Clifford knows his stuff! After receiving a quote from another AC company who told us we needed an entire new system for 9k or replace the coil for 2K, we got a second opinion. I'm so glad we did! Clifford was able to find the problem which was that our roofer accidentally nailed into one of the pvc pipes and caused a hole leaking Freon. Clifford patched the hole and added Freon. I first called Clifford to price adding a whole house filter to AC at a home we had just purchased. He checked, and turns out we already had one. Sigh. He was very gracious about my senior moment, and declined to submit a bill. Next, I sent him a text asking him to do a spring tune-up on the AC. I forgot I'd asked (seeing a trend here :) ). He called a few days ago, I was home for spring apocalypse. He installed an adapter for the kind of filter I said I wanted back when, installed a new filter he had bought, checked and cleaned the system, and documented model and serial numbers in *legible* writing on his invoice. Like most reviewers said, Clif is very honest and knowledgeable. His price is not cheap, he even says that himself, but my husband and I both know that if we hire him, the job is done professionally and right the first time. One time we explain the problem on the phone, he told us what to do over the phone, and said if that works, then I don't need to come which saves you the service fee. He was recommended by a friend and we recommended him to my mom (who, like most mom are very picky). Now, my mom only trusts him to fix her AC issue. My A/C stopped working yesterday at 4pm. I hoped it was just frozen up so I turned everything off until the morning to let it thaw. It hadn't been frozen and still wasn't working. I called Clifford Worthy at 8am. By 10am, the unit was blowing cold air again! Patriot Services really came through for us and got us up and running for less than $100. It turned out to be a very simple problem and Clifford fixed it immediately without trying to sell us any other services or unnecessary parts. Since instituting the "Don't Touch It If You Don't Know What You're Doing" rule in our house, calling in a professional was necessary. We met Clifford 8 years ago when he came to fix a gas leak on the furnace in a house we were renting and we were very impressed with his honesty and professionalism. Clifford saved the hot summer day on 6/22/16. Walked into to my home after a long days work and realized it was 80 degrees inside. Went and checked some simple stuff out on the ac unit and had came down to the blower motor wasn't working. My parents have used Clifford for over ten years so he was the first to call. Over the phone he gave me suggestions on stuff to check and said he would be over right away. AWESOME !! His diagnosis was the blower motor and of course it was a special one he would have to order. He installed a motor to get me by until the new unit came in. That next wensday he came by with the now part and it's working better than ever. Patriot is incredible! I reached out to them in mid August after a number of other AC repairs companies with high marks on Yelp failed to return my calls. I got a call back in less than a half-hour from Clifford and he helped me fix my issue right over the phone.
