He is a diligent worker, honest businessman and genuinely enjoys helping people with their car troubles. He seems to get satisfaction from solving automotive problems and getting people up and running again, and as such it is great to see someone that enjoys their work so thoroughly. While I have taken my car to him many times, usually it is for service rather than an emergency repair, in every instance his knowledge and positive demeanor is unmatched by any other auto service I've visited. Never once have I thought he might be over-quoting something purposely or raising the costs of parts just to supplement himself, practices I have witnessed at other auto repair businesses. In short I wished I lived closer now so that I could continue to use his services!

What a treat to find someone who not only is knowledgeable but also honest with his customers! Nobody is disappointed with Norm! David G.

Turns out Saticoy Auto Body is also rather picky about doing great work. I had heard great things about them from friends who show their antique cars, so I wondered whether they would even consider working on a humble Mazda. I looked around the shop and it was full of classic collectibles. When I came to pick up the car (on the date promised), I found it sitting out in the bright sunlight, looking shiny and beautiful. Perfect, in fact. I figured that it would be perfect, since they had it sitting out in bright sunlight that would reveal any possible blemish. And it stood the test well. I explained the issue to Dave and dropped the car off. He never gave me a written estimate of the cost of repairs to fix the issue, but proceeded to take most of the engine apart and car parts (filters, wipers, license plate light etc.) and sent me photos of the parts on the shop floor. Without authorization or an estimate he proceeded with replacement of parts that he decided to replace amounting to $1000.
