Probably one of the best value you can find in Chinatown! Their Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) are delicious, and you can't beat the special: 6 mini soup dumplings for just $2.99. The fried dumplings were also a highlight--perfectly crispy and flavorful. The setup is very no-frills and efficient. You order at a kiosk or the counter and wait for your number to be called. It's connected to the Dragon City Mall, so it's easy to find. There's a decent amount of seating, and it's clearly a favorite for students thanks to the affordability. Great spot for a quick, delicious, and budget-friendly meal!
The service here was quick and efficient. They are a very busy spot. The ambiance is average, it is a bit cramped inside and there is a good amount of seating, however you may have to wait for a table, fortunately we did not. The food itself was fantastic. Delicious soup dumplings, and really good spinach dumplings as well. We loved everything we ordered and were super happy with the food we had. There were many options between all of the restaurants around and we were not disappointed.
This is a popular fast food spot in the area with frequent offers for dumplings. When I went, they had discounted rates for steamed pork dumplings. I tried both their steam dumplings and fried dumplings. Enjoyed both. Also tried their chive pancakes. The portion was big. The service counter is easy to use and helps with quick turn around.
Really enjoyed this place, even though the line was out the door, it moved really fast. You can order at the register, or directly through one of the self-serve kiosks. Seating is a premium here, so if you see a seat, grab a seat. It was busy, loud, fast paced but delicious. The price was really great for what you get especially with the quality of the dumplings here!

This is my electric chair meal and I don't really even enjoy dumplings. we ordered the pork soup pan seared and steamed dumplings; and veggie spring rolls. They do NOT disappoint. The burst of flavor you get as you take your bite of dumpling is unlike anything I've ever had. I will say I enjoy the pan seared a little more. The inside isn't anything to write home about. It doesn't feel super safe as it's in a rough area but no one bothered us when we were there. Service was okay, nothing good or bad here to add.

I will admit that I'm biased. I previously wrote a review for Dumpling House in which I discussed the benefits of having an old Asian woman hand-rolling dumplings in the window with duct tape on it. This place, Juicy Dumpling, is becoming quite trendy, and I don't really understand why. It is the equivalent of Popeyes for dumplings. You don't have to talk to anybody. There is no "service "or "ambience," other than the fluorescent lights. You order on a screen, someone calls out your number, and you pick up dumplings in a to-go container (the cardboard kind so the dumplings stick to it). The soup dumplings were not bad. They were adequate.The other dumplings that I had, the fried pork dumplings, were severely meh. The vegetable steamed dumplings lacked taste of any kind. They were an abomination. So if you want dumplings with no soul, no personality, this is the place you should go for "fast food" dumplings. If you want a real dumpling experience, walk around the corner.
Cheap dumplings that are consistent and delicious. Hard to go wrong here. Lots of menu options but the classic is the soup dumpling. I've never seen it quiet here. Everyone loves it.

Juicy dumpling 100% lives up to the hype!! My friend and I came here last night to try their famous dim sum and we were so happy with everything we ordered. Unless you walk, take the subway, or bus, you will have to pay $5/2hr at the parking structure attached to the restaurant. Upon entering, you have the option to order through their kiosks (if paying card or tap) or the front (if paying cash). The menu is pretty straightforward, it tells you everything you need to know regarding portion, price, and what comes in it. My friend ordered the juicy pan fried pork bun and steamed pork/crab soup dumplings, and I ordered the pan fried pork soup dumplings. The restaurant was moderately busy but the food came out so fast I swear it took less than 10 minutes of a wait. The dumplings were all love at first bite. You can tell the wrappers they use are made from scratch, which definitely makes or breaks a dumpling. Soy sauce and chili sauce packets are included but if you need more, there is a self serve section next to the cash register. Very simple yet memorable experience and even though I live in Oakville I would ABSOLUTELY make the hour long trip just to eat here again. We're both still thinking about how we should've ordered more to take home, lol. 11/10 recommend :)
I could not believe how fast and delicious and cheap these dumplings were! i got the fried soup dumplings and fried pork dumplings. It came to like CAN$13 and was very filling and yummy!
Definitely a must try in Toronto! Sign feels like clickbait but it's cheap, affordable, and compares well to higher price point dumplings. By no means are the dumplings here elite, but they are on par with most dumplings at a fraction of the cost. Ordering is very easy with their numbering system (P# for pan fried, S# for steamed, etc). P1 Pan Fried (pork) - honestly the pan fry sounded amazing but it doesn't work that well in XLB style. Felt like less soup and the crisp wasn't that relevant with the small surface area. P4 Pan Fried (chicken) - the pan fry here is much better with more ground to cover, though opt for P3 because it's so juicy. The chicken made this a bit more dry, no juices leaked through, meanwhile the pork one was dripping like a XLB! S1 Steamed (pork) - like a XLB with hearty soup, a very classic dumpling that has no wrongs. Not dried out and it was amazing, on par with most higher priced soup dumplings out there.

Had the chance to try Juicy Dumpling - and this place was soooo delicious! This is a small little joint near the Kensington Market Area, I think near the Chinatown section, and my cousin spoke highly of it. I am a huge fan of the steamed pork dumplings, especially when it comes with soup - and these absolutely hit the spot. For $3.99 a pop this came with 6 dumplings - so juicy and absolutely DELICIOUS! I was blown away how tasty this dish was - and would highly recommend others to try it! read more

During this pandemic, you can order their dumplings through online food apps or walk in. You first go to their Spadina entrance and order, after that follow the arrows and go to the waiting area for food (its inside the mall). Food wait takes roughly 5 minutes. Everything is freshly steamed or panfried. The steam soup bun and their pan fried juicy bun are my FAVOURITE!! Careful if the soup gets too hot and steamy! Dont burn urself! I would suggest taking a small bite of the dumping or bun skin, then pour the soup from the dumpling to a spoon and drink it or just go crazy and drink it right out from the bun, and then take a bite of the bun! HEAVEN! SO FLAVOURFUL! FRESH! SOFT! DELICIOUS!!!! Overall 5/5! read more
If you're looking for delicious and cheap, you've found it. You can get 6 pork xiao long baos aka pork soup dumplings for $2.99. The process: order at the counter, build your own sauce, have a seat, wait for your food, grab food at counter, come back to seat and stuff your face with delicious dumplings. I got an order of the 6 pork soup dumplings (S1, $2.99 for 6 pieces) as well as the pan fried juicy buns (P3, $3.99 for 4 pieces). If you've never had soup dumplings, be careful when you bite, the soup will squirt out from the dumpling! You can either stuff the entire dumpling into your mouth, or open up a little hole in the dumpling for release. The regular soup dumpling was good, but the pan fried juicy dumplings were even more amazing. read more
Juicy Dumpling is a popular shop that's popped up in the heart of Chinatown. True to the locale they offer traditional eats at very affordable takeout prices. Consistency or lack thereof was also commensurate with the price point: their offerings were all shades of a Western cowboy movie... 1) Started "Good" with their Pan Fried Pork Buns which was crispy and juicy hot on the inside. At $3.99 for four, it's quite the deal and I could understand all the rage for this place. 2) Surprisingly "Bad" was their other Shanghai classic: Steam Soup Dumpling packed in a signature red box. Only $2.99 for six neatly folded XLBs but lukewarm which is awful & greasy. This should always be piping hot straight from the steamer to enjoy. 3) Real "Ugly" at the end was their Red Bean Kusa Mochi. Don't be fooled by the advertising, these were three of the worst dessert balls. Each was presented in an oily wrapper and tasted starchy & bland. Definitely one of the items to avoid. The long lineup was out the door, though lunch orders were taken and packed expeditiously. Usual condiments are available on a side counter, and I needed some vinegar to cut the grease. Unfortunately this was a mediocre meal with 1-star added just based on the rock bottom prices. read more
I finally had the chance to order from juicy dumpling in person after ordering it on Uber eats a couple of years ago! Currently, they have take-out only, but I came in the store with a friend to grab some lunch. We each ordered the steamed mini soup Dumplings and the steamed BBQ pork bun. They were ready within like 3 minutes of placing our order. Both were absolutely DELICIOUS. And the prices of this place are literally insane (so inexpensive)!! We were crazy enough to eat our dumplings in Bellevue park (very close by, about a 5 minute walk away) in -10 degree weather, but by the time we got to the park, the buns were still hot and steaming LOL. I cannot recommend this place enough. You get really good comfort food, fast and friendly service, and amazing prices. What more can you ask for!? read more

Stopped by for a snack and my one regret is not being hungry enough to try the soup dumplings. Luckily I got to try the pan fried dumplings and they were phenomenal. Lots of places make these and ends up drying out the soup but there was plenty in these! The crisp on the bottom was perfect and the dough was light and airy. Delicious filling as well - loved this place. FYI - only take out at the moment! read more
Soup dumpling central. This place has the works and everything was a pretty good deal. Easy to order at the front as soon as you walk in. I ordered quite a lot soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings. They also have soup dumplings that are slightly seared on the bottom which are different from the pan fried. All of them were so good. Comparable to the famous Din Tai Fung but cheaper. Walking in the slushy, cold snow to get here was totally worth it. If I were with other people, I would have also tried their cumin fried chicken, but that will have to wait til next time. If you come to Toronto and want cheap eats, this is definitely a must! read more

The restaurant is located inside the Dragon City Mall with dual exit to the heart of the Toronto Chinatown Street. Its like a fastfood chain restaurant and your get the food very quickly. The table was not clean periodically although customers were changing endlessly. So the seating area are not the cleanest. As for the food, you get for what you pay. The juicy dumpling ready within 2 minutes after ordering, which was really express. For the taste, it remind me of the frozen package that bought in the store. But for the price, it def a great deal..... read more
Juicy, soooo greasy! I appreciate how cheap Juicy Dumplings is, and so I put this at 2.5 stars in the name of value-for-money. But I don't get the hype. We got a whole lot of stuff - two types of steamed soup dumplings (pork and pork/crab), pork fried buns, vegetable soft buns, black sesame balls - and all of them were either overly greasy or the dough was overly thick. Also, the dumplings were a bit bland and weren't as hot as expected (especially the steamed soup dumplings). I left Juicy Dumplings feeling really full... but that, unfortunately, wasn't a good thing. I know you get what you pay for, but with all the great reviews, I was expecting more than a generally bland and surprisingly lukewarm grease-fest. This place is a hard pass for me. read more
I got to try this place out during my stay in Toronto, and to say the least, it was one of my favorite meals on the trip. My friends and I got to try the pork steamed mini soup dumplings, pork pan fried steamed mini soup dumplings, pork pan fried juicy buns, pan fried green onion pancakes, and the cumin flavored deep fried chicken. My favorite was definitely the cumin flavored deep fried chicken and the pork pan fried juicy buns. The chicken was so tender, flavorful, and piping hot! The pork pan fried juicy buns were not soggy at all and super flavorful; I wanted more immediately after I took one bite. I would recommend skipping the pan fried green onion pancakes as I found them to be extremely oily and not very rich in green onions. The mini soup dumplings were pretty good! They were not very hot; I know a good soup dumpling by the number of blisters on my tongue after I eat them. Despite these reservations, I would still say this place is solid, and I definitely recommend trying this place out if you are in Toronto! read more
I have been hearing about this place for so long and been wanting to try it for so long. I have always been a huge fan of xlb (xiao long bao steamed pork dumplings). Finally got a chance to stop by the neighborhood today. Ordered two S1 ($2.99 for 6 pork dumplings). There was lots of people there but my order was ready within 5 mins. It's juicy and it's good. The price is affordable. No wonder it's like a neighborhood gem. Will definitely come back for more . read more
These dumplings are delicious, and are what you need on a cold day in Toronto! They are so flavourful and are always served hot and fresh. My only problem is that they increased the price from 2.99 to 3.99. I personally feel like the price increase wasn't necessary. They were perfectly priced before and served as a nice cheap treat. The other concern I have is that there isn't anywhere to sit/stand and enjoy the food. They used to have a stand up bar that people would quickly eat at in the past, but there was caution tape on it. It's difficult to take the soup dumplings and go somewhere else to eat because they get cold and don't taste as good after. read more

Juicy dumpling definitely lives up to their name. The service was very fast and efficient. As soon as I paid, the soup dumplings were all ready to go. Although the dumplings are smaller than your usual, it was quite filling and delicious. I think I like the dumplings more than the spicy wontons but definitely give the wontons a try if u like a lil kick read more
Dang I wish I had came here sooner, the food was amazing and you just can't find such a good value meal at many places! I've heard of Juicy Dumplings for a few months since they opened but never had the chance to try it. But now that I have, I'm definitely coming back for more soon. Their soupy dumplings or xiaolongbaos definitely taste as advertised -- thin batter on the outside and juicy meat filling on the inside! The baos are true to the Shanghai dimsum that they originated from, and actually, the restaurant is owned by the same people behind Shanghai Dimsum (yes, it is the actual restaurant name), so you know the quality will be good. What's more? The food here is so cheap! I'm talking about as long as 6 xiaolongbaos for only $3, which is like 50 cents each. My favourite was the P3 Large Pan Fried Baos which are 4 for $4, but the extra $ was worth it as the baos are a lot bigger and the crispy edges adds another level to the taste. You can also order a few different items to mix and match and the bill will probably only come down to around $10. I can't wait to come back for more :D read more
6 soup dumplings for $2.99??? Crazy fast service? Seating indoors? What's not to love ?! We actually passed this place after dinner but the low price of the soup dumplings was too hard to pass by. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dumplings. There was ample soup within the dumplings, and you could get the soy sauce/vinegar on your own. Food: Well it sure lives up to its name. The dumplings are indeed juicy, warm and sooooo delicious. The pancakes are crispy on the outside but soft and yummy on the side. The red bean is not my fav (very chewy too). Other than that, the food is very affordable and I'm definitely coming back here, no doubt. Customer service: reasonable time to wait for the food. A little smile from the cashier would be nice. Lol. Atmosphere and other: decent amount of space inside. The seating space is okay considering it's in Downtown Toronto. Well, parking is not easy, so I suggest taking the bus/train. read more
TLDR: Small takeout place right in the middle of Chinatown! Great to visit just for a small box of cheap and yummy dumplings. I've had better dumplings, but it's hard to beat the value of these ones! Cheap downtown eat for sure! (Slightly) longer review for those not in a hurry: Taste (3.5/5) : I ordered the regular steamed dumplings (photo attached). Not bad at all! Definitely could be juicier, but the store might be concerned about molten dumplings so maybe that's why they weren't very very hot. I do like my dumplings extra hot and soupy though, so it fell slightly short for me in that sense. For the price point, definitely worth it though! Place (5/5) : Right on the side of arguably the oldest Chinese mall in Chinatown, so it's definitely easy to just swing by, grab a small takeout box of dumplings and go about your day, enjoy it anywhere while absorbing the atmosphere of good ol' chinatown. Really curious about the profit margins on these lol I can forgive the limited protein options and ordering system, simply cause at these prices you can't complain. Straight forward menu, you order in one line then you wait in another. Good filling wrapped in a nice chewy dough. Would recommend would go again. read more

Amazing dim sum spot! All their food offerings are very affordable and very delicious! We got the steamed mini soup dumpling, pan fried dumplings, pan fried juicy buns, and pan fried green onion pancake. Everything was nice and juicy. They come at the perfect temperature for you to begin eating them right away--they aren't too hot so you don't end up burning yourself. They're also not too salty as well! The green onion pancake was very fragrant and a lovely break between meaty dumpling bites. I definitely recommend coming here! It won't break the bank and everything is very delicious! You just have to keep in mind the slightly long wait times to prepare your food. read more
Mmmm this place is yummy!! Tried S1, P3 and S7. The soup dumplings (pork - 6pcs), pan fried juicy buns (pork - 4pcs) and vegetable bun w shiitake mushroom (1pc). The dumplings and juicy buns were so good. The dumplings had nice thickness of wrapping and were filled with soup. The pan fried juicy buns were also filled with soup and the flavours were so yums. The vegetable bun was soft but the taste average. The only thing I wasn't a fan of here was the amount of waste generated. Everything comes in disposable containers and the cutlery is all intended for single-use. Even if you choose the eat-in option, you're eating out if takeout containers. If I ever do eat here again, I'll plan to bring my own containers and cutlery to use. read more
Best bang for your buck on soup dumplings. Essentially it's like a fast food style dumpling establishment. They had something interesting that I would recommend to try which is the pan fried juicy dumplings. The pan fry gives a crispy bottom to add texture and smokiness to it. For less than $4 for around 6 dumplings, that's. really good price. I must say that I wish the broth was a little more rich. However, for the price I can't be asking too much. read more

Honestly I didn't have the most amazing soup dumplings here because the soup itself was a little limited, my personal favorite was Yummy Yummy Dumplings nearby - but the price was very good for what you get and the service is quick and I want to go back and try the pan fried buns! read more

VERY comparable to the Shanghai dumplings I've had in China. I don't know if they make the dumplings right on site, but whatever the case, $2.99 for SIX AUTHENTIC, FLAVOURFUL, & FRESH TASTING xiao long baos is awesome!! Wait time for your order is super minimal too. $2.99/6 pc steamed soup dumpling - The dough is the perfect thickness to keep the soup in, steamed to a perfect chew, and doesn't stick/break easily. The pork filling is just the right amount and packed with that delicious pork juices! I also tried the $3.99 pan-fried mini soup dumplings (6pc) and the pan fried juicy pork buns (4pc). I'd say the juicy pork buns were my MOST FAVOURITE, so worth it for their larger size and extra juiciness! It also had a different dough texture that felt thinner & softer. TIP: Don't forget to utilize their condiments table and get some vinegar-soy sauce for dipping ! It adds a touch of sourness to make the savoury dumpling flavours pop. read more

I would say that it's pretty good value for downtown Toronto. It's not the most amazing soup dumplings I've had- but it's quick and cheap and satisfying. Ordered the pork soup dumplings, the pork and crab soup dumplings, and the fried pork dumplings. The fried pork dumplings were ok but juicy AF - I got some on myself so be careful and eat over the table. The pork and crab soup dumplings were SOOO good I swear it's a big difference in taste for double the price- get them! read more

Cheap and satisfying. You're looking at $3 for six soup dumplings, or $4 for six fried soup dumplings. Other items are also within that price point except the crab soup dumpling offerings. Depending on your luck, it might be super busy, or barely anyone in line. If it's really busy, expect to wait because each order takes some time to fill. Dumplings came out hot. Decent size, filling, and soup. Pretty nice for a snack, or perhaps a meal if you order a couple more. They also take debit/credit. read more
