Miles Pizza is your New York style thin crust pizza that starts with a fermented pizza dough, which provides a crust that holds well, crisps nicely, and provides excellent chew and flavor. The owner clearly cares for their craft, and it shows when you take a bite. The slices you can pickup there are truly a one slice meal. I'm a big dude, and came in hungry one day and got two slices. My eyes were way bigger than my stomach. Anyway, I was finally in the position to order a whole pie from Miles this past weekend. I was heartbroken to see the meatball pizza was gone, but sweet heat still hit the spot. The flavor combinations are well thought out and incredibly tasty. The price was reasonable for the quality, and to anyone who complains about having Ricotta on their pizza needs to be checked out. In fact, my only major critique was I paid for extra ricotta and felt there wasn't enough! This place is right up there with Pizzeria De Laura and Mama's Boy, which should be enough praise to get you to give it a try. And if it isn't, you still need to give it a try. I am stoked to have such an awesome place join the Richmond/El Cerrito food scene, and hope it's here to stay for many years to come.

I decided to go with the specialty slice, and it was BOMB. The crust was perfectly crispy, the sauce was delicious, and the pesto, ricotta, and garlic tied everything together. The slice was also HUGE for what I paid -- definitely worth it. Really glad that tuxedo cat logo caught my eye. Great pizza, great service, and a cool neighborhood spot. I'll definitely be back!

There are no tables nearby, but I highly recommend eating this pizza as close to your pick up time as possible (which for me meant downing a couple slices in the car). The ordering system is definitely quirky, but not bad once it's done. the pick up system is fast and frictionless. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other pies as I went for a simple pepperoni on my first go but there are many toppings options available.

Considering she was by herself, we were impressed with her robust menu offering eight pizza choices as well as two salads and a selection of draft beers. She was also having a 30%-off Happy Hour special on the 12-inch pizzas, so naturally we took advantage and ordered the Veggie Pizza. The 12-inch was normally $18 and brought down to only $12.60. The pleasant surprise was that it was a genuinely tasty pie on a thin, flatbread-type crust. It was topped with a nice mix of peppers, artichoke, broccoli, tomato, and basil and a liberal ladling of red sauce. Most gratifying was the thick layer of melted mozzarella that covered the pie quite thoroughly (Photo 9).
