BEWARE--They completely misrepresented what insurance they accept in-network!!!! I have VSP, and this is out-of-network and will completely deplete your benefit allowance! They show VSP as "accepted" with the logo on their website, but it's fraudulent. This rip-off took my entire allowance for an exam, which meant that I have NO BENEFIT for materials (contacts, frames or lenses - NOTHING) until another year. My daughter also had an appointment at the same time and they can't seem to bill the correct account. The doc's here are fine - no issue with quality of care, but the stupidity of the office staff cancels out a positive experience. Look, we are all just trying to get through the day and using the insurance benefits that we pay for each and every paycheck shouldn't be so difficult. I hate to dig on the docs here, but they own the business and need to level up the training and customer service, not even to mention accuracy. One other thing - the parking situation is atrocious. There is no lobby and only a few chairs available. It's a very small office and quite compact. Be prepared to wait and wait, and stand and stand. read more

First time there and it was for a minor eye emergency. I called and to my surprise they got us right in. It's COVID times so we arrived, they gave us paperwork and asked us to wait in our vehicle. I actually really enjoyed this since I have littles. They could scream and play inside my car rather than having to be silent and still inside. Anyways, it was our turn so they came out to get us and escorted us down their hallway to one of the eye test rooms. Everything was clean, everything looked up to date and everyone was masked. I could hear another patient saying their goodbyes and I could tell Dr. Dennis builds good rapport due to the tone. The assistant was super sweet offering extra attention to my littles. After a couple of eye tests, she moved us to the exam room where Dr Dennis treated us almost immediately. Okay, here's where I was worried... I have a 4 year old who doesn't like to be touched, I was sure she was going to run out into the parking lot once he got a hold of her. Guess what? She didn't! Dr Dennis was amazing with her, so patient, so kind and even though she's so young he explained everything he was going to do and what it might feel like to her. She of course was still protesting but his demeanor was so calm and cool it kept her relaxed. Praise the lord he was so good with her, he found a small piece of mulch embedded in her eyelid!! If he would have given up or gotten frustrated we would have gone home with a major issue and who knows what kind of damage to her eye. I truly believe, even after one visit that Dr Dennis goes above and beyond for his patients. So... the elephant in the room.... yeah, those reviews, yikes. Honestly I don't know if they have had turnover but the ladies I met were nothing but sweet and friendly. They had masks in but I could feel and hear their smiles. I didn't think to check Yelp since we were in a hurry and I'm glad I didn't because this was truly a 5 star experience. read more

This review is for eye exam with eye glass prescription. Booking appointment is easy - online and a lot of spots open including weekends. I got reminders by phone and text. They were able to confirm my insurance coverage before my appointment. Check-in is also easy too - I got a notebook to enter my medical history and agree to some terms. The waiting area is small so if you have someone accompanying you, better just wait in car or hang out inside lens crafters next door. I paid extra for octomap $37 - it is to take picture of eye in lieu of dilation. Eye exam to get eyeglass prescription is smooth. A technician first checked my eyeglass to determine curreng prescription. Than Dr checked my prescription. Would come back next year and also recommend this location. read more

They took a long time to verify my insurance and by the time I did, they said they have to reschedule me because I missed my appointment. They have no professionalism. Last year they called me and told me that if I didn't give them certain information then and there, they would cancel my appointment, and now this. I have no issues with the ODs here. But the front desk staff will lose them business. read more

The only reason this vision place is even getting a 1 is because of Dr. Dennis and Dr. Ali. I've been a patient of Dr. Dennis for 10 years and I've recently been seeing Dr. Ali for glaucoma. They are both very professional and caring, and have been monitoring me very carefully for glaucoma. Now the staff is a whole different story! They are very short with you, never taking the time to be pleasant. They also don't understand the meaning of "I've met my insurance out of pocket max for the year. Everything is covered and I don't owe anything." Even when I confirmed my appointment, I reiterated about how everything is covered and that the staff didn't understand that. I thought for sure the message would have been relayed but it was not. So today upon checking out, they got very snippy with me when I told them *again* I didn't owe anything. The front desk girl went back to ask and left me waiting for quite awhile to come back to tell me they would bill my insurance. This is the third time it has happened. I don't like the staff's bad attitudes and unprofessionalism. I'm seriously considering looking for a new eye doctor to treat my glaucoma! read more

I just got off the phone with a very rude and unprofessional lady. I called to schedule my yearly eye exam and usually they can look up who my insurance by simply giving them my info and employer info. The lady insulted me by asking if I had Medicare after giving her my date of birth. Then became useless when I let her know it's never been a problem in the past to find out my insurance info. I scheduled an appointment and was reminded of my appointment via a confirmation text. The text contained a link that opened to their address. Unbeknownst to me, the address via their link was incorrect. I called after driving around trying to find their office. The address (via their link) stated I had arrived. Because of this mishap, I was late to my appointment. The directions took us further north, causing us to have to U turn and drive an extra 15 minutes to get there. The lady upfront was dismissive and stated I would have to reschedule. She asked me twice to look at my phone (their text with the link) so she could figure out the problem on their end. Then, quickly told me I had to reschedule. My husband asked if I could be seen since I was only late because of a glitch in their system. They would not oblige. Prior to even waiting on me, she spent several minutes talking to someone in the back about contact lenses and measurements - not even acknowledging my presence. Haven't been to the eye Doc in over 10yrs.....my glasses needed a major replacing and my eyes could def. use a new Rx. Made an appt. for 1030am online which was easy enough. Got there, front office girls were nice and friendly...got things taken care of uberly fast..my wait wasn't long..taken back to the first exam portion and went smoothly(I typically call this the torture exam) but the exam girl(xtremely kind on the eyes, by the way...lol) was quick and professional....I didn't feel any real anxiety as I had in past exams(bright light, air being slammed into the eyes) at other eye places....the wait for the Doc wasn't long, and he was friendly and very easy to speak with...Was really at ease during the exam. Def. recommend this place! Dr. Dennis was able to get my left eye dialed in (something no other eye Doc had been able to do) and looking forward to my new glasses!!! read more

To be honest I was a little concerned to come here considering some of the bad reviews but I needed to get my eyes checked. I called to make an appointment and was able to get in within a few hours. I was received with smiles and checked in immediately. The girls that did my initial test we very sweet and knowledgeable. The eye doctor took me care of me right after. The process was fast and simple. I will try not to judge any company entirely on their bad reviews. read more

YEAY! Eye SEE a great review coming up, lol #eyelovepuns My SO had really let the time slip by and he ran out of contacts. Therefore, we needed to find a place as quickly as possible and have just relocated to the Round Rock area and were unsure where to go. I looked around for a place online that both took his insurance and was open on Saturdays. This was the best one for us! The front desk saw us immediately last Saturday. That front desk also really works as a team. That is so wonderful to experience. Dr. Burg (sp?) was the best. She was on time, fast, and helped us get exactly what we needed to have done. It was no hassle to be a new patient. We are excited to go back at a later time. We were in and out of there in under 20 minutes and on a Saturday that is great! Look for this place, it was kind of hard to find in the shopping center, it is by a Lenscrafters, I believe. We had to take a moment to find it but it is all good. went in for an eye check which is required for new glasses. was in and out in 20 minutes, which was great -- however, the prescription was completely off. i explained i was near sighted, and they checked me for distance only. i didn't realize that until i had put $400 into 3 pairs of replacement glasses. all 3 new pairs of glasses give me incredible eye strain. if i focus only on near sight, its fine. if i focus only on distance, its fine. but if i try to look from the road to my dashboard (or from the projector screen to my notebook) it takes several seconds to adjust and gives me incredible strain. i cannot wear these for more than an hour without getting a migrane. when i explained this to round rock vision, their response was that any glasses purchase is 100% on me. so, after paying for an eye check, and paying for glasses, i'm already out almost $500 out of pocket. they do not take any accountability at this shop and told that the $500 i spent already is completely on me. do not trust this place. 0 accountability = your loss. read more

This is a review based on the receptionist that called me. The doctor may be great but they need to train the front desk on basic customer service. I ended up canceling my appointment and going with someone else based on my interaction with one person in their office. The lady called me to confirm my appointment and verify my insurance. My husband is who our insurance is under. I had both his and I's insurance cards with all the numbers available when she called. I however did not have his social security number memorized or his card with me at the time. I explained that I could get that information to her later. She then told me that if I did not provide the last 4 digits of his social by the end of today (which was only a couple hours from when I called) that they would cancel my appointment. I would have been fine with her explaining that I needed to provide that info by my appointment time for them to use my benefits but it was shocking to me to be threatened for an appointment to be canceled if I didn't provide social security info within a few hours time. I ended up scheduling my appointment with another lenscrafters that was a little farther away but we have had a good experience with in the past. I don't appreciate being threatened. We even have FSA funds we need to use up, so have more then enough funds available to pay without insurance. read more

Dr. Dennis is absolutely fantastic! I've had an amazing experience here for the past two years. It's the first optometrist that I just love love love. He is super kind, patient, and knowledgeable. The techs are absolutely amazing! They are super nice and patient. I showed up early for my appointment and one of the techs at the front desk made conversation with me and was super friendly. Last time I went was my first time trying contacts and it took me almost half an hour to get them in and out for my first time and the techs were SO PATIENT with me. Absolutely incredible practice. I scheduled my Nephew an exam online. It ask if you want contacts, it's ask if you have ever worn them before. It DOES NOT tell you there is a hidden eye exam fee that insurance won't cover when you fill out the new patient paperwork online. So we arrived at the store, I checked him in, I said he was here for a contact exam. They asked AGAIN if he's ever worn them. I said no. They gave me more paperwork to fill out that DOES NOT mention this fee. He has his exam done, and they told me that we owed $85. I ask for what and they told me it was for them to teach him to put them in. I told them that I can't afford it and I will teach him to do it my self and then they finally came clean about what they were actually charging me for. They told me my insurance company is making me pay, I called my insurance company and they stated it was not them making me pay, it was the company's policy. They were charging me for services already rendered. If I could give them less then 1 star on here I would. U don't Know if it's bad training or bad ethics, but lying to people isn't ok. My income has been severely cut due to COVID-19, and now I have to choose my kids contacts or paying a bill. No choice. He has to stop the headaches. So I have been a patient here for about 2 years and everything was going good, never any issues.... Until today. I went in on my lunch break hoping to get a pair of contacts to last me until mine were delivered. I explained to the receptionist that I opened my last pair this morning and one was already ripped and unfortunately I accidentally ripped the 2nd one (sometimes happens with my longer nails....). She informed me that I can not be given a pair unless I ordered through them. I am able to get 2 boxes online for $100 and they would charge me $140. I asked her then if I could maybe buy a pair off them and she said yes but it would be a $40 dispensing fee!!! Ummmm no thank you! That is ridiculous. I was expecting maybe $10-$15 if they charged me for them not $40 for ONE PAIR!! I mean seriously who rips patients off like that??? I will be finding a new optometrist. read more
