The next customer that sat down stole it; when caught, she ran to the restroom and we thought she flushed it down the toilet. The owners pulled up the video footage, worked with the police, went to their homes to get a shop vacuum and vacuumed out the water in the toilet. They called a plumber who ended up coming out after hours to disassemble the toilet to see if it was in the pea trap. They ended up finding it in the trash can and got it back to me! But I asked the lady to fix a few nails there was a gap between the nail and powder color and instead of filling it she filed it down. My girlfriend and I just walked in (no appointments) and were able to get gel mani and pedicure. I had Tracy (which I highly recommend), she knows what she's doing and super accommodating. Mon-Wed they have happy hour until 3pm which is 15% off. We came on a Thursday around noon and they had a discount on certain pedicures (10% off). I am on the hunt to find a new consistent nail salon. Well I tried onyx based on how many good reviews they had. The have a full bar in there and the salon is pretty clean. I had no issues with the staff who serviced me besides the miscommunication of asking for square round but received coffin which I was charged extra for. Well what really turned me off was the receptionist charging me an extra 18 bucks for a service I didn't have. It wasn't until I walked out and saw the receipt did I realized I was overcharged. Not sure what happened there but I definitely got my refund. I will possibly try to give this place another try as my friend walked in the door and swore by the nail technician she goes to (I will just always double check my receipt because I do not play that). It took a really long time for someone to come start my services. My husband was almost done with his pedi before someone came to me. Two hours is too long when 2 different techs are doing the service. The additional charges were outrageous. Charging $10 to run a buffer on husbands toes that's insane and extra $5 to take off my previous dip...$68 just for dipped with American finish (extra $15) and that's in my natural nails so no tips Nope. That's crazy pricing. And I asked multiple times for my teacher discount and didn't get it. We gave 20% tip because it's not the techs fault. Total was $198! Ridiculous. Won't return. read more

I've been a consistent customer of Onyx for a while now and the experience is definitely very hit or miss. It took me a couple months for me to find the right nail tech for me that I now regularly book appointments with, but once you find who's right for you the rest is pretty nice. They have a bar for those who want to have a drink during their service as well if that interests anyone. The pedicures are also good, and I usually get the cheapest or second cheapest one. I will say that I dislike how they charge for literally just shaping the nails or to cut them as I feel that's necessary for the service anyway, but that's not a salon specific issue and seemingly is the same at most salons around the area. Overall, it's a pretty good nail salon compared to the others I've been to and I'd check it out of you're interested. I couldn't give it 5 starts because of my first experience here. Holly or Hailey did my shellac mani first and it looked like a child painted my nails. I ended up asking someone else to do them. I decided to go back and try again. Tina did my eyebrows the first time and they were perfect!! Tina does my pedi and brows and Bella does my mani's!! This combo here is TOUGH!! Bella is so fun and she does such an amazing job and Tina is so gentle and sweet. I feel bad cheating on my normal shop but these ladies are so good and it's just around the corner. Wife review: Beautiful establishment with a full bar. The staff was nice and accommodating and the prices (with the 20% new opening discount) were beyond reasonable. I got a manicure, powder dip, pedicure and eyebrow was for about $85 before tip. Incredible pricing! Unfortunately the quality of the powder dip has been beyond disappointing. The day after the dip I woke up and a full nail of the dip had just fallen off literally overnight. As if it had never even been painted. I went back to Onyx and they were happy to promptly reapply the dip and fix my nail, great! Two days later (this past Saturday), ANOTHER mail worth of dip just completely falls off my nail. I took my daughters (12&9) with me - they have children's services for 10 and under, and they absolutely loved the experience! When Onyx first opened I came in as a walk in the 1st week for a mani pedi/ full set shellac. Everyone was so nice. Fast forward may 13,2025 approximately 2:45/ 3ish I came in because one nail was cracked and it had been almost the 2nd week since my last pedicure. So I told the receptionist I had one broken nail but I needed refill and a new pedicure. She looked at my nails asked if I've gotten them done at Onyx and I said yes. She told me to write my phone number down and my name. I then asked her don't you need for me to write down what I'm getting done She told me no just tell her which pedicure I wanted. So I did she directed me to a pedicure area and a the young male did an amazing job on my pedicure. I asked was someone coming to do my nails because he was almost done with my pedicure. He called for the lady to come over. At this time(1 hour later) she fixed one nail but the gel builder was coming off. She asked me am I keeping the same color i told her no I wanted my nail color to match my feet. After I stated that she then tells me that she was under the impression I only wanted one nail fixed! I told her calmly no ma'am I need a refill plus my cracked nail needed to be fixed please which is the same thing I explained up front 1 hour ago. Well this is how I had to leave the shop after I left work early to get my nails and feet done. They gave me an I Don give a shit attitude the poor young man doing my pedicure was even apologizing for their behavior. I'm sickend by the way they treated me after all this time of coming to this nail shop. They embarrassed me in front of other clients. The whole time they were taking new customers while I waited to pay, but didn't have time for my nails. Smh. You can clearly see i needed a refill. Now I have to drive to another shop that won't mind taking my payment. At the end of the day Onyx Nail Bar did not care about me being a loyal customer who always tipped well. Even after I asked for them to even out the length it's still so bad. Asked for acrylic natural French nails. Got shellac French with sharp edges. Going home to try to round the edges hurts to even run my hands through my own hair. For their price I'd hope they would at least check things like length, listened to what clients ask for, and clean up their polish. Going home and filing these down hopefully to make them less of a weapon and make them even really bumbed they're shellac because I have to be careful with how much I file. read more

Best part about this place is the milk and honey pedicure - very hydrating and softness lasts for weeks. The worst part is you will pay atleast $100 for regular polish mani/pedi that lasts 3 hours. Have had entire paint chips come off within 2-3 hours of leaving the salon... twice. This last time I went (because I couldn't base this off of one bad experience) I had asked if something had changed with their polish because this was never an issue before... they said nothing had changed... but clearly something has and I left with another 3 hour mani/pedi. Two different people did my nails and BOTH times the French was uneven , round, thick , bulky , just plain ugly. I spent $174 with them to only be looking for another place to fix what they can't do. Very sweet people they tried but just was not good. However, the pedicure was cool, massage was great. So to treat your feet ? Yes.. your nails ?? NO MAM ! I do not suggest or recommend. I came and got my nails done about 2 weeks ago now; I'm impressed. My nail tech Vivian did an OUTSTANDING job. My nails are not lifting. My design has not chipped. They are growing out so beautifully, no HUGE bump or red lines on my nails because of too much drilling. I got a pedicure done here twice and both times were REALLY good, however i enjoyed Ellie the most!!! The atmosphere is super chic and cute. They serve you good drinks and seem to be very organized. Tbh, I've been coming here since they opened and I've had really great experiences. Today though, not so great: my pedi, I felt was rushed and just uneven / thick coat & not even. My Full set, for an extra $25 is not worth it. It's cute, but the lack of effort for the simple lines could have been better. For $110, def won't be back, sadly. I know everyone does a different job, but they shouldn't let people work on others, if they still need some type of training. For the amount I paid, I feel ripped off.
