    Egg noodle w/ duck leg
    Mealinda T.

Food always on point don't expect anything more customer service. It's small and clean and they have a few other Vietnamese baked items like bbq pork steam buns and fried as well. Small and casual mom and pops been coming here on and off for over 14 years but the family that use to run it I haven't seen them the last few times. The lady who runs the front counter is not so friendly if you're not Vietnamese but I'm here for good and cheap food so it is what it is.

Come for breakfast today, Went couple times try sizzling beef, got some to go for dinner. Great food, nice & quick service.

Came here before to pick up dessert drinks (che) for my parents and wanted to come back to try their restaurant for a quick lunch. - Mi Vit Tiem (egg noodle & duck leg) $14.20 - The best thing here! Soup is flavorful and the duck leg is cooked tender. - Hu Tieu Nam Vang (Cambodian style soup with rice noodles) $11.90 - Flavor was lacking and so were toppings. This is however, cheaper than most places in the area. - Ga Hai Nam (Hainanese chicken w/ rice) $11.90 + $2.00 for dark meat - Asked for dark meat and didn't realize there was an extra $2.00 charge since it wasn't mentioned by the waiter or in the menu. For the price, you'd think the portions would be bigger. Chicken is ok and the soup that came with it was bland. The rice was fragrant and had a nice slight ginger flavor. Overall, service was so-so and food came out quickly. Prices are decent for the area, but the food didn't really stand out (besides the egg noodle w/ duck). It looks like they're known for their rice porridge and I may come back to try it. Ambiance is nothing special. It's a bakery / restaurant, so you'll see people come in and out buying their goods while eating. Parking is not the best in the plaza so I can see this place being more of a to-go spot. Cash only establishment.

Growing up, we went here often for their pan fried cakes with eggs and green onions on top. We also got desserts to take home. Came here on a Friday lunch and parking was already busy. They only take cash so come prepared. Food was good and brings back memories.

VERY FAST service, a perfect meal during your lunch break or when you're on a time crunch! Offers in-store seating, fairly small restaurant but there's a lot of parking around! Went on a Saturday afternoon, got seated right away, ordered, and received both of our meals within 5min of ordering! I ordered the Mi XO Hai San, which comes with bean sprouts and soup on the side. Very flavorful but is on the salty side, so the soup on the side with every bite is very necessary! Lot of textures going on, which I love. I'd say this item a MUST TRY, will definitely hit home on a chilly day!

    Wonton Noodle soup dried version.

Beside their porridge, we loved their wonton noodle soup. Parking is not an issue in the morning as we usually visit during breakfast time.

During this gruesome restriction time everybody jacked up the price $2 for a bowl of Pho now $13 so I walked over here to buy my take outs. Their fried dough is the best w radish n taro for $6.95 when everyone else charges $10. Wonton soup only $8.50. Their congee is delicious, their cha siu bao is also the best for $1.75 each. They are very courteous n humble, their bakery goods are good but not available at this time. Come try them, you won't be disappointed.

    Steamed chicken bun

Baked goods around 6 last night, many of it was sold out which is a good thing. The lady in the kitchen was doing something but I wasn't in a rush at all so didn't mind waiting. The interesting thing here was the chicken variations on the baked goods I got instead of the standard pork. Got the pate chaud, steamed buns, and sticky rice all with chicken. Pate.chaud was the best, not too thick with pastry and the chicken was great. My son liked the sticky rice but I wish the sausage was cut larger and there were more. At night time there was a crazy homeless guy ranting outside the door, at first I thought it was an employee on a smoke break but he was saying something in vietnamese and "1982" over and over.

Were told $2.50 a bun, but the bill magically became $3.00 a bun . Once we discovered the diff. the run began... so comical;(

customers need to be careful with the deceiving pricing practice. Customer needs to check the bill before paying. Otherwise you will be told one price, in our case $2.50 a bun and then the bill came out at a different price $3 a bun. Unfortunately for us, we found out we overpaid after we were home, so we called back, then we got the run around on pricing. First was told $2.50, then when we mentioned we were charged $3, the deceiving run around began. The difference in our case is only $6, it is not life and death, but... All in all, no matter how good the food is, we won't be back to support such a deceiving business practice. There is a lot other food choices!

pork sung bun, golden ratio of pork sung, butter and green onions. The best!!

This is my husband's favorite bakery in OC specifically for their pork floss banh mi. So good, it's a brioche like bun with spring onions, butter and lots of moist pork sung. We usually get a big bag of just these to bring back up north on our way home....often they don't survive the trip. Their moon cakes and soups also always look good but we usually just come for the buns. The bakery was renovated a few years ago with a much larger display and is very neat and has several tables to grab a bit for lunch. Cafe sua da is also v good here. Parking is some of the worst in OC. There's a tiny lot with about 4 spots or you can park illegally in the lot next door.

In Mexican culture we call them "pastel de mil hojas" which translates to a thousand sheet cake. I am a huuuuge fan of thousand sheet cake. After my husband birthday cake was a bust, we came here and were so glad we did. This is truly one of the best thousand sheet cakes we've ever had. We were taken a little back by what it looked like inside. There are lots of plants and we didn't seen any display of cakes. There was a family just standing there and we saw an older woman cutting strawberries. We were helped and were able to pay with a credit card. We ordered the 1/4 sheet cake and paid $45 which is more than fair. The cake is layered with cake, the thousand sheets, whipped topping, and a variety of fresh fruit. It is honestly so delicious and looks beautiful. They can also add a "happy birthday" for you if you'd like. The cake came in a box and with a disposable/plastic cake knife. Overall, I am super happy with my purchase and will return!

Pro tip: Their storefront looks like a flower shop between the corner bakery and grocery store. Great job cake lady!

I think they also do non-vegetarian banh mi etc. as well, but things are pretty clearly marked. The ladies at the shop were really friendly and even offered me a sample of the "fried chicken" (which is oyster mushrooms in a fried chicken style batter, fried to crispy perfection), and if I weren't already getting banh mi and a box of pastries, I would have gotten that as well! All of the pastries we got, sweet or savory, were also really good, but I think the savory ones were my favorites because they're different from what I can find in my area. My non-veg husband really liked the "ham & cheese" croissant, which I think was probably his favorite. We both got the "combination" banh mi, and they were very fresh tasting! There were a lot more things I wanted to try, but we were only going to be in Anaheim for three days and I wasn't sure I would feel super safe taking a Lyft out to a random small shopping plaza in an area I don't know on my own (we went right after we checked into the hotel, so before my husband's conference started). The plaza itself is busy and seems like it's been there for a while, and is something of a contrast to the clean and relatively modern/new interior of the bakery. The bakery doesn't actually have any seating etc., so it seems the expectation is that everything is to go, but after our flight had been delayed twice, we were pretty hungry and ate the banh mi by the entrance. There doesn't seem to be a good place for them to have seating, so I can't imagine that will change anytime soon. Overall, if I ever find myself in the area again I will definitely be trying to come back!
