This was my first time ever visiting this shop. I was I interested in finding a nail salon nearby that didn't grind the nail bed. The vibe there was friendly and I was happy with my service - even scheduled my next appointment before I left. That was on Thursday and less than five days later I notice green coloring under each nails in the corners of both sides close to the cuticle! I have never in all the many many years of getting my nails done has a nail fungus and that includes me doing my own nails using Shellac and acrylic. I don't know if the tools used were sanitized, which I hoped they were. Unfortunately, I have no clue because this is a first for me. $85 nails, that I'm currently popping off and hands full of nail funguses! This has been the worst nail salon experience ever! Don't trust the hype - something is seriously flawed here. I'm disgusted and furious!

The system was easy to use, and I just picked what I wanted. Positive website navigation...check! I immediately received a text verifying my booking. I received a reminder text a few days before, and yet another one the day of. Communication....check. The salon is on Harford Rd right off 695 and there is plenty of parking in back which is great! Location...check When I walked in my immediate reaction was "oh this is CUTE!" Its a boutique salon, extremely clean, and homey but in the best way. I was immediately greeted by the salon manager (Im so sorry I can't remember your name) with a hello and a warm welcome. She immediately put me at ease, and I just felt so comfortable like it wasnt my first visit. The manager confirmed what I was getting and led me over my tech, Shradha. She gave my toes and fingers the business. THE BUSINESS!! She got me right! I got the special pedicure. You get your choice of scented scrub and I chose lavender. The callus remover is also included. They dont use the cheese grater. Instead, they use a motorized foot sander thing. They also use disposable utensils. My feet are smooooth, my cuticles have been loved on, and my polish is amazing. I love Shradha so much!! Shradha is very quiet and thats okay. I'm new, she doesnt know me, and she was all about getting me right, so I was fine. I just started talking to everyone else. The manager was personable and we talked about her journey to the salon, and the goals of the owner (which are fabulous and exciting! I love to see black women making big moves especially in spaces where we arent represented). I love talking to people because im 1. Nosey and 2. I'm a yapper. I also talked to the techs and its very clear that they operate as a team. Often nail salons are individualistic and I don't get that vibe from them. Everyone is a talented artist in their own right and they come together because they share a common goal for the salon. Let me not forget to mention the diversity on the team. I do believe that everyone was a POC and the clients that were being serviced were also equally diverse. I was extremely impressed all the way around. My service was gel soak off (hands and feet), special gel pedicure, and gel manicure. Total cost was $120+ tip. If I had to give a criticism, it was a super small one, the size of a grain sand. It would be the fumes of the chemicals. Towards the end of my service, it became more pronouced due to the lack of ventilation as the space is small. Ive never smelled it that pungent before so Im not sure if it was a one off. Nonetheless, I can fix that with a mask. It's clear that I had a fabulous time. I like to try something 3 times before I decide that I like it. But the thought has entered my mind that I might have to break up with my nail tech. It was just that good! I didn't get what I wanted nor is it worth the amount I paid. There is different nail techs and right now maybe two main ones ... I'm unsure but Jasmine was my Nail tech. She was a nice girl but did a rushed job. I explained to her how my boyfriend would be coming home soon and how he really liked French tips and even showed her pictures of HER work that he and I liked. It started off well but I think at some point she was behind on schedule (not my fault ) and started to rush. Apparently whatever style or design you want only applies to 1 or 2 nails. Because she asked me how many French tips I wanted per hand 1 or 2 (I was confused) so theoretically all other nails would be blank. Every picture I showed her had a design on each finger so in my mind I assume that she had other plans for my other nails but I was wrong. After the two French tips she wanted to put a clear coat on the rest. I requested a solid nail because two French tips weren't going to do it. My polish has bubbles and it's not even.... so Its areas you can see the brushstrokes or the acrylic underneath because it's thin. I brought it to her attention and she said the condition of the polish was because I took my hand out of the light ( again confused because I don't recall removing my nails prematurely) but okay. The nails are filed uneven... some go straight across and some have like a C shape curve at the top. Understanding that the filing wouldn't be absolutely perfect but the differences are very noticeable. Some nails look like I took a clipper and took a chunk out of the end. I asked her to file them straight across to even it out and she said I was requesting a C shape .... I wasn't I legit wanted my nails flat and to look the same. I had high hopes but they didn't get fulfilled and she really didn't care if I liked or not it was okay on to the next client .... Well that's what I sensed like I said she seemed like a nice person just feel time got ahead of her. I was called an hour before my appointment asking could I come 30 minutes later. So it's not as if I was late for my appointment & she had to rush. I came at the time that they requested. Waste of my Saturday morning and money because I will more than likely take them off and get them redone at my local salon. Outside of that the salon is pretty, it seems to be clean. Majority of the staff and clients wear a mask and there's plenty of parking. Can't speak on any other service I got a full set. You book online ... I doubt I will return.

I shared a video with her showing a cat-eye French tip design I wanted. As she started working, I felt the nails looked too dark, but I tried to trust the process. She finished one nail and asked for my opinion. I asked if it was the final product, but due to a language barrier, she called over a man I believe is the owner. He explained that the nail wasn't finished and there were more layers to add, so I said okay. When everything was done, she executed the design perfectly, but it was much darker than I wanted. I had hoped for a pink design but left with a dark pink and greenish-looking nail. I tried to love it but couldn't, so I returned the next day to request a color change. Initially, the owner implied I would need to pay for the redesign, but when I explained that I had expressed my dissatisfaction the day before, he agreed to fix it at no charge. Because of this good customer service, I decided to give them another chance, but I opted for a different nail tech this time and requested Michael. During my fill, I had to point out areas where the nails weren't shaped correctly. Even during polishing, I had to ask him to go over spots he missed. I asked for blue chrome nails with glitter, and he initially said it was possible. However, after prepping my nails, he called over a coworker, showed him the picture, and then told me he couldn't execute the design. As a result, I left with plain nail polish. Michael was apologetic and said they'd have the chrome powder next time, but by then, the experience left me disappointed. The staff is nice, and I appreciate that they allow both appointments and walk-ins. However, there's something about the vibe of the salon that feels off, so I won't be returning. That said, if you're in a pinch and need something affordable, they might be worth a try.

I punched in Yelp and this jewel came up. I walked in and I was immediately addressed. The place is really nice. You can tell they believe in proper sanitation practices since they use bags in their bowls while doing pedicures. The customer service was impeccable, while I was there I witnessed 2 customers telling their tech that this needed to be fixed or that needed to be fixed. I personally didn't see that anything was wrong with their services but oh well. The owner made sure they were happy no matter how many times she had to fix something. Everyone was polite and professional. I absolutely love my nails. They are beautiful. If you are ever in the Dundalk area please stop in. You will not be disappointed.
