Nail appointments can sometimes just be sitting in silence for over an hour, which honestly isn't my favorite thing, so I appreciated that he was not only really talented but also enjoyable to chat with. More details: We asked for regular pedicures and repeated it multiple times when they brought out what looks like the typical DND shellac two-pack with a color and a clear coat. We were confused, but they would not admit that it was a gel polish, so there were 2 problems: 1) they brought us the sample nails to pick a color, but the colors always looked very different on the nail. Of course they were never going to be cured under UV, so the color was different and more opaque. We had to keep changing our polish color through trial and error. (No guidance or assistance from the tech, by the way. It helps if the staff is familiar with the products they have. Imagine if they had true regular polish AND swatched that polish so we could select accordingly! A genius concept LOL ) 2) We waited well over an hour (no one checked on us or our nails during this time) after the polish application... and the polish never dried properly like a traditional regular polish would have. It kept smudging even after they "checked" that mine were dry. My cousin had it worse. They had to wipe her polish off (after we waited all this time!) And just re-applied once more. Complete waste of time. Regular polish is designed to air dry! We had to ask for fans multiple times, and even asked them to just consider curing the nails under the light so we could go home, but they just looked at us in confusion and re-painted the nails that would never dry and kept getting smudged. We went home and used a UV lamp we had to see if the nails would cure, confirming once and for all that it was gel polish that they used... guess what! They did! next time I am trusting my instincts. Oh, an additional issue was that I asked for a 3 pm appointment the day before and confirmed it over the phone. When I arrived at 2:50, I was told the appointment is actually at 3:30 and to come back. Clerical error on their part and they didn't admit it, so not a great first impression.

The vibe there was friendly and I was happy with my service - even scheduled my next appointment before I left. That was on Thursday and less than five days later I notice green coloring under each nails in the corners of both sides close to the cuticle! I have never in all the many many years of getting my nails done has a nail fungus and that includes me doing my own nails using Shellac and acrylic. I don't know if the tools used were sanitized, which I hoped they were. Unfortunately, I have no clue because this is a first for me. $85 nails, that I'm currently popping off and hands full of nail funguses! This has been the worst nail salon experience ever! I always get major compliments on my nails after getting them done. I really love that everyone is masked and the place is never packed, making it easy to not be close to anyone while waiting. I was also able to schedule an appt via text. The day of my appt they texted asking if they could reschedule because they were going to close early due to the weather. I really wanted my nails done and asked if I could just come at that time instead of keeping my evening appointment and they accommodated me. The salon is located in a place and there is plenty of parking available. The salon is spacious and clean. I went with a full set of medium length acrylic tips and gel pedicure. I had gel x nails which the nail tech soaked off first and then added new acrylic tips. I showed the design I wanted and was throughly satisfied with the service. So in total I received gel x tips removal, acrylic full set medium length, designs on ten fingernails, gel polish removal on toes and gel pedicure all for $160. Very reasonable pricing in comparison to what others are charging in this area. If you find them on social media, a lot of the pictures that are posted belong to the nail tech Max but honestly all of the nail techs are skilled. My nail tech was Tom and he did a really good job. Kayla did my pedicure and she was good too. If you like to have fun nails with lots of designs and are looking for nail techs that are creative, this is definitely the spot for you to try.

Though Kieu is still getting established, the quality of her work remains A1! And as a matter of fact, she's gotten some cool gadgets in her new space that make removing old polish much easier, which shortens and improves the overall process.
