With my father being a career self employed HVAC business owner I tend to be drawn to the same when needing someone to repair an aging system in my home. Kevin fits this bill and is amazing in my eyes. I would highly recommend him if you need HVAC repair or installation in the Austin/RR area. Very responsive, reliable and knows his craft. Thanks Kevin!! read more

Kevin goes the extra mile for his customers. He's a very busy guy, but he's a one-man operation, and trust me, he is worth it. He diagnosed a very complex issue that could've cost me thousands of dollars. Thank you, Kevin! read more

Mr. Kevin replaced a leaky AC coil for me. He's quick with communication and efficient. He's also very kind and hardworking. Most importantly, he knows all things HVAC. And he minds the little details -- a total professional. I'll be using KD Air Pro for all my future HVAC needs. read more

Tonight Kevin Dong showed up on my doorstep at 8:30 p.m., after I had contacted him at 6:00 p.m., and once again saved us from a sweltering, air-conditionless summer night, as he has done every time we've had an AC problem in the past. When we moved into our house seven years ago, he helped us keep our old system functional in order to save us money, instead of trying to upsell us. When it finally died, he installed a new, quality system for a lower cost than anybody else in town had quoted. He is knowledgeable, responsive, hard-working, and honest. Don't go anywhere else for HVAC work. read more

Our AC went our during a summer heat wave. I called 5+ companies to schedule an appointment and Kevin was able to come out before any of the larger companies in town. He assessed the issue, ordered quality parts and installed as efficiently as possible. I will be calling him before anyone else the next time I have issues or questions about my heating and air conditioning. read more

With the last storm our 20 year old unit suddenly sounded like a train wreck! We called KD Air Pro on the recommendation of a neighbor. We called on a Saturday, Mr Kevin came out the very next day. Told us the issue, ordered parts and by Monday afternoon he had breathed new life into our 20 year old system to keep us going a while longer!! A/C's are even more expensive then they were before the pandemic and for a family of 6, we just don't have that in our budget right now! Mr Kevin was humble, kind, prompt, thorough, and affordable! We are expecting high humidity and 90+ temps starting tomorrow but our family will be cooler because of Mr Kevin!! We will highly recommend him to anyone and everyone who needs service!!! read more

Kevin is extremely reliable and honest! I called him late Sunday afternoon when I discovered a water leak leaking down two stories! I felt horrible bothering him on a Sunday! Without hesitation he said he would be right over! He found the problem - a corroded pipe leading to a water heater! He drove to a hardware store to get a part and he fixed the problem for me! Kevin is kind, intelligent and willing to help! It is nice to be able to trust him! I highly recommend him! read more

SHOUT OUT TO THE AC REAPAIR MAN OF THE YEAR! Anyone in the Austin and surrounding area save the number for Kevin. Let me just say he is 100% an amazing person and has delivered on customer service. He came out yesterday on a freaking holiday weekend to look at our ac unit. I his service charge was so affordable and I am pretty sure it was just his normal charge. If you have ever had ac problems on a weekend let alone a holiday weekend you know how difficult and expensive it can be to get someone out. Today the landlord approved to have everything fixed, but Kevin has to order the parts and they wont be here till Wednesday. Most ac people would have just been like oh your dying until Wednesday and not cared. Kevin came back out today (still a holiday when most people are not working) brought us not only 1, but 2 window ac units to keep us cool till the parts come in. Oh an he didn't stop there he also put the window units in and got them all situated for us. He has a family he could be enjoying the weekend with, but he still came out and helped us when we needed it. He went above and beyond and kept such a fair and inexpensive cost. Seriously Kevin deserves to be noted as ac repair man of the year. Dont lose his number you will be sorry later. He said he will drive out to dripping springs, lago vista and go all over the greater Austin area. Trust me I will refer everyone I know to him. Me and my babies get to have good night sleep and stop sweating alm bc he went the extra mile to help us without us even asking he offered the window units to us. So thankful that there are still kind, generous, caring people out there. read more

Kevin was able to fit me in on short notice--contacted him Friday night and he was at my house Sunday morning. What I thought would be an expensive repair of a refrigerant line, he was able to fix by bending it back into shape by hand. Saved me a lot of money. As a bonus, he's a really nice guy, professional, and responsive. He's honest, knowledgable, and exactly what you want from a professional working on your home. read more

Kevin at KD Air Pro comes through. For example, on Friday, June 22nd our a/c unit failed. He was booked all day - well into evening - yet he offered to show up at 9 PM (after his last appointment) to help us. Kevin has a family to go home to, and he was clearly tired when he rang our doorbell. But he helped us got a cool night's sleep despite the 100 degree day. Kevin's not only reliable, but also extremely knowledgeable and honest. He services our a/c and furnace regularly, at reasonable cost, with the ability to make the equipment function optimally for as long as possible. Over the years, before a contractor recommended KD Air Pro, we used other a/c-heating companies to do our installation, maintenance, and repairs. None have done as high quality work at as reasonable cost as Kevin. We feel lucky to have found him - and don't intend to switch so long as he's in business. read more

Kevin is great. Great service. Great value. He gave us options and explained everything so we could understand. If you want good and honest service for a fair price he is your guy. Thank you Mr. Dong for getting our A/C working again for a price we couldn't afford. read more

I had another company evaluate our upstairs air conditioner at the end of last summer and they suggested that we needed to replace the unit. They were not very professional and left several holes in our duct work, so I got two other estimates. Both agreed that the system needed to be replaced. The other company seemed to be trying to upsell me too much to a much more expensive unit. Kevin with KD Airpro was prompt and professional and had significantly lower prices across the board. When we scheduled the work, he showed up on time with Jason. Both were very professional. They completed the job in a day like they said they would and cleaned up after themselves. My wife was very pleased and felt comfortable with both men. We are very pleased and highly recommend KD Airpro! read more

Kevin has been our A/C guy since we bought our house in 2015. He always makes time to help us, even late at night when necessary. His pricing is very reasonable and he will actually help you *save* money where he can. He actually cares about making sure you are comfortable and satisfied, and isn't just trying to bleed you of as much money as possible. He does excellent work and everything he's fixed/installed has held up and been problem-free ever since. I cannot recommend him enough! read more

I called KD Air Pro around 9:00 am, Kevin answered and said he would be at the property from 1:00 and 2:00 he texted me at 12:45 that he was sorry that he could not meet me until 1:10 . Kevin diagnosed the problem and told me that the condenser did not need freon but that the tenants at one time ran the A/C without a filter and sure enough when he opened the unit, he took the filter out and it was all dirty in the unit, since I know how to clean the evaporator coils I told him that I would clean them. I wanted to pay him for diagnosing the problem, but he did not accept any money. He was very knowledgeable, amicable and even gave me some pointers on other A/C jobs. I will use him again and highly recommend him to friends and other real estate offices. read more

We chose Kevin at KD Airpro, Inc. after several recommendations by neighbors. It was a great decision! Ours is a two-story house, so we had to replace both units - a big expense. However, Kevin's quote was lower than another we received. Quality is more important that lowest price for us, but he also came with many referrals for doing a first-rate job. So win/win on both fronts! Kevin was very professional and thorough about explaining our options (and limitations). I really liked his approach. It was a multi-day project, with weather alternating between comfortable and cool. In the middle, he made sure upstairs unit was installed and functioning so we had heat at night in case of projected cold front. Kevin kept us informed of stages, if he had to leave, when he would return. Also, I appreciated the great care he took with our home, laying down tarps to protect the wood floors, cleaning up every spec of debris. Additionally, Kevin was careful to explain the warranties and stress the importance of registering the units on the manufacturer site. We are very satisfied customers. I have to say, it was very nice to get both technical expertise and business professionalism all-in-one. Sometimes with home repairs that second part is really lacking. read more

Kevin is so helpful!! I have such an older unit that has needed some bandaids and he's there to fix always within the same day!!

My neighbors suggested Kevin who owns and operates his business on his own. He showed up at 9 Sharp and stayed till 930 pm to get the job done. He is very thorough and a really great guy. Gives honest advice and had to extra things and didn't charge more. His quote is was at least $3800 less than everyone else. I can't recommend him enough. read more

I called Kevin from KD Air Pro on a Monday when it was 110 Degrees outside. He was there within two hours despite being up in N Austin/Pflugerville and having to drive down to S Austin. The bigger companies were going to make us wait a few days before even coming out. Kevin made an extra trip to our house (probably an hour round trip) to take some extra measurements because he felt that the square footage that I gave him did not include our converted garage (I thought that it did). Good thing because I was wrong and we ended up needing a larger unit. The install went smoothly despite a late start due to some permitting issues unrelated to KD. This guy does top notch work. He is not the cheapest in town, but he delivers high quality for less than the bigger companies in town. Thanks Kevin! read more

Kevin (KD AirPro, Inc) had came to me as a recommendation from a neighbor. I had called him around nighttime, after everyone had left for the day and no one was around answering phone calls. He told me he would show up in the morning the very next day to look at the problem before his other appointments the next day, which was awesome for me since I had called on a Friday night and was getting voicemails left and right. After showing him how my a/c was reaching a low of 92F in Texas summer heat, he was willing to work me into his busy schedule and come out sooner than later. His prices are extremely reasonable for the work done and service provided. He even had to go into the attic on the 3rd floor, carrying everything up on a spiral staircase, to install the a/c unit. He is reliable and responsive as he was working. I didn't have to leave my work to stay around while he worked. He worked late into the night to make sure the place had a/c the next day, even though he had two other jobs he had to run off to. I've already given his number to all of my friends and family who live in Austin. 13/10 would recommend again. read more

I have COLD air. Kevin, the technician knows his stuff. Plus, he was super professional and super fair (charged me half the price other AC technicians were rating the job). Also helpful by giving me options in fixing my AC problem and when it came to paying - definitely recommend this guy! read more

We are repeat customers of KD Air Pro and would recommend Kevin to anyone with heating or AC needs. He's fast, reliable and his rates are reasonable. Get a quote from this guy, it's good business all the way around. read more

I want to send a shout out and thaks to Kevin Dong at KD Air Pro. I came home the other night to a sweltering house. The AC had gone out in 100 degree temps. My brother-in-law, who is a certified electrician, ran a test and said no currency was getting to the unit. I had resigned myself to a stultifying evening until I could call someone in. On his way down the street, my BIL ran into Kevin finishing up a job. Kevin came to my house at 9 PM, fixed my AC within the hour, put in a new board and filter, along with a new programmable thermostat, and charged me a completely reasonable amount. He also shared some great tips for extending the life of my aging unit. And, he was super polite and personable. Thanks, Kevin. read more

On Friday night, we came home and our air conditioner was running but it was 88 degrees in the house. So Saturday morning I called Kevin and he was there within a time he said he would be. He quickly inspected and ran some tests. Unfortunately, the unit was old and dead. Then he tried to make arrangements to replace that day, but due to store closed on the weekends we had to postpone until Monday. In the mean time Kevin made a trip to get some window air conditioners. He then came back to our house and set them up so we would be comfortable throughout the weekend. On Monday, Kevin was there with his install partner and the two of them did a Great Job. They thoroughly explained each step to the install process, and when it was all done the cleaned up and clear all the install mess. I would recommend Kevin services to anyone. At the end of the summer, I will have him back to annually inspect my other rental units systems in the area. Thanks again Kevin for all your hard work. read more

This guy is top notch business material. Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and service fees reasonable. As a female homeowner, I am always leery of servicemen trying to take advantage of my lack of knowledge when it comes to anything electrical or mechanical. I have fixed many home problems myself, but when it comes to the big stuff I have to worry about who I will call and will I get snowed. This spring my AC wasn't blowing cold air. I researched ( thank you Google ) and troubleshooted, but with no success. I was at a loss of who to call as this was my first issue with HVAC. Kevin at KD Airpro was referred to me and he came right away. What I researched stated that it was probably a capacitor, but to be careful because unscrupulous people may try to sell one on a whole new unit. Sure enough, it was the capacitor...sigh of relief! Since he was so prompt and trustworthy, I also signed up for a season service. The service fee, capacitor and season service agreement was a total of $324.00. The only bill I was happy to pay. He will even Pay Pal your bill. The other night same thing happened with no cold air. I was afraid to call him at 11:00pm for fear of a high emergency call charge so sweated through the night. I called first thing in the am and he came pronto. All it was was a switch that blew and he reset it. His call fee is $50, but he said I didn't have to pay him. He even said " why you no call me last night? I would have come". Wow! he really is an Angel! Where is the world are you going to find someone like this? Needless to say, if you are in need of an HVAC service this is THE man to call! read more

I called Kevin to fix the heater downstair on 12/7/2011. He replaced an ignite and charged me $170, After he fixed the downstair heater, the upstair heater was not working at all! It was extremely cold that night , my roommates and I couldn't sleep at all!!!! I called Kevin again to fix the upstair heater ASAP, he didn't come out till the next day morning, he turned off then on the heater and told me nothing wrong with the upstair heater. Well, the upstair heater was working fine before you messed with it!!! Now my upstair AC is not blowing cold air, I found KD Air Pro on Angie's List, " We do a flat rate. $69 for a trip charge. No overtime charge on night or weekend. $20 for Angie's list members TACLB28296E" I called Kevin to see if he could come out and check the AC ( I called Kevin again coz of the Angie's List $20 price ) but he said he was too busy and told me to get someone else to do it, then he hung up on me. Would you hire this A/C Tech? No!!! read more

I can't brag on this guy enough! I got his name from a friend when my AC went out in the middle of June. I called at 7:15am and he picked up and fit me in before any of his appointments an hour later! I could have cried with happiness! I called him about a week ago when my AC line was clogged and he was there the same day. He went above and beyond in his work - more than a bigger commercial place would do. He was honest, good pricing, fast and just super nice and friendly. I've given his name out to everyone I meet in my neighborhood. Totally trustworthy and I'll continue to use his business! read more

My family and I came home tonight to 80 degrees in our house. I immediately called KD Air Pro. He came out an hour later and fixed it in 20 mins. Kevin is the BEST! He installed a new system-inside and outside, as well as new ducts, a little over a year ago. Have not had any issues at all. He came today to do a checkup on everything, and of course no problems found. When he did the install, he was so thorough I didn't expect him to find anything wrong today. He installed the new system as if it were his own home. Can't say enough about him. Thank you Kevin for being such an honest and dependable person. read more

Kevin is excellent - hardworking, honest, and willing to go the extra mile to help a customer. He replaced one of our AC units with a terrific new system for a very reasonable price that was half the cost of the system that another company tried to upsell us, and when the other old unit had a problem in the middle of summer, he came out at 9 pm to fix the issue. He was respectful of our home and cleaned up everything after the install. I highly recommend him and will be using him myself for any future HVAC needs. read more

I was referred to Kevin by two different people and I'm so glad that I took their advice. Our AC went out completely last year and he came within a couple hours. Then, a few months later we couldn't get our heater to work and he fixed that within minutes. I just had to call him at 10:00pm last night panicking because the AC wasn't working and it's supposed to be 99 today. He responded to me and came the next morning. I will ALWAYS call him first when I have any HVAC issues. He is the kindest person and is always willing to help. I can't say enough good things about him and I honestly don't see how anyone could have anything bad to say. He is a lifesaver and has never tried to screw us over. In fact, he did not want to charge me for coming out and replacing something, but I insisted! Thank you, Kevin! read more

I cannot say enough great things about Kevin. He installed our new A/C system a few years ago and helped us apply for rebates that cut the price in half. He does not cut any corners, believe me and he genuinely cares about your opinion of his work. He is timely and trustworthy. I called him to remove all of the AC ducts and connections. He cut the other bid I had in half AND serviced the A/C he installed for free. He did a great job and worked around our busy schedule. Our A/C has been running perfectly and our electricity bill is much lower. I don't have to keep looking for another A/C guy. Kevin is the best. read more
