This review was written based on our breakfast here on Weds, Sept 21, 2022 Ormond Beach has been needing a good breakfast place ever since our favorite place DB Pickles did away with weekday breakfast hours. We had been to Keke's in Lady Lakes, FL last year and was very impressed with both the food and its friendly service. On that morning the place was packed with a dozen couples patiently waiting to get a table and I'm happy to report that we were seated within ten minutes. That was not the case on our visit to Keke's in Ormond Beach yesterday. The place has been open for a couple of weeks and frankly we were excited. First off, as we walked to the front door, we could see that there were empty tables on the right side of the restaurant. When we approached the front counter, we could see 2 couples seated before us. The gal at the counter took our names and when we asked how long a wait, she didn't even look at us and replied, "not long.". From our vantage we only had a limited view of the room and we could only see one empty table. After about 5 minutes we could see one of the couples were called and were seated at that one empty table that we could see. Two more couples then entered and waited along with us to be seated. One of them that came prior to us were called next, it turned out that they had a party of five who were waiting outside so we assumed that they were to get a larger table that was open. We watched the servers working the room while some milled about. We watched people leaving after enjoying their breakfast so we always assumed we'd be next. OK. Here's where it gets sketchy. By now we waited ten minutes and we assumed that we were to be next. And indeed, we were. After a 35 minutes wait. During that time, we watched other couples waiting and then getting up and leaving. One couple who we told we were waiting for a half hour also walked out. As we waited, we assumed that the place was either very popular or was understaffed. The fact is by now I was writing this review in my head. Then they called our name ~!!! That's when the shock took hold. As we walked into the dining room, we were shocked that it was EMPTY. On our side six booths opposite us were empty with at least another half dozen open on the other side. Empty ~!! Our server came promptly to our sticky table and of course we were in a rush to eat. To be frank, our server was good as we got our coffee and water and put in our orders immediately. And the food came very quickly. My sausage and cheese omelet was wonderful, just I expected after visiting the Lady Lakes location. The hash browns were also among the best that we've ever had. I know that is saying something about an American breakfast staple. The bathroom was clean however imagine my surprise when I discovered that the only urinal was for a 5-year-old child. It was like a foot off the ground which is why this is a major engineering error for a town loaded with plumbing challenged retirees and the reason why I had to stand in a pool of urine to do my business. Everybody who uses this restroom knows this and the manager surely does as well. OK, I do know that this Keke's location is brand new, however, they need to have a greeter who knows how to both smile and to seat people properly as we watched a couple of couples actually leave before being seated. Now the bathroom issue is an engineering problem which certainly needs to be addressed. Again, Keke's offers good food and value but that doesn't help if you have a bad taste in your mouth on the way in...and on the way out. read more

We enjoyed a good breakfast at kiki's but found their menu a little lacking. They don't have biscuits. And they really don't have a breakfast option for the basic eggs, hash Browns. Bacon and toast, so you have to order it Ala cart. I ordered two over medium, home fries, ham steak, and toast Ended up paying close to twenty dollars for it. My husband ordered 3 scrambled hash browns and toast know meat. We both ordered water.No coffee but our bill still came out to thirty dollars Without tip. If we'd ordered coffee it would've been forty five out the door that is ridiculous So we are one and done. read more

Service has just bad! My breakfast was not good, no flavor, the mushrooms and sausage were none existent. I wasn't to order another drink for my daughter but she never came back after dropping of our food. I think they chopped up one small mushroom and half a sausage link and called it a day. read more

Was there this morning and upon leaving to go back to Jacksonville I suddenly realized that I had left my breakfast behind at the restaurant. I called back and explained my situation on leaving my leftovers behind on the table. Well I spoke to this worker there and explained that I had been there earlier and forgot my delicious tasting food. She said that once you leave they throw away what's left on the table. I asked to speak to the manager and he soon came to the phone, I explained again what I did and he said that they normally doesn't REPLACE lost food, BUT.......... He would replace what I had left and HE DID !!!!!!!!!!!!! I so appreciated what was done for me ! He also explained again how this WAS NOT SOMETHING THAT WAS DONE ON ANY OCCASIONS, BUT HE MADE AND EXCEPTION FOR MY CASE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. read more

I see Keke's all over the place so I thought we would give it a try! Definitely won't do that again. The waitress was nice and they greeted us right away, but the food is nothing to rave about & it's VERY overpriced. It was over $80 for me & 3 kids. Two kids ordered the kids French toast sticks which were VERY dry and bland (they ate 2 bites & said frozen waffles are better than this) & I got them a side of scrambled eggs to share. I ordered a veggie omelet & the veggies really weren't cooked at all & it was SUPER dry, no cheese and no real flavor. We also ordered a stuffed French toast (banana, pecan, caramel and cream cheese). It was literally a sandwich cut in 4 pieces. Some super dry bread, A little dab of just regular cream cheese, raw banana, a few chopped pecans and the WORST caramel drizzle I've ever had. Complete waste of money. Food was very good! It's a little on the pricey side but, with the cost of everything now not shocking. The servers were very nice and and kept our drinks full. The food was a very slow coming out. I appreciate that it is made to order but, wow that is why I did not give them 5 stars.We have been there twice now and thought that maybe it was just the day but, no when we went today it was a even longer wait. took my family for breakfast for the first time at KeKes. They were accommodated my mom in a wheelchair . Service was slow, lots of tables empty, must have been short staffed. When we finally got our food my omelette wasn't made right(no biggie). The manager came over and took it back. Meanwhile everyone else was almost finished when he brought my food back.... guess what? wrong again!!! The manager wanted to take it back for the third time but everyone else finished eating at that point. The manager brings me my check and says "I took your meal off" yeah no shit I didn't get it... didn't even buy my coffee. The proper thing would've been to comp my table of 4. Not a good impression at all!!!!!!!!!!! I eat breakfast out a lot and they lost my business!!! read more

First time eating there, I got a western omelet and my husband got buttermilk pancakes. The omelet was good but the pancakes were bad. An inch thick with tough skins difficult to cut through. Don't order pancakes. Otherwise the decor is pleasant and the service was great. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars then I would. If you have kids who have specials needs, then don't bother coming here. My family and I went there to have a nice lunch after going to the doctor. My younger sister who has special needs has a special diet and needs to have her food puréed. We brought our own blender but we just needed an outlet. We asked the waitress if they had an outlet so we could puree her food and they said no and went to get the manager. The manager came out and said that he'll ask the kitchen staff if they can do it for us and that it shouldn't be a problem. The manager comes back and told us that they're aren't able to puree my sister's food because it was against the rules. We told them that it hasn't been a problem and that they have done it before and they apologized. We got up and left & told them how messed up that is to not do something for my sister. We never went back there and I don't encourage other people who have kids with special diets to not attend either. read more
