I finally got to try this place out after having it bookmarked for sooo long!! This is your local mom & pop shop in Pleasanton. It's located in a plaza so there is parking available in a lot. It's a small shop and has a very homey feel, like you're in someone's home kitchen (with all the decor too). I went on a mid-Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy, so I got my drink within 5 minutes. The woman behind the counter (which I assume is the owner) is super nice. I tried the honeycomb latte. At first sip, it tasted like a regular sweet honey latte. After the ice melted a little and crushing up some of the honeycomb at the top, the drink tasted really good!! The honeycomb flavor blended nicely with the strong coffee taste, and it was nice to get some honeycomb chunks in my sips. If you're interested, I'd recommend trying this place out. read more

was super excited to try this spot but was so disappointed. i ordered a jasmine milk tea and we went to the mall nearby. after having drank a couple sips of it, i noticed something floating in my drink. i genuinely thought maybe it could be a jasmine flower but it started looking more like a bug. to my surprise, it was indeed an ant. i was with four others who also got a drink and unfortunately, my sister's kamo matcha also had an ant floating. the drink itself wasn't that great, there was a hint of jasmine but overall it didn't taste strong enough for my liking. i didn't even finish the rest of my drink nor did my sister because of the ant. we don't even know if the other drinks had ants. won't be coming back unfortunately just with how unsanitary it was to experience that. read more

A small mom & pop place where I've only seen 1 lady working. And despite the first visit only having 1 other couple, she seemed pretty busy and even forgot to charge us. Her coffee station is also pretty messy. She's very nice though. Drinks: - Hong Kong Milk Tea: nice, strong tea flavor - Strawberry Matcha Latte: fresh strawberries, which was a nice touch. Decent matcha flavor. - Einspanner: my husband didn't enjoy this. It came in a dome lid & straw so you couldn't really get the cream plus the espresso together in one sip. It was also filled too high to remove the lid in order to sip it from the top. He felt like the flavors weren't balanced because of this. This is on the sweeter side, so I definitely only recommend this if you like sweet coffees. The coffee is strong and there are crunchy bits on top that taste so good. - Roasted Matcha Rice Latte: 5/5 I lovee that they have a roasted rice matcha! I haven't been able to find this anywhere else, and the roasty-ness is just very unique. I do think this is an acquired taste for some people, but they hand whisk the matcha here which is a huge plus. - Ham and Cheese Croissant: 3/5 Just an average ham and cheese croissant. Not bad, but not amazing. They also have dairy milk alternatives for their drinks, so I always get oat milk! Service: There is a very sweet woman that is always there when I go! The food/drinks come out pretty quickly depending on how busy it is. I think she normally makes all the drinks herself, so there is sometimes a small wait when there are a lot of people. It's nice they have small (smaller than average) drink size and organic options, but it was okay. Felt very homemade. They put the honeycomb was homemade, but I couldn't taste the honey. It was good though, but I was expecting actual honey flavor. The small honeycomb latte is like size for a kid less than 8 or so. At least, I don't have to worry about not sleeping at night. I got the kids a strawberry milk to share, and she gave me a cup so I could split it myself for free at least. I didn't get to try it though. Ambiance is cool because it feels legit Japanese. I was only three minutes away from Kamurocho so I decided on this instead of visiting other well known boba shops that I knew were good already. Seeing the good ratings, I went in without having much expectations and boy did I have regrets. I ordered the honeycomb latte and matcha rice latte with boba and the drinks were overly sweet and not good. The boba was overcooked and super mushy so that was disgusting. I got jipped because the lady kept selling me on the $6 beef patty saying how people don't come in for it, but once they get it, they love it. I have no idea why I was expecting a Japanese hamburg, instead I got the empanadas that you get from Costco. I also ordered the ham and cheese croissant and once I saw the empanadas, I knew it would be the freezer ham and cheese croissants sold at Costco and I was right. I felt like the lady lied to me and was quite disappointed to be ordering something that I could have gotten from Costco at a better price. She also tried to sell me on the mochi and egg sandwich(which was sitting out and not refrigerated). During my hour commute, I didn't even finish my drink or eat the ham and cheese croissant. Small little shop near the junction of the 580 and 680, lies this green tea cafe that has taken my heart. From the looks not you wouldn't expect much, even when we got there, it wasn't too busy, that changed directly after we ordered. We needed our caffeine fix and were told to try this place out for their matcha. It did not disappoint. The little lady running the store was so sweet and very patient with my group was we were trying to decide our orders. All drinks made to order, nothing premade, maybe with the exception of their purées, but wow, delicious, earthy, and just satisfying drinks. I got the hojicha latte. It had the the right amount of roasted flavor and was not overpowering at all. Thoroughly enjoyed, and although unsweetened, it still gave for a nice afternoon treat. My partner got the strawberry matcha, the strawberry was great, chunks in stead of bits, in the puree, and it was honestly aesthetically pleasing once the matcha was added. We all got something different, my partner's cousin ordered a mango matcha, but I believe the server misheard and only brought out a mango milk, she was able to adjust and add matcha to float on top and it was still tasty.
