to have a lot of respect for Stonehookers, I've always admired how they assisted at various outdoor music and art festivals. read more

Dissatisfied and disappointed! Yes, this is a brewery and they have a nice selection of beers. Everything else is at very least - questionable. Here, you take your chances when it comes to any food order. My boyfriend and I stopped by hoping to have a little bite and some beers. He has ordered a mild Italian sausage on the bun which was listed to be served with a sauerkraut. The sausage came undercooked in a cold bun with a tiny piece of dill pickled baby cornishon. No condiments nor any sauce was available upon request. Sauerkraut was completely missing and we did not hear even an apology. It appeared that regardless what is listed in menu, you get what they have on hand or they feel like serving. Taste = 0 points Myself, I have ordered a cheeseburger. In the menu nothing has mentioned it was not going to be a beef patty. So, I have expected to get a beef burger. Instead, I got a thin soya patty, both sides burnt out, in a cold bun, so cold that a slice of cheese was hardly warmed up inside instead of melting off. Taste = 0 points Beer on draft: cold, refreshing but in my glas there was a piece of something on the bottom. Not swimming but sunken. When I noticed it, I stopped drinking. By the time we came back home (about 1hr after the meal) we both got a diarrhea. In this place, all you order to eat or drink - you take your own responsibility. We paid the bill and verbally addressed all of this to the waiter. Management should take comments like this in a serious consideration. Nevertheless, before we placed any order, my boyfriend went to the bench where they grill your orders and asked to see what size of the ribs or lamb skewers gets in portion of potential order. He got an aptitude answer from the main cook and luckily we did not order any of these. Sadly, instead of enjoying a few hours on the patio having some food and beers, we left quickly with a big disappointment. We will not be coming back to this place. read more

Good beer and great live music. The awarded beers are standout. The space is nice; it rained so we listened to the live set in the warehouse. The food is standard fare. The burrito could really benefit from some sour cream and veggies to break up the meat and rice. The hot sauce is REALLY hot. I would definitely come back here again. read more

I actually came here because I tried one of their beers at a Yelp event. It was a Sour Beer and very good. Come to find out that they're literally mere minutes from my house so on the way from work I came in. Grabbed a 4 pack of their Gose Sour and man is it good. Love the sour taste and crisp freshness. Now I am a regular customer! Made the mistake and had one to many one day and woke up with a really tart taste in my mouth the next morning so I suggest limiting yourself, to say 6! They have a nice small bar and in the summer you can chill outside on their patio, super cool. One of my favorite brands of craft beer. I just checked their website and they have as sour, CHERRY!, beer now so can't wait to try that as well. I'm hooked on Stonebooker! read more

Amazing. Go in and have them prepare a flight of their beer. Take them outside and enjoy. Go on a Saturday and if you're lucky, the folks from Skewers will have an old school charcoal BBQ set up and you can get a burger or skewer to complete the experience. Showed up on Saturday and stayed for hours chatting, enjoying the sun, beer, food and overall experience. Supporting the locals because they're incredible. read more

Great outdoor patio with live music. Me and my husband tried the plank and thought the beer was great compared to other breweries we've tried, broad reach was our favourite ! The staff was very friendly and very attentive, we got seated promptly. We noticed how positive the atmosphere was instantly. Our server Ruby took very good care of us and had very extensive knowledge of the beer and even explained why it was called Stonehooker! Would 10/10 recommend!!! read more

This place is my favourite for the beer drive through. I have tried all the different kinds of beers and they're all very flavourful and delicious. My only complaint is that the beer drive-through person told me that I should come in and get the beer myself once unless I wanted to wait for a really long time because she was too busy to come out back. read more
