We arrived here after the start of the midday brunch crowd. We liked that's it's located at its own plaza and thus it has its own parking lot. The Scottish Oat cakes looked good here for me. My husband was feeling like more an omelet or skillet.

Gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarians look no further!!! This healthy breakfast cafe offers so many yummy options for all diets. For being a smaller establishment, I was amazed with their menu selection. Highly encourage the JK Benedict and the cinnamon vanilla latte. Location and seating: tucked in a tiny strip mall in Ann Arbor; not on campus! Don't get it twisted. It's right next to a speedway gas station so that's your landmark. They have minimal indoor seating that could make you feel very crammed during a morning or lunch rush. They have more outside seating than indoor; which makes it a bit hard to do during winter months. They do have patio heaters though. This is my only reason for the reduced star. They need a little more indoor seating room; especially for being in cold Michigan. I would ultimately go with a curbside order. Food: oh my gosh....DELICIOUS!!!! I am in love with their coffee. Totally hooked. And it is amazingly healthy. They use local procedure and put effort into their craft. It's to die for. Staff: SO kind!!!! They didn't just toss your food on the counter; she walked it out to me while I waited at the table. So sweet and pleasant. Parking. Private lot with more parking around the back and corner.

I've written it in other reviews but one of the things I miss most about dining out is breakfast and brunch. A hearty plate of eggs, pancakes, and more...that I didn't have to make? Perfection! Juicy Kitchen was one of our go-to brunch places before the pandemic and now it's become one of our favorite takeout places. They have a really easy online ordering system on their website and curbside pick up to boot. It's nice to have something healthy for breakfast, too! Last time we ordered I went with the breakfast quesadilla with a side of bacon (I LOVE their bacon) and a seasonal special--the vegan pumpkin cinnamon roll. Oh and one of their cinnamon lattes. It's was all fantastic. Takeout breakfast can be hit or miss but there's is a real hit. My only complaint? I wish they would put their oatmeal back on the menu! A big bowl of their tasty oatmeal with a side of bacon and a latte? Truly one of my favorite breakfasts! But everything I've ever had on the menu has been really excellent.

Excellent hash with tempeh. Add some hot sauce for a little kick

Wonderful local breakfast/lunch place in Ann Arbor. Excellent vegan and vegetarian options--had the hash with tempeh and it was delightful. Also ordered the pina-kale-ada smoothie and it was so good I had to order a 2nd for the road. People are so sweet too, they brought out blankets for the crisp fall weather while we dined outside. Excited to try other items on the menu.

I guess there's a reason for the long waits here on weekends. Delicious food, affordable, in a cute homey little space. Came here with a good friend and enjoyed our time despite being pretty cramped. Had a delicious chai latte and a bacon egg scramble so full of flavor I could hardly believe it. A fresh salad and delicious toast and jam to accompany. What could be more perfect?

After attempting to visit over Memorial Day weekend only to find that they were closed for the holiday :(, finally made it out a few weekends ago. Although carnivores ourselves, my sister and I like to try vegetarian/vegan spins on classic dishes, so Juicy stood out to us. The location is interesting - in an unassuming strip mall, which is nice from parking standpoint (pro tip: free parking) and nice as it may be missed if you don't know about it. The place is pretty tiny, with a small amount of indoor seating and a few seats outside. We arrived ~10:30 AM on a Sunday, and luckily only waited in line for ~10 minutes before placing our order (order at the counter, they bring your food to you) and were seated without an issue. JK's menu is filled with so many solid options, the majority of them being vegetarian or vegan, which is rare. I love a good eggs benedict, so I had my eye on the JK Benny. Their take is on a corncake base, which actually had pieces of corn in the bread, and the eggs sit upon a bed of spinach, mushrooms, roasted peppers, and tomatoes - a little spice to them, but truly excellent flavors. The traditional poached eggs were topped with a goat cheese sauce rather than hollandaise, which I loved - the semi-sweetness of the cheese cut the spice from the veggies and brought the plate together. Savored every last bite! It also came with a simple side salad, which was excellent as well - featured fresh fruit on the lettuce, which was a nice touch. My sister got the same dish and was equally as content as I was! JK is a great hidden gem in AA, and offers a variety of "healthy" and plant-based foods. Ranking as one of the best eggs benedicts I've had, would highly recommend brunch here to try it for yourself!

Tomato soup, the hot mess and BLT scramble

Driving 45 minutes for a brunch is really worth it! This place is a hidden gem in Ann Arbor and the staff are really friendly and polite! ( That's my second review for this place!)

bottom: classic breakfast, top: susan's breakfast

Super cute little cafe! Lots of fresh options, lots of healthy options especially if u follow certain diets, they are very accommodating. The classic breakfast was good, yummy potatoes and delicious toast. Poached eggs were cooked a bit more than i'd prefer but nonetheless it was still good. Susan's breakfast was also good from what I heard. The iced matcha and iced mocha lattes were also both delicious. Great food and vibe, kind staff, I would definitely come back!!!

Baked tempeh

Lovely vegan friendly place to have a meal. Due to covid I wasn't able to check out the inside so I can really only speak to the food in this review. They did have some picnic tables to sit at outside, I think that's worth mentioning. I got the chilaquiles, which were just as tasty as they sounded on paper. I subbed a different cheese for the feta but I'm sure it's delicious as it comes. Also got to try the baked tempeh as well, which went had great texture and seasoning. They've got some baked goods for sale so that's hard to pass up. The quinoa peanut butter cookie had a softer consistency than most cookies I've had, but taste wise hit the spot. Overall the owners were super nice / engaging and the food was fresh & flavorful. I love the mission of this place and the execution. Hopefully I can go back sometime and check out the inside decorum. Until then, without question the food gets my stamp of approval! It's only a ride....

Ask the Community - Juicy Kitchen

Do they have indoor seating now? (It's April 2022)

Hi Audrey! We are take out only with outside seating with heaters. Thanks for reaching out!

Do they take reservations for a group of 30 adults on Saturdays?

It's a small restaurant that maybe fits 15-20 people. There are outside tables when weather is pleasant.

Do they take reservations for a group of 9 adults and 2 high chairs on Sundays?

Hi Chris! Yes we can take your reservation. What time would you like to come in? Best times are between 8 & 10. After that there may be a short wait since we are so small and have to put several tables together. Please email me at… Read more

I have never had a bad dish here. Vegetarian or not everything has been absolutely delicious!!!!…read more The 3 of us could easily choose our appetizer. IT IS A MUST HAVE!!!!! A shareable platter of garlic bread, vegan basil-cashew pesto, fresh tomato-basil relish, Kalamata olive tapenade and choice of sesame-crusted Goat cheese or house-made almond 'cheese' (Order with almond cheese to be vegan; Substitute gluten-free garlic bread to be gluten free). SERIOUSLY PEOPLE-IT'S A MUST!!! Unlike my sweet sister I try something different every time we come. The three of us had different meals last night. I had a cup of white bean and kale soup. It had diced carrots, onion, celery and sweet potatoes in a delicious broth. So savory and warm, the kale had obviously been rubbed and was as tender as could be. I ordered another appetizer instead of a full meal. I had the General Tso's fresh Cauliflower with a very light tempura batter sprinkled with sesame seeds in a sweet and sour chili sauce-It was the right amount of heat and I found it just right in terms of quantity for my dinner. My sister had the Taco Salad-which she raves about. I have yet to try it, but it looks delicious. Ingredients include; Romaine, fresh corn salsa, black beans, sweet potatoes, avocado, pumpkin seeds, and corn chips, with your choice of Chihuahua cheese or vegan mozzarella, and your choice of sour cream or vegan cucumber ranch, with house made salsa on the side (Choose vegan mozzarella and cucumber ranch to be vegan, Gluten free.) My brother-in-law was the smartest one of all of us as he ordered the restaurant week meal which included appetizer main course, salad & dessert! I'll post the restaurant week menu below. It was fabulous. since it was still happy hour I ordered a Mocktail- Iced Ginger Spritzer Ginger, lemon, agave and soda, on ice. Wow- super ginger forward. He also had a Mocktail: A Solar Blast containing Orange, grapefruit, lime and ginger, on ice. (Mmmmmm-refreshing!) He had the white bean & kale cup of soup. He chose the Gomadore Udon -a beautiful bowl. Brown rice and Udon noodles in a mushroom broth. Silky tofu, mung bean sprouts, carrots, zucchini, green onion and kale. Veggies blanched but still crisp. What a great entrée for a below 0° day. It was finished with a rich sesame Gomodore Sauce. There was a farro grain salad with it. His dessert was a Lavender Lemon Bar which he described as heavenly. No doubt about it- this was an exquisite meal. Our server was great. He stayed on top of everything without being intrusive. The ambience here is subtle and casual. Nice long bar area and plenty of dining space. We called ahead as they will add you to a wait list and we would highly encourage that you do the same. This is a well loved restaurant that has been here nearly forever!!!! Do yourself a favor -if you are in A2 go to the west side and dine here!!

Every dish we have tried here is so delicious!!…read more The line is always long but we didn't wait too long. Maybe 20 min and food was fast and took 5 min. I kept looking for seasonal options but didn't see any signs and the waitress I asked couldn't really hear me/understand what I was asking about. I just really liked their pumpkin pancakes and wanted to see what was in season now. We ordered the breakfast burrito (a bit on the smaller side but filling for me). It's hot sauce and sour cream were great companions!! We also ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes and it was cooked to perfection (crispy on the ends but still fluffy)!! The flavors were amazing too! I also appreciated that they put the whipped cream to the side (since I have lactose sensitivities). We had the breakfast tacos, shared the gluten-free waffles, and my girl got a massive BLTE. Everything was very good. We were pleased there was live piano music in the beautiful wood ceilinged dining room. Our server gave us a brief history of the Weber's restaurant and gave us time to produce the menu after delivering our drinks. We couldn't agree on any appetizers so we stuck with just the bread plate. There was a lovely salmon spread, and butter. Some of the bread was toasted with garlic butter and some was soft. I can't say the bread was the best part of the meal, my preference is for a crusty artisan loaf. Salads came with each of the entrees, although son doesn't eat salad he didn't order soup either. My husband and I ate all three salads. He ordered the Cobb, I had kale and the third was the house salad which was very pleasant with dried cranberries and raspberry vinaigrette. Both men ordered the 8 ounce filet mignon, medium rare, which came with carrots and mashed potatoes. The steaks were perfectly prepared. They let me taste a sliver and it was very tender! The carrots however were not very tender, and could have used a little more time on the heat. Son also ordered a side of roasted asparagus, it was perfect crisp tender and they left the bread crumbs in a dish on the side without even me asking. We didn't eat any of them! I ordered the miso sea bass, which had the same carrots but a side of butter soy sushi rice. I loved the sear on the fish, it was a very simple preparation that let the quality meat show through. The rice was delicious and I ate most my carrots. After slowly sipping my delicious large $20 Meiomi Pinot Noir through dinner, I developed a sweet tooth and attempted to order a creme brulee for dessert. The men were too full of bread, steak and multiple salads to have dessert. Our server warned us that there was only one creme brulee left earlier that evening, and they were likely out. Indeed, as requested she promptly brought the check without dessert. A chocolate pudding at home for me, oh well....we were all stuffed anyway! The quality of food is excellent at Weber's, and the service was on point. We did not feel rushed but because we didn't order multiple courses we were in and out pretty quickly. I think I would like savor the time better with a leisurely happy hour in the bar on a weekday next time.
