Pros: Friendly business that was able to get me in for a full new set. The lady doing my nails knew what she was doing and was professional. I will admit I am very particular when it comes to how I like my nails and she listened and reworked my nails until they were perfect. Cons: Dirty, unorganized, unsanitary, minimal nail color options. I really wanted this place to be cleaner and it would have been my "go to". 14 yrs at this location. I was the only one there at 4 pm on Thursday afternoon. With a little TLC this place could be amazing, as is, it's passable at best. read more

That shop CUT so much out on an ingrown toenail, now I have to go to a foot doctor to get the toenail removed. I will never go anywhere else but AZ Excellent Nails. They really live up to their name here. The couple who owns the salon is truly delightful and my friend and I really enjoyed conversing with them while we got our nails done. My nails looked great when I left and they really spent the time while we were there. They also fit us in on a last minute call when an appointment somewhere else fell through. Their massage chairs aren't the best here but they more than make up for that with their service and personalities. read more

This was not my usual place BUT i was definitely PLEASANTLY surprised! It was a Sunday at 355, and all the nail salons closed at 5. I had a nail emergency (i broke a nail plus needed an updated gel manicure &my main place was too busy). I called & they said "come on in!" The main guy even called back to make sure i knew how to find them, since they are hidden. The shop was not as glamorous as other places, but dont be turned off! More like a Diamond inta Rough! Jennifer was very nice, got the hint that i dont chitchat too much & 'acryliced' the broken nail as well as executed a FANTASTIC gel manicure. I am super picky... i loved her work! I even waited a few days and NO CHIPPING! Super reasonable price too! Dont underestimate them, come here for great gel manicures! read more

Worst experience at a nail salon EVER. On a Saturday only had 1 person working. Took forever to start on me. Then refused to soak my nails until I stopped looking at my phone even though they weren't ready to soak my nails and didn't have the foil or alcohol ready yet! I told them I would put it away when they started and the man still argued with me. I was sending a text to my babysitter! read more

This is the first time I've been here and I'll never go back. The shop was dirty. There was dust everywhere and piles of paper and boxes stacked all around. Even the girl doing my nails had a shirt on that was covered in dust. Although they got me in right away, which I appreciate, I felt like it was a total rush job. She barely filed my nails and the shape is pretty bad. She then threw the polish on and it looks thin and not very shiny. They also have a small selection of gel and I ended up with a color that came out a good 10 years ago. I can't imagine how this place manages to stay open. read more

I am forever loyal to them and will NOT go anywhere else for my pedicures. They are both wonderful & professional and their new salon is absolutely cozy and perfect. They have become like family and I cannot recommend a better place for manicure/pedicure services. TOP notch and high quality and just VERY great people. You won't be disappointed. Very friendly service was the biggest perk of this nail salon. I felt that the salon was not very clean (there were some moths flying around?), lots and lots of dust behind the pedicure chairs, and I didn't see the tools being taken from sanitized packages or containers. There was either no massage on the pedicure chairs, or it wasn't working. The foot soak tubs seemed like they needed to be cleaned. The pedicure itself turned out ok (paint job) but my heels weren't super smooth after. With the large amount of options around, I would not return. read more

I came in for an acrylic nail fill and a pedicure. I called first and made an appointment for in an hour, which was perfect for my schedule. Jennifer did both services and I am extremely pleased with the results. I am very picky with how my nails are done, but I didn't even need to tell Jennifer, because she is an expert in her field. She is not chatty, which I appreciate but is willing to talk about anything you want making it a relaxing experience. Ask about her identical twin daughters! The pictures on the walls are precious. The people were nice and friendly but I am surprised this location was rated 5 stars. The pedicure chair was uncomfortable and the water was borderline cold. The massage chair didn't work either which was sad because I was really looking forward to some relaxation. My pedicure was average. I relocated to AZ from the suburbs of Chicago in May and found this gem of a salon by chance, as it was near the temporary home I rented. I have since purchased a home near San Tan Valley but, I continue to drive 45 minutes to an hour for my nail appointments! After too long of neglecting myself I went with my bff to her favorite nail salon.We were warmly welcomed to this very clean salon by Billy and Jennifer.As my first step back to caring for myself I started with an eyebrow wax.Jennifer took such gentle care with me that I did not shed a tear as I had always previously in other salons.My friend had pedicure and set of French tips manicure.She was so relaxed I thought she was about to nap.During our visit everyone happily showed me what they had done and stated this was their choice in salons.Both Billy and Jennifer were attentive and really wanted to know and do exactly what each client wanted.The entire experience was very positive.I'm looking forward to next visit and plan to take next step in my back to beauty care. read more

I came here after searching for a salon on Yelp that had good client reviews. I called ahead, and arrived about 20 minutes after the scheduled time I was given over the phone. No worries! The gentleman was so professional and nice. I already liked the feel of the place. Just some great, tranquil energy. His sweet wife comes out and greets me. I tell her what I want. She does exactly what I asked for. My pedicure looks great. Nothing fancy. Just the regular deal with sea salt massage and callous remover. Only $5 extra for each. I can live with that! Not a huge color selection here, but sufficient for some good choices. Regulars started coming in about 45 minutes into my pedicure. One just stopped by with her puppy to say hi. These owners obviously create a rapport with their clients. A walk-in arrived who sat next to me for her pedi, and she and the tech started talking like old friends. I like this place. This is the only nail salon I use when I visit AZ. Billy and Jennifer offer quality nail services with a helpful friendly attitude. The salon isn't fancy but it is clean and prices are reasonable. They listen to you and give you exactly what you request without trying to up-sell or give you any attitude. Sometimes nail salons can be very unwelcoming. This is not the case with Billy and Jennifer. My Mother and 96 year old Grandfather also frequent the salon. They always make us feel comfortable and very welcome. After nine years in business at the same Mesa location, they must be doing something right! read more

Best nail salon I've been to! Great experience. The staff is a couple - Jennifer & Billy, and they are the sweetest! By far the nicest nail technicians I've ever encountered. Although the color selection is rather small, the choices are neutral and good for an older crowd. I managed to pick a bright pink though- totally me. The prices are moderate-not too expensive. Definitely my new favorite nail spot- they won me over with kindness!!! Never in my life have I met such nice nail technicians-as they are usually rude and short with me.
