I have not been since my birthday a few years ago! The remodel of Kaze is absolutely wonderful. This was another celebration of a friend's birthday. So glad we came. The atmosphere is simple amazing. No to loud, even though they have karaoke available for all you singers. Jose and the whole wait staff was so attentive and just awesome. Everyone should and experience Kaze. When the food is cooked right in front of you you know what you're getting. The shrimp were fresh and my friends enjoy their steak, lobster and chicken. They enjoyed their meals. I will come back and do the sushi.

They automatically tip they self before paying for the bill and I don't think that's right don't come here !

Bad experience food was good but adding your own tip before paying the bill is crazy!!!

Serviceable hibachi on upper Greenville. This place can get PACKED on weekdays right around 630 but it's pretty empty by 8pm. The service is why I docked it a star but the food is tasty. The hosts and wait staff did not seem very hospitable at all. They almost seemed a little annoyed to be taking care of you but may have been an off nice for us. The food itself is quite tasty and the chefs do put on a great show. Our kids loved the fire display and we liked that they have a children's menu as well. The food can get pricey (chicken is a little over $20 and steak can easily get over $40). If you get apps and drinks you are looking at a hefty check. We had a group of 7 and that was enough to get us a private table which was super nice. All the food was delicious and they do a good job of making sure you get what you ordered and steaks cooked to the temps you wanted. Pro tip: get a lot of the yum yum sauce! Super delicious.

Amazing service lychee martini do good fried rice is amazing , sushi is good , lady Linda roll is good everything is so good

The actual location is a bit run down in a quiet neighborhood -very outdated. Upon entrance we were greeted and seated immediately. Our orders were taken immediately. The host was really nice and the person doing the hibachi part was awesome! It was a really great show and he was good at making the kids laugh. The food was sssoooo good! I loved everything i got -spring rolls and an avocado roll. I will definitely come back in the future!

We had a great lunch here recently. The fried gyoza was a great starter. The rolls (spicy salmon, yellowtail and shrimp tempura) were great. The service was excellent and friendly. The place is spacious. We can't wait to come back for hibachi.

Very disappointed with my visit here, there are other locations that are much better! I'm learning that they're owned by different people. I always go to the mesquite location and love it but this time chose different due to me being nearby. First, I walked in during lunch for a hibachi meal and was met with dismay as I was alone (other locations seat me anyway and service me, also others soon follow to join the table) this wasn't an option. Secondly, prior to receiving my order, a small bug was walking across my table... looks to be a fly, that I had to smush with my napkin but even worse once my food arrived another fly was pestering me and I immediately had to leave. The guests that were seated after me, table wasn't even cleaned and they waited an excess amount of time to place their order. I also had to look around several times for assistance waitress (seems to be poorly understaffed) I couldn't properly enjoy my meal as I spent most of the time looking for assistance. I ordered a combination meal with double fried rice no veggies, I received the veggies and the double rice as they charged me for the second rice ( this is unusual at the other location when I ask to replace my veggies with more rice... there's no issue). And to top it all off, my order was mostly cold when I received it, I say mostly because the rice was kind of warm and the steak as well, kinda warm. The salmon was cold. Not to mention a tip was automatically added to my bill. Worst visit ever! Will not be returning to this location

The only thing I liked about this place the view out this window.

Everything about it could improve. It looks shut down to me and I hope it is. It's scary.

Popped in without reservations with a party of 2. Thus we had to wait to join a couple of other parties before we were seated at a grill. The wait was over by the bar, but the bar tender was busy and never got our order before we were seated. Our drinks were out quickly and our orders were taken in no time. The grill master was entertaining, if you had never been to one of these type places before. I felt bad as we were enjoying conversations with the other parties and all of us kind of ignored his skills. His flaming onion volcano was pretty skillful as were a few of his knife and spatula tricks. However he really had to work hard to get a rise out of us. His skills were great on the grill and the prepped food was grilled perfectly! Super flavor! I had steak and scallops which was an excellent choice! We did get rushed out the door as there were those with reservation and we were dragging out conversations with our new friends. Tip: make reservation and bring at least 6 ! Plus bring at least one that hasn't seen a flaming onion volcano :) Price was really reasonable!

We just came here for sushi/bento boxes but they also have hibachi stations as well. The lunch specials include miso soup as a starter. The food here is decent. There wasn't anything that blew me away but I generally enjoyed everything that was served to me. The bento boxes come with white or fried rice, 2 California rolls, 1 gyoza and a couple of tempura, an orange + the entree you pick! There's also plenty of sushi rolls to choose from if you'd rather just go for sushi.

$140 for 2 dis hibachi and you Have To Pay tip. I've known this restaurant for nearly 10 years because it's close to my house. I'm certain that this restaurant falls short of a 3-star standard, yet the prices are sky-high, and you're obligated to tip no matter what. There's another issue when you order the Hibachi section; they used to include salad and miso soup, but now they make you choose, which is a cost-cutting measure. I wonder if they're cutting anything from your Hibachi portion because a Hibachi meal, including the tip, can go up to $70. Bad restaurant.

Service was really good! It was my first time visiting the restaurant and it was a great experience. The food came out better than I was expecting and had a few unique twists on it. I would definitely recommend.

The inside is tiny and there isn't even a proper "waiting" area. I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

We got spicy gyoza to start, black pork tonkatsu w/ small curry rice bowl and a spicy dan dan. Gyoza came smothered in their sweet garlic chilli which defeats the purpose of a crispy gyoza skirt. It might be better to retain the crisp and crunch of the gyoza skin with the chilli sauce on the side? On to the ramen -- if you want to know if you're getting a quality bowl, look no further than the preparation of the egg. No respectable ramen shop would serve you well done boiled eggs which was the case here. The tonkatsu had heavy garlic flavor which is good but was unfortunately overshadowed by the abundance of burnt garlic bits. Not much to say about the Dan Dan. Bathroom clean but had a strong smelled. Would not go out of my way nor return with the amount of noodle options in dfw.

I appreciate that before pouring my wine, the one bartender put in a lot of effort to buffing my glass. I ordered a plum wine to start, which is always delicious and sweet. We were seated a little earlier than 20 minutes, but unfortunately weren't greeted for a bit following that. They were super busy though. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable, and we stuck with splitting apps versus getting ramen. We ordered the shishito peppers, karaage, takoyaki, and edamame. To drink, we ordered and split the hot sake. The first plates came out pretty quickly, and were hot and delicious. Our hot sake took a while to be delivered, and we had to ask our waiter to double check it was still on the way. Then when it arrived, we had to fight off a bunch of gnats that kept landing on the bottle. I guess they wanted to party, too! The shishito peppers were definitely my favorite. They were perfectly coated in sauce and flavoring. The karaage was tender and tastes especially good when paired with the watermelon. takoyaki was served hot and it's a blast watching the Bonita flakes dance on the balls. The edamame, while good, needed to be stirred up because the salt distribution was heavy on certain pieces. We wished we could order dessert, but felt a bit rushed by the server. It was a little before 10pm, so we understand they're off at 11pm, but as a former server there's definitely better ways to keep up with the closing process that feels less intrusive to the patrons. I've been to Michelin starred omakases (including tempura omakases) in Japan and New York, and this place honestly meets or comes extremely close to fitting the bill in terms of food and service. At the Michelin restaurants, you pay almost double the price for high quality ingredients, stellar service, ambiance, and a Japanese toilet :P For $100 pp for the tempura omakase at Takumi Hachi, you leave feeling full and satisfied, with a great selection of light and deliciously fried fritters. Each person gets a bowl of their divinely delicious tempura sauce with a generous amount of shaved daikon (not even lying when i say this is my favorite tempura sauce i've had, i could've just drank it on its own) and a selection of salts, with each course given a recommendation of which salt to use. In terms of ambiance: frankly speaking, if it was just the counter service omakase, i'd say it would feel more stuffy and unapproachable. But there is a general seating area that is not counter service where you can order off the menu for sushi, robata, and a la carte options. No dress code enforced or recommended, so you can be dining with all sorts of patrons with different sizes of families and children. whether or not this is your jam, it's still an extremely accessible place to dine for anyone and everyone. Reservations were incredibly easy to make (tempura omakase only From Sunday thru Thursday). Service was really kind and attentive, my husband's water literally never went below half empty. The only thing to take service to the next level is if they cleaned/wiped your plate/gave you a new plate between each course. American toilet. Lol. That's neither here nor there, but the bathroom is very clean lol! They were also sweet enough to read my reservation note for the occasion for dining and gifted us a delicious strawberry mousse, accompanied with a surprise tableside matcha to end the meal. I'm already looking forward to try their kaiseki set meal next time, and know that this place is a top contender to take my friends or loved ones for special occasions. I can't speak much for their sushi, but I added on some robata and grill menu items to the omakase and they were fantastic. Highly recommend the maitake mushroom tempura add on to your course. If you order ebi sushi, they offer to take the head once you're done eating the sushi and either put it in a miso soup or fry it for you, which i thought was a wonderful option. Also, we got tempura anago, something I've never had anywhere else, served two different ways. That alone was enough to make this experience stand out. For an experience like I had tonight, I felt as if the restaurant should be more full. Maybe because it is tucked away behind the other chain restaurants in Addison that are a little easier to see. Don't hesitate if you see the price tag, I definitely think you get a great value for food, service, and experience. We were there for two hours and enjoyed it very much. Thank goodness i don't have to drive all the way to downtown Dallas to enjoy some delicious Japanese food without the headache and hassle of finding parking and an accessible reservation.

First omakase experience was great! Tucked away behind Brentwood but so glad to have gone for my…read morefirst time. It's a larger inside space with plenty of booths, tables, and bar seating. The left side/entrance area does have a bleach/cleaner type smell but I didn't notice it further into the restaurant. We did the Kaiseki Omakase. Staff is super friendly and explained every step of the experience. Like all courses meals - smaller portions but overall left super full. The clay pot was actually a huge portion as both of us ended up getting two bowls worth. Pacing of the meal was solid, kept it moving but didn't feel rushed at all. We were celebrating a birthday and they gave us a sweet treat as well at the end which was so appreciated! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion
