They sell original beef/pork (the logo mentioned "sweet moo/oinkie") but not sweet at all and spicy beef/pork. Cash only. The current rate is $52/lb; $26 1/2 lb and $13 1/4 lb. Family run business. The jerkys sell out quickly and next batch is ready in 30 mins. Note that the jerkys are not the Singapore style (soft and wet) but the Hong Kong strips (dry and chewy, but not on the tough side). Jung's is Renowned for their Dried Beef! This is NOT the same as Jerky; similar but definitely different. They sell dried beef and pork; there's a sweet version and spicy version of each. They may sell other items also but I'm not sure about those items. $26 1/2 lb $52 1 lb Jung's Dried Beef is so popular that they run out of products quickly. Each batch takes 2 hrs to cook, so if something runs out, you'll have to wait 2 hrs for the next batch. It's best to pre-order your items to get exactly what you want; especially if you have a large order. It's really pot luck if you just show up at the store. The rating is for customer service. Whenever I am in town I get 1/4 pound each of the sweet pork and sweet beef jerky. I usually go every week or two. On one of my recent visits I was told by the proprietor that there will be a price increase on January 1, 2025. I went there the last week of December 2024 and saw the increase. Still my favorite place to get Chinese beef jerky. It used to be called Ping's Dried Beef and has been around for a long time. The beef jerky is not the tough, dried kind you find with Ameri an jerky. Here, the jerky is softer and slightly chewy. They have the sweet beef, spicy beef, and pork jerky. Call ahead to make sure they have it in stock since they are a small family business which does not make huge batches. They seem to have a new batch ready at around 3pm. Don't be alarmed by the inside of the store since they basically run it from their home. It is oricy though. Right now it is $40/lb. You can purchase in quarter pounds. This place was a bit scary. You want into a messy store and stare at large jars that are labeled. It's noon and we want to order a sampling of jerky. Surprising the pork ones are sold out. Apparently someone bought them and it for the morning when it first opened. Next batch not avail doe 2 hours. My friend bought the spicy and sweet beef version. Formerly known as Ping's Dried Beef (https://www.yelp.com/biz/pings-dried-beef-new-york) the older generation has mostly retired, letting the younger generation take over with a new name: Jung's Dried Beef. Do not fear however, this does not mean that suddenly they are making avocado jalapeno beef jerky or Kombucha infused pork jerky (thank goodness). The recipes remain the same as they always have been, offering delicious sweet or spicy flavors. The textures are wonderfully chewy and does not require you to almost rip your teeth out to eat. This is truly one of the best jerky places I have ever been to (and they are becoming more rare over the years, a competing store around the corner recently closed). Recommendation: If you intend to purchase any more than a half pound, reserve some ahead of time. For larger amounts (think a couple pounds) it is recommended you reserve about *two* days ahead of time. This is no gimmick. Almost every time you walk in the large glass containers that hold the jerky are either empty or almost empty. People drive in from out of state to get this stuff, so be warned. Walking in and expecting to get a couple pounds of jerky is pretty unrealistic. Another warning: This is a true traditional and artisan product, and the price reflects this. Currently it stands at about $30/pound. To me it is more than worth it, but this is not the cheap jerky you buy at 7-11. This is the GOOD stuff. The store looks old and rundown and feels more like a storage room, so some people might be put off by that, however, the beef and pork jerky here is so good! My family has been coming here for 30+ years and can remember when the current owner was just a boy. Although the name has changed, the family running it and the recipe is still the same. Their jerky is some of the best you can get in China town. Don't be afraid of the low lighting and hidden location as the people are great, and the jerky is too. Done in a uniquely Chinese/Cantonese style, expect to taste nice meaty flavors with both pork and beef options done fresh daily. While not the typical American jerky taste, I enjoy their special style of jerky and hope to continue to come back for the next 30 years. Me and my sister have been coming here since we were little kids, over 30 years ago and we are pleasantly surprised that they are still open. We passed by and went in to order the sweet pork. It tasted exactly as we remembered, the recipe has not changed at all. I can tell you that this family own business keeps it authentic and consistent. When we went to Hong Kong and Singapore, there are lot of beef jerky stalls too and this is as authentic as it gets. This is not your typical American style beef jerky that is chewy and tough. This is deliciously tender, easily bites apart, sweetly glazed and savory. This is high quality stuff and the price does replace that. Don't be intimidated by this hole in the wall place, it's been in business for decades and they do speak English.
