So yummy!! I have never had chicken ramen before and I loved it! It has so much flavor and if you like spice get it spicy! They also had a truffle ramen which I thought was unique. Not a truffle girlie though...Our waitress was so nice and helpful with the menu. I liked the dim lighting and multiple seating options.

My new fave ramen spot! My usual go-to spot has been super busy with long lines. But this place hits the spot. I love how bright it is in here! Everyone is super friendly. All the ordering is done through your phone; the food come out quick and the workers are helpful. I had the Truffel Shantan and oh my was it yummy! The broth was bold yet light. Just enough of a truffle flavor...sometimes it can be overpowering, but it was subtle yet effective. The pork was thinly sliced, however, I think I prefer a thicker slice. But it was still good. The noodles I prefer more thin and al dente, but again, still good! Curry waffle fries were a hit! Crunchy and seasoned well on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I want to try more of their sides and soups!

We ordered the chicken paitan ramen, a regular and a spicy, plus the Spicy Northwest Noble Miso Ramen with Garlic Kara-age. We're so used to tontkotsu broth that having this really rich chicken broth was a surprise. The pork was super tender. The broth was slightly salty but really good. The garlic kara-age was super juicy and tender. Bookmark this spot and would definitely come back! Limited street parking so you may have to drive around to find something.

We came here for the Seattle Restaurant Week menu and Kayava did not disappoint! The space is bright, modern, and thoughtfully decorated, making it a pleasure to dine in. I got the spicy chicken paitan ramen and it was so delicious. The broth was very thick and m creamy but not too heavy, pairs very well with the thick, chewy noodles. The chili oil has a nice kick, it is not too spicy. Overall it was perfect for a chilly fall day. I got the matcha mochi for dessert, it was light and not too sweet. Service was quick and staff were friendly. I enjoyed dining here and would totally come back!

This place was very busy but thankfully we didn't wait long to get a table. They have QR codes to order, food came fast and it was very fresh. The broth was not too salty or rich which I super appreciate. Overall a good experience, parking can be difficult though.

KAYAVA is not the most authentic ramen place and it is pretty expensive for such small portion size. However, the service is good and accommodating which was a huge plus. SHIO RAMEN - 19 +2 egg I should have asked to remove the red onions from the ramen because that was a bit strange. The broth was light but pretty oily. All the other toppings were just OK and not too memorable. I did really like the texture of the ramen noodles, and it soaked up the broth well. The egg looked really good initially with the blood orange yolk, but it tasted extremely off. It had a waxy, slimy texture that was incredibly unpleasant. Sadly, we didn't love the food, but it was worth trying to find out. Food was 2/5, but bumped it to 3/5 for good service.

9.20.2025 Fremont KAYAVA, and while the vibe is welcoming and the staff are super friendly, the ramen itself was also good. The chicken paitan broth was rich and creamy, definitely the highlight, but the spicy pork shoyu felt lighter than expected. Noodles were firm and fresh, which was great, and I appreciated the gluten-free options.

Firm chewy noodles, great broth flavor, good yet simple aromatic oil, and tender toppings. Nothing else I can ask for more in a bowl of ramen! Well crafted. Will definitely be back to try other broths and variations!

Wonderful service, delicious food, calm ambiance, fast wait time for food! The ramen was really well balanced, creamy and a bit unique. I would say tho that the meat is super thinly sliced like in pho but still yummy. I wish there was more toppings in it but the noodles were good too. The egg kinda tripped me out bc the egg white fell right off while the yolk was strangely creamy and held together. Not saying anything! The stand out item for me was the chicken karaage ooh it was so juicy crunchy and savory I would go back just for the chicken. I'm pretty sure we ordered all of those spicy but the spice was negligible like you don't even taste it honestly so I wish they would've gone spicier. The matcha mochi was really good for dessert it was basically matcha ice cream wrapped in a thin layer of mochi and fully covered with whipped cream and matcha powder on top. Overall I recommend this place with a few notes. Very yummy tho

Kayava is one of many ramen spots in Fremont, with about eight ramen options priced around $18-$20. I tried the cold Dan Dan noodles and the truffle Shantan ramen. The Dan Dan noodles were the standout--creamy, spicy, and super refreshing for a warm evening. The truffle ramen was solid too, with nice chewy noodles, though the truffle flavor was on the mild side. I went on a weekday evening and while it was busy, there were still open seats. Parking in this area isn't great, but you can usually find something within a 10-minute walk. Overall a solid spot.

I went here for Friday dinner and it was not too busy. I got the chicken paitan ramen with egg add on and later the kaedama (extra noodles). The ramen came fairly quickly after ordering from the QR code. The broth is very rich in chicken flavor and it's fairly hearty, even though the amount of soup is not as much as other ramen spots. It is a bit on the saltier side. The ramen is cooked to a nice al dente, for both the first bowl and the extra noodles. The egg is a bit interesting as it is poached, not the soy sauce egg you would usually find in ramen places, and the yolk is a bit overcooked, so I wasn't really a big fan of that. Service is good for water refills, but I wish they could improve on being more present. I sat at a table which that section has a small low divider separating from the bar, and the servers seem to be on the phone and talking to other servers for a good chunk of time without focusing on the customers. This was a slight miss that causes delays in the dining experience. Otherwise, the ramen here is good but did not stand out. Prices are fair, a bit higher than the usual, but quality somewhat matches the price.

Service was great, we were immediately greeted and told to sit wherever we would like, shortly after, waitstaff came by with water and recommendations since it's our first time. You order through QR code, it's nifty that you can order as individual or as a group but everyone can look on their phone for the menu. Mitarashi Dango 3/5 2 sticks of 4 mochi balls coated in a sweet soy sauce, with some markings that seem like they were grilled at some point. The mochi wasn't as soft as I'd like for restaurant quality. Spicy Waffle Fries 3/5: They come in a little brown lunch baggie on a plate. I assume you shake for some seasoning to mix but I didn't taste much. The fries are crispy outside with a fluffy potato inside, about even ratio. I prefer my fries to be more crispy on the outside than potatoey. Garlic Chicken Karaage 3/5: They weren't very crunchy or crispy, more like a very light batter fry but they were super juicy. I also think the flavoring on this is just ok, not too strong garlic taste. You get a lil slice of lemon and kewpie mayo to dip, I think more dipping would have made sense for the amount of chicken. I didn't feel like the karaage was special in marinade or seasoning though. Chicken Paitan 3/5: Their most popular ramen, really strong chicken broth, it was stronger tasting than any chicken pho I've had. Soup tasted like they sucked out all the essence that a chicken could possibly be holding. It's rich and not clear like the shantan, it could end up being too rich near the end. Truffle Shantan 4/5: Their second most popular ramen. the truffle is subtle but you can taste it with how clear the chicken broth is. Although clear, the chicken broth is fragrant and full of essence. You can tell it's been cooking low and slow for a long time. The chicken chashu isn't as good as the pork chashu but decently soft. I preferred this ramen over the other Noodles on ramen are medium thickness and a little more cooked than Al dente. Topped both with bamboo shoots, green onion, and chopped raw onion. I understand the raw onion and green onion are meant to offset the richness of the broth but per my tastes, I thought it had too much bite. You can add an egg for $2 which we did, it wasn't a soft boiled egg, more like poached?, whites haven't really set but the yolk was gooey. It was decent, not sure if it's worth it to me though. I understand why they're popular, I can see the vision. I just prefer a different execution. I'd be open to coming back if a friend was looking to check out a new spot in Fremont.

A nice small ramen shop that opened up next to Schillings cider! The waffle fries were definitely better than chick-fil-a and the karaage was solid. The karaage maybe could have been a bit more crisp, but it was by no means soggy. The chicken paitan broth was deliciously thick and rich. I thought the broth could have been a bit more seasoned because the fries and karaage were saltier, so the balance was a bit off. The service is fast and efficient because you order from a QR menu and pay with the server at the end!

I ordered a miso ramen and my parents ordered the tonkatsu ramen. As someone from the Bay Area, I was so surprised by the richness of the ramen and it definitely beats some of my usual spots. The ramen was incredibly flavorful--rich, comforting, and exactly what you want. Everything tasted fresh and well thought out.
