So I went in today to install some exhaust cut outs and he was straight up with how if I installed them with how low my car is I'd just ruin them because I wouldn't have enough clarence long story short he was honest with me from the beginning and I ended up just doing a muffler delete and He did a great job clean welds and both tips are on very evenly over looks clean and sounds good! read more

Took my car to Performance Exhaust to have my new shorty headers connected to my mid pipe. Jim was very friendly when I mention I could not leave the car. I stayed in the Guest waiting area in front of his shop. After he completed the work, Jim mention to me that the shorty headers I had were the wrong headers. He also mentions that I may have problems with my steering components. I asked him if I would. He mentions he knew about the issue since he previously had another car with the same problem, and that he has over 20 years' experience. He also mentions that if I wanted to get a new complete exhaust for the car it would be around 500 dollars with an X pipe. I mention to him I would think about it and would call him back. This is where things went south. I took my car for a cruise and it was very hard to make sharp turns, and a loud noise would occur. I checked under the car, and the steering components started to dent the new exhaust pipe. While I was under the car, I also noticed holes in the welds that were performed by Jim. I went ahead and fixed the issue with the component hitting the car with a hammer, but still need a slight bend in pipe. I went ahead and called Jim. I voiced my concerns. We schedule an appt for 9-9:30am. Jim called me back a day before stating he needs to keep the car the whole day. I mention to him that it was just a few welds and a slight dent needed for a fix. That I can take the car for him to look at and then we can decide from there. On the day of the appt I should up at 9:29. I asked Jim if I should pull around, he said, no the appt was for 9am. I mention to him we said 9:30. He said he could not do it unless the car stayed all day at the shop. He did not bother to look at the issue to see how long it would take. I told him we can reschedule for another day. He mad an appt for next week Tuesday. I called him back when I arrived and mention to him that I would like to cancel the appt since I was very dissatisfied with his service. He started that the appt was for 9 and that I was late, but I was not since he mentions 9 930am. He also stated I had the wrong headers. I mention to him he did, but not until the work was performed. He also mentions that he offered to fix the issue for free if I got the correct headers. He never mentions to redo the exhaust if I got new headers for free. He mentions he could create a new exhaust for me with an X pipe for around 500 dollars. Which I already have. I mention to him I was going to write a review about the service I received, and he started insulting me, and mention that he has many clients. Before I could say pictures speak louder than words, he hung up. For this reason, I am giving a 1 star review. read more

From the start, Performance Exhaust impressed me. When no other shop in town would even attempt to give me an estimate over the phone, Jim had no issues taking a moment to do so. I needed a full header-back system--brought my car in around 9, and they had it done by lunchtime. The new exhaust looks and sounds great. 5 stars. Additionally, the shop is cool, and tidy. A few race cars were parked out front and they were playing good music. Both Jim and his son were very pleasurable. Not necessities, but a cool bonus to an already good experience. Worste customer service ever! I needed to get a full exhaust installed in my truck and wanted to do some new pipes on my Hotrod. I walked into the shop and felt like I was trespassing. I stood there while the guy behind the desk whined about his rent and the drug problem in his apartment building to a buddy for a good 10 minutes while I stood 2 feet from him and never once was acknowledged. I finally Walked out. ( not that he noticed) What a waste of time! Just a simple " I'll be with you in a moment" would have been fine. read more
