I was disappointed with my recent pedicure. I called the salon to inquire about their ability to remove my deep ingrown toenails, and they confirmed that they could do so. However, the technician barely attempted to extract the ingrown toenails and was unable to do so because "my toes would bleed". As a result, the ingrown toenails remained in place, and my toes continue to hurt. Additionally, two days after my pedicure, I noticed that my nail polish had already started to come off. The technician also failed to clean up my heels properly, and the massage during the pedicure was not good. Considering the quality of my services and the fact that my nail polish should not have come off within two days, I am disappointed with the overall experience. I went yesterday and the tech completely messed up my set--everything looks sloppy and not worth the $150 I paid. The original tech I usually go to wasn't available, and when I mentioned it, the lady at the front was extremely rude, telling me she can't force my usual tech to come in when she has a sick child. I understand life happens, but the way it was handled was unprofessional and disrespectful. The salon itself looks nice, but appearances are deceiving. For the prices they charge, the work should match the cost--and it doesn't. Now its time for them to fix it and they are telling me the techs are commission based. No. Literally the worst set of nails I have ever had. I asked for almond and I left with globs of acrylic on my hands. I even asked the tech once to make them more slim. This is ridiculous. And as I'm fuming, waiting to pay for shit nails, I had to wait until over 10 minutes just to pay. No one at the register asked me about my experience.... So here it is. This is not my first bad experience here. The last visit, in early June was equally disappointing. I've been coming here maybe 9 months now. I followed my pedicure tech here from another salon. The location is a little further out from where I used to go, but it's no problem. The area is really nice and they're building a lot out that way. The salon itself is very interesting and not as upscale looking as my previous salon, but it is very clean and very comfortable. Instead of techs cleaning up after each appointment, there is dedicated custodial staff to handle the after appointment clean up, making the techs much more efficient. I have the nail and pedicure tech of my choice, so I haven't tried anyone else here, but you can choose who you would like when making the appointment. Their website is great and you can schedule appointments yourself, which I prefer. This salon has a full bar and the drinks are not weak! My favorite is the White Russian. The only issue I've found is parking at busy times can be tricky as the parking lot is not big enough for the number of storefronts. I've always found something, but it's been packed several times. The staff here is extremely friendly, helpful, and I don't think you'd regret giving them a try. read more

I am thoroughly enjoying my experiences at this salon. I have never had an OMG I hate my nails experience here. I have tried several of the techs and have now settled in with who I enjoy the most & are most comfortable with. In the past, if I ever wasn't comfortable with something, I'd speak up at the time politely, & that was not because of tech lack of ability, it was because I wasn't liking the look. I have told them straight up, I'm not in a hurry, don't like being rushed on making color choices, don't need special shapes to be charged an extra $5. My pedicure tech is amazing at taking care of and watching a toe that is prone to an ingrown. I do not expect her to do what a podiatrist should do for ingrowns, that is unreasonable. You want your pedicure to last longer, get shellac put on. It may cost just a little more but very much worth the charge - I can usually go a good 3-4 weeks on a pedicure! I am absolutely blown away by the service, cleanliness and overall experience here! I decided to come in since the location is so close to home for a removal and full set. I was a walk in and was immediately welcomed by the front staff. I went over what I wanted and received a quote which I really liked - no hidden fees. The lounge is so clean, aesthetic and absolutely pretty. I noticed there were staff members cleaning up polishes and certain areas of the salon which I really appreciated. I was taken care of by Amber and she definitely delivered. I showed her what I wanted as well as the specific shape. I usually go to this place and the service isn't bad but this time I went and the service was terrible! I only got a manicure and was charged $108 when I usually only pay that much for a manicure and a pedicure! The lady that I had was rude when I asked her to make my nails shorter and to fix the lines, I had to keep going back and forth. Then I go back an hour later to get them fixed after calling and they looked at them and said they understood my issues. I then get a new lady and she acted like she didn't want to be doing my nails. I get up to leave and then they charge me an ADDITIONAL $20 saying that I had "already agreed" on the previous design when I had to keep asking for it be fixed, for fixing their poor service and the work was still poor. (I have attached pictures of the 1st set and the 2nd). Overall SPEAK UP FOR YOURSELF EVEN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE A BOTHER OR ARE SCARED! Showed up right before they opened and was the first one in the door. Don't have an appointment but it was me and my daughter. I know women like to go and relax at the nail salon and not be interrupted with kids but they also like to go and spend time with their daughters. Today was supposed to be a girl day with mine and after sitting for 20 minutes and watching 14 other women who walked in after me also without an appointment i was then taken to a chair for a service NOT on my ticket. When i said i wasn't there for a manicure but 2 pedicures she then sat me and my daughter off to the side to sit for another 10 minutes. We were forgotten and finally had enough. I walked out after wasting a half hour for no reason and feel like they alienated me simply because my daughter was there with me. Ridiculous. I've left reviews for Kiara before but I had to come back and leave another review. I get my nails done pretty regularly here and typically I go back for a fill every 2-3 weeks. Well my last set was before summer officially started and as a teacher it can be really hard to make me time at the end of the school year. I was expecting these bad boys to start falling off like loose teeth but they held up. I packed up an entire classroom and moved furniture as well as helped carry a fridge out of a lounge! I was really expecting it to be the end for my nails. Nope they held on still looking fresh. Obviously very out grown lol but I just couldn't make it to the salon. Now it was the end of week 5. I flew to California on the last day of school and went on a vacation with these overgrown nails and I am not going to even lie when I tell you this picture is taken in California almost 6 weeks and at this point I was playing a game to see if they could make it back to Texas! I can't stress enough how amazing the QUALITY is at this salon. My past reviews have always been praising Kiara for their amazing customer service and genuine kindness from the staff, but I have not actually spoken on the quality of their products. OUTRAGEOUS and the paint job turned out horrible. My full set came out to be $60. They charged me $5 for shape and another $5 for LONGER LENGTH. Please tell me why they charged me for longer length when they had to cut down my nails. Shape should be INCLUDED in the full set. It's a scam coming to this nail salon. The boutique is beautifully decorated, clean and welcoming. The music is not too loud and everyone was busy and really look like they are all on their game. I HAD been going to this salon since I moved back to Katy in April. Faithfully, I went every 2-3 weeks and spent no less than $150 per visit, always tips my nail artist a minimum of $10 each. I have always bragged about the artist work and the overall design of the salon; and, although I knew the prices were higher than most, I continued to speak highly of the salon because I loved the work that was done on my nails. A little before Halloween I had black dip done with a matte finish in a coffin shape. 60 for dip with a manicure, 10 for matte, 5 for coffin. $75 + a $14 tip, so $89 I HAPPILY paid. However, if I'm paying $89 for dip nails with a salon minimum 10 day guarantee, then if a nail breaks I'm going to call the salon. On day 5, my nail broke in the corner but I just used my own black paint and touched it up because I knew they'd be busy for Halloween. By days 6 &7, my nails were lifting and when I'd run my fingers through my hair they were snagging. With that, I called the salon and asked the receptionist if I could book with my stylist (Millie) and PAY FOR A REFILL to address the lifting and PAY to get the chip fixed by removing and adding a new tip (I use my natural nails but it was cracked so it needed a tip). The receptionist looked into my account and said, "oh, it's been under 10 days so if you come in we can look at your nails and possibly fix them for free bc they shouldn't have broke." I was so surprised and happy, and I went in that same evening and did just that except the male manager (who is the owner's brother) did my nails. But, they used the same black powder and matte finish on top. The same day after the fix, a nail chipped again. I decided to put a spot of black sharpie and then went about my business. This time, two and three days later and my nails were literally crumbling on the sides and lifting. As mentioned above, I overlay my natural nail with the dip powder so when the nails were crumbling on the sides, it was not only compromising the shape of the nails that I paid extra for, but compromising my real nails and if I filed them to smooth it out then my nails would be filed away thinner and thinner, and I can't wear super pointed nails for my profession. I called back on day three and spoke to a different receptions and literally so politely explained what happened. I said, "I believe there is something wrong with the black dip power and matte overlay. I think one of the products, or both, are expired bc my dip powder has been crumbling and I've been going here since April and that never happened before. Can I make an appointment with Amy since Millie is out of town and come in today?" She said yes and I drove to the salon. Unbeknownst to me, the manager pulled me aside to look at my nails and said that the receptionist told him that I WAS TALKING CRAP ABOUT HIM AND THE SALON!!! And she had the audacity to tell him that I said his work was poor and so was Millie's and that I want free nails!!!!!!!!! I was SHOCKED and apologized profusely for literally something that I did NOT say nor do, and he said "it must have been a miscommunication Khelse, it's all love, it's okay." I said "well it wasn't a miscommunication because those words never came out of my mouth," and I told him that if he records phone calls at the salon then I am 110% comfortable with him pulling that call. The manager does my nails again but this time we switch colors and we don't use the matte overlay. At the end of the appointment he then tells me that I am "NOT WELCOME BACK to the salon" because he "doesn't feel like their nail techs can live up to [my] standards and liking." My jaw literally hit the floor. I, ever so stupidly, apologized again and again for things that I didn't say and begged him to reconsider. I said I've been going here for 6 months, twice a month, and I love their work so much that I have someone who literally flys in from a different state to get their nails done monthly bc of how much I bragged on them!!! He then said "ok you can come to get a pedicure," and repeated his other two reasons several times. At this point, I was so hurt and insulted that he insinuated that I just wanted to abuse their people's efforts and time for a free service that I was EXPECTING TO AND WILLING TO pay for both times. It was their decision to tell me their 10 day rule and their judgment call upon inspecting my nails for damage to determine they needed to be fully replaced! So, I said "ok, I'm sorry you feel that way," and left politely without making a scene (which honestly props to me because that was embarrassing, people could hear him!) and I CRIED MY EYES OUT. read more

I'll start by stating that I'm a Virgo so I'm particular and notice every small detail. I love this nail salon!! If you live nearby and are looking for a nail salon, please give them a try! I bring my mom here and she loves it too. My mom is a stroke survivor so her hand is affected by the stroke and can be difficult to work with. Heidi is her go to mani specialist. She is incredibly patient and kind - all the staff are! This is something I don't take for granted since we have had experiences of other salons charging extra to work on my mom's hand due to her disability (something I'm sure isn't legal). I personally love Heidi, Kathy, Amber, and Tran. Amber gives an amazing massage and does my full sets and refills. She's great! My cuticles are clean, shape is perfect (not chunky at all) and she cares about her work looking good too! The ambiance is super cute and very clean too.
