Really good poke bowl, but cost $15 and it was only like 3/4 full. If it was $10-11 it would've made more sense given how it wasn't a big size. Just adding more rice and vegetables would've filled the bowl size and is cheap to do. read more

One of our new favorite spots! I love ramen and was hoping for something local in wethersfield. I've tried a few different ramen bowls at this point but mine (and my husbands) favorite is the beef ramen. That one has the best flavor. I tried one where it had a bunch of different mushrooms in it and I had to pick out this one type because I didn't like the texture. But the flavor was there! I also had a bubble tea for my 'dessert' and it was delish. I'd highly recommend!! read more

We stopped here tonight on a ride home from NY and were so glad we did. The food was delicious and Allison our server was the sweetest! They made a kids bowl of soup for our kids and they loved it! My husband and I split the tuna poke bowl and a Tokyo chicken soup. They were both fabulous, but the soup was on the must have list! So flavorful and delicious!! read more

Great food and excellent service. My son took me here for dinner and it was my first visit, but not for him. I ordered the Kaliubon Ramen and the Pork Bao and it was so delicious. Everything was fresh and with bold flavors. I ate everything on my plate and thought about ordering a second order of pork bao, but decided not to as I plan to bring my husband and niece here for dinner. This is a great local Ramen place for quick bites take out or dine in dates. Their appetizers are always amazing and the ramen is comfort food at the best. Their bar can be hit or miss (sometimes too much sugar, sometimes the alcohol is very very generous), but honestly I don't care when I'm shoving noodles in my face. The wait staff is attentive and friendly, and the kitchen is fast. I haven't tried a lot of the local ramen places, but honestly why bother with this 5-star place around the corner. read more

My meal was horrible but it was extremely busy. I spent 14 on the bowl 1 app combo (staff pointed out that my option, explaining that my ordee might be too much food). I ordered the pork belly bowl with the lamb bal or ball or bai; I can't remember the name but it is ubiquitously described amongst reviewers. The lamb thingy lived up to its billing and it was much more in terms of volume than a bite. The bowl sucked. My first bite set the tone. To wit, I happened to select the one [of four] toughest slices of pork belly in the bowl. Lots of chewing ... the other slices if thin, were nicely textured and tasty. The rest of the bowl had promise...the noodles were perfectly cooked and were likely the carriage of the cook water that diluted a promising looking bowl's contents. I think the cooking strainer needed a few more shakes. Everything else in the bowl was bland or tasteless. Why three stars instead of one? It was 14 bucks and I think my experience was unusual...I will try it again and report. read more

The pork bao was really good, the ramen was great but a little too spicy for me - I would order it again and just ask for it less spicy. Overall a great new spot for the area! read more

My daughter and I stopped in this past week, and were totally delighted! Not only was the staff friendly, helpful, and courteous, the food was nothing short of outstanding. I had a poke bowl, and my daughter had ramen, which she has eaten in Boston, New Haven, and London (UK). She was immediately impressed by the house-made noodles, and the flavors were top-notch in both our meals. She was also very happy with the perfectly-made bubble tea. I've been looking for a good ramen place in Northeastern/Central CT, and I've finally found my spot! My boyfriend and I sat at the bar-great decor and atmosphere. We shared the Brussels Sprouts Salad, Pork Bao, and Kaliubon Ramen. I recommend all 3. The Brussels sprouts were incredible and the ramen was hot, a little spicy, and absolutely delicious. First time trying this exciting new jewel on Silas Deane in Wethersfield. The decor is upscale and the service top notch. Ask for Sam. He is helpful and engaging - - I assumed he had been in food service for a while because he is already a master at his craft. He recommended several items that were excellent, and even complimented me on my brave choice for a first time visit. He told me after he was impressed with my choice. The food was divine. We each tried a different dish - - SO I would say everything on the menu is probably excellent. We can't wait to come back..this restaurant is on the top of our list. The inside is a little small but decorated well. We got the cucumber peanut appetizer which was SUPER good, highly recommend. When I dined they still had not created a vegetable based broth, but the waiter accommodated me and offered a solution for a meat-free option which was great. (I believe they have created the vegetable broth Pho at this point). I ended up loving the meal. It is deceiving because the bowl looks like a reasonable size but there is actually a lot of food in it!! I think the prices are reasonable for the quality and size of meal. I love Kaliubon Ramen. I went here for my birthday dinner. For appetizers my dad got the spicy dumplings. And I shared the non-spicy dumplings with my mom. The spicy dumplings have a kick of spice. These dumplings are filled with some scallions and meat all pressed into the dumpling wrappers and topped with greens and tomatoes. The other appetizer was the pork bao that was cucumber, carrots, daikon, scallions, and Hoisin BBQ sauce over pork. That was so good. The appetizers were amazing. Now for the main courses, so, I got the TanTan poke bowl that has some ground pork, cucumber, scallions, cilantro, peanuts, corn, a sunny side up egg, and some onion. I got that over rice noodles. That was amazing. My dad got the weekend special the pho. My grandmother got this as well. My grandmother ordered the non-spicy pho, and my dad ordered the spicy pho. My dad ended up getting my grandmother's pho, and my grandmother ended up getting my dad's spicy pho. So my grandmother turned out felling fine. Over all that was the best ramen I've ever had in my life. I would definitely go back sometime. read more
