SO GOOD! I just moved here from california where ramen is very popular. I was nervous I wasn't going to be able to find good ramen here until I came across this place. Their service is amazing, our waiter was very nice and welcoming and helpful with our questions. We got the garlic edamame and tonkotsu ramen. Both were absolutely delicious!! We also got boba which is amazing! My boyfriend got the coconut milk tea and I got the mango milk tea. Definitely coming back and bringing friends. read more

My boyfriend and I were seated immediately, we looked over the menu and we waited... for 25 minutes. Normally, we would leave if we had to wait that long for someone's attention but it was my boyfriend's birthday and we really wanted to give this place a try. So he got up and told the hostess our waiter never came to us. The hostess notified one of the waiters, and another waiter came and said there was a confusion on whose table we were seated in. So these waitresses saw we were sitting there, walked passed us and no one bothered to ask if we'd be taken care of or figured out whose table we belonged to. They just took care of everyone else except our table. Alright, so here goes the food review. Let's just say the pictures look better than the taste. Garlic soy chicken wings was hot, crunchy and SO salty. The middle of the wing tasted like bland chicken and the outside was so salty. Neither of us wanted to finish them because they were that salty. The pork baos had this flabby piece of pork in it and the bao came out cold! A cold bao! I can't get over it, a cold bao is a sin. On the other hand the ramen came and it was hot. I mean like burn your tongue even if you blew on it on hot. Beware of the temperature of the soup you will burn your mouth! The temperature was so hot that midway of me eating I bit into my wonton and spit it out because it was just that hot. The broth tasted a lot like miso soup, what a disappointment. I hate leaving bad reviews but I wouldn't waste your time eating here. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did but I wasted 25 minutes just to order some salty wings, cold baos and extremely hot dumplings in miso soup with noodles. We don't have many ramen places in CT, we were hoping this would be the spot....but this is not the spot. read more

The best curry ramen around! Love by my entire family. Delivery is items are great quality too.

We ate here on a Friday evening. We were seated right away. The space isn't huge nor is it fancy. It's neat and clean. Service was excellent. Our orders comprised of Edamame and Tokyo wings for starters followed by Tokyo chicken ramen and Vegetarian ramen. Everything was served promptly and very tasty. The ramen had the right amount of chicken and vegetables. The broth was flavorful. Good spot for a reasonably priced, flavorful, basic bowl of ramen. read more

DEF@$%&!LICIOUS!!! The lamb bao: kinda like a curried grilled lamb ban mei flavor. Spicy Korean Wings: not very Korean in flavor but spicy as all get out and very crispy. Ramen: Yasss Tan tan: brothless ramen. Had a vietnamese vibe to it with cilantro, nuts, crispy shallots and a nice savory, slightly spiced sweet sauce. Pork Ramen: Rich creamy thick flavorful broth. Delicious pork chunks, nice mushrooms and the noidles were perfect. Great service. Fast and fresh. Nice surprise restaurant between all the typical places like Red Lobster and Denny's. read more

I really like this little place. The food is good and we have never had a bad dish in this place. I always go for the vegetarian dishes, and I am never disappointed. The service is good and the place has a great atmosphere. Love coming to this restaurant when I want some good ramen. read more

I wanted to love this place so badly! Since traveling to Tokyo, my husband and I have been looking for authentic ramen locally. Last weekend we visited a place in Worcester MA that makes an excellent ramen. Kaliubon was similar but not as good. Also saki and beer prices were high which was unfortunate. read more

Let start off with the fact that their decor and the ambience make me feel like I'm not in Connecticut! The service was really good and their ramen was delicious! I would definitely recommend their steamed dumplings and the Brussel sprout salad. I will be back read more

Just delicious. The ramen is so good, that egg is ridiculous. The bao with tofu is great, and the goma q appetizer is light and flavorful. When you get it to go, they do a nice job with packaging it. read more

Kind of a hole-in-the-wall place. Not very clean or upkeept. The food was only bearable and the service was slow. I will not be back. read more

Great ramen! Even good Togo. Pork bao is also fantastic . Cool place inside too. Not a huge portion but decent.

If you feel like being held hostage at a restaurant for an hour while you wait to be serviced... Kaliubon Ramen is your spot. The waitress took her sweet time to take our order. The food took about half an hour to be served. The bill took forever to get to us. For some reason the waitress had an attitude. The food was at best, mediocre. For that reason I am bumping this up to a 3 star instead for a 1. The "pork" buns were a pork chop in a bun. The lamb was so greasy that it left grease streaks on the plate. read more

Every time I come here or get take out, I am so pleased. This was my first experience with real ramen and now I crave it at least once a week. The place is gorgeous inside, servers are super sweet and welcoming. Ramen is incredible. Every single one I've tried has been phenomenal. Also, if you get the ramen as take out, they keep the noodles separate from the broth for heating purposes. They also include heating instructions on the take out containers. I have ALWAYS had a great experience here (my boyfriend and sister LOVE it as well) and will always come back for a great bowl of ramen. read more

This place was very nice. The atmosphere was nice and waitress was friendly. My sister who has had the best Ramen in New York said it's okay. Since this is my first Ramen House. AMAZING!!! I got a coupon in the mail and said why not give it a try. I cannot believe I didn't try this place sooner. Food was tremendous and the service was even better. Shout out to our waiter Aaron. This cuisine was a little foreign to me but Aaron knew the menu inside and out. Every suggestion he made from apps to dessert was on point. I ordered the lamb bao for an app and the shoyu ramen for dinner. The textures and flavors were unlike anything I've experienced before. Totally off the charts. Aaron made addition recommendations which I cannot wait to return and try!!! read more

A pleasant surprise. I heard about this place from a friend and thought that it was worth a try. First thoughts when I heard about the place: wontons in ramen... very Chinese. When we arrived outside the shop, there was a garbage smell as their bin was directly outside the store. We went in and waited to be seated. Getting a seat took much longer than it should have as they actually weren't that busy but we couldn't find a waiter. We ended up just seating ourselves. Actual service was great though. They were great in explaining the menu and recommendations. They are accommodating for allergies and dietary restrictions. You can substitute most of the ork dishes with chicken or tofu. Per their recommendation, we ordered lamb bao (2 pieces), tan tan noodles, kaliubon ramen, and wonton ramen. We also ordered Korean wings (5 wings) and tried the lychee colada and Thai iced coffee mochi (comes in 2 mochi pieces and we mixed/matched flavors) for dessert. Lamb bao - really good, had a nice kick but wasn't overly spicy. Recommended. Korean wings - nothing special, skip. Tan tan noodles - delicious, I was skeptical at first but it actually work well with ground pork. Note: tan tan is a dry noodle but the the noodles are actually very saucy. Kaliubon ramen - liked the broth, not too spicy either. Wonton ramen - wontons were yummy but very Chinese, definitely doesn't taste like what most people are going to expect when they think of ramen. Dessert menu is currently limited to mochi. We were told upfront but it was definitely true. Lychee colada is light on the lychee, in fact you can barely taste it all. Skip the dessert and go elsewhere. Surprisingly the wonton ramen and kaliubon ramen share the same soup base... couldn't tell. If you want the wontons, order it as an extra to your ramen order. Ramen can be a little pricey but prices are similar to other places. read more

Was very good! It was my first time trying ramen and I ordered the miso soup. The only thing that was a little strange was their background music was songs from Disney princess movies. Besides that overall great experience! Will return again to try more flavors soon :) read more

Our favorite ramen in the area! We've only done takeout but it never disappoints. Love how the soup part comes in it's own container, so it travels well. All of the ramen has been delicious, between my husband and I, we've ordered almost everything from the menu! read more

This place is so cute and trendy!! Very nice decor and friendly staff at the door and our waitress was so attentive! She explained the menu very well and any questions we had. Now onto the food, amazing!!! I must say I am very spoiled by California Ramen but this place did not disappoint. The tonkatsu ramen had a nice fatty taste to the broth and the playing was beautiful to the eye! We also had the Lamb Bao. I've never had lamb bao but the idea is very creative and they nailed it! It did take a bit long for my extra noodles to come out, which was odd, but overall great experience. The fact that this place is right down the street from me is dangerous lol read more

I wanted to try this place tonight and I was craving for a good ramen bowl.so I had my spouse go for dinner tonight. Even though I made a batch of galumpkis, we were glad to try tonight. It was quite busy by the time we walked in there before six. We were told that there would be a 15 minutes wait as the booths for two were all taken. So we chose the bar or the noodle bar area to sit. We took the latter to see the cooks working through the glass partition. I ordered Thai ice tea and my spouse had hot matcha brown tea. We had pork bao for appetizer. Although I came to try ramen noodles but we ended getting pho for tonight's special instead. We weren't disappointed. We had to wait more than 10 minutes for our pho's . I gave four stars because the ambience was a tad too loud as the music was too catered for 20 somethings. Sometimes we can't hear our conversations. When we saw a cook pour a bucket of soup base from a plastic bucket, it didn't look savory for us. I will come back for lunch alone just to have a ramen noodle bowl. read more

Would definitely go here again. The staff was friendly and our server made sure we had the full experience. He gave us great recommendations and tips on what to order and how to enjoy our meal to the fullest. My table ordered the Kaliubon ramen, Tan Tan, and the Tokyo Chicken. All were tasty and great. For the Kaliubon - really enjoyed the creamy broth and chashu. I liked how the broth was a warm spicy rather than a sharp, burning spice. For the Tokyo Chicken - the hibachi-style chicken was delicious and a great addition to the ramen. For the Tan Tan - reminded me of an upgraded version of Indo Mie Mi Goreng which I personally love. Overall, a great experience and can't wait to go back! read more

I've been on a hunt for good ramen since leaving hawaii. This place seemed legit but based on taste... I would say meh, somethijg different was in my miso ramen that had a odd after taste. What an amazing find. Was just driving through and my daughter suggested this for lunch. Lots of strong and well constructed flavors. Got the brusssels sprouts as a combo with ramen and they were perfectly cooked, roasted, not at all greasy, bold tangy sauce. My Kaliubon ramen was intensely pork and sesame flavored. My wife's salmon poke was full of ginger, seaweed salad, all her favorite things. My daughter's chicken ramen was completely different from mine, much lighter. Would definitely come again to try more things. read more

So last night me and my wife went and ate here service was good but the food put my wife in bed puking and sick as hell the next day. We are thinking it was her under cooked pork belly she had. It was rushed to our table just cause the jerkbag cleaning tables decided to rush it out even though we heard the cook say it was little under cooked. Never will we return here paid 80$ for food poisoning so thanks for that. Place was full of hipsters and Millennials anyways so no loss there. read more

It's a delight when there are so many options that you would like to try. We started with the edamame, brussel sprout salad, dumplings, and pork boa buns. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. For entrees we had the house ramen and spicy tuna poke. Good portions but the flavor was a little lacking so I got some soy and spicy sauce that brought it to where I enjoyed. Nice and clean restaurant! read more

Great ramen. Really enjoyed it. I've had it a few times now since I've been in Hartford. Leaving in a few days to go back home but will definitely stop by here again next time I am in town. I tried a few other ramen spots in town and they don't measure up read more

Unless you're googling for ramen, this place can be easily missed. Located in a conspicuous location inside a busy popular plaza. Inside, the setting and decor is modern. I've been twice and there were only a few tables occupied each time. As good as the ramen is, I'd expect it to be busier. The service was good and the ramen was great! The broth is rich and flavorful. And the noodles cooked perfectly. I also had the dumplings that were the best I've ever had! They were in a slightly sour/spicy sauce topped with peanuts, cilantro and green onions. The pork bao with crunchy pickled slaw and warm buns were really good too. Can't wait to try their wings and the beef ramen next visit!! read more

Excellent food. All of their fresh noodle dishes are delicious. Can't go wrong with any selection. We've never been disappointed.

I absolutely recommend this place, both Wethersfield and West Hartford. I have lost count of how many times I have to either one and each time the food and service is always amazing. Whether it's take out or eating house the food is consistently epic!! if I could truly give more than five star I would. read more

I went here a few weeks ago for take out. They were out of bao and I was bummed. The take out ramen was okay, but my sister has diverticulitis and can't have seeds so we made sure to tell them. They gave her separate broth in a separate bag but the noodles and everything else that came in containers to be added to the broth were not marked and were packed in with the regular orders. The regular order comes with lots of sesame seeds. So we ended up messing that up. We were able to fix it and it was okay, but I wish they'd done a better job of separating and marking it because sesame seeds can put her in the hospital. I think in general take out ramen is not as good as dining in, so I can't really rate the ramen until I've done that. And like I said they were out of bao. I will say that when I went in the guy at the register was quick and very nice. The place looked really cute inside, warm and fun. I would love to go back and dine in, hopefully will get to do that soon. read more

I love this place I come here at least twice a month. I'm stuck on the wonton ramen and the truffle shoyu ramen. Best wontons and chasu pork in the area. Bao's and dumplings are also consistently delicious. Staff is friendly and perfectly distant when I dine alone or eat with my wife. I suggest you dine in as take out isn't as good. The bubble tea is solid but you can get a better cup elsewhere. They have a great lunch special that basically adds a single serve appetizer to start you off. My favorite bowl of soup is in Wethersfield. read more
