Amazing service! First time customer discount! Great selection and very clean. Also lovely drinks while u get ur service done

My wife, daughters and I came for pedicures and my wife forgot her wedding ring on the counter. The next customer that sat down stole it; when caught, she ran to the restroom and we thought she flushed it down the toilet. The owners pulled up the video footage, worked with the police, went to their homes to get a shop vacuum and vacuumed out the water in the toilet. They called a plumber who ended up coming out after hours to disassemble the toilet to see if it was in the pea trap. They ended up finding it in the trash can and got it back to me! The culprit went to jail. Exceptional service and honest, good, trustworthy people. They will have our business for forever!! read more

Horrible customer service. I arrived with about 50 minutes left before closing and was still refused service. The way I was treated felt discriminatory and racially motivated, which made the experience extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place. read more

Mani pedi combo. Showed up without an appointment. Was seated right away while they gathered things and people didn't wait long and got a drink. I don't get my nails done frequently maybe 2x a year. Pedicure is immaculate. Mani is neat and clean. Pricey IMO but don't know what to compare to other than last year. Got completed timely. Overall I'd go again. read more

Pretty interior. Parking is ok during the early day, gets packed later. Full complimentary bar. I got a strawberry mimosa. Didn't look pretty big tasted good , that's what counts! I got dip powder and I think she did a pretty good job! If it's your first time there, the revel will give you a free travel size hand cream. I like this place. I'll be back. read more

I'm a French tip girly, and I asked Vivian to freestyle a French tip set! The base is dip, the French is drawn. I was referred to her by my good friend, & she did not disappoint! Im a simple girl, and I'm pleased. Definitely turning it up a notch with the next set though, can't wait!! Great service, welcoming energy, quick & neat. I've finally found my new nail tech :] read more

I wanted to love this place it was beautiful had plenty of staff and it was super busy. But I asked the lady to fix a few nails there was a gap between the nail and powder color and instead of filling it she filed it down. And I didn't like that with time its going to make that part of my nails weak. I will not be returning. On the plus side she was done in less then 30min and it was inexpensive. I really wanted to love the place. She also was on such a hurry when she filed my nails she cut me . I felt like it was more quantity over quality. read more

Wow, just wow. I'm absolutely impressed with this place. The front desk staff were amazing and friendly. My girlfriend and I just walked in (no appointments) and were able to get gel mani and pedicure. I had Tracy (which I highly recommend), she knows what she's doing and super accommodating. Mon-Wed they have happy hour until 3pm which is 15% off. We came on a Thursday around noon and they had a discount on certain pedicures (10% off). Great quality work and I will be bringing friends here! read more

Onyx Nail Bar - Gel manicure! - Nail Salons Near Me - Richmond, Texas

I am on the hunt to find a new consistent nail salon. Well I tried onyx based on how many good reviews they had. The have a full bar in there and the salon is pretty clean. I had no issues with the staff who serviced me besides the miscommunication of asking for square round but received coffin which I was charged extra for. Well what really turned me off was the receptionist charging me an extra 18 bucks for a service I didn't have. It wasn't until I walked out and saw the receipt did I realized I was overcharged. Not sure what happened there but I definitely got my refund. I will possibly try to give this place another try as my friend walked in the door and swore by the nail technician she goes to (I will just always double check my receipt because I do not play that). My pedicure and manicure overall turned out well. I did notice some bubbles on one of my nails after being taken out the light but It can barley be seen read more

I have been coming here for many years and always a great environment and you feel welcomed the moment you walk in. Aleena is amazing and we love to visit which I love. She also wants to make sure you are happy with her service, which I always am. She gives me fun ideas for my acrylic/gel nails for hands. Nancy has been doing my pedicures and always helpful picking cool colors and does an amazing job! read more

I was hoping to find a salon and tried it a few time. The nail tech used both times was rude and tried to up charge without stating price.Ended up having to go to a different salon to fix nails. Always check to things they try to sneak on your bill read more

On purpose, cut my real nail down to nickel and dime on the length of the nail and then nickel and dime you to shape your nail... It's getting ridiculous... I left there for two months three months and went to another nail shop... And try to come back to see if anything is different... And it was not... Gonna look for a new nail salon!!!! read more

It took a really long time for someone to come start my services. My husband was almost done with his pedi before someone came to me. Two hours is too long when 2 different techs are doing the service. The additional charges were outrageous. Charging $10 to run a buffer on husbands toes that's insane and extra $5 to take off my previous dip...$68 just for dipped with American finish (extra $15) and that's in my natural nails so no tips Nope. That's crazy pricing. And I asked multiple times for my teacher discount and didn't get it. We gave 20% tip because it's not the techs fault. Total was $198! Ridiculous. Won't return. read more

Onyx Nail Bar - Way too expensive with all the extra charges and didn't give teachers discount. - Nail Salons Near Me - Richmond, Texas

I've been a consistent customer of Onyx for a while now and the experience is definitely very hit or miss. It took me a couple months for me to find the right nail tech for me that I now regularly book appointments with, but once you find who's right for you the rest is pretty nice. They have a bar for those who want to have a drink during their service as well if that interests anyone. The pedicures are also good, and I usually get the cheapest or second cheapest one. I will say that I dislike how they charge for literally just shaping the nails or to cut them as I feel that's necessary for the service anyway, but that's not a salon specific issue and seemingly is the same at most salons around the area. Overall, it's a pretty good nail salon compared to the others I've been to and I'd check it out of you're interested. I also attached some pictures of sets I've gotten in the past for reference. :-) read more

I couldn't give it 5 starts because of my first experience here. Holly or Hailey did my shellac mani first and it looked like a child painted my nails. I ended up asking someone else to do them. I decided to go back and try again. Tina did my eyebrows the first time and they were perfect!! Tina does my pedi and brows and Bella does my mani's!! This combo here is TOUGH!! Bella is so fun and she does such an amazing job and Tina is so gentle and sweet. I feel bad cheating on my normal shop but these ladies are so good and it's just around the corner. Lona and Tracy are super good too!! Tracy fixed my first experience and Lona did my pedi. Ask for Tina, Bella, Lona or Tracy.. they will take good care of you. read more

I love the check in process and the setup of this nail bar. I'm not the extra type but there were some beautiful sets being done while I was there. Wife review: Beautiful establishment with a full bar. The staff was nice and accommodating and the prices (with the 20% new opening discount) were beyond reasonable. I got a manicure, powder dip, pedicure and eyebrow was for about $85 before tip. Incredible pricing! Unfortunately the quality of the powder dip has been beyond disappointing. The day after the dip I woke up and a full nail of the dip had just fallen off literally overnight. As if it had never even been painted. I went back to Onyx and they were happy to promptly reapply the dip and fix my nail, great! Two days later (this past Saturday), ANOTHER mail worth of dip just completely falls off my nail. We live in Fulshear so making the trek to get it fixed is not reasonable. Just so disappointed! Pictures for reference. read more

This location just opened in the neighborhood at just the right time! The mood/vibes were changing at our old salon and I am extremely happy we found Onyx! I took my daughters (12&9) with me - they have children's services for 10 and under, and they absolutely loved the experience! The environment is healthy and all the techs were happy and accommodating! After checking in you wait at the TOP NOTCH bar until your tech is ready! All three of us got pedicures, and I also got a full set freestyled! When you've been going to the nail shop so long... you just learn to trust the pros! This location is in a newly developed area so it may not pop in your maps but put in Quack Quack car wash and it is across the street. Hurry in because they have a grand opening promotion! After that they will still have weekly promotions! read more

When Onyx first opened I came in as a walk in the 1st week for a mani pedi/ full set shellac. Everyone was so nice. Fast forward may 13,2025 approximately 2:45/ 3ish I came in because one nail was cracked and it had been almost the 2nd week since my last pedicure. So I told the receptionist I had one broken nail but I needed refill and a new pedicure. She looked at my nails asked if I've gotten them done at Onyx and I said yes. She told me to write my phone number down and my name. I then asked her don't you need for me to write down what I'm getting done She told me no just tell her which pedicure I wanted. So I did she directed me to a pedicure area and a the young male did an amazing job on my pedicure. I asked was someone coming to do my nails because he was almost done with my pedicure. He called for the lady to come over. At this time(1 hour later) she fixed one nail but the gel builder was coming off. She asked me am I keeping the same color i told her no I wanted my nail color to match my feet. After I stated that she then tells me that she was under the impression I only wanted one nail fixed! I told her calmly no ma'am I need a refill plus my cracked nail needed to be fixed please which is the same thing I explained up front 1 hour ago. Well this is how I had to leave the shop after I left work early to get my nails and feet done. They gave me an I Don give a shit attitude the poor young man doing my pedicure was even apologizing for their behavior. I'm sickend by the way they treated me after all this time of coming to this nail shop. They embarrassed me in front of other clients. The whole time they were taking new customers while I waited to pay, but didn't have time for my nails. Smh. You can clearly see i needed a refill. Now I have to drive to another shop that won't mind taking my payment. At the end of the day Onyx Nail Bar did not care about me being a loyal customer who always tipped well. They threw my black ass out of the shop like I was trash. I Won't Spend Another Dime Here! Horrible customer service. read more

Even after I asked for them to even out the length it's still so bad. Asked for acrylic natural French nails. Got shellac French with sharp edges. Going home to try to round the edges hurts to even run my hands through my own hair. For their price I'd hope they would at least check things like length, listened to what clients ask for, and clean up their polish. Going home and filing these down hopefully to make them less of a weapon and make them even really bumbed they're shellac because I have to be careful with how much I file. read more

Let me start by saying I have been coming here for a few years, practically since they opened and I love it. I have been loyal to my tech (Erika) and she's never failed me! Best part about this place is the milk and honey pedicure - very hydrating and softness lasts for weeks. The worst part is you will pay atleast $100 for regular polish mani/pedi that lasts 3 hours. Have had entire paint chips come off within 2-3 hours of leaving the salon... twice. This last time I went (because I couldn't base this off of one bad experience) I had asked if something had changed with their polish because this was never an issue before... they said nothing had changed... but clearly something has and I left with another 3 hour mani/pedi. Loved this place prior to June 2023. read more

Super Expensive! Atmosphere white walls and cluttered with nail chairs. I had a very young girl that talked to her friend, went very fast, cut me, and annoyed at me for changing colors, and lastly I did not like the end result. I did enjoy their fun menu of cocktails. When I left my bill was $95 with basic pedicure and a refill w shellac. Plus tip. I hope this helps. read more

Love it here! This place is overhyped. Now, first let me say what I like. I like the ambience, the pedicure was amazing. When it comes to nails RUNNN, I have never seen a place that cannot get a French tip right. Then have the nerve to charge extra for a French tip when they can't even do it. I had to go back the following day for them to fix the French tip, ONLY for them to look worse than before. Two different people did my nails and BOTH times the French was uneven , round, thick , bulky , just plain ugly. I spent $174 with them to only be looking for another place to fix what they can't do. Very sweet people they tried but just was not good. However, the pedicure was cool, massage was great. So to treat your feet ? Yes.. your nails ?? NO MAM ! I do not suggest or recommend. I didn't want diamonds or design .. I just needed a simple FRENCH .. It was beyond difficult for them. Chai. read more

Enjoyed my time here today! I don't always get a chance to pamper myself, especially without kiddos. I love a place that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable when I have to bring one of my children along. After you check in, you make your way to the bar area for a drink. They have alcoholic and non alcoholic options. I chose a lemon drop martini, and my son had a sprite. My nail tech, Tracy, was very efficient and great at pedicures! I love someone who take their time to get the job done well. I love their color options and that I can pick out the perfect color from the chair. Can't wait to return! read more

I got a pedicure done here twice and both times were REALLY good, however i enjoyed Ellie the most!!! The atmosphere is super chic and cute. They serve you good drinks and seem to be very organized. The front desk people are so kind. Every time I come in this place, it is a pleasant experience. This is where you NEED to come to get some you time in, you wont be disappointed.
