When you do make an online appointment, you'll be directed to a screen where you fill out lots of pertinent medical information. There's also a breakdown which lists the different services with the associated co-pays. I chose the retinal service and vision test which cost me a $65 co-pay with VSP insurance. Once again, this was another five star experience with Dr. Patel. I added a couple of informative notes below.

I arrived to my appointment early so I looked through their vast selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses on display for adults and children. My exam went smoothly. Lisa performed all the basic exams, like a retina scan, to prepare for the doctor. Dr. Silverino was very helpful answering all my eye questions and she recommended contact lenses based on my needs. Overall, a very thorough yet quick eye exam and will be back again for my next annual eye exam.

Stone Hill Optical came highly recommended I have an autoimmune disease that affects my eyes making them super sensitive to light. I need transitions with the darkest tint available & every add-on available. Glasses are very expensive with insurance because of this. The exam went very well. A very nice young lady helped me select frames & made the order. I picked the glasses up & there was very little tint. I took them back within minutes. I was told my insurance would not cover the tint & that was the reason. False!! My insurance never pays for add-ons. I asked for my money back & I left the glasses with them because I could not use them. I received a call telling me that it was the lab they use. The one they use does not make lenses with a grade 3 or higher tint. I was not told this up front. I was also told that Stone Hill Optical could choose any lab they wanted but contracted with this particular one. WHY? Is it the cheapest? I was told they would find another lab to make my glasses. I picked up the remade glasses a couple of weeks later. A man "assisted" me with them. I said something about the tint better be right this time. He suggested I allow them to make me a custom pair of sunglasses. Seriously?? I spend over $800 out of pocket for transition glasses & he makes a comment like that. I put the glasses on & he told me they looked straight & no effort to make sure they fit other than that . I just left before I lost my temper. I went back to have the nose pieces switched out. I got stuck with the same guy as before. He gave me the last pair of silicone nose grips they had in stock. I had to ask him three times before he told me the size of the grips. Customer service is MUCH to be desired. My glasses still do not fit properly & still do not get dark enough in sunlight. I do not live in Pflugerville & am recovering from major back surgery. I will have to go back again when I feel up to it to have them properly adjusted. I definitely will not let the same person assist me again. Stone Hill Optical may be good for those with normal eyewear needs. I honestly do not know. I do know that I will not use them again next year. I do not recommend Stone Hill Optical to anyone who needs new eyewear with major eye issues. The doctor was good. The rest was a ...well definitely not a good experience.

I came in to get new lenses for my kid's existing frames (re-lensed), and they quoted me $210. Target was $180, and Costco was just $80. The manager guy said it would be cheaper if we picked a frame from their selection. I joked that my kid was really attached to his frames & you should ask him if he wants to change his frames! Instead of a normal response, he coldly shot back, 'You're the parent.' Oh okay, ya unfunny Bill Burr looking jerk. So yea, I took my business elsewhere. Wouldn't recommend this visionworks. I was able to pick out the glasses I wanted. They have a 2 week turn around for glasses. It was a quick, in and out process. Watch your total at the end to make sure they didn't put any upgrades on the lenses, frames, etc, as they tried to do with me. When I mentioned I didn't ask for that they took the extra expenses off with no problems nor pushback.

I had been looking for a Black optometrist in the Round Rock/Austin area but with no luck I had given up. Advanced Eye Care was listed as an in-network provider with my insurance company. I went to their website to read about them. Much to my surprise and delight, there was a black female optometrist practicing in that office! Dr. Bridget Fuller, O.D. is amazing! We talked and laughed as if we had already known each. She took the time to answer all of my questions and even listened to part of my life story. I did not feel rushed. I appreciate her professionalism and sweet demeanor. I was looking for Black optometrist. I recommend Dr. Fuller for anyone of any ethnicity. She is the best! Upon walking into the building, I immediately felt welcomed by the front desk personnel. I was given a notepad to complete my new patient paperwork. A few minutes later, I was called back for initial examinations. I wish I could remember the exam tech's name. She was awesome! Even the check-out process was quick and easy with Danelle. Thanks Dr. Fuller, Danelle and the other staff for making going to the eye doctor a pleasant experience! See you next year!
