When you are paying nearly $300 per hour for organization systems to be set up, why would you want an outcome of numerous plastic grocery bags meticulously folded into triangles? That is part of the puzzling outcome we received along with nicely organized spices among other things. In other areas, top drawers were organized logically while bottom drawers were so jam packed with items that we could not open the drawers. I could go on with the questionable outcomes. We addressed them directly and politely with the owner, Amy Vance, during and after her and her team's visit. She did not seem to grasp that the work was incomplete and deflected. We followed up with a nuanced, respectful e-mail. Amy offered 30 minutes on a different day to return and try to correct the issues. Scheduling, travel, and other commitments made coordinating such a visit impossible for us, but we appreciated the gesture. We did not, however, appreciate the inappropriately emotional nature of her response. The work was helpful to an extent but in the end felt like a money grab and did not align with the quality of work done in their prior smaller projects for us by Eco Modern. Every business has bad days but this outcome was really frustrating as we are very busy. The whole experience defeated the purpose of hiring an organizer we thought was professional. We wish them well but have removed Eco Modern from our trusted vendors.

I am the Personal Assistant to an elderly woman with health issues. The home being worked on was…read morehers and I was authorized by her and her daughter to locate a clutter removal and organizing company, hire the company, and give direction to the company. That company was Clutter King and I carried out the initial phone consultation, in-person consultation with Justin (owner), and all scheduling/instructions for the work. After one session, which left the downstairs bedroom completely clear and ready for my client to move into while they worked on the rest of the house, they returned for a second session in which they cluttered up that same room that we had just paid to have cleared. They stored boxes in that room...in multiple places, and in the living room, which was the only clean and clear room in the house. They literally made clutter and mess that did not exist previously. I called Justin (owner) and inquired as to the reason. He instantly became incredibly rude and accused me of complaining. Last time I checked a paying customer can complain if they are dissatisfied, HOWEVER, I found myself almost begging for him to calm down because he was threatening to not come back and finish the work they had started! I directed him to my boss' daughter, who has guardianship over her mother and ultimately makes all decisions. She firmly told him to work with me and to remove all new clutter they had created and to never do this again. We had a total of 3 sessions with them, which started in August, and after the 3rd session, they were not able to come back for almost 2 weeks...and this is mid project. We were understanding and agreeable. We scheduled several more appointments going well into September. This week we had to cancel ONE session due to a SERIES of emergencies....my client's driveway was removed by the city working on water lines and it was raining...the entire driveway was mud all the way up to her front door and garage, AND my client was in tremendous pain from her hip injury. Additionally, I could not be there that day as I had a young child at home running fever. I called and explained all of this to Justin after a phone call from my client asking me to please cancel just this ONE appointment because she just could not get through the appointment that day with all that was going on. This is ONE appointment after three and with three more on the books! ONCE AGAIN Justin instantly became rude and started making threats to not return if we cancelled. I tried so hard to explain to him that my client and her daughter did not want ANY CONTRACTORS in the home without me being present (and this was already told to him previously by the daughter.) His response was truly shocking in saying "well she is not any sicker than she was when we were there the first time." EXACT WORDS. Again, I found myself trying to calm him and I asked him to let me call my client AND her daughter AGAIN, and that I would call him back. I was having to deal with all of this while taking care of a feverish, vomiting child and he knew this! I also asked him if the company had a cancellation policy and said right then and there that we would take care of that, but he stated they did not. When I called him back, I had my client and her daughter (who is a physician and had to step out of the operating room for a SECOND TIME now to deal with this same man) on 3-way to listen and boy did they get an earful! This time he basically accused me of lying when he said "well which is it? You are cancelling because you will not be there or because your client is in pain?" He told me I was giving "conflicting statements." He also accused my client (while she listened) of backtracking and not wanting to go through with the work. None of his accusations were true and we endured ALL of this simply because we needed to cancel ONE appointment of three for that week. It left all of us just astonished that someone would speak to paying customers in this manner. At this point this company had been paid close to $1700 by my client and stood to make more than that with future visits. As a business owner myself I truly understand the frustration of having a client cancel with no notice and it leaving the business and workers with no work for the day...but what more could we do? PEOPLE WERE SICK. Any business owner should know that there are ups and downs and you balance it all with the really good, high profit days. You DO NOT mistreat your customers and talk crazy to them or BULLY them into keeping appointments!

When I told him his verbal 5-figure quote for my move was "horrifying," I asked for the price of just a pack & load. I believe he was upset about a number of things, primarily the undocumented quote rejection combined with the reduced scope of work. I also noticed he didn't listen well about needed to coordinate with my driver. I said the 7th was the move date. Several times. When I call him late last week to firm up times, payment, (cash or credit card + 4%,) my first call to him lasted 1 minute, according to Verizon. I've attached a record of the call sequence. He was very abrupt during the first call. He was on vacation and he didn't need me calling him. He did offer to call me back. He did. The first call back was 2 minutes later. The last two calls were in such close proximity to one another we must have been disconnected. While I can't prove a thing, I've had plenty of experiences talking with folks who had been drinking for a while. Personally, I'd classify our last telephone conversation as a drunken rant. Not a full-blown, nighttime "where's all the scotch?" drunkenness. He seemed to have a lesser load on. He was just obnoxious and his attitude came across that I was lucky to him consider taking my money. Last communication from Mr. Vickers that he was busy on Aug. 8-10, and, he was unable to do my move on the 9th. We never discussed the 9th. 1. When a quote/proposal to provide services is provided, a professional will provide a detailed document showing where my money is being spent. That never happened. 2. I was appalled by his behavior when I said I couldn't afford his price and I changed the scope of work.

Gabriel at first was very professional. And I was extremely transparent in communicating my moving needs. I explained to him up front that I had several large pieces to be moved. Three armoires was the heaviest of pieces in the move. Everything had to be moved from one storage location to another location. All on the ground floor. He sent an employee named Erwin to head the move, an older man a young kid. Erwin moved very little items from the storage unit, he just stayed inside the unit and waited on the other 2 movers. FYI: I hired 3 movers total, not 2. About a hour and half into the move, Erwin got to the armoires that I mentioned to Gabriel about and stop, then I realized why he wasn't helping the other movers. Erwin stated that he couldn't move the armoires because "he had a bad back". So I called Gabriel and ask him "why would you send me a mover with a bad back" and "if Erwin has a bad back, why is he in the moving business?" And the 2 other movers were an older man and a young boy. Gabriel assured me that he would send someone else the next day to finish the move. I explained to him that I was on a time constraint, because I had to move out of the storage by the end of the month. Gabriel promised that he would make things right the next day, because I stressed to him if I hired a new company, I would have to pay another initial fee and truck fee. Gabriel again assured me that he would make things right. But next day he ignored my calls and texts, and I never heard from his company again. I lost over $500 dollars with Houston Supreme Movers because I had to pay another $350 a month in storage rent for not vacating before the first of the month, initial fee and truck fees to hire another moving company. I hired movers for the 3 pieces of furniture I had being too heavy for me to move) Loading the truck with my items took them 2.5hrs, when I was located on the first floor and less then 10ft from where the truck was parked. All the items where in the living room, as I tried to help make the load up a smoother and easier process for the men. For whatever reason this still took them that long to load up. When trying to ask what was taking so long, the men would ignore me. Once it came time for final payment, I was shown the charge, provided my card and signed. I asked if I could get what was just shown to me, I was told that it would be emailed. Then the Hellman quick lit locked his phone and went to the truck. When I received my invoice via email, I noticed the charge was different then what I signed for, when I provided payment. They charged me an additional $294.72, when further looking at the invoice, the time was edited, I was charged for boxes, tape, and shrink wrap (none of which I used, as all my items were packed up, taped, and shrink wrapped by me) and none of this was shown when I provided payment. When reaching out to dispute this, I was told that "all moves are different and can take time due to many different factors". They could only offer a $50 credit. Which is a slap in the face considering how much money they took from me. They stole, edited the document after I signed, and took advantage of me. I strongly believe this was done because I am a single female and the men moving thought they'd be able to take advantage of me. They will not give me back the $291 that they stole from me, because I do not have proof of them editing the time, and not using their tape, boxes, and shrink wrap. Stating that since I have "signed" for it, it is valid. What I signed for when they left to when they edited the invoice are two different thing. I will never use or recommend Great Movers! However, I will tell everyone how they take advantage of single females!!

Unfortunately, Susan had just had surgery and was unavailable, so I got stuck with someone named Theresa instead. Only later did I realize I was being SCAMMED. Do NOT fall for this scam!! This has been a nightmare for me. I work from home (remotely) so informed them that I would be working when the individual arrived and couldn't talk much to her due to that reason. Theresa arrived about 45 min earlier than when she was supposed to--which really inconvenienced me and was very unprofessional I felt as I was busy getting ready for the day at that time. But later I realized this was part of their scam. They keep adding more and more hours to your bill (at $72 per hour--which really adds up in the end) and Theresa moved at literally a snails pace, so ultimately they can keep billing you!! This woman was SOOOO slow!! She literally took 10 hours (I was working the whole time and honestly thought she had left long ago. I was shocked and horrified to find out she was still in my apartment!! I calculated and that would cost me $720.00!! On top of that, she only organized my bedroom closet and the kitchen--which I had not asked her to organize as I had already organized the kitchen. I had instructed her to do the master bath and laundry room which she didn't do AT ALL--but said she'd be back the following day to my horror!! This woman should enter a different line of work as she does not follow instructions and basically is a scam artist. She stayed 10 entire hours and barely accomplished anything!! I moved to Houston from Manhattan and have hired professional organizers there. This is not my first rodeo. However true professional organizers never need more than 2 hours (max 3 hrs)--and that's to organize your ENTIRE HOME!! I had to hire and pay others to finish my move. If owner gets stressed/upset, she yells at clients. She refused to return my landlord's key for ~2 weeks, then some guy showed up with it. She advertises "all female packers", but I'm pretty sure the two big people screaming at me when I was alone in my apartment (very intimidating for a single elderly female), because they were not being paid to work on a Sunday? I'm pretty sure those were guys. Her employees talk badly about her behind her back. Very unprofessional behavior all the way around.
