Very good as a lunch place. They're still undergoing renovations so a few things aren't up, like the bar, but that doesn't affect the quality of the food one bit. The sandwiches are excellent, and the owner gave us individual attention the entire time. Would like to come back to try more!

Delicious!! My daughter got the chicken fettuccine and I got the grilled vegetable salad with chicken. Both were perfectly flavored. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others to try!

Location: 3/5 Resa Grill is a hidden gem tucked away on Locke Street by automotive and parking spaces. It's very quaint, no parking, and barely any inside seating (however there were chairs outside). It looks like a cozy little shack as you approach it. Beware- the deck in front of the entrance can get very slippery after it rains. Food: 4.75/5 I got the acclaimed Vermont Rooster. It did NOT disappoint. The chicken is juicy and tender, and seasoned well. They made a fried chicken sandwich NOT seem heavy, which is remarkable. They add maple, bacon and pickles so there's a beautiful meld of flavors- salty, sweet and acidic to cut the fat. It comes with thick-cut fries, generously seasoned with salt and pepper. It's obvious a chef made this burger. It's not your typical, run-of-the-mill, diner burger. It also comes with a very quaint pasta salad. For $10, I'm pretty happy with my meal and I'd probably go again. Heads up: wait time is 20 mins so def call well in advance before you pick up your food. Good hole-in-the-wall American restaurant for nearby Newarkians. #supportlocalbusinesses

My first time coming here and was not disappointed at all. It's small little restaurant in the cut, but the owner was hospitable and welcoming. The New Orleans sandwich was delicious. I plan to come back to try the pizza and burgers!

My friend and I came here on a rainy Saturday night after studying at NJIT campus. This place is small, but the owner is extremely pleasant and made sure we loved our food. It has a cute homey feel with outdoor seating as well (which would be great for the summer time!) I ordered a turkey sandwich which came with a side of pasta and fries, and my friend ordered penna al vodka with shrimp. It was all very delicious and we were both satisfied. We were ordering to-go, but because of the rain we decided to just eat in-house. Would definitely recommend this place whenever you're in the area. There is also a parking lot in front of the restaurant, which is convenient.

Resa Grill is a diamond in the rough that is Newark. Lots of love and effort put into every dish. The owner is an amazing guy. Would highly recommend you try if you're around the area.

i ordered the wings and they were really good. It has a cute outside area and a smaller inside area. The owner was sweet and attentive.

Some of my favorite Resa dishes.

Very slow kitchen. Maybe because the food seemed defrosted. Not good at all and would not recommend.

It was packed with 4 kinds of meats. Some reviewers mentioned that it was too much meat, but that shouldn't be a reason to dock a star. My partner enjoyed his steak sandwich as well which had cheese whiz. Super local spot. Has maybe three tables. Employees were nice. Place is across from a church so easy to get food after service! Long before the likes of Subs Galore (a few blocks away) tried to rock the boat, Stash's was the only game in town (for a whole lotta years). I grew up two blocks away and I'm positive I put the original owner's kids through college with all the money I dropped here. After hearing new owners decided to keep the lights on I had to make an effort to get over here to show my support. Walking into the new Stash's... the place received a 'glow-up' (I'm entirely too old to be trying to use hip slang!) and loved that they decided to keep the framed Scott Baio picture (one of these days I'll share the 'deets' on that!). Surprised to see a few new menu additions (coffee?! Taylor ham?! Manhattan Special Espresso Soda?!) as well as being open more days and longer hours. For the sake of history I had to try their 'Belly Buster' and the kid handed me the sub in a box. ("Huh?! This is a weird gimmick.") But when I got home to open the box I understood 'why' - no wax paper and standard paper bag would've been able to hold this beast together. Just a ridiculous amount of (Thumann's) cold cuts and toppings that the (decent) bread tried in vain to keep together. "Bang for your buck" - you won't find a better deal. But for me it was TOO much and there's definitely an 'art' and a 'balance' to the ratio of meat to toppings to bread and Stash's is a bit TOO generous for my liking. One odd tidbit that brought me back to my youth and the old Stash's... that "stinky sub smell" that you just can't get off of your hands (and body) - no matter how many times you wash your hands, brush your teeth, take a shower, you name it. (Sadly it's Pavlovian for me to want/need a Clinton's iced tea when devouring a Stash's sub but that's no longer an option.) I hope they have another fifty years of prosperity down there in West Hudson!

I immediately stopped on the Vietnamese restaurant with almost a perfect rating at 4.9 stars and 500+ reviews. I'm equally excited, and skeptical. NY/NJ residents aren't the easiest to win over. I walked maybe 6 min to the restaurant. It was a nice sized store front with a well lit dining room, and self and full service kiosk. I was immediately greeted by the staff, I chose to do self serve. Even with that, I still felt very welcomed and engaged once I placed my order. All the items were displayed, and looked fresh. The staff carefully put together a teriyaki salad bowl, and pho for me in about 10 minutes. Once I got the food to my hotel room, I was genuinely impressed. The Pho was so rich in flavor, without being too salty. The noodles were the perfect texture. 10/10. A few hours later after the gym I cracked open the salad bowl. This was referred to me by the staff vs the lemon grass chicken. I am glad I listened, the amount of tender juicy chicken is impressive. The crispy lettuce, and robust tomatoes were a great combination of healthy, and hearty. Bahn & Bo deserves the accolades it's earned, and the one I made up at the beginning. Pro tip: The prices are so good, and so are the portion sizes. If you are looking for fresher, lighter, healthier, skip the Chipotle and Qdobas around the corner, and come here.

There should be a level of accountability and suspend them from doing business with you all.
