The ambience at Charley in Harrison was definitely a vibe -- from the creative wall art to the plush leather seating, everything felt thoughtfully designed and stylish. I ordered the lobster roll and French fries, both of which were absolutely delicious. I also tried the bottomless rosé, which was light, refreshing, and hit the spot. That said, you definitely get more bang for your buck with the bottomless mimosa option -- they bring you a full carafe, whereas with the rosé, you have to wait for them to bring each glass from the frozen smoothie-style machine. Overall, I'd absolutely come back again, especially for happy hour or a chill brunch. The outdoor dining area also looked great -- perfect for a sunny afternoon with friends.

Came here for some food to go and was pleasantly surprised how cute this spot was. There was a bar area that wasnt too big, but still intimate enough. I ordered truffle mac & cheese. burger, pizza and some wings and fries. All the food was pretty good. I saw they had a girls dinner special for a really good price so I will be back to try that. The service was fast and friendly. There is street metered parking...Its Harrison, by the train station, so be aware of traffic and parking rules

Loved the decor and service was great. We were a last minute big group for brunch and Charley did not disappoint. Shout out to our server for being patient with us! Food was great & bottomless mimosas 10/10. Music could be better but overall I definitely want to go back!

The vibes at this restaurant are great. You should definitely come during Wednesday nights when the restaurant hosts a karaoke event! The Branzino is very fresh and tasty. Everyone is very friendly here and the bar is a great opportunity to meet residents from the local apartment complex.

This place is so amazing. Stopped in for happy hour and the items did not disappoint. I got a drink and an appetizer for $20. Perfect! Not only is the restaurant clean, the staff is friendly and so willing to cater to you... bring your friends!

Review for HH: - amazing drinks, 10/10, espresso martinis and lychee martinis were top tier - friendly staff, bartender was great and super accommodating when my friend acted annoying af. Shout out to him. - the HH food menu is superrrrr slim, only a few choices, $6 for one slider is crazy work but it was good although nothing extraordinary. They need more HH food choices. - their onion rings were bomb, I love onion rings and seeing them on a menu feels real retro and rare, loved them - wings were aight, nothing to write home about and won't order them again - regular prices are pretty steep. $17 for a cocktail. $30+ for a dish. - bar is cute but very small I kinda wanted to gate keep this HH but I won't. Top tier cocktails are 1/2 off during HH and worth every dollar.

Discover Charley Bistro just across the Hudson--warm wood accents, and curated art on the walls. The service is genuinely heartfelt, and while the dishes are straightforward, the ambiance makes every visit memorable. Perfect for date nights or weekend treats!

Charley burger and fries

Came with a local on her recommendation. The interior of the restaurant is super cool and hip -- even the bathrooms! We ordered bottomless brunch bevs and I ordered the Charley Burger with fries. The burger was great, and the fries were good enough. The main issue we had was with service -- our server checked in with us only twice during our 90 minute stay. After a while, our server checked in with us again, which is when we tried to order another round of drinks, but were declined since we had been since it was past the 90 minute mark. I feel like we definitely lost some value by purchasing the bottomless option.

We randomly came here because our original destination told us it will be 1 hr and 30 minutes wait. YEA RIGHT !! On the walk in, the restaurant was cute with lil posters on the wall. The music that they were playing was really chill, first time I been to a restaurant and heard 3 Sade song so that definitely was a plus. The brunch menu didn't have a lot of options. They didn't even have chicken and waffles ! The safest brunch item. But the food, we order made sense. The chicken sandwich was good. I added cheese to it, but their french fries was BANGING!! One of the best restaurant french fries. I have taste in a long time. I really enjoy their avocado toast because they was not cheap with the avocado. Usually restaurants give you half an avocado that smashed up, but here it was about one and a half slices avocado, topped with poached eggs. The only downside was their French toast. It was three small pieces. The reason I said it a down side is because my girl had to order another one because it was so good really tasty but wasn't filling.

Eggs Benedict

Loved the eggs Benedict! With salmon. Absolutely delicious !!! The pretzel bun burger was also fantastic. What a cute place to eat outside. Cool stone fireplace outside. Comfortable seating. Options with umbrellas on hot days. Super clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. Just give this place a try- wonderful wonderful dining experience

Everything we ordered was delicious! Also, the ambiance and music were great. The servers were all super nice as well. We will definitely be back!

Great spot in Harrison! Super cute atmosphere, great menu selection and great happy hour deal. Daniel was very attentive and service was quick. Highly recommend. Also close to the airport if you need a good spot to meet friends or family who may be traveling into town. Also close to prudential center for a good dinner before any event.

Girls' night rule #1: pick a place with a vibe. Girls' night…read morerule #2: the food better back it up. Burke's Tavern understood the assignment. None of us had been before, so we walked in blind, except not really, because the second we stepped inside the vibe hit us. Dimmed lights (but not "can't read the menu" dim), candles glowing, plants everywhere, music just loud enough to feel cool but not loud enough to ruin the gossip. Cozy. Chill. Cute. The holy trinity. It wasn't packed, so we had seating options and landed at a round table in the middle: elite positioning, honestly. Door and front windows on one side, bar view on the other. Prime people-watching real estate. Now let's discuss the important part: the food. We ordered strategically (read: everything we wanted). Lamb meatballs - 10/10. Holy crap. I don't know who is back there doing what, but please continue. Burrata pizza - absolutely delicious. Gone in record time. Gochu-Crispy-Chikin - no notes. Million Dollar Chicken - appropriately named. Fish 'N' Chips - zero complaints across the table. And that's the thing: not a single person in the group had an issue. No side-eye. No "it's good, but..." Just clean plates and happy energy. Now. Parking? Disrespectful. It's on a corner (love that), but finding parking took effort (do not love that). Would I let that stop me? Absolutely not. Parking be damned. I will circle. I will walk. I will manifest a spot. Because this place is such a vibe that it's already secured a return visit -- brunch is calling, and I need to see what this place feels like when the weather warms up. Girls' night/date night/ANY night approved.

We decided to order a bunch of small plates and share between us. After sampling the various items, we felt a bit disappointed. The food was quite average ... and frankly a little pricey.

We found parking about a block and a half away. The vibe inside is really cool. Very clean and very upbeat. I loved it. The acoustics for the band was great. Just a real chill environment. Service was very friendly but also seemed very confused. We ordered wings and got the wrong flavor. And then when we got our check at the end of the night, shots from the table next to us was on our bill. Thank God I was drinking soda most of the night or we may not have caught that. We started with the wings and honestly, they were below average at best. No crisp to them and some parts were just oddly chewy. I saw the table next to us had this wedge salad and I was then really craving it. We opted not to get anything else to eat because the wings were really just that disappointing and at the price point, we didn't want to risk it. Not to mention, the first two beers my buddy asked for.... They were sold out. You're having an event, how are you sold out before it even begins? There was a $15 cover to get in. I was ok with that because the band was beyond phenomenal and let's face it, they're not there for free. It has a ton of potential and from reading the reviews, I'm thinking maybe it was just an off night but I have to base this review on my experience.

Chef Kai was super welcoming and engaged in convo with us, including with our 8yo daughter - he set the tone for a cozy dining experience that felt like we had entered his home. Everything was fresh, quality, and obviously made with TLC. The dipping sauces were each characteristically delish and I loved that they gave all of them at once so we could try them all. Best ground chicken burger I've had - juicy and worked well with the brioche bun. The oxtail burger was super flavorful and tender. Next time I need to try the shrimp burger. I went with the side of sweet potato tots and oxtail gravy, and it was the best tots I've had especially in the gravy - again, quality and fresh. The pink lemonade was perfection - fresh lemons, real sugar, and not overly sweet at all and check out the container it comes in! Plus lollipops with the check - such a cute added touch. The location is in a park, walking distance from the NJ Pac and train stop. If we had more time (and could take a to go bag with us) we would've absolutely ordered wings and tried another burger - so that'll be for next time! Love having this kind of dining experience in NJ and supporting a community gem like Chef Kai!

I really wanted to support this restaurant, but unfortunately our experience left us feeling…read moreuncomfortable. When we arrived, the owner/chef told us the wait would be about 10-15 minutes. Shortly after, another couple came in and were told about 20 minutes. We were the only two parties waiting. When a table opened, the waitress began seating us, and the chef stopped her and asked the other (AA) couple if they were there first. He then told the gentleman, "I see you with family, and I'm not trying to start any problems." This was said while we were literally being seated, and nothing was said to us. It put us in an awkward and embarrassing position, as we would never intentionally skip ahead of anyone. As a Hispanic couple, the interaction also left us wondering if we were being treated differently, even if that wasn't the intention. Then the drink order added to the frustration. I ordered a hibiscus lemonade and my boyfriend ordered a regular lemonade. The waitress repeated it back incorrectly as strawberry, and I corrected her. About 10 minutes later she brought a strawberry lemonade anyway. When I said that wasn't what I ordered, the chef took the drink and handed it to the other couple who had just ordered a strawberry lemonade , saying it was freshly made and "they didn't want it." That was uncomfortable because I never ordered strawberry to begin with. Overall, the interaction felt dismissive and awkward. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled -- especially the comments made -- left us feeling unwelcome. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and customer experience moving forward.
