Red River Cold-Pressed Juice
Angelica L.

Rating: 3.8/5 [take out] Juiceland is located in the Austin Airport in one of the food court area. They have some juices you can grab from the market area and self-check out which is convenient. The price sticker is on the back of the drinks. You can also order on the kiosk or in person at Juiceland if you're interested in a smoothie or bowl. I got a 16 oz Red River juice which is made of apple, pineapple, carrot, carrot, beet, lemon, and ginger for $10.95. Sometimes I don't understand how a small juice bottle is so expensive. It was good, well-balanced, and easy on the tummy.

Fabulous and fast! This crew is speedy and courteous early this morning. Smoothie was quickly ready and I thoroughly enjoyed that Percolator early this morning. Great balance of ingredients and well-blended. Located by Gate 16 and conveniently close to the restrooms & water bottle filler. Menu signage helped us folks who can be slightly indecisive or quite frankly, a little near-sighted. With clear and large print, clear signage with easy to read print sure helped me know the listed ingredients for every smoothie way before approaching the register, super helpful.

The staff was so kind while I was on the phone trying to figure out which smoothie my husband wanted They gave great recommendations as well!! We got the originator and honey beary smoothies, and they were both so delicious Definitely would come back!

Juiceland airport location has a limited menu compared to locations across Austin. It still has their staple smoothies, some prepackaged foods and smoothie bowls. Staff is usually pretty friendly here and drinks come out quick. My knock on this place is they pass on the credit card fee onto the customer, so it's an extra 2-3% and i believe it's a cashless location. Take away the CC fee!

One Star - Disappointing Experience Had a really frustrating experience at Juiceland in the airport. I placed my order and waited patiently in front of the counter the entire time. After a while, it was clear my drink wasn't coming, so I asked about it--only to be told someone else must have taken it. I was literally standing there the whole time, and no one else came close to the counter. Instead of owning the mistake or even offering a basic apology, the staff doubled down and showed zero accountability. No remake, no apology, nothing. For a place that charges premium prices, the service was incredibly careless. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this location.

We had a layover in Austin and needed some fuel! I've been craving smoothies recently so decided to stop by here. I was not disappointed! We got the honey beary and it was so delicious!!! I loved the combination of the berry and peanut butter flavors. It had almondmilk, banana, blueberry, peanut butter, Texas wildflower honey. I never thought of them together but it was really delicious. Great smoothie consistency and they got it out to us within 5 minutes.

The staff was nice and informative with the variety of choices in the menu. The drink and the PB cookie were both good. If you've never had a vegan cookie before, prepare for it to be dry.

Refreshing smoothie while waiting for my connecting flight. The honey beary was great, filling because of the PB-just wish I had gotten a large instead. Prices were reasonable compared to other things around the airport.

Service was good for an airport. Needed a quick bite that was healthy, this spot provided smoothies and açaí bowls. I liked it a lot however I like a more thicker cold consistency but it was a thinner liquidy consistency. I think it needed to be blended more. It was right next to a cafe and small snack to go store. Very central location you will pass after security check point.

Healthy smoothie and juice spot in the Austin airport. Came here prior to a flight and got a protein smoothie. Two sizes available. They have premade juices as well if you're in a rush. Credit cards only. There's plenty of seating available and it's close to a taco spot and grab n' go place if you need something more substantial. You pay first and then they'll call your order when it's ready.

I got a protein smoothie and a bowl. Great meal overall! Much better option in my opinion compared to other standard airport options. I am a fan!

It's berry runny. I think bowls should be colder and thicker

This is a chain I've seen a few times in town. Tried the Originator bowl. Berry based smoothie with apple, blueberry, banana, PB. Topped with granola and a cut strawberry. It's $4.50 extra for the bowl and it has little granola or cut fruit to justify the cost. Stick with the smoothie. Not the best, not the worst for an airport.

JuiceLand needs to take over all Jamba Juice locations ASAP. PLS. I first came across this chain when in Texas with my close friends, immediately fell in love. So glad to run across another before my flight home. Located in the ATL airport. Along with their signature drinks, they have a small selection of snacks and water bottles available. Their drinks are magical. Staff here were very sweet and friendly, in spite of the grouchy airport clientele. HONEY BEARY: To die for. Lovely medley of berries with a hint of honey. Quite thick, which is how I like my smoothies. Granted, much like other juice spots, can be a bit pricey-- IMO, worth the quality. Vegan options also available, even with their limited menu. Top notch choice before a flight.

For example (see picture)- my dad who is far from vegan or vegetarian tried the Caesar salad and Jr Burger today with a milkshake. He also had some of my brisket burger. Words out of his mouth I never thought I'd hear: "if you put this brisket next to Salt Lick, I wouldn't know the difference! The burger tastes even better than a 'normal burger' and Caesar salad out of this world. Are you sure this is actually vegan???" Then he went on to say, "If I had this place where I lived, I'd come here 2-3 times a week to eat." This is coming from someone who thought vegan food wasn't great. I'm telling you- the world's biggest critic loved it today. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So- vegans, vegetarians, people allergic to dairy, and omnivores....this is for ALL of you. No joke.

First walking in I was greeted by the staff and they were so welcoming and sweet. We got offered a cookie while ordering, which definitely sweetened the deal for me. The staff answered all of our questions and even let us try some of the items as we were in between the Mac n cheese with brisket or not. First off, the bbq brisket is CRAZY good! It's made from mushroom and cooked so well. I got the brisket with Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was very creamy, but I would not say cheesy. I really liked the mac n cheese, even though I usually do not gravitate towards it. My favorite item other than the brisket would be the onion rings. It was savory and rich, and has a great crunch to it. I recommend getting it with the ranch, but there is also an option for bbq sauce. We also got the Carne Asada Steak Quesadilla (weekly item) and a Jr. Mission Burger. It was good to try but when compared to the brisket and onion rings, it ranks lower on my list. The items did not stand out to me, but were a decent choice. Overall, I would definitely come back and try their other items on the menu. Loved the team, they definitely made the experience for me!

It feels like these days, you're never truly taken care of. You walk inside a grocery store, and…read moreyou're forced to check yourself out. You visit a restaurant and you order via a kiosk and get your own beverages. Pretty soon, we'll be entering the doctor's office and drawing our own blood. But Fabrik? They take care of you like it's 1990 or something. I've never had a dining experience like this. For example, at one point, I went to the bathroom and left my crumpled up napkin on the table like some sort of barbarian. When I returned, the napkin was neatly folded and my silverware had been replaced. It was so shocking that I almost wanted to test it again. How many times would they fold it? Beyond the exceptional care by the staff, the food was absolutely divine. You can tell the chef planned every course with care and a knowledge of food I could only dream of obtaining. I had never been to a restaurant where you're served multiple small dishes over the course of two hours. I was honestly worried I'd leave still feeling hungry. I was wrong. So wrong. The last time I felt this full was Thanksgiving 2004 when my aunt accidentally made too many mashed potatoes. At one point during the Fabrik dining experience, I said out loud, "Oh my god," and then quickly remembered I was in a public setting. Every course was delicious. The bread, the pasta, the white bean dip, the banana miso mousse... IT''S ALL SO GOOD! If you're wondering, "Should I really spend this much money to eat?" the answer is yes. You should. Sell a kidney if you must. It doesn't have to be yours. Just sell a kidney.

Dinner at Fabrik is more than just dinner, it's an experience. From the sleek interior perfect for…read morea small group or intimate night out, to the plating and delicate fusion of flavors in every dish, every aspect of our meal seemed meticulously thought out and perfectly executed by Fabrik's wife and husband team Je and Silas Wallerstein. I was lucky enough to snag a table for three during Fabrik's earlier timeslot (5:45 p.m.) on a Friday night. I've been dreaming of visiting Fabrik since it first opened in 2023, so when I received an email about the opening of Fabrik's new Tarrytown location, I knew this was my chance. Fabrik's tasting menu costs $105 a person, with an extra optional wine pairing for $65. We opted to purchase a bottle of bubbles instead of the wine pairing, as the pairing includes approximately three glasses of wine (too much for us). Each course is a special expression of in season produce and other ingredients. Fabrik tries to use local ingredients whenever possible. Fabrik's friendly staff explain the details of each course to your table as they're serving. My favorite savory dish is "black and yellow" which features shiitake mushroom cappelletti in a corn cream reminiscent of corn chowder, served alongside corn madeleines (the first savory expression of a madeleine I've ever seen). Another favorite is the "verdant" featuring scalloped potatoes with homemade cabbage and topped with an aromatic lemongrass hollandaise tableside. After telling friends about our visit to Fabrik, multiple people asked if I was full after a fully vegan meal. A resounding yes. Each plate is on the smaller end, which is necessary because there are eight courses. The last three courses are sweet, which is a delight for those of us with a sweet tooth. My favorite sweet course is the "open sesame" with banana miso mousse and roasted banana compote, served alongside a crunchy black sesame sable. This dish is topped with an extremely realistic "leaf" made solely of banana and sugar, showing the true artistry of this restaurant. Our meal ended with a delicate yuzu macaron topped with a butterfly, which was the perfect citrusy end to an otherwise equally superb meal. Each member of my group left with bellies full and dreams of our favorite courses. After visiting this unique spot, it's easy to see why Fabrik is Michelin recommended. This was maybe my favorite meal I've ever had in Austin. Fabrik's tasting menu changes seasonally, so we tried their "Summer" menu during our August visit. I hope to return for their winter dishes. Try Fabrik for a night to remember, if you can snag a reservation.

Fry Let me tell you…read moreabout FTG. The little food truck in the back of a sweet-ass dive bar called Mama Dearest. Do you wanna know about the dive bar? You'll have to check out my other review. But just know it's filled with weird taxidermy and novelty items that are one of a kind. But I digress. Back to the food. I would like to tell you I tried everything on the menu as many times as I came here. But alas, only four or five things. Unfortunately, their pierogies are the best thing I've ever had. Not just in Austin, but ever. I am now desperately seeking pierogies that rival FTG's. It's not just the pierogies themselves... but the sauce, it would make angels sing. Every time I tried something new, my heart would long for the pierogies. I finally gave in to my desires and quit trying other new things. I think next time I go back I'm just going to ask strangers if I can have a bite of their food, so I can say I've tried everything. But until then, this review is for what I have tried. After the pierogies. My next favorite things in order. Fried chicken (perfectly crisp bites), jerk chicken (little spicy, not dry, perfect), chilli (so spicy), gnocchi. The cheesecake would technically rank after the pierogies, but because they're a dessert I don't wanna mess up the order here and confuse y'all. The two dudes that work this truck, are here EVERY time. I'm pretty sure the only days they take off is Mondays and Tuesdays. Tell them the girl from Kansas City with a big dog sent to you. Lastly. Know that you won't find this place overrun with college kids or snotty hipsters. Just regular people enjoying a good dive bar.

Rating: 2.7/5 [Postmates delivery]…read more We were so excited to try FTG's food, especially given its high Yelp rating. Unfortunately, it ended up being extremely disappointing. The meats were unforgivably dry, though everything else was good. Steak & Zab ($22): The zab, a mix of green beans, mushrooms, and broccoli tossed in salsa macha with sabayon, was actually enjoyable. I liked the flavors, but it was a bit too creamy/saucy for my husband (likely due to the sabayon). The steak, however, was dry and very chewy. Asian Style Spare Ribs ($17): This came with a 1/3 rack of spare ribs, a Thai cabbage salad, and five-spice fried potatoes. The potatoes were fire, and the salad was solid. But again, the meat missed the mark--super dry for the most part. We tried dipping it in the sabayon and other sauces to add moisture, but it didn't help. The fish sauce glaze didn't come through either. The only redeeming quality was the generous portion size.
