The lady that did my nails argued with me about everything. I know how nails are supposed to be filed and asked her to do it in one direction on each side so my nails don't give me hang nails. She didn't like me asking her to do it. She got the pot lady next door involved too. She didn't french nail color and it looked messy, i just wanted to get away! It's been about a week since I got a set done here and my nails are still holding up very well, still shiny too! The nail tech did a great job removing my old nails without any pain. I asked for coffin shape with glitter Ombre which he executed okay. My only downside is my thumb nail was crooked and when I asked him if he would fix it very well in the beginning of shaping and filing, he said he would do it but never did. I haven't had my nails done in quite some time because I felt that acrylics had taken a toll on them. After taking a year off, I heard great things about Rene and was eager to try builder gel, or "Beauty gel," as it's called at this location. When I called to check if Rene was available, I learned she was no longer there, but I decided to give the salon a shot anyway. Unfortunately, the results were quite disappointing. My nails turned out messy and bumpy, falling far short of my expectations. The price was also on the high side, which made it even less worthwhile. Thought I would give a new place a try today and was highly Disappointed in the service I received. I got the exfoliating pedicure that came with an 8 minute massage, the nail tech, Kelly, only gave me a 4 minute massage and of that 4 minutes she stopped 2-3 times to check her phone. The entire time she did my pedicure she was on the phone with Bank of America with her account info all pulled up and stopping MULTIPLE times to give them info they needed. At one point - she walked to the back to continue her conversation and left the hot towels on my legs for so long they were cold. She asked me what color I wanted at least 5x because she couldn't remember because she was too busy on the phone. I was never offered a drink or even conversed with the entire time I was here. Not to mention none of the tools she used were removed from a sanitary bag. (That's just my preference to know they were sanitized properly). When you're spending $50+ on a service that takes less than an hour, I think it's reasonable to expect quality service. I just did not receive that here. To the worst of it -- the painting. I asked for simple white French tips with a snowflake. It took over an hour for her to begin painting (due to constant stopping to talk on the phone), and when she started the tips the were uneven. I don't mean to be rude, but I truly believe I could do a better job... when I asked her if she could straighten the lines out she said it looked like that because "your nails are tiny" I get French tips almost monthly and have never had an issue anywhere else and I don't believe my nails are small by any means. I eventually just switched my design to straight white with no tips. I ran out of time and patience. Left here unsatisfied without the design I was hoping for. Update : spoke to manager, they declined a refund due to their employees working on commission. He offered to provide me with another service free of charge. I will update this review if/when I receive that service. I have no issue changing this to a positive review if I am given a better experience on my next visit. I appreciate the managers response and look forward to this to be made right. read more

I've been coming here about 3 years. Originally, I'd take whoever was available. Over time, I've become quite attached to Renee and will openly express that she's my tech. Let's talk about the salon first. The salon is always clean. The staff is friendly and I'm greeted by name. If you have a concern the owners, John and Thi will make it right, not that I have any. The business is not huge so to me, it's more personable. Homie. Now, the nails. So, if you want the most fabulous nails around, there is no contest. Renee is the bomb.com! She is quick and her quality is above any I've ever had. Nails matter people. I have a job that requires me to interact with many as a leader. I am confident every time I get out of her chair. I'm always in and out within an hour, for a shellac manicure and pedicure I think that's great. The staff is very friendly. Most importantly the ladies do a wonderful job! If you just want a basic manicure or acrylic set with a straight forward polish, this is drive on by. I had a refill, but wanted different polish styles, and a design on one nail for an upcoming trip.After being told by my nail tech she nor ANY OTHER TECH in the salon could draw a flamingo-I let her talk me into another option(bad on me). We went with the option of using the colors for design. My nails were nothing like my inspiration photos, nor the ones we 'agreed to', and they are thick like a dog's. Nothing like the color play she repeated 3x before painting. She insisted her way was better than my concept. I wasn't asked if I wanted my nails trimmed, and while shaping, she totally changed my shape. My daughter was with me, the lady doing her pedicure was simply RUDE to her. At least her nails resemble her inspiration photo. I should have left- I had 'that feeling' before my tech started. I was already 1/2 into my pedicure (which was nice), when she started my nails. I found my nail salon!!! I live in the Katy area and there are SO many nail salon options. My friend and I stopped in on a weekday around 11 am for full sets and we could not be happier. This place is so bright with natural light and clean. The staff was great. I had Emma and she did a dip French tip on me and my fiend and John (If I remember his name correctly) and they sat us by each other so we could all 4 chat :) they offered us mimosa and let us pick our colors from our seats. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone and will be making appointments for my mother and teenager daughter soon! read more

Great customer service is hard to come by these days and I really appreciate that. Amy was the pedicure technician, so if you go there for a pedi you should ask for her!! Original review: I got a gel manicure and herbal pedicure. Unfortunately I didn't catch technician names. The good: - I got a same-day appointment and was seated quickly upon arrival. - The salon is clean and upscale - The pedicure (minus polish) was amazing, 5 stars on its own. The technician was gentle and meticulous. It didn't feel like the usual "quickly go through the usual steps and get done quickly" you get at other places. I felt like she put care and effort into each task. The leg massage felt incredible. I would make this my go-to salon and never stray if the manicure was anything like the pedicure, it was that good. The bad: - For my manicure, I started with a technician that seemed great, but she was quickly swapped with someone else. The new technician was rough, rushed, and sloppy. - The first technician had already prepped my nails for gel removal, but the new technician took a harsh file board and feverishly filed over the gel, scraping my skin multiple times. - After acetone she scraped the gel off my nails with the metal took with such force that I was wincing. I didn't say anything and that's on me. By the time the old gel was removed, it felt like several layers of nail were removed as well and my nails were now paper thin. - she rushed through the nail clean-up steps without care - I'm used to a short hand/arm massage with manicure but there was none here - she paid more attention to her phone than to the manicure, and even took a (not quick) call in the middle of the manicure (and had her ringer on the loudest setting) - she talked through the whole thing with the other technicians across the room. Even when I was getting the pedi massage and trying to relax. - she shoved and swatted my hands, like when she was done with one hand she just shoved it away hard toward my lap. - Just as my toes were ready to paint, the awesome pedicure technician swapped out to let the manicure technician paint my toes. The polish on the toes is worse than my nails and she smudged it putting my sandals on (without giving them any time to dry). The ugly: These nails. They are awful. Extremely extremely disappointed . Went in on Monday to get a dipping powder manicure and a deluxe pedicure. Due to my past experience I asked the manicurist not to use the machine on my nails and it was thinning my nails out, so he buffered them well and went ahead. My nails are just coming off and the job done is petty.. not neat at all. I told the guy to fix my cuticles so the polish could look nice and he said it was extra and I said ok I will pay for it. It's not even a week yet and 3 of my nails fell off and the cuticles look ugly. Very untidy job for the $45 I spent for the nails. Never going back again. I am extremely furious and angry. read more

It doesn't matter who does my nails here, they're all good. My nails always look flawless. I get a dip manicure on my real nails and a regular pedicure. I have been going here since I moved to Katy 2 years ago and they have never cut me, and they don't go crazy on cutting my cuticles to where they feel raw, like most nail salons. It's a relaxing environment, they do offer you wine, water, champagne, etc. I would make an appointment here because they do turn walk-in clients down if they're too busy. I can always get a same day appointment, so just call them and book something to be sure they have room for you. Also, very important, they are affordable! I love this location for pedicure, but manicures are very poor here. This review is in specific about my last manicure, 2 days ago at this location. here is what was wrong with my manicure: - there are random glitters on tip of couple of my nails. Meaning the technician does not clean her brushes!! - after we done, i noticed corner of my thumb had NO product on!! the technician offered to fix it. But as you can see in the picture she pushed my cuticles so far back just to repair the corner instead of redoing the nail! I am so upset with how terrible this looks. - lastly, the next morning i noticed a crack in the middle of the same nail! Which means she never applied the last coatings correctly. I decided to go here after reading the reviews. I had my pedicure done by Amy and my shellac manicure by Holly. They sanitized before and after my visit. Also, I didn't feel like I was being rushed. I'm not the most decisive person when it comes to choosing colors for my nails and Holly and Amy made sure I was satisfied with the colors I chose; they even offered some suggestions. I had the best experience with Thi! She knew exactly what I wanted (dipping powder + stones). She also gave me advice on what would appear better on my small nail bed regarding rhinestone arrangement. I appreciated that because it was my first time using them. Their selection is huge -- they have so many different colored polishes, gels, and powders. We had a lovely conversation about my plans that weekend and the occasion for having my nails done this time. She also did not push on upselling me any services which I am so grateful for!
