Probably one of the best value you can find in Chinatown! Their Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) are delicious, and you can't beat the special: 6 mini soup dumplings for just $2.99. The fried dumplings were also a highlight--perfectly crispy and flavorful. The setup is very no-frills and efficient. You order at a kiosk or the counter and wait for your number to be called. It's connected to the Dragon City Mall, so it's easy to find. There's a decent amount of seating, and it's clearly a favorite for students thanks to the affordability. Great spot for a quick, delicious, and budget-friendly meal!
The service here was quick and efficient. They are a very busy spot. The ambiance is average, it is a bit cramped inside and there is a good amount of seating, however you may have to wait for a table, fortunately we did not. The food itself was fantastic. Delicious soup dumplings, and really good spinach dumplings as well. We loved everything we ordered and were super happy with the food we had. There were many options between all of the restaurants around and we were not disappointed.
This is a popular fast food spot in the area with frequent offers for dumplings. When I went, they had discounted rates for steamed pork dumplings. I tried both their steam dumplings and fried dumplings. Enjoyed both. Also tried their chive pancakes. The portion was big. The service counter is easy to use and helps with quick turn around.
Really enjoyed this place, even though the line was out the door, it moved really fast. You can order at the register, or directly through one of the self-serve kiosks. Seating is a premium here, so if you see a seat, grab a seat. It was busy, loud, fast paced but delicious. The price was really great for what you get especially with the quality of the dumplings here!

This is my electric chair meal and I don't really even enjoy dumplings. we ordered the pork soup pan seared and steamed dumplings; and veggie spring rolls. They do NOT disappoint. The burst of flavor you get as you take your bite of dumpling is unlike anything I've ever had. I will say I enjoy the pan seared a little more. The inside isn't anything to write home about. It doesn't feel super safe as it's in a rough area but no one bothered us when we were there. Service was okay, nothing good or bad here to add.

I will admit that I'm biased. I previously wrote a review for Dumpling House in which I discussed the benefits of having an old Asian woman hand-rolling dumplings in the window with duct tape on it. This place, Juicy Dumpling, is becoming quite trendy, and I don't really understand why. It is the equivalent of Popeyes for dumplings. You don't have to talk to anybody. There is no "service "or "ambience," other than the fluorescent lights. You order on a screen, someone calls out your number, and you pick up dumplings in a to-go container (the cardboard kind so the dumplings stick to it). The soup dumplings were not bad. They were adequate.The other dumplings that I had, the fried pork dumplings, were severely meh. The vegetable steamed dumplings lacked taste of any kind. They were an abomination. So if you want dumplings with no soul, no personality, this is the place you should go for "fast food" dumplings. If you want a real dumpling experience, walk around the corner.
Cheap dumplings that are consistent and delicious. Hard to go wrong here. Lots of menu options but the classic is the soup dumpling. I've never seen it quiet here. Everyone loves it.

Juicy dumpling 100% lives up to the hype!! My friend and I came here last night to try their famous dim sum and we were so happy with everything we ordered. Unless you walk, take the subway, or bus, you will have to pay $5/2hr at the parking structure attached to the restaurant. Upon entering, you have the option to order through their kiosks (if paying card or tap) or the front (if paying cash). The menu is pretty straightforward, it tells you everything you need to know regarding portion, price, and what comes in it. My friend ordered the juicy pan fried pork bun and steamed pork/crab soup dumplings, and I ordered the pan fried pork soup dumplings. The restaurant was moderately busy but the food came out so fast I swear it took less than 10 minutes of a wait. The dumplings were all love at first bite. You can tell the wrappers they use are made from scratch, which definitely makes or breaks a dumpling. Soy sauce and chili sauce packets are included but if you need more, there is a self serve section next to the cash register. Very simple yet memorable experience and even though I live in Oakville I would ABSOLUTELY make the hour long trip just to eat here again. We're both still thinking about how we should've ordered more to take home, lol. 11/10 recommend :)
I could not believe how fast and delicious and cheap these dumplings were! i got the fried soup dumplings and fried pork dumplings. It came to like CAN$13 and was very filling and yummy!
Definitely a must try in Toronto! Sign feels like clickbait but it's cheap, affordable, and compares well to higher price point dumplings. By no means are the dumplings here elite, but they are on par with most dumplings at a fraction of the cost. Ordering is very easy with their numbering system (P# for pan fried, S# for steamed, etc). P1 Pan Fried (pork) - honestly the pan fry sounded amazing but it doesn't work that well in XLB style. Felt like less soup and the crisp wasn't that relevant with the small surface area. P4 Pan Fried (chicken) - the pan fry here is much better with more ground to cover, though opt for P3 because it's so juicy. The chicken made this a bit more dry, no juices leaked through, meanwhile the pork one was dripping like a XLB! S1 Steamed (pork) - like a XLB with hearty soup, a very classic dumpling that has no wrongs. Not dried out and it was amazing, on par with most higher priced soup dumplings out there.

Finally, another soup dumpling spot that doesn't disappoint! Nestled in the corner of Dragon City Market, this new and modern shop keeps things simple and effective. They also offer traditional dumplings, Shanghai dumplings, Cumin chicken wings (that I need to seriously try) and various dim sum. Because of the popularity, there's a bit of a wait for your items, but they're well worth it. I ordered the steak pork and crab meat soup dumpling for $5.99CAN and pan fried pork soup dumpling for $3.99CAN. Both orders come with 6 delicious pieces and I admit that I was pretty full after an order. The steamed crab & pork dumpling had a nice chewy wrapper and the soup was easy to take down with the crab. The pan fried pork soup dumpling was astounding! I didn't even know soup dumplings were sustainable to be pan fried, but I'm glad is tried. Be careful, because the soup is much hotter than the other options. But hey, pain is pleasure, right? This might be my perception being American, but the price points were cheap for what they offered and the portions were good. I'd love to come back and try more! read more
Although I only had the Kusa mochi ($3.99) I really did enjoy it. It was made of Shanghainese herb with glutinous rice and stuffed with red bean! It was slightly sweet and slightly oily for my taste. But still very enjoyable! My wish in the future is for them to stop wrapping them in plastic Saran Wrap! Just serve it fresh without it! Save Mother Earth! Happy belly! Happy life! Not gonna lie, it was the price and the boast for "Juicy dumplings" that initially got my attention ($2.99 for 6 dumplings) while we were passing by the area. It's a quick grab-and-go place inside a mall so a great pit stop area to recharge. We ended up getting 6 regular fried juicy pork dumplings and 6 fried juicy crab dumplings. I normally love the crab meat dumplings but not this time. It was fishy and dry! No liquid what-so-ever inside...such a bummer. The pork dumplings on the other hand was great! Definitely lived up to the Juicy part. They have a small station on the side where you make your own dipping sauce. Remember to grab some spoons if you want to eat it "Soup Dumpling" style with some vinegar in your spoon. Also, try to sit by the door because you will end up smelling like fried food even if you're only there for 10 minutes. read more

My only prior experiences with XLBs have been at sit-down Chinese restaurants uptown (or at dim sum), so I was interested in seeing how this fast food version would compare. We came around 11am on a Friday, and the place was semi-full. We were able to grab seats next to the window. Once you order at the counter, you are handed a buzzer, allowing you to sit down while waiting for food. We ordered the pan-fried dumplings with pork, and the classic steamed dumplings with crab and pork. Overall, very juicy and delicious, but I think the pan-fried ones could have been more crispy on the bottom (like traditional guo tie). Pretty good value for your buck - if I had a hankering for XLBs I certainly would not mind stopping by here. read more

Juicy Dumpling is a trendy new dumpling joint that opened recently in the heart of Chinatown, attached to the Dragon City Mall. Their signature dumplings are the xiaolongbao (steamed mini soup dumplings) and sangjibao (pan fried juicy buns), both popular Shanghai soup-filled street dumplings. They're priced very, very cheap for Toronto standards, and that's their main selling point. I tried both their xiaolongbao and sangjibao, as well as their spicy shrimp wontons. I enjoyed the xiaolongbao and sangjibao. They were both juicy and the broth was rich and flavourful. The skin of the xiaolongbao was pretty thick though, which was fine for me (but probably not for those that prefer their dumplings with thinner skin). My coworker told me it might just be the way northern China prefers their soup dumplings. The spicy shrimp wonton were okay; there was definitely a bit too much vinegar in them, which kind of soured the taste a bit. They were also not spicy at all, despite the name. Overall, Juicy Dumpling's dumplings are pretty alright! I may have had some complaints about them but at that price point they are a very good addition to Chinatown for cheap dumplings and snacks. read more
Visit again and it was just as good as the first time, but with even more items on the menu. I got the soup dumplings ($3.99), pan fried dumplings ($4.59) and siu mai ($3.99). The soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings are amazing, I would not get the siu mai again though. I've had it better elsewhere (even grocery store premade siu mai), so it's a pass for me. The other items are amazing though and Juicy Dumpling remains an amazing budget find! read more
Its a BRAND NEW shop in Chinatown, downtown Toronto. PSA: I learned Downtown Toronto, Chinatown has changed quite a bit since my last trip here in the early 2000s! Shops have "come & gone", some businesses thrived and some shuttered due to rent, gentrification of the communities... and the migrations of the affluent Asians to that swanky hood... Markham. Lot of the street vendors are no longer here, however, there's still enough good eats to explore for first timers. It's more a "grab & go" shop, small, with a few tables and bar stool seatings. 2 entrances - one within the Dragon City Mall and one external on the side. Simple menu - dumplings in all variations! Steamed, fried, mini, regular, noodles! We got the regular fried mini-juicy pork dumplings (6) and fried mini-juicy crap dumplings (6). Love love love the regular pork dumplings! It was so delicious! Bursting with flavors! However the crab version, while more pricey, was not as good... it was a bit too fishy... and dry. I would recommend getting a bunch of the regular pork ones & chow down! Tip: self serve mix bar - get the plastic dipping cups, mix 2/3 Vinegar + 1/3 Soy Sauce! Pour some sriracha in another dipping cup! Also, grab spoons to hold up your dumplings and GO to town! Yay I'm a fan! Tried this place for the first time last night and I quite enjoyed it. You definitely can't beat the prices for the soup dumplings - for $2.99 plus tax, you get 6 steamed pork soup dumplings, and for $3.99 plus tax, you get 6 pan fried pork soup dumplings. For about 50 cents per piece, this really isn't bad and I'm not complaining at all. The service was super quick too and I got my dumplings in less than 4 minutes tops. These aren't your DinTaiFung quality soup dumplings but they taste quite good for what you pay for and definitely hit the spot when you're craving some good soup dumplings but don't want to break the bank. Each soup dumpling is quite large and 6 pieces made for a filling snack. You'd definitely want to order more soup dumplings if you're really hungry, or try some of their other dishes. The only other thing I've tried is the cumin fried chicken which was okay - it was very fried and crunchy. I'm definitely coming back to try their other dishes! read more

I think I have found a favorite place for food if you're on a budget, and also as a student! Located around Dragon City Mall at Chinatown, this is a popular quick eats place for delicious soup dumplings as low as $2.99 for 6! There are limited seats inside, and by the window, however since it's a quick meal, people tend to leave pretty quickly. Their menu offers a variety of soup dumplings, rice and also juicy fried buns. One thing I don't usually see in other Shanghai restaurant is pan fried versions of soup dumplings, so I definitely had to make an order of that. After ordering with the cashier, you will get a beeper that will ring when youre order's ready. The food came fairly quickly after ordering. The soup dumplings are what youd get at regular Shanghai restaurants; super juicy and tasty!! I was honestly so surprised how delicious they were as I was skeptical at first due to the low price. The fried juicy buns were a bit small compared to other places, but for the price, you cant complain, and plus they were also very juicy inside as well. The pan fried soup dumplings were also surprisingly juicy as well as I was worried the heat from pan frying them would take it away. All in all, we ordered 4 things and the bill came up to be $16! read more

YUM!!! They were sooo good and sooo cheap! I went with two friends and we each ordered two different things (covering the steamed and pan fried dumplings in both flavours each, the pork "bun" and the pancake). I loved it all. Really great soup dumplings. You can eat like a king for 10$. The place is nothing to write home about but the dumplings are worth the surroundings. I tried this tea that's supposed to go well with the dumplings because it's sweet and they are savoury but I found it too sweet so keep that in mind. read more

Definitely no comparison with Ding Tai Fung's Xiao Long Bao but for the price itself, I must admit I was really impressed with the taste! Tried all 3 XLB - Steam Pork ($2.99), Pan-fried Pork ($3.99) and Pan-fried Crab+Pork ($6.99). And among the 3, the best one for me is the Pan-fried Pork. The skin is not thick and just right and not doughy, the soup is flavourful and hot and the filling is cooked which is the opposite of the Steam Pork Soup Dumpling. The filling tasted raw and the soup inside the dumpling is cold. There is also nothing special about the Crab/Pork plus it's more expensive. It gets busy during the weekends but the line goes by fast. Will surely come back when craving for dumplings/xiao long bao since the price is right and the food is decent. I just hope they don't hike up the price any time soon. read more

Sweet xiao long bao (shanghai dumplings) joint right in the heart of Chinatown. RESTAURANT: Came in on a Sunday around noon and the place was pretty packed. The restaurant looks like a fast food spot but the wait was quite surprisingly long. Eating supplies and sauces were self serve and worked quite well. FOOD: Ordered a half dozen xiao long bao, and a half dozen pan fried ones as well. They were excellent and authentic. Soup inside each dumpling as plentiful. Only suggestion was if they were a tad hotter. SERVICE: As expected at a restaurant like this. VALUE: Excellent value for money! Would definitely visit again! read more

The soup was not packed with flavour like traditional dumplings and the pork tasted ever so slightly bland, but each dumpling hand a generous amount of filling and kept me feeling satisfied. Don't let the low price fool you, those 3$ dumplings are worth at least 6$! Juicy made the perfect end to an evening, after having a few drinks at a bar nearby. Came her by recommendation from a local friend, and I'm glad we did! Arrived around 11:30 pm and the place was packed! Lots of people getting takeout but also groups just hanging out. We had to see what the 3$ dumplings were all about, and to our surprise, they were really good! They are indeed juicy. The texture of the bun is thin and chewy, and right when you bite in you're hit with the hot pork broth that is really flavorful! Perfectly bite size as well, so it makes it super easy to pop the whole thing in your mouth. We didn't get the opportunity to try anything else as I was pretty full from dinner we had not long before, but next time I'm in Toronto, I know where I'm heading for those late night cravings. read more
Omg. This place is amazing! We came here on a cold evening to try the soup dumplings (6 pieces for $2.99) and pan fried pork buns (4 pieces for $3.99). One bite into these dumplings and there was an explosion of flavour! Never have I ever had so much soup contained in a dumpling. Juicy dumpling indeed! It was packed with a good amount of pork and the black vinegar helped cut the greasiness. It was simply delicious. If you love dumplings and a great deal, this is the place to go! read more

Had a crazy for dumplings and found this place on the Uber Eats app. It is located in the Dragon City Mall, and also has an entrance off Dundas St. I ordered the pan fried dumpling, pan fried mini soup dumpling ms, and shrimp wontons. I like how the servings are perfect for mixing and matching your perfect meal. Would definitely come back here to eat again! read more

Honestly the best place to go if you're looking for something very inexpensive, fast, and still very good. It was quite crowded on a Friday night but people were coming and going fast enough that we were still able to find a seat. The soup dumplings were good but the pan fried dumplings were even better. Definitely recommend. This place is very popular and after trying it for myself, I know why. read more
LUNCH Just finished eating Rasta Pasta and was walking by, when my eyes caught wind if the giant JUICY DUMPLiNG logo. I remember bookmarking this place for quite a while now and what true yelper can walk by a bookmarked place and not try it? Not one! This place is the McDonald's of dumplings! Its fast, affordable and delicious! So glad my eyes convinced my stomach to try it out. I ordered the soup filled pork dumplings and it was honestly as good as the dumplings I've had at DTF in Shanghai. You guys gotta try for yourself, but imo dont order ubereats or foodora, you have to try it straight outta the steamer to get the real real, and that can only be accomplished in person! ;) read more
