    Pad Thai
    Christopher T.

Thai foods to go only, and CASH only. This place has been around for long long time and we ordered here for family gardening events. The foods are good, tasty and yummy. The menu is limited but just basic popular Thai dishes (noodles, rices, salads, and desserts). Prices are good and service is nice. The place is small but clean abs smell off all the cook goods when entered. Always enjoy the foods and service here. Ordered in advance would be highly recommended so easy and quick or you will have to wait for 7-10mins depending on how busy they are.

the portions were bigger than i expected and great for the price. service was nice and easy, but they only accept cash

Papaya salad with crab (it's salted fermented crab)

This is a to go only spot. My go to place for papaya salad. The portions are very generous with all orders and they have remained fairly priced over the years. Service is sometimes questionable but nevertheless straight forward. I believe they are cash only!!

    Medium size -shrimp fried rice

Ordered a Shrimps Fried rice party tray (medium size) on 12/7/24 for pick up at 10:30AM. I came there at 10:20AM and the front lady told me to wait and then say something in Thai to the male chef to start cooking. Then after she handed me the tray neatly pack. The fried rice was just ok, nothing to rave about to be it needs more basil leaves. They only put like 7 leaves on top of the trays. The rice is lack of flavor... heard from most of my guests. The SHRIMPS however were over cooked and NO FLAVOR and mushy. Per previous Yelp review the shrimps are more plumb and juicy. The one we ordered toda tastes like boiled shrimps just mix in with the rice. They charge extra $5 for adding shrimps when ordering for party tray. I'm not sure I'll be back to try any other dish because I feel like the quality of the food is not there.

First thing first! When you're here, it's just simply good and AFFORDABLE Thai food that has been here forever that many of us grew up with. Despite moans and groans of inflation, they managed to keep their menu reasonably priced. Green curry is divine and a must-have for the weekend. Of course, you can't go wrong with any of their papaya salad that is wickedly spicy. Don't forget to grab their noodles -- but pad kee mow is still my all time fave! For their good food, cheap price, I'll put up with any bad customer service that many yelpers have lament about endlessly lol.

    * CASH ONLY * went here with my wonderful, gorgeous, drop dead, wow, model, amazing, 10/10, girlfriend aka my future wife. i was reading the previous reviews about the kid's lack of customer service and rudeness in the front desk. I'd like to add that there's clearly a language barrier. A language barrier can make it challenging to understand someone, and this difficulty can sometimes be mistaken for rudeness. we should strive to be more empathetic and more understanding. like bro, come on.. 7/10 on the pad thai! it comes out really hot and quick!! the price for the food here! personally, me and my gf had better pad thai... it could have more flavor but FOR THE PRICE??? pretty good and the portions are good as well. I believe it was $7-8 for 1 pad thai. SUPER DUPER AFFORDABLE. This place is perfect if you you are looking to grab something quick, cheap, and to-go. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. Every dish you purchase, you can add on a $1 THAI TEA or THAI TEA COFFEE. The thai tea is really really sweet. No seating inside. It's near Kung Fu Tea.

Got their chowmein combo and spicy thai fried rice combo. Food her was very delicious! All the flavors were there and love how affordable the portions are. However, service could be better because I felt kind of pressured while choosing my order. The owner's son I believe could be a little more friendlier.

the pad kee mao is insane and they got a small 1 dollar Thai tea best pad kee mao in North America

Stuffed coconut filling balls with shredded coconut on the out side. These're 8 for $3 the best in the OC.

Base on my review is about Thai desserts. This is my first time @ Bangkok Pai. The stuffed coconut balls are the best they're my favorite texture on the outside is soft the coconut filling on the inside is not very sweet just perfect for my liking. The Thai pandan flavor layer dessert is pretty good but I can't taste any pandan flavor at all. The lady owner is very nice the son is nice too he answered every questions I had without giving me attitude. I'm looking forward to see what other desserts they have to offer on my next visit. I'm a Thai dessert lover.

We shared a variety of dishes: -Papaya Salad: A Lao style papaya salad. Super flavorful, crisp, and fresh. Honestly great just eating it on its own. I also liked the raw crab in it which was nice to suck on. -Lao Sausage: Meaty and good. I liked how the flavor wasn't too strong and offputting. The sauce it came with was good, but a bit hard to dip in. This paired well with the sticky rice. -Crispy Fried Rice (Nam Kao Tod): Super unique dish! I liked folding the crispy rice with sour pork bits into the lettuce wraps which was fresh, crispy, and texture heaven. While the food was solid, I did think the prices were on the higher side for the area. It might be because of the ingredients if I had to take a guess. The service here was pretty good. They have ample parking spots in front of the restaurant in the lot.

Thanks yelp for helping us find this place close to home…read more Clearly, we were very hungry as we ordered for enough for four people, but there was just two of us. The people in staff were very friendly. We met the owner there and she was super nice and shared her experience about her elephant café in Lake Forest. Here are my favorite foods in order. Tom Yum Chicken sautee Red curry Beef basil Pad see ew This place isn't busy. It is hard to compete against all the other restaurants in this little center. It is hidden behind the Fortune Mall, but I think once people start figuring out how authentic their food is, it may blow up, but I hope it is not a really saturated by all the other Vietnamese neighbors. Everything cost right around $100 including dessert which I think is All at really reasonable price points. Good luck we will be back.

We notice she had the same mini trader joe bag and started talking to her about the next release drop coming soon. The interior is clean and roomy. It wasn't that busy that night, so we got seated quickly. We ordered the Pad Thai, Papaya Salad, and lastly the Tom Yum soup. We got spicy for all of them. If you don't, the flavor profile will not be hitting. Traditionally you gotta eat it spicy! The papaya salad was good and the Pad Thai noodles portion was pretty small for family style. My favorite dish was the Tom Yum for sure. It tastes very authentic and I love how they put a lot of mushroom in the soup. The spicy and savoriness was well balanced. If it's a little salty, eat it with rice. Makes a good combo! At the very end, we were very full and we had to Togo the soup. Would definitely come back again to try other dishes like the Crying Tiger and chicken curry.

I finally got to try some via delivery, ordered straight from their website. We waited in the comfort of a couch for something that took 20-30 minutes past the eta and the food arrived with no napkins or utensils. What was great is nothing spilled and our orders were correct. As for the food, we are more disappointed as vegetarians than meat eaters, I'm sure it'd been a much different mouth experience. But the eggplant in the green curry was weird and the tofu in the curry and soups are lazy and soft. Cubed out of the package and thrown into the soups. The crispy tofus in the pad Thai were somehow too tiny, baffling and not mind blowing. Anyhow.. the crazy wait time does not equate to how the food tasted but maybe opening a second location will help. But their signature curry noodle soup with the crispy fried noodle in addition is pretty addictive fresh. Cause who doesn't love a nest of crispy noodle soaking up Thai curry?! Other than that I don't care how full I am, I'm not lining up here for 45 minutes just to get hungry.
