This may have just become my go to nail salon. I was very pleased with my set, they got the color exactly how I wanted it and they were so efficient about it. They were a bit longer than I would have wished but they were beautiful. My pedicure and full set (acrylic) were finished at about the same time, which surprised me as most places will seat you for one service then the other. My friends and I all got pedicures and massages as well and likewise, service was great. My set lasted four weeks with minimal lifting in only a few nails on the last week or so. They looked as good as new when I got them removed. Also, after an unsatisfactory removal at a different location, I came back here to get them fixed and they were so kind about it. They completely removed unfinished patches from my nails without any issues. I am so happy with the service, the kind and well done work and can say I would absolutely return. read more

I made a 9am appointment and it took almost two hours for a color powder refill with french tip. Reason being - the first lady who did the white tip...wow. It was so bad, all I could do was laugh and shake my head. It was so uneven. Clumps everywhere. Smeared edges. All around, just terrible and borderline comical. I guess she saw what a bad job it was because someone else came over under the disguise of something about her being too slow. Whatever. New lady comes and takes one look at my nails and starts removing the first persons work without saying a word. Second lady did fine - but I have seen better white tips. Wow, one of the worst manicures I ever had. Even it's their basic manicure, you'd think they'd put some effort into it. The polish didn't even last a day before cracking. My friend and I left the salon with uneven coats of polish and bubbles. I was waiting to see if the staff would notice but they must've not cared even if they did. Now I regret tipping them as much as I did because it was honestly not worth it. I could paint better at home. My hands felt more dry leaving than it did coming in. She said she felt comfortable touching me, The whole side of my face still hurts as I write this, and I got a terrible headache. Really relaxing experience. I tried this place because I really needed to find a better salon than the one I was I was going to. I had read reviews for all their locations and even follow them on IG. Every location was 20 minutes in every direction, so I chose the Katy location. The salon is very clean and the staff is very kind. Definitely one of the worst nail salons I've been to... pretty disappointed with my nail tech because such a poor job was done. Staff was friendly and accommodating, but the manicure itself was just so mediocre. I did dip nails with an accent nail which ended up being $50 which is very practical. However, my biggest pet peeve is when my nails grow out and they start to peel near the cuticle. The nail tech painted too close to my cuticle and did my accent nail extremely sloppily. read more

First time visiting Milano and think I've finally found my go-to salon. Everyone was very welcoming right when I walked in, the salon is super clean. I had to have my previous set of nails, from a different salon, soaked off, then a full set with color powder applied. My tech was friendly, fast and really listened to what I wanted (shape, thickness, etc) and then she did exactly what I asked. I was preoccupied with other thoughts today and forgot to ask her name, but I'll be sure to get it when I return. She also waxed my brows and did them exactly as I wanted. That is really key for me, that they listen and actually hear you, because I'm so particular. This salon does that. They're all about taking care of you and making sure you like the results. I also really like the way the salon is laid out. The pedicure chairs are set up in groups of four, and then one big room with chairs set off to far corners. Each grouping of four is two sets facing each other. It's an intimate setting for when you want to come with girlfriends or just really want a more quiet, relaxing pedicure. Everything about the salon was geared toward relaxation. The music was a good volume, there were TV's playing silently throughout set to different channels so you can pick what to watch. The lighting was nice. Overall I'm super impressed with Milano Nail Salon. I look forward to going back for my refill and having a pedicure. And I'll be taking my mom with me. Monday March 7th my teen daughter and I went to get our nails done at Milano nails. we went here several times before covid and they always did a good job, however this time was clearly a whole different story. My daughter asked for a simple black pattern for her nails, with short nails and with a picture as a guide. black with black glitter, mat black and gloss black. yrs that simple. they guy would not listen to her. he tried givin her silver and other colors then telling her not to put matt top on. they were super thick and she hated them. She didn't want to cause a scene after he wouldn't did it the way she wanted we just decided we would not come back. However my set of nails were not the colors, shape or designs I really wanted & their selection is very limited. so again settled for a color not 100% on and was worried because she did my LONG nails in less than half the time it took the guy to finish my daughters, IM TALKING 35 TO 40 MUNTES. but they looked decent. We paid $135 for 2 full sets. TODAY SUNDAY THE 13TH 6 DAYS LATER!! I walked out of the store and It seemed like I dropped something. I stopped looked down and there was one of my nails on the ground. I was not happy. I were long nails all the time and I am not hard on them, I know how to use them so for me not to be touching something and a nail fall off that shows you the lack of quality. while writing this review have noticed that my right thumb nail is trying to lift off as well. It's so sad that I have to write such a bad review for this place because we went with the highest of hopes. But, after the horrible job Kim did with my mom's nails I had to. My mother and I got there around 5pm on a Monday as a walk-in, there was no one but us in the salon and after a few minutes 2 other women walked in. I was getting a regular mani with shellac and my mother wanted dipping. My person was AWESOME, she took her time with my cuticle (which is one of the hardest things and I usually find that a lot of technicians do not care about even though it literally makes it breaks the mani). Now, my mother was serviced my Kim and this is where it all went south. Highlights below: 1. Initially my mom told Kim that her preference was a thinner dip. She nodded and proceded to start the process. Halfway through I could tell she kept on with the layers so I said something. She nodded again. Still keep at the layers. I had to literally tell my mom to take her hands back and had to tell my technician (the awesome lady) that we needed them to be thin which cause Kim to finally understand. 2. I was almost done with my shellac manicure when I noticed Kim hadn't even started on my mom's other hand. It was 6:30. The place closes at 7. The other two women had ALREADY finished their dip and solar (procedures that also take time). 3. My awesome tech finishes around 6:45 and that's when all of the tech's (except Kim) start to pack up to leave. This is when things turn dark. Kim starts to hurry up and basically botches my mom's nails. There were splotches of polish (dip) that she didn't sand, some nails were longer than others and the worst part is she didn't even do the "manicure portion" we had asked for. At the end of this (it was almost 7:30) we were basically just like finish please it doesn't matter anymore because even if we told her she wouldn't listen. At payment, she asked for the money for the manicure she never completed and I literally had to tell her we were not paying for something she didn't do. The worst part of this whole thing is that the owner or manager was there the whole time and he actually was RUDE to us when we showed him the blotched job Kim had done. I waited for quite awhile before I wrote this review, mainly because I didn't want to angry when I described my experience. When I walked in, I was greeted by the owner, he seemed friendly enough, he called someone from the back. The place had only one other customer, and she seemed to be pleased with her nails. I was directed to sit down on a seat with dirty tissues on it, and I asked for something so I could removed it, she gave me a paper towel. I tried to explain what I wanted, but she just started cutting my nails, I pulled back my hand because she was cutting them very short and I she nicked me. I explained, the cutting was too short, she nodded and continued. The whole time she prepped my nails for the set, she burned, nicked, and cut my fingers or nail beds. When I pulled back my hand, she would get upset and actually attempted to ridicule me. I finally just got up, walked up to the manager and offered to pay for the materials since, I was not going to just sit there and allow her to hurt me. He said, he could see I was upset and would not charge me. I have had my nails done, at different places around Katy, all of them, may not have been stellar, but I have never been hurt like this. I was so angry, but I knew if I wrote a review at that time, I might get lost in my wording. I hope that place has improved, I thankfully have found a very nice place. read more

Forgot to ask the tech's name but shes a young lady with glasses. My nails are challenging I admitted and she took it really seriously and delivered completely what I'd asked for. Even though the pedicure service was outstanding (recommend the spoil me), the manicure was a TOTAL bust. The manicurist not only did my nails in the DARK (no extra light just the low light from the ambiance) but she missed 1/4th of almost every nail side !! It looked like I did the nail job myself. I pointed it out to her and she fixed ONE of them, but not the others I guess it was "OK" according to her. I got the "Cats eye" effect but the only nails that actually got the effect were the thumb and left pinky finger. the others were a foggy color, leaving the nails looking very light compared to the correctly finished effect and its deep coloring (like a cats eye marble). Again, it looked like I did it myself. I forgot to mention, they didnt let me use the massage chair, but when alllll the services were done, the manicurist turned it on for me and i sat there for 5 minutes =/ Oh, they also waxed my lip in the dark, she didnt even take the time to see if she got everything, and ... well she didnt. I let it go until the next day when I saw 2 nails peeling from the tips, then the 3rd day more shellacs were peeling clean off !!! I've NEVER had a shellac last perfectly any less than 2 weeks, so I was utterly disappointed in having had a poorly lighting manicure and no massage chair use during my visit. I plan to go back today and ask for a re-do. Depending on how they handle things, I will edit and change stars as warranted. Edit: No questions asked, they redid my paint no charge. I recently moved to katy area from city centre and decided to try this place based on reviews. I called and made an appointment for dip with mimi and pedi with whoever is available. I walked in and was greeted nicely. Mimi stood next to me the whole time im looking for dip color and i felt a little pressured kinda. Kevin did my pedicure and did an amazing job! Meanwhile, im not so happy with my dip nails. I was left with thick ends and look sloppy. Maybe she didnt feel like doing dip that time, i dont know. I have been doing dip and know that its done without the UV lamp but mimi used the lamp to seal the top coat which im very surprised. Then I checked out and i told the receptionist im new and didnt give me my 10% off. I didnt bother asking again and making a scene.
