    These are real Chinese xialongbao.
    Garry W.

Brought a visiting colleague here after it was recommended by ChatGPT for the best soup dumplings. My colleague and I have been to China recently. After having been to China and had xialongbao all over, the soup dumplings were tiny and had very little soup. I would suggest the restaurant revise the size of the dumplings and add more soup. Service was good, atmosphere good. The picture below is what they should emulate.

We had our annual Christmas dinner at Jun and enjoyed the food, and atmosphere. The service was slow and not very attentive, we are guessing the staff was ready to call it a night. Regardless, we appreciate JUN being open on Christmas Eve.

Great meal in a modern Asian location. I had a not so great meal at Jun years ago so wouldn't have gone back if a friend hadn't suggested it. Glad I did. The dishes had authentic flavors with freshly cooked ingredients and great textures.

I've only eaten here once, but it was enough to know that this is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to. From appetizers to mains, I was in heaven. Great wontons, Szechuan dumplings, Xiang La wings (which is very similar to the Chong Qing main), everything was perfect. This is my favorite type of cuisine from China, and its spicy, so perhaps it's not for everyone, but I was as happy as I could possibly be and can't wait to return in the near future. Staff too were friendly and helpful in making recommendations for friends. The inside decor is chill and quiet, so there is nothing anywhere near I was wishing for more while visiting. Kudos to the chefs and staff. Fantastic experience!

Super good I got the cream cheese wontons and even with such a simple dish in the breading was just incredible. The inside was so blazing hot but it's just so good and the sauce is really warming. Maybe I'm just losing my mind but this is some of the best cream cheese wonton I've ever had incredible service too.

We went to JUN on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy by any means, but the 1 waiter I saw was doing all the things. Waiting tables, cleaning, bartending, etc. He was great for having a lot of work to do. Ambiance was moody. The food was really great! Our server recommended several popular dishes & gave clear descriptions of what to expect. Szechuan dumplings are a MUST.

The girl was really nice who greeted us and then she was also our waitress. She recommended the chong qing spicy chicken so we ordered it. It was fried which the menu didn't state. The onions were basically raw and made up the majority of the dish. The chicken was mostly breading and skin, little chicken to speak of. We had already had dinner and were still a little hungry so we tried this out. $30 out the door ($22+tax and tip and $1 parking) and it was definitely not worth it. The water was delicious though.

Good solid Chinese restaurant. Service was good. But then it wasn't that busy. Food was okay. We were disappointed in the duck. We have had duck in China (lives there for 8 years) this was not even close.

Nothing special about this place. Not impressed. Not a fan of thick dumpling wraps/potstickers. Would not recommend.

I was glad to see that JUN reopened after it closed down. I enjoy Asian cuisine food and like the assortment of options JUN has to offer. One day I had dinner here with friends. I was in the mood for a wholesome meal on a cold winter Friday evening. After walking from Snack Bar and Borough down the block, which were booked up, we were happy to find some opening at JUN. We ordered egg rolls to share. I had some green tea to start. Then I enjoyed some Wonton soup to warm me up. I also enjoyed the Chinese Broccoli. I definitely kept it lean because it was already late and I didn't want to feel guilty about bad choices when I could do better. Overall nice ambience and quick service.

There were 4 women that looked to be servers that came out of the kitchen and seen us at the podium and kept going back to whatever they were doing. you can see in the pic there's a woman folding napkins as we waited. after 4-5 min we walked out because you could almost feel how unwelcome there we were. In 2026??? During Ice raids??? Where many immigrant/minority businesses are struggling.. this is not only my first impression of this place but ALSO wtf?! This is a form of racism & terrible customer service. I get places have language barriers but they have signs for everything else so really no excuses why many of the staff treated us that way. This behavior also tells me everything I need to know about the food as well.... terrible just like the attitude of the staff.

In…read morere-reading my reviews, I stand by everything I've said about the excellent consistent quality of the food, the service, and how much I enjoy coming to this restaurant. I truly hope they are around longer than I am. I would hate to find out this was one of the choices no longer available to us. Please read my previous reviews for a more inclusive view; this review focuses only on their lobster. I had previously mentioned that they prices of their lobsters (I love the version with black bean sauce) have gone up tremendously. While true, there seems to have been a subtle change in their pricing strategy. Previously (as of before the pandemic), the lobster was priced by the pound, which is the conventional way of doing it. However, they seem to have two lobster prices. The first one is called "Big Lobster" and they say it's between 2 and 2 and half pounds per lobster. The price of that (as of this review) is $56 dollars, or $28 per pound. That's not really a bad price at all. It's expensive, but reasonable. The other lobster is called "Live Lobster" and is priced $10 less at $46. So the real question is how much does this second version weigh? I ordered the Big Lobster, but they said they were out of it. I asked the weight of the "Live Lobster" but I didn't really get a straight answer, but he seemed to say "about two pounds" which doesn't really make sense because that's the price of the larger, more expensive lobster. But I decided to go for it anyway. As I stated in my last review, I'm guessing this lobster is at least two pounds, based on many years of eating lobster. For this review, I had ChatGPT translate the the Chinese on the menu, thinking it was secret code for "if you can read Chinese, save ten dollars by ordering this version" but AI says the Chinese means "lobster" so if you spoke Chinese, you'd still be mystified. So my recommendation is order the version that is ten dollars cheaper and you may (or may not) be paying $23 a pound. Price aside, I love this version of lobster and it is certainly a better deal than what you would pay at an American style seafood or steak restaurant in the Twin Cities.

It was nice visiting and enjoying some of our previously go-to dishes. The soft shell crab made with golden garlic style was as delicious as I remembered, although at a much higher price now ($44+) for the dish. The seafood soup was a nice start to our meal, would have been even better if they had red vinegar. The mapo tofu and eggplant dishes that we ordered ended up being very similar in taste/sauce/seasoning but still pretty good. The service was pretty fast and the staff was friendly.

If you like sweet and sour chicken, this dish is for you. Chicken mushroom noodle soup was a little bland. But I was sick, and this was filling, warm and heartfelt.
