Went towards the end of brunch so we had to order from their regular menu which was fine. Good service. Wasn't packed. Good music. The food and drinks were overall good. The food was absolutely tasty and I would return just for that. Drinks were decent. Big space. Brunch is for all ages. Parking isn't the easiest but we found street parking not too far away.

Came here on a Friday evening and to my surprise it was fairly empty. This was my second time there. I came when they first open years ago. I was lucky enough to find parking up the street after being informed that my car would be towed if parked across the street at at the bank. We were seated in the side dining area with only about 2 other people there. I ordered the fajita, steak medium. When it came out, it felt more medium well and the steak had a grayish color to it. the white rice that accompanied the fajita was good. We asked for hot sauce and they provided it, but what we didnt know, it would cost us extra. Our drinks were good and the ambiance was the best part of the restaurant.

Amazing vibe! The food was outstanding and nice portions! Service was top notch! I highly recommend Little Tijuana to all my yelpers!

Beautifully decorated spot with good food but impersonal service. My wife and I visited Little Tijuana for an early dinner in May 2025. The moment we walked in, we were struck by the restaurant's beautiful, artistic decor, which instantly set the tone for a pleasant dining experience. The overall experience was mixed though. Most of the food ordered was excellent with a couple of exceptions. The drinks were flavorful, but noticeably diluted. Service was efficient but impersonal. Everything arrived correctly and politely, yet we never felt truly cared for - no one stopped by to ask if we liked the food or drinks, no smile, no friendly chat. We can recommend Little Tijuana for its ambiance, décor, and solid food -- just don't expect much beyond what's served at your table. Food ordered Guacamole Trio - three types of guacamole to try and all three were absolutely tasteless :( Mexican Fajita - excellent. Flavorful and sizzling. Lamb Barbacoa (lamb shank) - excellent. Melting in the mouth.

We had a wonderful date night here. Vibes are fun, service is friendly if a little slow. Salad in a taco bowl was the best thing we ordered. Wish they made their own chips. We'll probably come back for drinks and to check out the nightclub.

Thursday night is music on the The Rooftop and Happy Hour from 4PM-7PM! The food was really good and so was the service. Get the Elote (grilled corn) and shrimp tostadas; you'll love them!!!

This place was top notch. I don't give 5 easily, but Little Tijuana was just that. The atmosphere was out a movie. Cool lounge/restaurant place with indoor and outdoor seating/hookahs/bars/dance floors, etc. a great place to go out to celebrate with friends or just a good night out. And it's open til 3am for those who want a really late night... or should I say early.

    Unique restroom decor.

Excellent venue with multiple purpose rooms nestled in the Lincoln Park area of Newark downtown. Despite torrential rain, Little Tijuana provided a refuge with decor that highlighted Spanish culture. Security located at the entrance was polite and efficient to make sure no outside drinks were brought in while providing a safe environment. Tables were located on both sides of the main entrance providing a large walkway to the rear event space. Additional tables were available with seating in rear near DJ stage. A side room en route led to restrooms, a bar and another large lounge area that later hosted a second party skewed to younger crowd with own DJ. The main area was hosting an event with celebrity DJ Natasha Diggs featuring Actor/DJ Deon Cole and a few others. The energy was great and service was consistent with great food and drink selections. Dancing extended past the designated dance floor to the restaurant area which had a bar near the DJ area. The food was good overall; event was the main draw, but would return for ambience. 4 stars given due to restrictions on getting tables & inefficient laptop menu ordering that added a few challenges. Worth a return visit when in town again.

Came here for HH with my sister, due to this place being close to the airport to catch my flight afterwards. I gave it three stars over all due to; 1 the parking. For starters the parking is in an awkward spot, and there is no signs directing you to where it is which is behind the restaurant on a side street with the restaurant being on the main street. I drove around 4-5 times trying to figure it out, luckily my sister saw me and told me where it was. 2. The service was meh, our server seemed to be in a rush and overwhelmed. It was just her taking tablets in the bar area. 3. The food was ok and so were the drinks nothing special. The food was lukewarm warm and one of my drinks was made wrong. I didn't send it back nor did I make the server aware of my issues due to me being pressed for time. For food we ordered the Elote Corn Ribs 10/10, Birria Nachos 5/10, last but not least the Street Fries 10/10. These were my favorite and were really good, I highly recommend getting these. My sister insists I give this place another chance especially on the weekends. Were I can see how it's fully operated. I believe in second chances so I will next time I'm in town.

Overpriced bland food, super weak $20 drinks and $14 for a shot! Decor is lovely and service was pleasant on a quiet Sunday evening. Parking is a nightmare in that area. I would not go out of my way to go back there.

I went here for brunch so I can only comment on the brunch menu. I went with the avocado toast with a sunny side up egg on top and a side salad. My date went with a classic BLT sandwich with a side of fries. The aesthetics of the restaurant is cute and quaint, especially with the flowers hanging from the ceiling. It was a quiet Saturday and we were the only customers at the time. The service was good.

Diamond in the rough for sure Fabulous decor Happy hour 4-7 Good drinks Affordable prices Pretty good hookah Friendly service Has a roof top and it's a very spacious bar/restaurant The birria nachos are very good The guacamole was very tasty The street fries were a flop The food needs more work it sorted of tasted luke warm Needs be hotter and they should have more options the menu is a little limited We ordered the Al pastor tacos and the meat didn't look appealing But overall great time.

I've been here with my friends when it's a bar/club at night, but this was my first time trying the bottomless brunch. It was a fun environment, especially since I went with a big group of friends. I ordered the Tijuana steak and eggs, which were just okay. The portion of steak was very small, and the chilaquiles were kinda soggy. But I didn't expect much from the food in the first place, so I was satisfied with what I got. The server was also good about refilling mimosas. Overall, it's a nice brunch vibe, but the food is very average.

Most recently was last night and that was my last straw. The music was incredibly and unnecessarily loud which they knew because they told us they'd turn it down before we got the chance to ask. Next, there was one waitress on the floor, clearly overwhelmed. Told us she would be back with water but came back almost 20 mins later. We ordered our wine when she came back because who knows how long it would take to receive it. Another 20 mins, maybe more. We watched her seat several groups and I literally had to scream across the room to get her attention and to remind her of the bottle we ordered, which she had the nerve to appear annoyed about. We asked her if we could move from our tables to a nearby couch which she said yes. Before we had a the chance to finish the bottle the GM comes over and tells us to move our seats and that he would take care of us (NEVER DID NOR DID HE CHECK IN). This is the same GM who asked me to give the place another try after the last issues we encountered where they screwed up our checks due their own carelessness. I should've raised more of an issue and questioned him more. But nevertheless we move to these two musty smelling seats. At that point we left and decided that would be the absolute last time. Go at your own risk!

The restaurant is a beautiful corner spot with wonderful lighting and a warm, inviting ambiance. Since it was our first time trying Georgian cuisine, we decided to share a variety of appetizers. If you're a party of six skinny people, you'll do just fine in the chairs. If you're fat Americans like us, it's going to be a tight squeeze. They do a really smart thing. The window seats are pushed a bit away from the windows, so that when the waiter comes to take your order, they don't block the middle aisle where people are trying to walk or carry stuff to tables. Brilliant idea, and one which I wish more would do. The chairs are those mid century modern rattan backed chrome bottomed office chair looking guys. They're comfortable enough, even for us fats, but the rattan was starting to wear out. Hopefully, they'll see to getting them serviced, because it makes the place look a bit ragged. The tables were a lovely size, with plenty of space for our drinks, our food, and the beautiful bespoke charger plates they had on the table with Sihana branding on it. They kept the TVs and other built in furniture from the old Kinjo that used to be here. When we went, the stuff on the TVs was pretty generic. This is fine. Not a lot of places know what to do with those TVs. Back when the location used to be KInjo, they played either K-dramas, Anime, or other such themed shows on there with subtitles, so that it keeps the place on theme. This is NOT an allergy friendly place. If you're vegan, you're going to get either the cocktails, or a dry salad. Also, there's cocktails that have honey, so watch out for that as well. The falafel sandwich, which should be vegan anywhere else you get it, has egg in it. Not ON it, but IN it. The fries are all cooked in shared oil. How shared is the oil? One of our table mates got a mild allergic reaction (she has a shellfish allergy), and had to grab a Benadryl when she got home. It wasn't bad enough for her eyes to close up and have to go to the hospital, but her face was getting flushed, and she started getting really itchy. I'm sure the food was fine. I've been with this group dining out several times. If they're seriously enjoying themselves, they'll usually be raving about what's on their plate, and let the waiter know how good it all was. That didn't happen here. Everyone LOVED the appetisers. That cheesy bread situation was a huge hit. The cocktails are strong, and beautifully made. Well balanced with the right blend of sweetness, tartness, and slight burn of alcohol. Absolutely no complaints there. When the bill came, there's a credit card processing fee. I'd say the place is good. Here's why they're getting full marks: The waiter let us know IMMEDIATELY that there will be nothing for me to eat. He didn't have to go to the kitchen to ask what was safe. He knew immediately that there's nothing at all on the menu that's safe for me. That level of knowledge tells me that you've got a waiter who takes pride in knowing his job, and does it to the best of his ability. You've got an absolute gem of a wait staff in general. I wasn't bothered, because I live very close by and can eat at home. Just know that I'll never set foot in there again. I'm not sure that anyone else would be too eager to go back either. I've been to steak houses that had more option.
