I don't really know much about the nuances of beef and pork Jerky but this place has some of the best I've had. While they have some stock for walk-ins it's probably best to order in advance. They now have an email address which you'll definitely need if you're ordering multiple pounds. It's currently $44/lb. It's a small business so don't expect any fluff.

    Nuggets sweet pork!

Love this place! I drive from Boston to nyc for this! Been going here since I was in my low 20's, wish I could open something like this in Boston. It's a secret recipe he won't share!

First, this is not beef jerky! It's dried beef. There is a difference. They are delicious, chewy, sweet, lean strips of beef marinated and air dried. Prices are higher then past visit; it is now $10 for 1/4 pound. They are delicious and bring back good memories.

Love the beef jerky here! So soft and sweet. Easy to chew unlike the packaged ones in grocery stores

    a sign for cash only

Call in or email to order the Sweet Moo Jr. ahead of time, which is the sweet soft beef jerky. Cash only.

    Moist deliciousness (sweet moo)

If you are in the area and are a fan of beef jerky, this is a must! Don't be sketched out by the absence of English on the building or in the store. Literally the best beef jerky I have ever taste!d (I got the sweet moo). One thing I would recommend they stop doing though, is handing you your beef jerky in a bag with dog prints on it. A little misleading and scary lol.

My favorite since I was a little girl. Now my daughters must have beef jerky from this fine establishment. Please never close.

Really tender beef jerky, but they run out of supply frequently. Tip: call ahead for an order or get there early!

The market has a small seating area which is great for grabbing a quick bite or soft serve ice cream, in my case, near the ice cream station. I love black sesame ice cream and put my colleague on to it, and she loved it as well. It was a nice treat on a hot 80 degree day in NYC. This space is in a great location in Cobble Hill, not far from transit and shops. The best part is it's clean and well lit. Will return to try some of their prepared foods and packaged salty items.

Hashi feels like an actual grocery store with aisles of Asian goods. While it's still a bit pricey, it's the next best thing without traveling to Chinatown. My favorite part of their ready to eat hot foods/sushi section. I decided to get a Sashimi/Sushi Combo ($23), which I also got to enjoy right away. They have a dining area for you as well. Plus, you get 50% off at Fujissa located inside with $10+ purchase at Hashi Market (just show your receipt when you order). And don't miss out on the 50% off discount after 7pm for the hot foods/sushi, which is an hour earlier than Ten Ichi Mart.

Nor can I get anyone who "does" the online service management or get relevant answers from the Contact Us link. Last night I got to the checkout, and then the site kept asking me for the order number. ??? That ended the order going through. Mohammed tried to help by doing it verbally over the phone but there were too many items to deal with. It had been a go-to-shop for me since it opened, but after an accident I can't easily go in-person and now apparently I can't shop there at all or find anyone who is responsible/helpful for the site's customer functionality.

What was once a family-owned, excellent grocery store run by wonderful people who cared is now a Key Food with a different name. I mean that literally; they were bought by Key Food during the pandemic, and they laid off all the employees (that we loved), brought in more self-checkout, and the quality of the produce has fallen off a cliff, while the prices have climbed to extortionist levels. For the most part, the replacement staff is quite nice and usually helpful (there are a couple bad apples that seem upset you need assistance). The guys behind the prepared food counter will do a solid job on your sandwich, and the cashiers are usually pleasant and almost always efficient. They still have a rewards program where if you spend around $250 and you get like $10 credit. (Hey, it's better than nothing.) The expansion of the store a few years back means they truly have just about everything, and the beer and ice cream selections are actually phenomenal (but overpriced). However, produce we buy is occasionally going bad already, and the prices are wildly out of control. I paid $7 for two onions last week. It becomes harder and harder to justify shopping here when it's more expensive than Fresh Direct, and vastly more pricey than the fruit and vegetable spots a few blocks away. I don't risk the meat and fish any longer (not with Paisanos and Fish Tales in the hood), although Bell & Evans chicken is quite reliable. Basically, Brooklyn Fare went from an incredible market to have across street to a last-resort for items I forgot to purchase elsewhere in the neighborhood, at reasonable prices. They know we're coming in when we need something, and we're going to pay for it. Despite these shortcomings, it's still great to have a corner store that has just about everything. I can still run out and grab some milk for my wife's cookies when I've finished the last drop and she looks particularly stabby. But it's going to cost $7 for half a gallon.
