Food is just ok, service slow, ambiance is ok but everything are so dirty dirty dirty. Omg, this place does NOT know how to clean. See pictures for more details

Ordered pick up for my growing 16 year-old son who decided he wanted to eat dim sum at 9 AM This is a POV from a 16-year-old He said the food is "slapping". This restaurant I think has newly introduced their dim sum menu. Buy three items got the chicken wings free, which is pretty reasonable. $21 for everything shown. Located in a small strip mall where there is an Asian grocery store and this place is nothing fancy. Maybe I will try back to come back for other things.

TLDR: It's one of those restaurant that will feel you and nothing else. The food is fine, decent even. It's just not a place I'd be looking forward to go back to unless they have a deal that I can't pass up. Chicken pho: Middle of the pack pho that have generous portions. I'm not a big fan of the fried scallions, but I understand their importance in flavoring the meal altogether. There was enough broth for 2 meals if you ration it, and the quality stayed the same even after reheating. Ground pork w/ Egg Noodles: My preferred dish between the 2 that I got. The egg noodles were cooked very well and the ground pork topping paired with it quite nicely. The pork was seasoned well, and the sauce made sure that the meal tasted the same the entire way. I would've liked it more if there was 10-15% more, but those are probably their margins. Service: I ordered to go, so there's not much to talk about here. Ambiance: Classic Garden Grove/Westminster vibe. Lights that haven't been changed in a decade. Posters of food that haven't been changed since opening, and a design that looked stuck in the early 2000s. I'm here for the food, not for the ambiance.

Service was great. Staff explained menu item. We didn't have to wait long for the food to come out. The food was very tasty. We also ordered sugar cane juice with calamansi. Juice was good. We ordered pork bones soup with noodles. This came with mizuno & bean sprouts. Vietnamese Pork Meatballs with baguette. The soup was so delicious, the kind of taste that makes you want to keep eating even though you're full. As the restaurant is in a shopping center, there is ample parking.

I found this place on the Too Good To Go app and the availability for a good lunch was there, I reserved one for me. Very friendly face greeted me and showed the app and waited patiently. Cozy atmosphere throughout the restaurant. I received a beef fried rice and deliciously flavored fried chicken + a lemonade! Would like to stop by again and try their Vietnamese Street Food. The pictures looked delicious and scrumptious. Will be back!

In a strip mall corner with plenty of parking. Location has a large menu - a plus with dim sum Plates were a good size and pleasant for the price

Chicken wings, soup dumplings, bbq pork buns shrimp tofu. All great!

Had lunch and it was very delicious. We had their dim sum and it was flavorful. Their chicken wings really stood out the most and it was free with 3 dim sum order. Price was reasonable.

I got the fried wings, and garlic rice

This was super delicious, the service was great and the ambiance was very lively! Would come back again

In one word this place was pretty blah...I ordered two things, their Xiu Mai and the fried dumplings . Both items you can tell were frozen and the xiu mai had a weird smell when it got to my table. Classic Vietnamese service, bring out your food and then never seeing them again. On top of that each item were $6.25 each, I could have easily gone to Sefood Cove or Seafood Paradise for better dim sum and service.

Went here many times before Covid time and after that couple time. Good taste noodles here I did review here but no see my review now, come back this time decorate a little change, light up but the noodles taste was different before a little. The wonton sate a little cold inside the meat not taste. Service ok .

I tried out this place today. Third time was a charm, twice before I came to check it out and it was closed both times. First impression, the condiment jars looked dirty and unappetizing. I ordered a bowl of Hu Tieu Nam Vang and another order of bowl of Wonton Satay. I found a strand of black hair while digging through the bowl of noodle with my chopsticks, so I alerted the server to replace me another one. She was happy to oblige. My new bowl was free of hair, but the bowl of wonton satay didn't have any sate in it. I didn't want to say anything anymore and tried to eat the food. There was nothing great about the soup. It was just standard Hu Tieu Nam Vang flavor. I went to pay and was on my way. I don't think I will come back.

Hu tieu special dry w/ hot tea.

Mai Phat still exceeded them! It has since become our go-to lunch spot, as well as a local favorite for my wife's family. They specialize in egg noodles - served either dry (with broth and main protein on the side) or wet like a conventional soup bowl. My personal go-to is the dry mì sủi cảo - egg noodles with sliced / ground pork, huge wonton dumplings, a shrimp cracker, and broth on the side. The wontons come in a super rich and delicious sauce that I actually got scolded for pouring over my noodles lol. The light and clear broth is very refreshing and well-seasoned. Excellent mix of perfectly balanced flavors from every component. Add chili crisp for extra oomph. My wife loves the mì gà quay - fried chicken leg & thigh with the signature egg noodles. This is honestly one of the most perfectly seasoned and cooked fried chicken I've ever had, and I've had a LOT of fried chicken. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive Highly recommend Mai Phat for hearty, expertly crafted, and relatively guilt free Vietnamese comfort food

We waited probably around 15 minutes and there were about two or three other parties before us. Be sure to sign in on the notepad. There are a few plastic stools in the front. While you're waiting, they will take your order to add it to the queue for the kitchen. When our turn was up, we were seated at small table for two. I noticed another gentleman by himself at a table for four people. Hmmmm. Anyhow, there were about five tables total inside or maybe six. It was very warm inside since there is no AC. This is a type of life where you eat and leave as quickly because it's a no-frills no ambience type of place. That's fine with me except it was pretty hot. They charge you a dollar for a little tiny paper cup of water. I ordered the number one since this is their specialty or what they're known for. My mom had the bun thit nuong cha gio. My noodle soup had a good amount of crab pieces and shrimp. It seemed like there was not a lot of noodles though. I thought the broth was a little bland. I guess I'm just not a big fan of this type of soup. If there is a next time, I'll try the bun rieu. My mother was not that crazy about her dish. She said she didn't really like the egg rolls that much. For the price, the wait and the taste of the food, I likely will not be returning when there are so many other places in the area. I try to support various mom and pop restaurants, but for the previous stated reasons, I don't think we'll be back.

Portions seem a bit smaller than the San Gabriel and Rosemead location but it gets the job done and I am pretty full after the meal. They have so many other options on the menu like chow fun, hainan chicken, and a ton of other noodle soup dishes. The last two times I came here was on a weekday during lunch so there was plenty of parking. However, I'm sure it gets packed on the weekend since it is located right next to the Asian Garden Mall. All tax is included in the price so there's no additional sales tax line item. Also! They charge 50 cents for water.. other locations do not. I was surprised but oh well.

The restaurant was not busy at all, nice and quiet, great service of course since it wasn't busy. I ordered grandma's dry egg noodles and they have one of the best dry noodles I've ever had since moving to OC. They put the perfect amount of sauce, some places don't have enough sauce for the noodles. Also had plenty of protein. I added an order of wonton's which is an additional charge but well worth it. The broth on the side is so refreshing! What I love most is that this restaurant is still very affordable, $10.99 for a bowl of dry noodles is amazing. Definitely a returning customer!

I picked the Sò Lông Nướng Mỡ Hành & it was really good. But then I felt something hard when I was chewing & I think I chipped part of my tooth - I'm going to go home & have my boyfriend check it for me & I'll attach the photo of my chipped tooth. Anyway, I have a crown cap so I wasn't super alarmed, but still a bit shook. I still finished my food but I politely tried to let one of the cashiers know. I showed him & everything & he was apologetic & asked what they could do to fix the situation. So I asked for a refund. And the other cashier said in Vietnamese something about me, like "Con nhỏ này" & I thought maybe he's talking about something else-but then when he gave me the receipt of my refund, he said "and I don't want you to be a customer here anymore." I was very appalled and I stood there wondering if he really just said that to me after I had an experience. I asked him why he didn't want me to be a customer anymore. And he turns to a customer to ring them out, ignoring me. So I waited til he was done with that transaction & repeated my question. He flat out said "because you're annoying." WOW. That's just so rude. And unfortunate bc I thought the food was really good & wanted to come back for the clam & the sweet corn milk. So I definitely wouldn't want to be a customer anyways with that kind of attitude towards a customer. Btw they give you plastic utensils here even for dining in which is a con.
