I am so irritated with my raggedy nails and how I was left. Just paid $99 and charged for things that should already be included in packages. I shouldn't have to go home to file my nails even or scrub the powder all off my skin. Lady just told me I had a crooked pinky which is not the case when I walked in with my beautiful blue nails all I wanted was a refill and they couldn't even do that made me pick a new color then when I picked one was told no because it was glitter see thru. I understand there are cultural differences and language barriers, but the ladies at the salon, every time I asked about a service they said it wasn't the price printed on their flyer but actually would be $5 more, I asked about 4 different nail services and each were $5 more. I asked to have my cuticle cleaned and the lady said when you do acrylic nails, you do not need to clean the cuticles. They left my nails at a medium thickness and I asked if she could bring them down more and said no that they were fine, two weeks later two nails had already fallen. Not worth the price, practically as I sat down they were already saying $5 more for everything and anything. I should have walked out after the second $5 more but lesson learned. Not everyone should or can do nails! read more

Stopped by while in the area. Love the atmosphere, however I came in for a color change and I did want black nails. The next day, after my shower the color was peeling off and polish rubbed off into my bed. I'm Not sure if they gelled it correctly but waste of money and time. read more

The lady was nice and it was very quiet in there, however, I don't like how they have a glass frame hanging in front of the pedicure chairs for virus protection it was very annoying. I absolutely love Lotus! I am such a nail snob and very picky when it comes to my manicures, but especially my pedicures! I expect a thorough job cleaning up my feet, a long massage, and a good job on the polish. Lotus gives me all that and more! Mandy, the owner, is so sweet and accomadating. I love this place bc if you make a reservation, you are taken on time. Most nail places that allow walk-ins tend to take them as soon as they show up, therefore pushing back my start time, even though I have a reservation. The fact that Mandy makes sure to take the scheduled customers first is awesome! They offer 3 different types of pedicures, and I've had every one. It's nice to have a variety depending on what price range you're looking at. Every single nail technician I've had does a fabulous job! Especially with their massages-which is what makes or breaks my pedicure. I feel happy and relaxed everytime I leave. Lotus also has a wonderful variety of nail colors, including shellac. Some nail salons I go to are very limited with their shellac selection, but Lotus has so many it makes it hard for me to make decisions bc I love them all. I really cannot rave enough about this place. Like I said, I'm a pedicure brat and expect a lot when I go to get one. To show just how much I love this one, I live out in the Galleria area and will drive the 30 minutes to get to this salon to have my nails done. I'm so happy to have found this salon! read more

Had my eyelash extensions done and it had to be one of the most painful experiences I've had. It's not the burning which is expected it is the constant pinching of my eyelid with a tweezer while doing the lashes that has my eyes swollen and irritated this morning. They look poor and I am I sure how to sleep them off. $75.00 (on special) down the drain and now a doctor copay to check my eyes. I tried to tell them it was painful and she called me sensitive. This is not the first time but is my last time at this place. Stay away!! read more

A picture is worth a thousand words. The attached pictures are of my nails the first week, the second week & then week two & a half where I'm having to take them off. I would NOT recommend going here if you are someone who likes for people to take their time, be neat, & is very meticulous. I came here a week before my birthday & got my nails done by someone named "Ana" (if I remember correctly) & within a week, my acrylic nails had lifted all around my nail bed at the top by my cuticles due to her not pushing them back, my nails also were already cracking within a week, my polish had bubbles in them, and there was acrylic clumps under the nail. I went back a week later, complaining & they sent me to the same nail tech in hopes that she'd fix her mistakes (she r but this time I guess since I was unhappy, they offered me a complimentary drink which they didnt do originally my first visit. It made me think, so when I first came with my mother, why werent we offered complimentary drinks? Also, the roof had a leak. I just wouldnt recommend at all. I just took all the nails off & am finding someone else but it just sucks I spent a lot of money for it to only last a week. read more

Several places we went to first were either closed or hard hardly staff available so the wait was long which was not ideal with an infant. We found Lotus nails and they were very accommodating and got us in right away. They helped us out with the baby and did a great job on our nails. Super friendly to boot! I've been going to Lotus on and off for a couple of years. When I first started going it was great I had a very good nail tech, but she moved and never came back. In the years since, I had another nail tech - Mimi - who was pretty good at shaping, but her attitude sucked. She was not friendly, never smiled and spoke Vietnamese to the other techs in front of customers. That to me is very rude and completely unacceptable. She was also very rough and frequently cut me with the nail drill. I was willing to overlook it because she was good. I quit going for a few months and returned a couple of months ago. Le was my nail tech. While she was very nice and did a decent job filing my nails, they always lifted and/or came off entirely after a few days. Their prices are high and I just don't think it's worth it anymore. There are way too many other salons in the area. read more

Love this place! I have been going to Lotus Nails for a little over 2 1/2 months now and when I first went in, I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep my acryllic nails or switch to Shellac. After speaking to Mandy, I was glad that I went with the decision that she suggested. I have had my acyrllic nails off now for 2 months and love the Shellac. I will never go back to the acryllic. Mandy has been a great help and I love Michelle and Jenny my technicians. Please note that it is best to have an appt when you go, but it is definitely well worth the visit and everyone is super friendly. Peter was patient and gentle with the removal process. He was very careful not to harm my nails. Then he was very focused on detail with the application of shellac. I will NEVER go back to this place. Had an appointment & they told me to arrive 10 minutes early...maybe so I could find a parking space (the lot was packed). Walked in with 2 women behind me, who walked in front of me to sign in. Since I hadn't visited before I didn't know the protocol. The place was packed at 2:00 on a Saturday, but even with an appointment I had to wait. It is a small, cramped reception area & there was no place to sit, much less stand. Waited until 10 minutes after my appointment time & it was very clear that they were no where near calling me for my appointment. I wouldn't go back there if you paid me. read more

They do little nice things like offer you a drink (wine, water or a soft drink) upon sitting in your chair. Mandy (the owner) is very pleasant and organized so I think things run smoothly because of her. This is a nice salon and very popular so appointments are a necessity . I didnt realize this when i first started coming here and soon learned when they turned my friend down after she had been sitting there for about 45 minutes!! They get so busy that they sometimes loose their customer service skills. The owner, a short little petit lady gets very flustered when things get busy and she sometimes rushes her girls while they are working... i dont like to feel like i am being rushed on so they can hurry and do someone else. I may start going somewhere else if that continues. I have said something before about it, but it keeps happening. As for cleanliness they are top notch. That is why i keep coming back. they are clean, it smells nice, not like old fashioned nail places and the ambiance is really nice! They offer you wine and you can relax, if your girl isnt being yelled at to hurry!! haha! They give really great pedis and they massage you really great!!! ... again, if they are not rushed! Maybe if you go on a weekday, in the morning.. they will be better. I always go on a friday or saturday, so that may be the problem...? read more

This salon is wonderful and so are the majority of the technicians. I'd like to give it 4.5 stars for the couple technicians I did not have a good experience with, but the others who do wonderful work make up for the few negative times. The salon itself is decorated extremely well and gives you the feeling of being in a real spa, not just a nail salon. Mandy, who I believe is the owner, is very personable and always extremely friendly. They have complimentary water, soda, and WINE which is wonderful after a long day of work! As mentioned before, there are maybe 2 technicians who I try to avoid but everyone else (and I have been enough that I think I have had everyone) is very talented. They are always very friendly and the services are superior to other nail salons. They have a ton of Shellac colors to choose from as well as the regular polishes. When the new owners took over, it was just fabulous. I've been going there for about 3 years and Mandy took over two years ago. She has a BS in Business and it shows in how she operates the business that she clearly loves. On Fridays and weekends, you MUST have an appointment because they are so popular. It wasn't that way before Mandy and her sweet husband took over. They know how to keep appointments which I appreciate. From listening to the reception area, it's rare someone doesn't show up for their appointment. The staff are friendly, it's well organized, nice offerings in terms of drinks, and their staff are dedicated and careful. They are also a lot of fun. I can't say enough great things. My niece and I were here this morning. Our appointments were set for 9:00 am. We arrived right on time! We chose our colors. They brought us back together to get our pedis. My niece chose a green fun color and I chose an electric blue for my toes. This place is busy in a good way!!! Lots of clients arrived at the same time and they got everyone situated very quickly. Clean and efficient. My first time here. My niece has been here before. The Ladies that helped us were very nice!! Really sweet to my niece. Very clean and relaxing. A bit pricier than most but well worth it... The extras like a long relaxing massage & callus removal are included. Plenty of staff on hand to eliminate wait times. I always come early thinking I'll be one of the first clients of the day... Never happens, but it's no problem. No language barriers here... The ladies speak very good English.
