It beats every beer store in NJ for 1 reason... selection. These guys somehow consistently get the rarest beers year after year. I'm talking Founders KBS, Firestone Walker Velvet Merkin, Goose Island Bourbon County Coffee Stout, etc. They have been into the craft beer scene since the beginning of craft beer and thus have special relationships with the distributors. As for the store, it's small, super tight, super packed, and not for the claustrophobic. There are aisles upon aisles of beer, refrigerated beers line the back wall, the side wall has cases of beer stacked on top of each other, in the back there are a selection of rotating taps of draught beer to fill your growlers. The guys are really knowledgeable and friendly. Tell them what style you like and they'll give you suggestions. When super rare beers come in, to be fair and give everyone a chance, they hold lotteries, with the winners getting the right to buy a bottle of the particular beer. So if you live in northern jersey, it's definitely worth the hike to hit up this store. You won't be disappointed.

Be the first to review my favorite local beer store on here? Don't mind if I do!…read more When I first heard that my beloved Beer Shoppe (https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-beer-shoppe-ardmore) was closing towards the end of 2020, it was another horrible thing to chalk up to that terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year! But unlike other things from that time period, this one didn't end up being as much of a big loss, because I learned that a new beer distributor would be opening up just few doors down, and when it did I learned that it maintained a lot of the same awesome staff and quite possibly an even better beer selection. As a distributor, it doesn't have amenities like the food and whiskey bar that the Beer Shoppe had. But it does give you the ability to grab beer to go by the case, twelve-pack, six-pack, four-pack, and even as singles. You can even fill your growler with their selection of drafts, or take home an alcoholic slushie. LMB isn't the biggest distributor I've been to by any stretch, but they make do with their space to bring in enough things to keep any level of beer nerd satisfied. You can take home a case of Corona or the lite stuff for your casual beer drinking uncle, load up on local brewers like New Trail and Twisted Gingers, imported brewers like Unibroue and all those Belgians, plenty of seasonal brews with it currently be the dark wintery season, and a lot of harder to find beers.

I have to preface it that we have been loyal customers here since the store opened and it has been our go to wine store but we where shocked at the lack of customer service/unprofessionalism. I purchased a can of white wine which I have done many times in the past over the years (the same one). Upon opening at home I could immediately tell it was bad. Gold color, strong smell, sour and metallic taste. I only took 1 sip but it was obviously undrinkable. Not a huge deal although it was inconvenient to have to go back out to the store. Of course we thought they would just replace it as any place would do if they sell you something thats spoiled or expired. We politely went to let them know so they could be aware of the product they are selling and asked to swap if for something of the same price but they flat out refused. The guy who claimed to be the manager was rude and verbally combative. They tried to tell us we are just unfamiliar with this wine because we haven't bought it before (which we have) and essentially said "too bad, we are not going to do anything about it". They shouldn't be selling bad wine, but what was more upsetting is that we are regular customers there and they couldn't extend the courtesy to replace the product out of basic decency. Instead giving a huge attitude and negating everything we were saying. They don't care about the quality of their products or about their customers. We left with nothing and tossed the gross wine. They lost our business.

Great beer selection (I've chatted with people about the familiar phenomenon of just staring at so many different choices with mouth agape), a focus on local, easy online ordering for delivery or pickup, and the best team in the biz. Did you know they sell boozy freezy slushies here year round? HOT TIP. Did you know you can also grab all your surfsides/canned cocktails here? Hot tip. When I was about to end the call and say I'll order elsewhere, I was told "wait, we can make it work". Well they didn't. And had the entire party waiting for them to deliver. Again, can't deliver prior to noon? Not an issue, I can order from 10 other places. But when you tell me you can meet that time, don't lie to me and ruin the rest of the party. Nothing against this store personally, I just know they CANNOT DELIVER.
