Came here for an anniversary dinner. We came on a Sunday night so it wasn't too busy. But they let us sit in the back of the restaurant at a booth all my ourselves, it was very romantic. The service was great, and we weren't sure what to order so we asked our server and she had some great suggestions. We had calamari to start with was very nice and also came with a Greek salad. I got their rack of lamb with was so tender really seasoned well. It came with so many sides, pita bread, rice, Greek salad, and potatoes. Hubs got their Spanakopita which is homemade in house, really good! It also came with a bunch of sides. We ended with the honey cake which was really good. A couple days late to post this review ... but I went here on a weekend. With latest restrictions that meant sitting on the patio which was great. They were out of a lot of main course options when I went (sadly no ribeye or sirloin steak), so I settled for the the New York Strip + Veggies. The food came out so quickly I couldn't believe it. Five stars for the absolutely delicious meal we were served as we celebrated our anniversary. We chose to go straight-fire and dive right into our entrees: The 12 ounce rib eye steak and Paidakia (New Zealand lamb). Kudos to the prep crew (I would love to know their marinade recipe) and to the flame master! The meat was tender, flavourful and juicy, cooked exactly as we requested and highlighted with the perfect amount of tasty 'char' on the outside. The sides, which included garlic-mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, carrots and broccoli for the steak; and Greek salad, rice pilaf, lemony potatoes, pita and tzatziki for the lamb, were both colourful and delicious. It was a generous amount of food! We chatted with a couple from the Netherlands seated beside us, they had only three days in Jasper and were dining at Karouzos for the second time in those few days because, "We just had to have the chicken souvlaki and pizza one more time. The souvlaki is better than any we've ever had in Greece! And the pizza..." *chef's kiss* Our server, Shannon, was marvellous. It really makes a meal when all points come together: Delicious and fresh food, excellent service, and a friendly atmosphere. I stopped in here on my first night in Jasper with my mom and husband, and we had a fantastic meal on their makeshift main-street patio. We were reading the menu and another pair of diners motioned to us how much they were enjoying their food, and we were not disappointed. I ordered the chicken souvlaki and it was one of the best I've ever had. The chicken was moist, the lemon potatoes were done just right and the salad had a nice simple olive oil dressing on it. We also got a lot of food for our orders, and were stuffed, along with bringing home leftovers. The service was prompt and friendly, and I will definitely return on my next Jasper visit. read more

This place deserves better review/ratings. We had a very good meal and we didn't feel like they were price gauging us. My husband ordered the prime rib and it was cooked as requested. Not only that it wasn't all fat. I ordered the Greek ribs and they were excellent. I've never had a lemon based sauce/marinade before but I was impressed with the flavor. Walking down the strip, looking for dinner...this place caught our eye! Had the calamari to start - pretty tasty. Definitely enough for 2 and it came with these cool mini forks to eat with. For dinner, we split the chicken souvlaki dinner which came with rice, greek salad, potatoes and lovely tzatziki. The one plate was MORE than enough food to fill the two of us up, so we definitely got a good bang for our buck! Boyfriend and I went here for dinner. We both ordered the french onion soup to start and it was good, so we were looking forward to the rest of our meal. Then came our mains. I ordered the penne pasta with meat sauce and it was sooo salty I didn't even finish 1/4 of the dish. Boyfriend ordered the beef dip. There was zero flavour, and most of the meat was very fatty. There was no difference in taste between the gravy for the fries and au jus. The server was very pushy, and barely gave us any time to look at the menu before asking for our orders, then was pushy once again when I didn't want to take home any of my meal. We waited 15 minutes after pushing our meals aside for her to come to our table, and the restaurant was not busy at all. Definitely not worth the price you pay. read more

Had a great lunch at Karouzos! I don't know what all the other reviews say.. it was very tasty and the service was very friendly and attentive! We got here after a long hike, so hungry as we were, we ordered the Swiss Burger with sweetpatato fries and the Chicken Souvlaki. The Burger was large with a big patty and the sweetpatato fries deeelicious! The Chicken was soo good with great seasoning. Would always come back here again! I realize your choices are limited in this mountain town but this is NOT Greek food as it should be. Please go back to the basic roots of Greece and use real lemons and not some dressing on the Greek Salad. The dressing was atrocious. Use the true olive oil (not what we think here in America is olive oil) and lemon with a little herb. Please, please use real traditional feta from Greece. Surely you can get it in Calgary or Edmonton! Make certain your tomatoes are fresh and not squishy like this one had. The lemon potatoes - not crispy but boiled and the same sauce. I had to drink 4 bottles of water on the drive back from the salt. On a good note, the servers was nice, the chairs for the deck looked great. The calamari was as to be expected - hard to mess that up and the tzatziki sauce - while not traditional was all right. read more

Had an excellent meal here, enjoyed the Greek ribs, they are accompanied with greek salad, lemon potatoes and rice. The meal is more than filling and the ribs were tender with a lemon oregano sauce on them. Very tasty, I followed up with a banana cake and Bailey's and coffee while the cake was good it is a pre-made dessert from a supplier so cannot give a 5 star but atmosphere is relaxed and no pressure from the serving staff. read more

Our experience at Karouzos was amazing. The service was excellent; our waiter was professional and friendly, and our food did not take very long at all. The dishes thenselves were amazing; I had the spicy shrimp and chorizo pasta and my boyfriend had the steak with panko shrimp. The desserts were heavenly too! I was impressed. Came on a busy night in town, most restaurants were booked solid but this one was able to make room for us. Based on other reviews it seemed like Greek was the way to go, so I ordered the Greek ribs and chicken combination and it did not disappoint. I was very impressed that they actually served a real Greek salad, with a block of feta cheese, proper spices, and no lettuce, very rare in North America. Most places serve a westernized version which includes tons of lettuce and bleh Greek dressing. My wife ordered the Thai chicken wings which were also surprisingly good. read more

On a Sunday evening, there weren't many restaurants open, so my boyfriend and I settled on Karouzo's Steakhouse. He ordered the rainbow trout that was the special for the evening and I ordered three appetizers as my entrees: beef barley soup, Thai sweet chili wings, and a small Greek salad. This menu has a really wide variety - jack of all trades and master of none. Three of us dined there after a long backpacking trip and all we wanted was a tasty meal. This was a disappointing choice. The fettuccine Alfredo was bland. The salmon was over-cooked and oily. The potato skin appetizer was tiny in size and not very tasty. Had 2 very different dining experiences at one table. One person ordered the prime rib and enjoyed it. One person ordered the filet which arrived nearly raw in the center. Sent it back and the second steak was tough. Sent it back as well. The two star review is the result of the management. When the bill arrived the steak had been taken off, but a $3.00 charge for sweet potato fries remained. These had been a side with the steak. I inquired if this was an oversight and was told this was what the manager had approved. I didn't have the energy to quibble over $3.00, but this was so petty it guarantees we shan't be returning. read more

We decided on this restaurant for dinner because the advertised prime rib daily and we thought that would be just the right thing for dinner unfortunately they did not have prime rib the day we were there but we were not disappointed in our choices that we had decided on instead. We had mussels for a started and they were the best ones I've had outside of Ireland. The sauce they were cooked in was absolutely amazing and could have just eaten it. I had the 6 oz rib eye for my main and it was perfectly cooked and served with mashed potatoes and vegetables which were excellently cooked. My cousin had the lamb and said it was also delicious and there was way more than she could eat on the plate. The staff were extremely courteous and polite and followed all Covid-19 regulations. They also took our name and phone number and where we were from so we could be contacted by AHS if someone that was there that day ended up testing positive. My family of 5 enjoyed our first meal in Jasper at Karouzos Steakhouse. The menu offered many options and we had steak, spaghetti and meatballs, pizza and chicken alfredo. We also had chicken wings and flat bread for appetizers. The steak was very flavorful and the spaghetti was so good that made me wish I had ordered for my side item. The honey chicken wings were the best I have EVER had! Our Argentine waitress was friendly and very attentive. She recommended a local draft beer that was fabulous! We desert menu was a display of 4 different deserts and we got all 4 and passed them around and they were delicious! The deserts included, key lime pie, apple caramel pie, 2 orders of banana cake w/ cream icing (yes, it was that good) and a chocolate peanut butter pie.
