There's a huge difference between cleaning and organizing. I had cleaned areas in my home but wondered why they didn't stay clean! The reason is it wasn't organized correctly. Who knew? There needs to be more stars available! I can not believe I waited so long to get organized. I was worried about being judged for what was in my closet. There was no need to worry at all! She made it so easy to go through things and we had a donation pile and a toss pile. I'm so happy it's done. I was so happy in fact I had them come back to do my kitchen and laundry room. It's so nice to have our chaos under control thanks to Maureen and Katy Home Organizer. (Full disclosure -- I wrote this review a while back and forgot all about the well-deserved stars-- so this is a repost from an earlier date-- With all 5 stars that Maureen has earned) We were a classic case of too much stuff belonging to too many kids who have left home but are not ready to take their items with them. Maureen came to the house, developed a plan of attack, and then we began working together once a week on a different area. Because we've been in this house for a long time, items were mixed among different rooms. So, we set aside an unused bedroom for staging and sorting as we worked our way through. To avoid the "you threw out my stuff" syndrome, We texted grown kids with pictures of some of their things to find out whether or not they had any interest in keeping them. We even set aside a separate pile so my husband could salvage treasures before we hauled everything away. We worked together, sorting and packing keepsakes while we also made other useful items more readily accessible. This project brought me a sense of peace and control, something that was sorely lacking before. read more

Just relocated to Katy, TX. Moved in with our in-laws. We shipped our belongings which took up my sister-in-laws diner room for a couple of months. Called Katy Home Organizer. Maureen was out the next day for a consult...two days later she arrived to complete the job of clearing the boxes out of the dining room and organizing the garage. Six hours later the job was complete. My sister-in-law has her dining room back!!! We have storage for our belongings and there is still room for both cars to fit in the garage. I did a google search for a Professional Organizer in Katy. I had 2 companies to choose from and chose Maureen because of her candid reviews. I didn't know what to expect. I was at my wits end. I'm a full time mom with a full time job. I barely have time enough for cleaning let alone organizing. We moved into our new home almost 2 years ago and never had a chance to organize my closet. Boxes of shoes and accessories were still lingering in the back of the closet. Clothes everywhere, on hangers, off hangers, bags with clothes, you name it, it was everywhere. Maureen's work is outstanding. I ended up getting rid of 60% of my clothing (she took it for me to Salvation Army) and shoes and she organized my closet perfectly. By color, by type, by section. The process was very efficient. After it was all done - I had more room for my shoes, handbags and clothes. She was so easy and quite fun to work with. It was also a very theraputic exercise. To date my closet is still immpeccibly organized. Doesn't take me too long to figure out what to wear and I wear everything in my closet now that I can see it. It really is life changing. Her rates are very fair especially for the peace of mind it leaves you with. Worth every single penny. I love my closet now. I am so proud of it! She also helped me with my food pantry - wow amazing! I have to much more room in my pantry and everything is and stays organized. It keeps me from over-buying as well. I can't stress enough how good it feels to have things organized, especially for someone who doesn't have time. We recently moved into a new house and needed help unpacking and organizing everything. Maureen, Lindsey, Linda and team were amazing! Instead of living with boxes for months after a major move, we are now fully moved in, organized and enjoying our new home in record time. I've been needing help getting my house organized for quite some time now. I've made several attempts on my own but either couldn't follow through with my ideas or the system I chose just wasn't working anymore. I find that I have lots of ideas of how I want things to be, but somehow lack the patience or motivation to get it executed. Hired Katy Home Organizer to organize our garage. Since we moved into our house over 3 years ago we have not had the time to organize it. Each and every other project we had took priority. So, while my wife and I were away on vacation, I surprised her by hiring KHO. They came out before we left to give me an estimate and discuss what I was looking for. My husband got me the BEST birthday gift ever - a completely organized home! Maureen organized my 1800sqft home with limited closets efficiently and the results are truely amazing!. My closets are so awesome - I will literally open the door as I pass just to stare at the organization.
