Great place for a birthday party! My son celebrated his 18th birthday at K1 with a group of boys and everyone had fun. Booking was simple and their group was taken care of. I booked the two race package and the boys liked seeing the stats from each race on the printout. Their group was the only one racing on the track and it was run smoothly and safely.

I highly recommend this place when you get a chance to get together with friends and family staff here is welcoming. Environment is friendly. Try it out for yourself.

Credit card authorization form to reserve the race date for large party. Offer to pay Cash- was told "No cash option" when asked

I had email conversation with Denlison from Corp group sales located in Irvin about booking a group session. She sent me a form with a notation on bottom of form "3.45% processing fee will apply for all non-cash payment". I responded back to see if I can pay with another form of payment without charges such as Cash, Zelle, check, venmo. answer was "no other form of payment was accepted". I responded to email to let Denlison know California businesses cannot legally charge a credit card convenience fee if they don't offer an alternative payment method. Since California's Senate Bill 478 took effect on July 1, 2024, it is illegal for businesses to apply surcharges or convenience fees. I sent the email to them over a week ago and I still didn't get a response. Their response so far is to ignore the email. I will take my business elsewhere. Considering to report them given that they do not follow legal business practices.

We had a great time here! We booked as a group and got to race three times. The place itself was very clean and immersive--all the decor is racing related and you can have an easy view of the track. Our stats were printed and given to each of us promptly after each race! There is a super cute ceremony setup where you get to stand on a platform for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. They give you pretty solid painted trophies as well. We had food as part of our party and it was pretty good as well. Overall we were very pleased with our experience! We had never been anywhere quite like this, so it was a fun new experience for us all.

First time here let me tell you it was so much fun $52 per person per ride which is like 7 laps Worth it. We had to wait 1 hour for the next availability. They have food and arcades . I will definitely return again. Good times with my family

I took my son and his friend here a few weeks ago on a Friday early evening. We were so lucky as hardly anyone was there yet and the blue lights had just turned on! I bought the 5 laps package and the kids had a great time racing around. Meanwhile, my friend and I had a drink and played Jenga while waiting. This place is clean and if I lived near it, I would go often. It looks great for parties and company events. There's not a ton for teens to do in the area besides shop so this is a fun activity when you want to be inside. Highly recommend it for older teens and adults. I think younger kids would be an exception as it's a shorter activity and there's a skill level needed to have fun. I'm pointing that out only because when my kids were younger and attended a party, it was confusing for them and now I see why, but only because they are now older. Just keep expectations in mind when taking younger people there.

Enjoyed the time at K1 this past Saturday. If not making reservations and trying to walk in then be prepared to wait. For. Party of 12 no reservations and walked in at 4 pm. The next race wasn't until 8:30 pm. At least got the pre-screening info all done. We came back and checked in and got ready. There was still a wait but not too bad. All electric go karts made the experience that much better. The course is wide enough that karts can pass other racers. For about 6-7 minutes per race, it was fun. I'd say try to get 2 races in. There are printouts of the race results out front and also emailed to the email that you list when putting in your information.

    Track

Here's the problem, you can't book a timeslot so you have to wait. They tell you, to come back when your que is almost up. There isn't much to do in their waiting area, so most likely, you'll leave then come back. Also, there weren't any signs on their website to WEAR closed toe shoes. So be forewarned, don't wear sandals or flip flops. Another thing is that I had to tell the employees multiple times to please help my kid put his seat belt on correctly. They should be checking every driver, especially kids!

How fast do the kids go karts go and will they be racing against adults? Wondering if this would be fun or scary for four 8 year olds (they are all tall enough) who have never driven go karts before.

Hi Julia, the kids karts max out around 20 m.p.h. and the kids have separate races from adults for safety since our adult karts go much faster. Indoor karting at K1 is a perfect introduction to go karts for kids. Looking forward to seeing the group… Read more

My son is 7 years old and 50 Inches. Would he be able to race alone or would he have to sit with an adult?

Hello, Bhavna! All of our karts are single-seaters, so adults can't drive with children in the same kart. However, based on your son's height, he should be able to race our Junior Karts, which requires a minimum height of 48". See you at the track!

Hi, my friend is 17 and I am 18. Can I sign the waiver for her? Thank you!

I don't think you can, you can go online and try registering

Can I only come in a group and not individually?

Hello, Bhavna! You can come both individually and in a group - up to you! See you at the track!

My daughter wants to go with her 12 year old friends do they need an adult to go with them?

Hello Kamryn! Yes, we'll need at least one adult to be with them, especially since waivers will need to be signed by a parent/guardian. Hope we'll see you all soon!

What is the height range for the go karts in inches?

Hello! We have a minimum height requirement of 48" for the Junior Karts, and 58" for our Adult Karts. See you at the track!

Are the go kart seats adjustable for taller/bigger sizes?

Hello, Ashley! The seats are not adjustable to make them larger (we have booster seats for smaller drivers), but we've had many NFL players drive our karts before. Also one of our employees here is 6'2" and over 235lbs and he fits in the kart just… Read more

We want to bring our 16-year-old and his friends. Are the waivers available online so parents can sign them and kids can bring the signed waivers with them? If yes, the link…

Apologies for the delay in our answer, Aimee! We do not have any waivers available online, but they are available in our centers. The parent or guardian that attends with the minors may sign them on behalf of other parents.

Hello, will you be open July 5th, or will you be off to observe July 4th? Thank you

We're sorry for the delay in our response, Christopher. We're open every day of the year except Thanksgiving. Thanks!

What if my group is more than 8 riders? Would I have to make a reservation?

Hey Christian! Sorry for the delay. You don't have to make a reservation (by booking an event) but that is strongly recommended. Hope we see you all soon!

Hello is anyone there? We're trying to get a hold of K-1 racing. They do not pick up the phone they do not return calls. Now their voicemail today the voicemail is a busy signal. Are you there K-1 hello are you there?

We are here, Ken! I'm so sorry it's been tricky to get a hold of us. Our demand has increased and we're trying to find the work staff to handle the volume. In the meantime, feel free to ask questions on here and we'll try to respond ASAP. Thank you!

What's the approximate wait time for arrive/drive now after covid? And do kids race with adults?

What is the average wait time for Arrive and Drive?

Unfortunately we only had 7 so we couldn't do the 8 person reservation. I called to get info about wait times (I understand that they can't give me an exact estimate so I told them give me worse case scenario) and I was advised that the group of 7 could have some long wait times so we opted to just come up with 3 of us. Upon arrival, place was dead other than 2-3 staff members within sight. We asked the individual behind the counter some basic questions being first timers at that location, we ended up purchasing 2 races and we received 1 for free because it was Tuesday and that was just a deal they had. After they took our money they said "well it could be about 30 minutes until you all race" which we responded saying that it's totally fine we will hangout thank you. Well since we had 30 minutes to kill why not buy some arcade credits and mess around (very mediocre arcade at best). After we purchased arcade credits, about 15 minutes went buy another employee came up to us to let us know that if we wanted to race we would have to wait till about 4:45-5pm because a group rented out the facility and there's just nothing they can do. Keep in mind when we purchased our races, 2:23pm to be exact, we got told 30 minutes. Somehow between multiple phone calls to confirm before the long drive and the day of upon arrival purchasing our races not a single individual let us know about this possible booking. ALSO no we did not show up before this group event, they were already there. Which in their defense the employee giving us a refund said "well we are not allowed to tell people about bookings". Great totally understandable I run a business my self and I understand private information etc. however the lying of race times, letting us wait for a bit and following up with "if you don't take the refund we will give you 2 extra races" well thanks but I find it hard to believe we got the full reasoning behind the situation... also to add more context, no we weren't those customers causing issues, being overly loud, or causing any sort of issues. Civilized beings and in return got a pretty S*** end of the stick. K1 speed its self is great but this location is ran by some individuals that have zero interest in making the experience rememberable. K1s slogan "Arrive and Drive" they have printed on their business cards left out crucial information. Arrive and drive past. Keep your money and spend it with a business that will give you the proper attention. Not asking to be treated like royalty. Just some common decency.

You'll have to sign again at the register, but it will save you a bunch of time when you arrive. Ok...for our experience. It can feel a little overwhelming when you first arrive if you haven't been there before. Having people walk in, with their own helmets, acting like they own the place will have anyone unsure where they should go or do when they first arrive. The staff make it feel very welcoming and friendly. After I finished check-in, I felt like the people with their own helmet. Tyrez helped me at check-in. He was patient, professional and friendly. When I say patient, I mean PATIENT! I had four kids with me and when it came to head covers alone, he got everyone what they needed even though I had to prompt the kids multiple times to come to a decision. We got there, but it was rough and Tyrez was amazing throughout! He even explained everything to me so that I wouldn't be caught off guard by anything and wouldn't end up frustrated...or at least that is how it felt. Next, know this. When they are running adult races, it's loud in the track area. Because I work safety, I have my watch set to alarm me when the sound exceeds the OSHA permissible exposure limit. It went off a lot. So, I measured the sound. It can get above 100 decibels. That's loud. Not as loud as a rock concert or fire truck siren, but it will make it difficult to have a conversation. You may want to consider ear plugs...or ear buds with noise canceling. The races are run very efficiently and they alternate between youth and adult groups. One safety feature the do great is that they are never on the track, together, at the same time. Safety seemed like it was well managed. When impacts happen, they throttle down the carts, to ensure everything is safe. One note though...and I see this as a huge positive...they let you RACE! Yes, they pay attention and focus on safety, but they don't scold or stop because of a little inadvertent contact. I was truly impressed by the balance they maintain there. In my group of four, two were a little scared and didn't race all the races we purchased (I bought the SpeedPass for each and it seems like a really good package for first timers), but they were amazing at helping me re-assign them to the others in our group. Luis helped me there and again, he was patient with me and helped ensure we got everything transferred correctly. He also answered all 5,000 of my questions throughout our visit. No, not really 5,000, but there were a lot. He was amazing! If I had any criticism at all, it would be for the game area. Many of their games weren't working because of a network error. It was disappointing for me, but it hit the kids hard. They should have someone dedicated to that area as it was never empty while we were there. I would imagine that having all working correctly would result in increased revenue. Overall, we had an amazing adventure there today and Tyrez and Luis were part of the reason why. Their track team was the other part...I just wasn't able to get their names. If you're looking for a new adventure, this is an amazing way to spend a Saturday!!!

Whatever they are doing now, they need to stop. And do something new It was my first time here. We arrived at 4:43, and when we got there the place was almost completely empty. We bought two adult races and one junior race, totaling $193, which I don't think is worth it at all. The cashier told us the junior race would be about a one-hour wait and the adult race would be about a 30-40 minute wait. They also said we would ride before the next junior race and that they would call our names. We waited about 50 minutes, and somehow 3-4 races finished, with people being called in before us even though they arrived after us. When they called the adult racers, a family who had been in front of us when we bought the races got called, but we didn't. After that race ended, the junior racers were called, but our junior racer wasn't included. That's when we realized we were supposed to be in the previous race, according to what the cashier had told us. We asked how much longer it would be, and they said another 20 minutes. We waited again--this time about 40 minutes--and still not a single one of our names was called. We asked yet again how much longer it would be, and the employee said he honestly didn't know and that people sometimes wait up to 8 hours, which I find very hard to believe. At that point, we were fed up and asked for a refund and left. In my opinion, waiting over 2 hours for maybe a 30-minute experience is not worth it. One employee even completely ignored me when I asked about the wait time--he looked at me and then ignored me. There is also nothing to do while waiting. You could play the crappy arcade games and that will only keep you entertained for 20-30 minutes, plus they cost an extra $15 or more. The track also seemed small, and the food is expensive for low-quality frozen food.

One gripe I have is that I wish the workers were a bit more attentive. We went on Monday and there wasn't anyone at the front desk for maybe 10minutes. They didn't have us watch the safety/instructional video which normally plays on a loop at the front of the pit gate. We had two double karts because our kids are young and we were put in a race with multiple other adults. The employees in the pit were good, one was a young lady who seemed new and a young man who obviously had much more experience. I'm on the shorter side and he recognized I needed the pedals adjusted and a booster seat. He also rechecked all our belts because the girl didn't put them on tight enough. So during our race we had to go slowly for the first lap, but then it was on! Unfortunately, I had to go slow because my daughter is small and apprehensive about the whole experience. I'm sure we were a hindrance for the faster racers, but most were very respectful and drove around us. One person in particular (an older black man who uses the name "007 Speed") hit me into the barrier 3 times and hit my husband and son's kart at least twice. He hit us with such force both of my kids have been complaining of neck pain. I told the experienced male employee but no consequences for Mr. 007 Speed even though each time he hit us they overhead announced, "No hitting other drivers or barriers. Next time you will be out of the race." When the race was done Mr. 007 Speed never acknowledged what he did or apologized. As we were leaving we saw him complaining at the front desk. So overall, I really like this place. It's geared for children and families, but definitely for anyone who wants to have fun. It would be ideal if they grouped drivers separately like they do for junior racers. So I have very mixed feelings about this place. Some things are incredible. Some things are not…read moreso great. I am a member of the "Legends" club. So that to me means it's top of the line membership as indicated by their pricing and what we get. So I feel I should get top notch deals, pricing and service. Turns out, we get the same shaft as the lower club members. Starting with the good, the location is pristine. Nice area with lots of room for kids and adults to mingle and play. The wine is also pretty darn good. Of course there are some better than others but I enjoy most of their wine. The service is also for the most part very good. The waitstaff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Their food is also pretty darn good. It's not incredible, and a bit overpriced but it's fine enough. Their wine pricing is also fair (but of course with the highest membership we get the biggest discount). My biggest complaints would be the price gouging and lack of communication. We made arrangements on a Friday to show Sunday with 6 and asked for the "VIP space upgrade to lounge or upstairs Vista Patio Lounge (when available)". They said no problem. When we showed on Sunday they said it was closed with no notice. Just a sorry. OK whatever. We sit inside (6 people and 2 children) and they charge for 2 children a "non drinker" charge of $10 ($5 each). A head count charge for non-drinkers? For children? Total nonsense! I am spending over $1,200 a year here and you want to gouge me for someone's kids? Their tastings are $40 a pop which is really crazy. Our price is waived on this so that's fine but if you are not a member you are paying a lot for a little. The wines do take a bit of time to come and they don't give you a lot. Kind of a bummer waiting for the taste. We ended up with 4 appetizers (sliders $24, Charcuterie $25, Tater Tots $12 and Pretzel Bites with Grilled Sausage $16) 2 bottles of wine and $4.25 for water and the bill was over $250. Oh and top that off, with 6 people, they charge a mandatory 20% on the bill for a tip and are basing that with taxes (as the button default), not the actual sub-total so they are actually getting about 23%. All in all, I am not sure that the cost is worth what you get. I mean we are giving them a lot of money just to be members and then having to pay more and more for anything else that really should be included (like water and kids) makes this place just a bit too over-rated for me. Probably end my club membership in the fall and go someplace that doesn't place money first.
