Target apparently rearranged their store causing the optometrist and optical department to be separated, one inside and one outside. Optical person kept saying Dr's office was on "the other side". Upon discovering that this meant outside, was told by receptionist that I had to fill out forms that I had already filled out online. When I asked why I was filling forms out again, I was ignored by her and she seemed more preoccupied with a guest she was visiting with. The new office apparently had no A/c so we were sweating it out while we waited. read more

This review is not for Dr. Phan...who is great. It's for her front desk and the sub doctor she used on Dec. 1. I had an appointment for 10:30 and admittedly was late. I called ahead and advised the reception...she said within 15 mins was OK. I get there at 10:44 and there's no one in the office..just two receptionists (one looked to be training). The sub doctor had stepped away. She walks in at about 10:48 and greets me. The receptionist asked if it was OK for me to wait on another client to be seen since I was "late". Feeling terribly I said OK. So we are all literally sitting in a quiet office...me...the doctor and the receptionists...I think to ask...well is the other patient here or no? She says no she comes in at 11am and she said expressly that she does not want to wait. Also a vision exam usually takes 30 mins. The sub doctor hears me asking about the next appt And comes out and basically tells me that my being 15 minutes late (when Id called) has thrown off her whole day. I was pretty much expected to just sit there and wait for the 11 am patient to get there and to be seen! And then I'd be seen all because I was 15 mins late. I'm not sure why I wasnt told on the way there to reschedule but asking a sitting patient who was still and within my time limit (of 30 mins. Per patient Apparently) to wait on another person who wasnt even there yet in an empty office was unbelievable! The doctor co-signing on this nonsense made it even more unbelievable. I just rescheduled and left Dr. Kelly will be hearing about this one. read more

I felt she rushed through my exam. Wouldn't wait for me to answer. I got the prescription, received my new glasses a week later, couldn't see with them. Went to another Dr, got new prescription, they were nowhere near the same. New glasses, from different Dr are perfect. I can see well with them. Prescription given by her was: OD -2.25 -0.75 X 105 OS -2.25 -0.75 X 073 New Dr prescription OD -3.00 +0.25 010 +2.25 OS -3.25 +0.75 160 +2.25 This is a HUGE difference! My husband and I have had great experience Kelly Phan. We both wear contacts and glasses. We went at separate times. My husband had no complaints and plans to go back to her. She did a great job fitting him up for some bifocal contacts. On my visit, I was seen right away. I was not rushed. She answered all my questions and she knew what she was talking about. How this individual has obtained a license to practice optometry and stayed profitable is beyond me! If you're looking for someone who refuses to offer anything but uncomfortable , Unnecessary stygmetism lenses, Slams you through the vision portion of the testing like she's being bothered then this would be the office for you! ( FYI: She'll take it personally when you advise her of lense discomfort and have her secretary call you with a play by play about your "Decision to purchase those lenses" as if my immediate accuracy and comfort is somehow in tuned to their return or exchange policy. They say "looks aren't everything" but in this case it's the only thing . One star read more

Dr. Phan is amazing, she is courteous, professional, down to earth and most important she remembered me from my last visit a couple of years ago. I don't understand all of the negative reviews. Dr. Kelly runs an efficient office and allowed me enough time to answer all of my questions. My wait was only 10-12 mins and the examine lastest around 20 minutes. Other than a somewhat cramped waiting area, the experience was quite satifying. read more

Went to Target Optical based on Tim C's review and sadly wish I would have went somewhere else. No troubles with insurance or payment just wanted an eye exam for glasses and contacts. Appointment seemed fine and she updated my glasses prescription but she didn't have any contacts for my astigmatism so I had to wait a week for them to come in. After 3 weeks I finally call them and they say the have them in. I go in and the fit wasn't great, but what was worse was one had a prescription that wasn't right. So back to the exam chair for a new Rx. Seemed to be taken care of and will have to wait a week for it to come in. Again I have to call 3 weeks later to see what is going on. They say they have the contacts in and schedule an appointment. 3rd trip in and I still can't see right, but it's better (not my issue, I've had good success with contacts in the past) get Rx a 3rd time and says she will need to order more, again one week. By this time I've pretty much considered it a lost cause. She's by far the worst eye doctor I've ever been to and can't deal with it anymore. And to put icing on the cake, I ordered glasses with her new prescription and the right lens is noticeably less clear than my old glasses while the left is the same. Never again will I put myself through this again! read more

I have no serious complaints but from the time I entered the exam room until the time I paid my bill was a max of 10 minutes. It is a little disconcerting, but hopefully she is just highly efficient. The reason she gets 3 instead of 4 stars is because of that "1 or 2" questioning. She would say 1 and before I could even begin to take measure mentally of the blurriness, she switched to number 2. I almost felt like telling her to slow down. Instead I chose to not answer until I felt comfortable with giving an answer. That worked. read more

Very disappointed in this Dr, took my 85 year old mother and felt she rushed her with the exam. Before my mother could answer if it's a one or two she moved on. My mother has not had her eyes tested in the last five years, the dr said she' s ok no need for new glasses, tested her eyes for cataracts told me they are in both eyes but no need for surgery she's 85 not young like us so no need to have it done she doesn't need to see clear. We're all busy people, no matter what line of work were in. I felt so at ease and comfortable with my doctor. I was recommended to her by a nurse. I was very impressed by her "great bed side manners", although in the middle of my appointment I had to answer important phone calls from other physicians, I work with....she did not make me feel unprivileged to be at her office wasting her precious time. We all know, now in these days every second count. She patiently waited as I went to my vehicle got my old contacts(which I never opened) and reassured me that the ones she thought I could use without a stigmatism would not work for me. She analyzed my concerns and made sure I left with a right pair of lenses. And contacts. She never rushed me and her tone of voice and manners showed that she cared about me and not just another patient needing an exam. Thank Doctor! I will re visit you again and again. read more

I never write reviews, but I felt I needed to regarding this optometrist. I has an exam for contacts and glasses in June 2015. I tried the contacts for a few months and my eyes were too dry to wear them. Not her fault. She had also written me a prescription for glasses. I finally decided to order new glasses with her prescription. When I got the glasses, I could not see out of them. I took them into Target optical to have the glasses measured against the prescription. They had been made correctly. Well, I can see just fine out of my old single vision lenses and just wanted her to write me a current prescription for them. So, I called Phan's office to get a recheck. I was told since it had been over 3 months that there would be a $30 recheck fee. No big deal since I had waited 4 months to get glasses. When I came in for my appointment, I was told that it would now be $85 for the recheck since I probably needed progressive lenses. She gave me an incorrect glasses prescription and then was going to charge me $85 to correct it. I walked out and will find someone that will give me my correct prescription the first time. Thank goodness the place where I got my glasses from refunded my $125 for glasses that I could not see out of. I ordered my glasses from Warby Parker. They are FANTASTIC. I highly recommend them. read more

I am very hard to fit for contacts so before I made my appointment I called to see if Target optical carried multiple types of lenses. They advised me they did so I made an appointment to see Dr. Pahn. I waited for a very long time to be seen about an hour after my appointment time. Once seen she was rushed, extremely short and seemed very irritated in general. She even verbal reprimanded her front desk help in front of me can we say uncomfortable. To make a long story short Dr. Phan said she only offered two types of lenses and after 3 different visits to get a comfortable fit she pretty much blamed me for the issue. ( I am sure her 10 minute initial exam had nothing to do with it) I ended up giving up hope and pretty much wasted my insurance vision benefit for the year and lost out on the$125 I paid to see her. I would not send my worst enemy to see her. Save your money and see a O.D. who cares. read more
