Extremely disappointed in the service here. During the week (they are only open Mon-Thurs) people have work and lives so getting time away to get something done is not easy. I went in last week for a routine eye exam. Their website said it would be 20 mins. After 20 mins of waiting they were ready to begin... After a first round of tests I needed to finish off by seeing the doctor for the final sign off etc. I waited another 15 mins and eventually had to leave because I had to get back to work. I was already 40-45 mins into a 20 minute appointment. I was told to come back for the second half the following week. Assured I would not need to do the same tests again but just do the second half. I turn up today and after 20 mins waiting (did their files not show that I had issues last week) I get pulled in....to do the exact same tests from the previous week. After this I was then asked to wait in the lobby. At 2.40 (my appt was 1.40) I still hadn't been seen (A full hour after my appointment time). I left. I explained why and was told 'Sorry about that'...no explanation as to why I had had to wait so long. I had been going there for glasses for years and they have previously been decent but sadly I'm done with waiting that length of time. People have lives and things to do. I don't set aside an entire afternoon for a routine eye exam. Extremely disappointed but I doubt I'll be back. read more

I would 100% recommend Dr. Guenthner and her team! Our daughter completed vision therapy here for strabismus. We were originally going to go the surgical route because that is all we knew. After doing research I learned about vision therapy and I am so happy we went with it. It has helped her eyes so much. It is not cheap but it is so worth it! read more

My little girl is doing GVSS with Dr. Lumby. She has not been able to see since June and now it is October, and Aspire Vision Care has not responded to any of my messages. My little girl plays volleyball and has been complaining of not being able to see at school for approximately five months now. I have asked for an appointment for my child or a refund for the lenses that have not worked. I have not heard back from this company. Please notice that the good reviews were posted over one year ago. 1. Great doctors. 2. Incompetent glasses/lens department and management. I've been trying to get the lenses for my glasses with my updated prescription for over a month now. Initial wait of about 2 weeks and when I get to the office the lenses are not cut to the proper size. Not a big issue they re order the lenses and say they will cut them in office. I wait another 2 weeks for the lenses to arrive and travel to the office again. This time the building is locked and the lights are off. No emails about closures and the hours show they are open online. I try calling: straight the voicemail. TLDR: Great for eye exams. Our daughter just completed a year of vision therepy here and we are extremely impressed with our experience here. First, and most important, the results - a dramatic improvement in her vision. To be honest, I was a bit of a skeptic on vision therepy. I never heard of it and didn't find much info on the web. With our insurance not covering it, it wasn't going to be cheap. Eye exam was good I thought. I have used progressive glasses for several years, but noticed it was getting harder to read on the computer. The doctor said I needed two pairs of glasses-one for reading and 1 pair of progressives for everything else. Ok, so $960 later the same day, I ordered "reading" glasses and a new pair of progressives with transition darkening for sun. My "reading" glasses came in first. Right away, I notice they are perfect for all situations-reading, driving, walking, and watching TV. Then my new progressives arrive-ok for driving, TV-I just came back from a walk and the "darkening" glasses do almost no darkening. I have attached pictures. Second pair was a waste of my $$. i specifically asked the doctor if one pair of glasses could contain the correct prescription for me-the answer was no-I needed two pairs of glasses. read more

I have had several eye specialists to check my eyes because of diabetes, The three prior specialists were not as good as I thought they should be and they were not accurate in most of the things they told me I truly did not want to try again but my doctor family required me to do that so he sent me to Aspire vision care with Dr. Carissa Lundy and what a surprise, this is top notch, you can only believe if you see it yourself. I can't speak to how good the doctors are...this review is about their website and online appointment sceduling. I've made 2 appointments online and both times I was called and told they didn't know how it happened...but the one time that I made an appointment...that time was double booked. The first appointment was in November and then I tried again in December. They are so sweet and apologetic when they call, like double-booked appointments NEVER happen... I have been coming to Aspire Vision for years now, and had to write a review for my most recent experience. All I have to say is AMAZING!!! Here's what happened.. I left for a holiday vacation and I forgot my contacts. Called them right away and asked how they could help given the situation, and I even told them I would pay for the overnight fees. The representative first stated she would have to check if contacts were in stock and would call me back. Well.. 1) They were in stock, (mine are rarely in stock due to my astigmatism), YAY! 2) They took care of the overnight shipping fee! This is one of the many reasons I come to this optometrist. They take care of their patients, always. Definitely recommend if you're looking for one. They recently added another doctor too. I will caution however, they're only open M-Th. But, because of their rapport with their patients I am staying and I will adjust my schedule accordingly. Strongly recommend! read more

My wife took our 2 kids in to get their eyes checked and get new glasses made if needed. Our daughter's prescription had changed a bit, so she needed new glasses. After checking out the frames, she had her heart set on a really nice one, but it was just more than we could reasonably afford, especially around the holidays. She was very upset and in tears about it and my wife and I agonized over what to do. In the end, I made the call to get her a cheaper but also very cute set of frames. We went in just a bit ago to pick them up and to our surprise, Aspire had went ahead and made her glasses in the frames she loved without charging us extra. It was a complete shock, and our daughter was over the moon for her new glasses. We didn't ask them to do this or anything, it was something they did on their own. We're so touched that they were willing to do something like that for our daughter. She's so excited about her new glasses when before she wasn't really looking forward to them at all (even on the way in, she told me she didn't want new glasses). Now, she can't stop talking about them and is thrilled to show her friends at school tomorrow. I should also note that this was our very first visit to Aspire, we weren't a longtime customer that had built up years of goodwill. Well, they'll certainly have our business in the years going forward. They are an absolutely first class establishment. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could! read more

I got my exam and prescription from here but frames from somewhere else and the vision just didn't feel right. I took them them back to make sure the prescription was right and it was but I still didn't feel right. The tech took the time and listed to me and checked with the dr and apparently the curvature was different from my old glasses so it was like a fish bowl effect basically. They updated the prescription for the curve and I got them redone at the place I got the frames and couldn't be happier! All the staff was polite and took their time with everyone. read more

While I was there, I asked about putting new lenses in an old set of frames that I really liked. I had been previously told at Eyemart Express at Hester's Crossing that it would be "quite impossible given the strength of my new prescription, but look at the vast selection of new frames we offer." "Oh, you like those, it will be ~$450, a great deal with our ongoing sale!" Aspire, on the other hand, had the order placed in about 10 minutes. No fuss, no high pressure upsell. A week later, and I'm writing this review wearing the very same frames I was told by others were obsolete. And it cost me about $130. Aspire has won my return business. read more

Great doctor and exam, but they don't give you your PD measurements unless you buy glasses there. This makes them USELESS to me and is not what they told me when I forked over $170 for the eye exam fee. Did not receive prescription at 1st visit. I had to leave, so they only had time to collect their money. Waited 10 minutes at unattended desk, on follow up visit, only to leave without the info. Sorry, I don't have a vision plan, that makes me an actual paying customer that got virtually nothing out of the deal. They showed me $600 lenses and $200+ frames. I'm so glad I choose this facility for our vision care! The staf was friendly and knowledgable. The doctor was competent, thorough, and very patient during that pesky glaucoma test! Which, by the way, must gave taken twenty attempts. Come on, I know you hate that test as much as I do! Coolest thing? She has a nifty new test that is not the puff of air everyone dreads! In any case, I had a lovely experience and I was happy to see they had frames that were affordable enough that they would be completely covered by my health insurance. I was also happy that I didn't feel like the staff was giving me a sales pitch to upsell me on every lens option available. It took the pressure off, big time. She suggested eye drops for my tired and strained eyes. I've been wearing glasses for 20 years and bifocals for 8 of them and no doctor ever suggested this for my scratchy eyes. They've really helped! I also like that she was courteous to pass on dilating my eyes since I'm still nursing my 12 month old and she thinks it's best not to expose myself to anything that may be absorbed by my body. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and so was the doctor I saw (Dr. Bellingrath). It was an easy, hassle free examination just as it should be. They did some new and interesting tests too (I hadn't seen an eye doctor in approximately five years), which they walked me through patiently and efficiently. I chose Aspire because they accepted my insurance and they are close to the house. What a find! Warm, caring, well trained professionals...I have worn glasses all of my life, and getting eye exams has always been routine at best. I had my eye on a pair of glasses at my usual optician, so did not plan to use their optical services, and they promptly provided my prescription to take with me. But here's what gives them the five stars...I came home and told my housemate about them, and he made an appointment to be examined. He came home from the visit amazed. Dr. Guenthner had diagnosed a correctable issue with his eyes that had never been addressed before. My friend has worn coke-bottle glasses all of his life, and still had vision issues...as his age progressed, he has to read on a Kindle with huge print, watch only large screen tv...you get the picture...he wasn't getting the picture! He has also suffered sometimes daily migraines for years. She thought this new change would help with that. I have always known that there are lenses and then there are lenses. You can opt for inexpensive, but they will always be thicker, larger, less finesse...and you will be wearing typically less than fashionable glasses. When opticians "upsell" (that is a bad term), they are truly trying to help you get the best lenses possible for your prescription and the frames chosen. So he had his lenses made and picked up his new glasses. He called me excitedly..."I can read a book! I can read a book!" Amazing! But even more amazing was a conversation we had a week later. We were watching t.v. and he turned to me and thanked me again for telling him about Aspire vision. He had realized that day that he had not had one migraine since he received his glasses. It has been three weeks, now and still no headaches. He has been able to stay at work all day, sunlight is his friend again, and books...did we tell you about the books????? read more

My experience with Aspire Vision care was pretty good. The front desk associates are extremely pleasant and nice, and the other associates and doctor were all incredibly friendly and helpful as well. The doctor had no qualms about letting my appointment last as long as I wanted, giving me ample time to not only ask any questions I wanted to know, but answering my questions fully and fully briefing me about my examination results. Not many doctors do this, as I'm usually used to be rushed in and out and getting bare bone answers to my health. I got wonderful new contacts that have been the best I ever worn. I also bought new eyeglasses that initially I had some vision problems with, but Aspire was wonderful in having me come back in for FREE examinations to get to the bottom of why the glasses were weird for me. It did take an couple months and a few simple tests, but in the end Aspire got my glasses remade to a specification that I absolutely love now. Sure it was annoying we couldn't get it right in the start, but Aspire really went the whole 9 yards to make things right. The reason I am giving this a 3/5 rating however is because of one major dislike I have about Aspire. The wait times ARE ridiculous!! I had to go in for scheduled appointments about 4 or so times in a 3 month period, and almost every time I had an agonizing 45 minute wait or longer! I say agonizing because almost every time I was there I was the only person in the waiting room!! I would not see patients going in or out of the doctor's office, and when the doctor finally did come out to grab me for my appointment, she usually came out alone from a back room with no signs she was with another patient or what not. On one hand it was a bit hard to complain because the doctor and associates are so nice and will spend as much time with you as you want, but I think it's unacceptable to have to wait so long to see the doctor past your scheduled time. No one likes to waste time, so waiting upwards to an hour literally every time I've been here is just no good. All and all, great doctors, wonderful and friendly service. I would give a much higher rating but the wait times for me at least have always been atrocious. Get patients in quicker and I'll be a much happier customer! read more

Boy, was I in a terrible mood the last time I came here! It was due to being on the phone trying to resolve an issue with our insurance all morning and did NOT have anything to do with the staff at Aspire. In fact, the ladies at the front desk were SO patient with me and let me get it all out of my system without judgment. They were understanding and empathetic, and by the time my daughter's appointment was done, I was in a MUCH better mood! Dr. Guentner is outstanding and interacts well with her patients. The office atmosphere is so warm and welcoming and serene. They had a good selection of glasses frames to choose from at fair prices. The turnaround time was incredibly quick. We returned the next afternoon to pick up the glasses, and the front desk ladies exceeded my expectations of cheerful professionalism. Thank you! read more

I went to Aspire Vision Care because when I looked on line, they had very good reviews. I did not see a doctor there since I had just seen an eye specialist and only needed a new pair of glasses. The initial visit was pleasant but when I got my glasses they did not fit correctly and I could not see the fine print. When I went back, the people were no longer the lovely, pleasant people. They adjusted my glasses which did not fix the problem. Bottom line, I think the frame is for a child instead of an adult since the stems make indentions into my temples and the bifocal part doesn't seem to be in the correct position. read more

I went here having great expectations due to the very nice lady on the phone when i called. The experience was nice. They were very thorough in every part of the exam. The problem i have with them is that they told me i was 100% covered and i would not owe anything for the visit. The even joked with me during the exam saying "Well if its free, why not go every yr!" Two weeks later i get a bill in the mail for $127. Are they aloud to tell you yes, your insurance covers it then turn around and say im sorry, it turns out that you were not covered and now you owe us money. I paid it but will not recommend this place to any of my friends or family. Thats a shitty way to do business. read more

When I had this same emergency-injury a couple of years ago RR Med Center sent me to the 'eye place' next door to them. I hated them then (would rate minus 5 star) for their rude Drs and "don't bother me staff". But this was an emergency-injury and obviously didn't have the means to shop around for other options so had to go back to them this time. Still hate them. Still rude. Still do-nothing. But the next day when I could find a 'real' Dr I called Aspire who were very responsive and told me to come on in. Front desk staff was very caring and empathetic as I was still in a lot of pain. Dr Lumby is so calming. Hope I never have another repeat of this injury but would absolutely and immediately call Aspire. Highly recommend read more
