Second visit here and things have only gotten better! The ramen was very good- the broth had a much fuller taste than it did the last time we were here. The noodles were pleasantly chewy and the toppings were tasty! I especially enjoyed the charshu and spinach toppings. The perfectly cooked egg was also delicious. Looking forward to my third visit here in the coming months!

Not a fan.. our first clue should have been there was only one other couple in there addition to our group of four on a Saturday night. The person serving us was friendly and accommodating, however there was nothing special about the food. Everything was either bland or tasted off. We got Ramen, fried rice, beef and noodle dish, and wonton soup. The broth was not good according to two members of our party. More spice was needed in the ramen. We felt bad for wasting food but it wasn't good enough to save. Maybe we caught them on an off night?

Great food! Very quiet but great spot on main street. Absolutely fantastic service, and quick food.

Solid choice for a quick friendly ramen. Nice service and server. Nothing really remarkable though about the food. Seemed pre-prepared and warmed up. Not so fresh. And the sense of msg all over the tongue for hours afterwards. If that's your thing, then a good choice for a quick ramen bowl.

First time trying takeout and their Ramen. The broth is really tasty and I liked that that the noodles were not over cooked. However, the soft boiled egg didn't seem fresh. The whites of the egg were a grayish color. Everything was just okay. I really wanted to love it, but no so much!

minced pork and spinach rice noodle ramen with egg

I just made my second visit here and ordered same dish as last time. This time was a big disappointment!! The minced pork was precooked and stored in refrigerator and then just put into the ramen broth without adequately heating it through. Similarly, the halved boiled egg was green and cold. Yuk! I brought my dismay to the attention of the waitress and she first said it was how they "always" made it! I told her that it wasn't like this on my first visit and furthermore - it was unhealthy to not thoroughly reheat a refrigerated precooked meat product. So, then she went into a tizzy and said she would remake it for me and spent the next 15 minutes screeching at the kitchen staff in whatever language it is that they speak. It was all very unsettling - and although the remade dish was good - I was too upset to really enjoy it. I don't like eating when I'm upset. Really, not sure if I'll ever go back! Too bad- I thought it was a nice find on my first visit!

This one hurts, I don't like writing bad reviews. If you've had ramen before and you know how to eat it. Do not go to this place, you will be disappointed. I ordered the Spicy miso; which had no flavor. First time I can say I've had ramen with a bunch of lettuce and cabbage. I felt like my bowl was filled with only lettuce or cabbage. The broth had a small hint of flavor but nothing that has me craving for me. The service wasn't great but it wasn't bad. The ramen bowl was not the worst I've had. I've definitely had much worse. However I will definitely not be returning there for ramen. I also had two buns the chicken and pork. Again filled with lettuce haha. The chicken was probably the best one. Honestly for $30 I don't think this place was worth it. I've been craving ramen for awhile but all the good places are far from me. I was hoping this was going to fill that gap. If I didn't get the chicken bun I would rate this place two stars.

I had the chicken broth Ramen and I added a half boiled egg. The egg added a nice richness to the soup. The soup had seaweed that also gave a nice touch. The soup was bland along with chicken, so if your looking for a mild soup, this was it. They gave you 4 chunks of chicken and plenty of noodles . I also tried the Edamame beans. They were tender but firm and warm. The salt from the shell gave it a nice flavor. I thought they were a little pricey, but they gave you quite a bit. There is only street metered parking, which was a pain.

Came here for a lunch pit stop during our drive to NY. Their ramen is OK, but nothing to rave home about. (-) Tonkotsu ramen fans, their broth is a no go. For those who want more pork slices without having to add it as an extra, go for their chashu ramen. The broth is the same as their tonkotsu ramen. The broth was one of the blandest ever. It felt more like a paitan chicken ramen broth vs. a true pork broth. While it was a cloudy broth, it was not milky in true tonkotsu fashion. It was not even salty or porky. Just bland. (+) Their spicy miso ramen was better. It was rich in miso flavor especially towards the bottom of the bowl with a slight spicy kick. I know it's much better when my husband doesn't even want to switch bowls with your tonkotsu. There are a lot of vegetables in this ramen, which is their own spin. With all the veggies, it felt like a Champon ramen (sliced carrots, cabbage, spinach, corn). (-) Takoyaki was clearly from the freezer. Center filling is liquidy and luke warm. (-) Eggs are not included in your ramen. (+) They mastered the onsen half cooked egg. (+) Thickness and quality of their ramen noodle was very good. Al dante. (+) A large investment was spent on making the interior modern and contemporary. This was honestly one of their attraction factors for us in addition to their legit looking ramen menu. For a ramen establishment set up in a local town in CT, we knew better than to come with high expectations. It is better than nothing.

    Very pretty looking restaurant!

I simply cannot imagine ordering anything other than their Curry Ramen bowl from this point forward. Like one would legitimately be insane not to get it, provided you are an average fan of standard Thai-style curries like Red, Panang, or even Las Vegas style Three-color (Red+Green+Yellow). My suggested mod: Ask for your home-crafted noodles a little extra "QQ" or chewy al dente. And ask for a side of their home-made chili oil to step up the Szechuan influence. Normally I shun the fusion or "new-style" menu items, but this Curry Ramen bowl is stuff of dreams. Perfectly executed, temperature hot, unforgettably umami, and the exact drinkable curry broth viscosity that is no accident. This bowl is a champion, folks!

The space itself is clean and modern. I appreciated being able to see the kitchen area and the bar setup; everything looked organized and well run. The booth seating was comfortable, and overall it felt like a great spot for a casual lunch or relaxed dinner. Definitely a place I'd come back to.

We came on a Friday evening and it was full but they were able to find us a table quickly. Inside, the place has a very casual feel and I honestly wasn't sure what we were going to get when we ordered. Just to say, looks were deceiving, but in a good way! The food was at a different (better) level than the ambience in the room. Basically, don't worry about how the place looks - you will love the food. Our waitress was sooo nice and friendly. We got our drinks quickly and ordered right away. Though we came for sushi, we were all mesmerized by the entree options and opted to try the bento boxes. I'm used to small bento boxes with tightly portioned foods and the "basics." What we got surprised us all. These bento boxes were actually huge plates of food. A full order of vegetable tempura, a whole California roll, entree, soup and gyoza. We barely made it through a quarter of it! And it was delicious! I got the chicken teriyaki and the chicken was so tender. The tempura was fried perfectly and the gyoza had a great flavor. All in all, I recommend you try this place out! I forget which.) Being CCSU s spring break, there wasn't much going on. That is, we saw a few pickups and DoorDash orders, but we had the full restaurant to ourselves. The waitress was quick, but the to-go orders left us waiting (totally normal, not a complaint.) First, the good: the ramen is a sizable portion. You can tell it's all made from scratch. It's not the saltiest thing you'll ever eat. The spicy is actually spicy, if you mix in all the chili paste they leave resting on the fish cake. I grabbed my chopsticks and dug in, and I was glad I got the $3.50 milk tea on the side (you get it for cheap with a bowl), though I found it very sweet. The pork in my ramen was crispy on the sliver of crust, and the rest was cooked to perfection. Many other places can do it like that, but if they'd messed that up, they'd lose some points. The bad is a very short list. Our ramen had vermicelli or angel hair instead of, you know, ramen noodles. Maybe that's their thing? All in all, a soup place next to the up-the-hill dorms is just what I needed decades ago. I'm rarely up that way these days, but I'd totally stop here even in the summer.

We sat down and ordered the iron man roll, so ramen roll, house ramen and Shabu Shabu beef ramen. It took about 20-39 mins for the food to come out but I believe there is just one cook working. The rolls were delicious and I really like their So Ramen roll. It was creamy and crunchy. My house ramen was also really good and I enjoyed it. My fiancé thought his ramen was a bit bland. But that might just be his opinion on ramen overall. Each item runs about $14 to $20 each. So a meal for 2 can run you about at minimum $40. Overall we enjoyed our time here and would come back.
