They told me moving forward if I want all hair removed from the front they will charge me for a brazilian ($65) which in my opinion is "cutting corners" with pricing and service. Reason being is that I do NOT want a butt strip. At European Wax Center they only charge me ($56) for a FULL bikini up to my standards. I also came by today wanting to purchase their "clarifying" spray because I do enjoy their line of products. The front desk lady had no interest on helping me look for the product and I walked out without my purchase I wanted. I'am disappointed with the company and will no longer be giving my business here. I showed up at 4 pm at the salon. I called and called and the door is locked. No one. I get a text back saying I should not have used the website and should have called her directly. Well clearly she doesn't pick up all the time. Not picking up once now either. She said she was busy running errands than said she was at the doctors. She texted me saying sorry for the inconvenience and that I should only text her and call, not use website. Now how is a new client supposed to know not to use that site? She then said she checked her appointment this morning and nothing showed up so she was free. That's fine. Most other salons do as well. You have to prepare to go to a wax salon. Shower and clean up and it takes time. Which for me, means taking half a day off when you work downtown. Well she is making it seem like I should have known not to use the appointment website. This was my first experience and my last. She may be good at waxing, but she is not the only one. I prefer to have my time respected especially since I'm paying. I have never gone to another salon for wax but I have heard of another Brazilian salon called Mica's Salon. I told her I will try that one and she sent me another text. All she did was ask me to put my legs up and if I can open them more. I am from a place where service providers often do run late and the payer is expected to still have a pleasant attitude which I did not experience. Definitely would not recommend the vibe is definitely not there, and I will not be back for sure. I originally visited because of their sanitary practices and standards which are that of a dentist office, superbly clean. What an experienced!! It was the most relaxing environment and kind technicians I've ever experienced. They are meticulous. Going slow to be mindful of your cuticles, scrubbing with a brand new foot pumice, using new files and buffer. They take their time when massaging. This is a spa experience, not a cattle call. When we moved in 2024 I continued to make the drive from Houston. This is my place! If you care about your nail health and getting the best service, look no further. Also, the salon is very clean and cute. They do not use pedicure spa chairs (which was part of a class action lawsuit) nor nasty plastic bags inside bowls. Instead everything is cleaned with hospital grade products. I would also like to point out that the person who posted all those pics of her nails and gave them zero stars, has nail damage NOT due to a manicure. That is an unhealthy nail and a manure cannot fix that. This is a salon that cares about your experience as much as your nails. I absolutely love their polish options (again they use only the best and nothing old and junky). This is not an inexpensive investment, but it's worth the extra for my peace of mind.
