I don't really like the Armory at the Seattle Center for a couple of reasons. It's too difficult to find parking, the restaurants are often overpriced, and they removed the Orange Julius years ago. Plus, I can never get over the fact that "Armory" is such a weird name for a place like this. Anyway, this place caught my attention when it seemed more promising than anywhere else in the food court. You can expect a very long line first of all. Don't be surprised if you end up paying absurd amounts for food here nevertheless. This place had me shell out ten dollars for a gyro sandwich, and the thing was pretty small. What a waste. The only thing saving me from giving this place a negative review is that I wouldn't know where else to go for food in the immediate area. read more

Really not worth your money, especially when there are decent options next door. I went with my family and we got an assortment of plates. I had a hard time finding anything good in what we got, but did enjoy the hummus. The meats were cold and dry, though had good flavor. The rice was soggy and had assorted veggies mixed in it (Lima beans?). The Baba ghanoush tasted off to me, but my family said it tasted like the skin had been burnt and then blended into it. The flatbread was super dry. And, the Greek fries were so soggy and undercooked we had to send them back. Two of four orders were incorrect or missing items. The food was incredible! I'm on a trip here from Cali and as a vegan was hoping to find some good good here other than French fries and salad which is what I'm usually stuck with. I ordered the vegetarian special plate, side of olives, and baklava. The food was so delicious, everything was perfect except for I have high standards for tomatoes and they looked a little sad. I loved it so much and had just come into a lot of money and sprinted back over to drop in a 10 dollar tip. Hummus and the... I can't remember the name of the other eggplant and lemon thing that looks like hummus... were both so packed full of flavor. Falafel was wonderful and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The dressing over the greens was excellent as was the tzatziki. Based on the other reviews it looks like the meat is hit or miss, but my food was amazing! I went to Kabab this weekend during Bumbershoot. The line next door at Skillet was about 20 people deep and there was no line at Kabab. I thought "why not?" I'm glad I gave them a shot! I had the lamb gyro. You get the choice of beef, lamb, or chicken. With tax the gyro was $8.25. I really think it was overpriced by at least a dollar. I think a gyro should be $7 with tax, tops. Ah well. The lamb was juicy and tasty. Veggies tasted fresh. Sauce was good. Portion was good. I was very hungry and ate the whole thing. If I wasn't famished I probably could have shared with someone. Nice people at the counter. I'm happy to find another solid choice in The Armory! I do think they're a tad pricey though. read more

This only gets two stars because the lentil soup was really good. Everything else was too damn salty. That's right, I said too damn salty!! We chose this is after yelping every single damn food court stall in this freaking food court. Man I hate food courts. Did yelp make me even moRE elitist about food?? Who knows. That is besides the point. I was here for the Cherry Blossom Festival (eh) and I was hungry and desperate. This place is probably a 3 star IN the food court, but 2 in Seattle. Beef & Lamb pita was 4.99 and topped with generous amounts of meat. But kinda eh and process-y. Lentil soup was 2.99 yummy and full of spices. Kabab is doo-doo. It's sad that most of the people who eat there will do so on the spur of the moment. So they won't know until it's too late that Kabob is doo-doo. So I'm takin little Nachito to the children's museum. All this damn war coverage of the middle east has got me jones'n for some taliban food. So I give Kabob a try. But much like a hummer driving over an IED, I immediately know I've made a mistake. I'm payin by credit card (tryin to up that FICO score) and my cashier 'Saied' swipes it, then spins the display around to me for my 'tipping options'!?!?! There's a range between 10%-25%. WTF?? This is fast food, dude. I'm carrying my own order to the table and busing my own paper plates here. But he's standing there staring at me, waiting for me to make my selection. No wonder the line is so slow. I tell him no tip, and he sullenly gives me my receipt. 20 minutes later, I get a plate of chicken breast over rice with 'Mediterranean' salad. The flavoring on the chicken is OK, but the chicken is hard and full of cartilage. The rice is friggin San Francisco Treat, and the salad is drenched in nastily spiced sauce. It must be middle eastern, because it sure ain't 'Mediterranean'. Add to the $9 plate, a $3,50 bottle of water, and I'm feeling thoroughly ripped off. So my advice is to pass Kabab and head over to Quincy's for some good hamburgers and seafood. Aren't they supposed to be spelling it K-E-B-A-B anyway?? read more

We were looking for a quick snack at the Armory before heading up to the Space Needle and we found the Kabab. My Lamb Kabab wrap was alright, but we absolutly liked my wife's Falafel wrap. We like it that much that we had it agian when we went back to Seattle Center. read more

It's really odd to see all the negative comments about this place. Seriously, of all the choices in the Center House, Kabab Corner is my first choice. They serve very authentic Greek. If there was something wrong with your meal, did ya take time to let them know??? I doubt it! I looked back to see when I last Yelped about them - it was 2008. So, almost four years later, they're still in business, and I have to say, after my last visit about a week ago, the food is just as tasty as ever. Stuck in the Seattle Center and desperate for a light meal at the Armory without it actually having to be rabbit food (salad)? Try Kabab -- but only out of desperation. I didn't order the gyro, but instead had a chicken plate, so I can't rate the gyro. The chicken plate came with rice, pieces of chicken, salad, and pita bread (~$9). It looked very tasteless and bland, but was actually very flavorful and full of the spices I love. Chicken was tender, but the rice was a little mushy and salty. I have definitely had better Mediterranean cuisine, but this is a good place to go if there is no other choice. read more

Long story short: my family was in need of meal after playing in the fountain and people watching. After doing a quick recon of all the restaurants in the Armory we decided on Greek food, and made our way to Kabab. Initially I was a little shocked at how much our total was after ordering 2 Chicken Gyros and greek fries ($30). The next fifteen minutes I noticed a lot of talking amongst the employees and not a whole lot of food being served for their patrons. At the fifteen minute mark my gryos were placed on the window to be served and another 5 minutes for my greek fries to be completed. Needless to say, our two gyros were cold as if they had been sitting around for 20 minutes and our greek fries, weren't any warmer. They were soggy and were very plain tasting. During the happy our event at Seattle center we were a bit hungry and went to KABAB, unfortunately it wasn't really satisfying. We had the beef gyro; the bread was good, the veggies and the sauce were okay too, but the meat was chewy and gristle. That's definitely something they could improve. Based on our experience: Quality: bad - tough, over-salted meats. Hard pita bread wrapped in a plastic bag (wished hubby had read yelp reviews before selecting this place for a quick meal) Was not asked about choice between rice/hummus or salad. Didn't matter - both were bad. Portions: small. We ordered another meal - rice was mushy, and had corn: corn???!!! This is middle eastern food - I have never seen corn in Middle Eastern rice. I got food poisoning from eating here. My friends and I were in Seattle Center looking for a place to eat before we went to the Seattle Rep to see "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf?" I, unfortunately, chose to eat here. I had the lamb kabab salad. As my friends and I walked around a bit before heading to the theater I started to feel really queasy.
