Showed up for the first time, 30 minutes before closing, for something quick and simple, I was turned away. Came back a couple days later, 1 1/2 hours before they closed, and was turned away again. Came back a Third time! This time in the late morning! Stood around for 15 minutes without anyone saying a word to me, and it was painfully obvious I was looking for someone to talk to... Obviously didn't want my business. I took my money down the street to a competitor and was treated wonderfully, immideatly, and at a price lower than what Juan's originally quoted me. read more

I went to go see what my check light engine was about. They told me I needed an oxygen sensor and they would charge me $30 dollars to install it. I told them I could order the part and come back by 3 pm the next day. I get my part the next day and take it to the location on Saviers where the mechanic said he would be. I arrive the next day and I am informed that the mechanic is at the Oxnard Blvd location. So I go to the one on Oxnard and there was only about 2 cars getting worked on. I go to the office and they tell me I'm right after one of the car that's been worked on is done. I wait for about 20 minutes and one of the cars in front of me is done. However other cars start pulling into the drive way around 4-5. The cashier lady acts like she doesn't see me because my installation is only $30 dollars. So she rudely tells me to back up so I can make room for the other cars. She then proceeds to tell me that I have to wait for these cars. I asked why and she basically said they have priority over me because they're repairs are most costly. That was a slap to my face because I was already waiting. Not only did that mechanic at Saviers tell me to show up at the shop the next day and wasn't there, but the shop at OXNARD picks who they want to work on no matter if you were there beforehand! Go to this shop if you have an expensive job, they will disregard people that were there as long as you pay the most out of all the customers. Ps. I went to JJs right across the street and they took my money with a smile. I guess they value customers and not money. Gave me a great price on a catalytic converter with installation, but the techs working on it reshaped my tail pipe with a blow torch and a pry bar and it fried my O2 sensor. Failed smog with a dtc po146. Replaced the O2 sensor for $52, but still getting the code coming up. Never had that problem before. Not happy and it is still not fixed or smogged. read more

After 13 years my stock muffler fell off, I took my car here 3 men swarmed my car on the lift and I think maybe 15 min the had repaired my exhaust, installed and welded a magnaflow muffler and crafted a tip. The people working at Juan's seem like a great group, but the actual work they put out did not impress me one bit. I went to install some exhaust tips, something basic, they asked me where I wanted them to sit which I told them, then they started to get to work. When they finished and set my car down I saw the tips weren't set anywhere near where I wanted them. They were sticking out way too much. Juan himself was saying that that's as far as they could go which is complete bs. Now here I am at Pronto Muffler right down the street and Andy is working his magic to fix Juan's muffler. read more

My vehicle needed a new catalytic converter and I went here. They did the work right then and it took them about an hour and a half. While there, they told me it would be around $250. I thought it was very expensive but I had looked up the prices for a catalytic converter before and thought it was understandable because labor was included. Once they changed it, they told me that for another $20 they would make sure that no air could escape in order for my car to pass. I said that it was fine since I did not know much about cars and wanted my car to pass the test. Overall they only ended up charging me $240. I went off and was happy that my car could now pass the test. I went to get a smog check again and once again it did not pass the test. They said that there was something wrong with the electrical system in the car. I then had it checked by a mechanic and he told me that there was nothing wrong with the electrical system and that it had to do with the catalytic converter. I told him that I just got it changed. But he once again said that the problem was the catalytic converter. I did not think he was telling me the truth because I thought he was trying to get money out of me since that is how some mechanics work. I then took it to another mechanic out of town. He checked it right then and showed me what he was doing. He also used some sort of software that they use to check up on vehicles and he did so with my car. He showed me how it was running with this software and he said that the problem was the catalytic converter also. Two different mechanics told me that it was the catalytic converter that was the problem. I had all my worked done with this new mechanic and he had to install a new catalytic converter. For all the worked he did, he charged me $200 and this included a smog check, in which my car finally passed. I am going to write them a good review. Overall, Juan's Muffler cheated me out of $240 and I would not recommend them if you want a new catalytic converter. They screwed me over and I learned my lesson to never go here again. They are definitely not getting business from me ever again. read more

If I could rate these guys lower than one star I would. I brought a non catalytic Chevy Pick up in to replace duals and asked specifically for 2-1/4 or 2-1/2 with 36" glass packs and a crossover. It took them 4 hours, in between chatting with the local churro cart guy, chatting with passers by all while I waited. When they dropped the truck off the lift they had installed 2" pipe with 24" mufflers and the rear tail pipe hit the leaf springs. - So back up on the lift for another hour or so. I was so fed up that I took the truck and got the hell out of there. 4 months later the mufflers had blown out and one of the mounts had broken (Previous set of glass packs remain low & mellow for over 16 years). I WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS SHOP. A waste of more than half a day and money. read more

Disaster struck when I closed out the RV tailpipe when stepping down a curb. After ringing a few muffler shops on Oxnard only to be told they were too busy and bring it in tomorrow, I called Juan. Juan asked me to bring it in and his staff cut off the damaged piece and welded a new pipe in within 15 mins. Back on the road and able to enjoy California in 15 mins and out of pocket only $25. I had just finished the cylinder heads on my Pontiac Grand Am GT but could not isolate an exhaust leak. I went to Juan's at the recommendation of Chris Parra from Parra's in Oxnard. The gentleman at Juan's put my car on the lift and told me exactly where the leak was and gave me some pointers on fixing it. He also told me he would not charge me for this information. When I came here for the first time, I was immediately greeted by Michael. He got me in the bay right away. I originally came here to do a resonator and muffler delete and the Infiniti M45 sounded amazing but after driving it, there was too much in cabin drone. I came back a few days later to get Magnaflow resonators installed and only waited less than 10 minutes to get my car in the bay. They quickly installed the resonators and off I went. In cabin drone was gone but there was vibration in the trunk that would enter the cabin at the 2k rpm range which was annoying. I decided to get high flow mufflers installed but wanted a specific sound so I purchased my own. I'm back at the shop for the 3rd time to have them install and was in the bay in about 15 min. It was a little tricky to get the angles for the new piping but they got it perfect. This shop is busy but they get cars in/out fast. read more

I recently took my vehicle in to get it repaired for a smog check. I bought my own part which was a catalytic converter and they put it on for a good price. It took the mechanics less than an hour to put the cat on my car and I was out of there in no time. I took my car in to do the smog check and it passed without any problems.
