We had lunch before 11:20 on Sat. I found only one table taken by 4 people. Thank God! Quiet, not busy yet before lunch time. My hubby and I ordered very spicy Kalbi tofu, mild beef tofu. The hot rice pot was just perfect, so chewy, steamy, flavorful. I loved it. Tofu was really tasty. All the side dishes which were kimchi, cucumber kimchi, bean sprouts, mini anchovy w peanuts, fish cakes, and potato salad were so good. We really enjoyed the tofu w soju drink but 2 servers looked so overwhelmed, didn't care about us. I wanted to ask them a refill of some kimchi, bean sprouts but hard to ask them to refill some side dishes. They have been using robot service for delivering the side dishes to the tables. Not enough to serve the hot foods, charge the bills, refill the side dishes. I wish the owner realizes how busy the restaurant is on Sat. Two servers can't cover the big dining area. So many customers are in a line for the large group of party, family lunch, and so many to go orders and etc. Finally, we finished our lunch and asked our server to pay but it took so much time to pay the bill. She took orders from other tables, took care of other customers...ummm...insane. Two server were not enough to serve all the customers. I barely paid the bill w reward points thank to our old server we've known for years. She is a great server, so sweet all the time. To be honest, looked so busy after 12. They need to hire more people to seeve many customers during lunch time on weekend. The most important things for me to choose the restaurant are the service, quality, and how consistent the taste is.

Seafood Pancake 해물 파전

This is a must stop for us when in town. Food is consistently good! A modified table service that's basically self service. Not too extensive of a menu, ordering on the iPad available on your table is quite easy. It works even for requesting more napkins, utensils, etc. I actually find this efficient as you don't need to flag down a server for assistance. Your food is delivered by this robotic thingy. Occasionally, a server would come by for bonchon refills. Although this place is a fairly big restaurant, it gets packed. This place can be quite busy, the yelp waitlist helps! Another satisfying meal...check!

Sumptuous and delicious authentic Korean food, friendly service from staff and delivery robot, comfortable and clean facilities. It's supposed to be a Tofu place, but our host who brought us there did not let us offer Tofu soup, and we all still liked it a lot. 4 big dishes for 5 hungry people and we still had leftovers. Everything we had was excellent: seafood pancake (we ordered it extra crispy) was a hit, I personally loved the beef rib soup, Galbi (aka Kalbi) was humongous (tasty, sweet, and tender), wrapped pork belly was delightful. We were surprised by a gentle delivery robot, came to us quietly with all the appetizers. We had to offload them ourselves but it was a lot of fun.

Cold noodles and BOSSAM - COMBO

Good food, often busy. I've been here a few times and I can say from personal experience that there is never a shortage of customers. It doesn't matter what day or time you go, just expect it to be busy, but of course even busier on nights and weekends, especially around holidays. The food here is always good and it's consistent. Definitely a strong contender with a well known restaurant with 3 letters (the 3 that come after letter A). The tofu soup has a good, strong base. The bossam is delicious and cooked to perfection. The cold noodles are absolutely delicious and very plentiful - you get a lot of food for how much you pay for. Expect this to be as loud and busy as a typical tofu soup restaurant. It's typically noisy and they usually have music (kpop) playing in the speakers too. Overall, great place and will come back again. Be mindful of the parking lot - it's shared with a plaza and can get busy quick. I've come here a few times where I've had to park on the street because of limited parking in the lot.

Hot Stone White Rice

Down here for college visit, found this spot because I wanted tofu soup. Greeted and seated by friendly staff. Easy ordering via tablet connected on the table. Food is brought out by both staff and cute electronic robot kitty. Seafood pancake was ginormous and had a nice crispy crunch, loaded with seafood. Dishes are served with hot stone white rice. Who doesn't love the crispy rice on the bottom of the stone? The Galbi was perfectly flavored and cooked. My family and I all enjoyed this local spot and will be back if in the area.

GALBI Tofu Soup 갈비순두부 $17.99
Clara C.

Kaju Soft Tofu still has my favorite soontofu ever: galbi soft tofu. The crazy thing is soontofu costs $17.99 per bowl! This includes the rice bowl that comes in the stone pot. Add water to it after you remove the rice. Take it home to drink. This also includes the side dishes, like kimchi cabbage, kimchi radish, bean sprouts, etc. You order on the tablet at your table. When you need to check out, there is an option on the tablet too. I don't feel the five stars is deserving because the service was unfortunately lacking. The tablet has options to ask for water or get the check, but there is no button to get to-go containers or more napkins. It was hard to flag down someone, and it took them even longer to get what we asked for. Free parking in the private lot No WiFi Bathroom available in the back Credit card/Apple Pay accepted

Good food and great experience. I came with my sisters and we all tried something different from the menu. I had the galbi tofu soup. My sisters had the bibimbap and the galbi with cold noodle. The ban chan sides were all delicious and the waitress generously topped us off. It was also cool to see the robot delivering our food. We came early at 5:00pm and it was easy parking. Great service. Please come and create your own adventure.

Pure chaos

Another takeout get tossed aside so they could prioritize the dine in customer. Looks like bad management here since there's only 2 front staffs. The issue is food keeps coming out and they're back & forth to tables nonstop which mean the takeout is left untouched like forever. U gotta pray that all tables are served until then you might have your shit packed.

My first time here. Menu is limited to a few options... which I think is a good thing. That means the food the.make is really good and they don't have too many dishes that all end up mediocre. I had the beef soft tofu soup. It was pretty good. I had to wait 30-45 minutes for it to cool down to eat. The stone bowl of rice was good. Paired with the sides it was a nice starter for the meal. Presentation was awesome! The interior was very nice. I would recommend this place for an interesting experience and good food.

Beef BEEF Tofu Soup 소고기순두부

Can't really go wrong with the soft tofu here! It's flavorful and the portions are great! The fish cake here is also a top hit of mine and I recently tried the anchovies which are good too. My only complaint is the service. They definitely just want you in and out of there because they don't personalize your experience nor do they check on you while you dine

Tofu soup with banchan to go
Kerry K.

I absolutely love the tofu soup here at Kaju and have been coming to this location since it opened a few years ago I believe. The quality has been consistently the best and the banchan are some of my faves. The chili pickles, fishcake and kimchi are so good. I also like the tiny fried fish and potato salad. To order, just use the iPad on the table. If you want to put a raw egg in your soup, you'll need to order that on the iPad as it doesn't come automatically. There's a robot that sometimes brings your food to your table.

Came here a few days ago to change up the tofu soup restaurant since they have slightly different banchan than the other place I frequent. Service was fairly fast when we came and left pretty full. We managed to avoid the dinner rush. I opted for the dumpling soup, which did not disappoint, although I did have them add galbi to make the soup a bit heartier. Now that it's "cold" again I'm looking to bei g able to frequent more often. Yes they do have more food options than just soup, but I am a soup fiend and haven't explored the menu much! Definitely worth coming if you are craving a hearty, warm, yet light soup!

Kaju is a reliable soondubu soup option in the OC, which personally I like a bit more than BCD and Young Dong. The broth tastes a bit cleaner here and they seem to use slightly less of the flavor "enhancers" (ie dasida, maht sohguhm) than other tofu chains. However the food is a bit more salty in comparison. Of all the tofu soups we've tried at Kaju- the kimchi pork one hits the best. As other reviewers have noted, the banchan was a bit of a letdown. Just some basic kimchi and they did away with the fried croaker recently. (I'm an OG, fried croaker is part of the soondubu experience). Service was decent too and the food was delivered promptly, in person and by robot lol. All in all, fall weather is soup weather- Kaju is consistent and pretty good for hitting the spot.

Ask the Community - Kaju Soft Tofu

Is the broth a veggie broth? Asking for a vegetarian friend 😊

Yes, you can definitely request a veggie broth instead of the original beef bone broth!

Do you get side dishes (ban chan) for take out orders?

I ordered the mushroom tofu soup for take-out and it came with the sides :)

Are you still serving shikhye? Love that stuff!

Yes we do! 🤗

How is the baby plain tofu?

Never tried it, medium spicy is not spicy enough. LOL

Do they use msg?

I don't know if y'all read the research, but MSG isn't bad.

We gave Coffee & a try, the coffee was excellent and provided just the right caffeine boost we needed. I ordered the Cold Brew Latte, which featured New Orleans cold brew concentrate. I swapped out the agave syrup for honey and chose almond milk for my drink, which cost $6.80. The caffeine hit was perfect, and I really enjoyed the flavor. Next time, I might opt for less milk or just stick with the cold brew and honey for a bolder taste. My friend chose the Brown Sugar Oat Shaken, a delightful mix of double shot espresso, brown sugar, vanilla syrup, shaken with oat milk (iced only), also priced at $6.80. She loved her drink and said it would be her go to choice for future visits. Overall, Coffee & is a fantastic spot for a caffeine fix.

Staff wise not really friendly, just engaged with each other and there was no energy or enthusiasm Tried the banana pistachio bread warm up and maple cinnamon cold brew latte Honestly was not impressed. The bread was dry and stale. The drink itself had a lot of ice in it that made the drink taste watered down. Probably would not return overall with service and quality of food and drink.

I sat at the one available table and savored both items. The Biscoff latte was iced, with just enough ice to make it cold. I appreciate that they didn't overdo the ice like most coffee places. The flavor of cookie butter was vivid, sweet, and delicious. The cream top and crumbles of Biscoff added to the visual appeal. The lemon bar was slightly sweet and citrusy, with a tasty thin outer crust, the top of which was sprinkled with powdered sugar. For me, this was a perfect lemon bar in every way. Unfortunately, that turned into over an hour--with no updates from staff during that time. What made it worse was that we only found out after we had already paid that the kitchen was backed up. That's something customers deserve to know upfront so they can decide whether they're willing to wait. We were also there with a baby who needed to go down for a nap, which made the long, unexpected delay even more difficult. On top of that, they had already run out of matcha and the menu was extremely limited, which was disappointing considering that's one of the main draws of a place like this. Overall, poor communication and lack of transparency really ruined the experience. I understand delays happen, but being upfront and managing expectations would have made a huge difference. Extremely disappointed. We went to this place a long time ago when they first opened and remembered them having a more extensive menu and it being far better.
